CRLF in display editors

BRAVO has this nice solution - a flag symbol, differing from the cursor symbol,
always marks the end of the file.  If you made this symbol so that it would
be "natural" to want to see it at the bottom of the file, on a separate line,
then I bet most people would usually type that last CRLF.  Perhaps a 5
character long horizontial bar would be appropiate as a symbol?
