By the way, I don't think mice will be generally attached to terminals,
since more and more editing will be done locally by workstations. Thus
I think the boring discussion of interlocking files is more important
than the interesting discussion of hooking mice to terminals. Indeed, I
edited a file tonight and found it had been modified while I was
editing. Fortunately our system detects when this happens, and lets you
first merge your changes with the other changes. This is very easy to
do. It just shows you the text, with each alternative presented, and
lets you choose either, or both, or invoking the editor recursively. In
many ways this is preferable to making one person wait.
