WORDS AND AWARDS

I've been meaning to record some new content, but I haven't had the
opportunity.  Perhaps tonight I can do my next Eddie K audioplay.  I've
decided that, for better or worse, Eddie K is going to be a series.  So
I guess it's "Eddie K" when I talk about the show, and Eddie K (you
know, without the quotes) when I talk about the character.  Anyway, the
script for Episode #02 has been written for a few weeks now, so it's
time to get cracking.  Episode #03 is also done, as well as a "Hacker
Public Radio" script ("Theater of the Imagination -- Part 04").  I'm
going to start having a regular format for that show, so that I can
cover more material than simply my own opinions.  I'll be talking about
some of the technical stuff involved in making my shows; then about
particular shows from the days of Old Time Radio; then something from
the modern days of dramatic audio media (stuff other than my own, I
mean); then, FINALLY, my own opinions.  It'll be like a REAL show, see?
Not just some shabby thing whipped together at the last minute.  'Cause
that wouldn't be like me at ALL.  Anyway, I have that HPR to record, and
the "Eddie K" stuff, so I intend to get some of this out of the way over
the weekend.

Let's see...ah, "Blue Heaven" has been accepted as an official nominee
for the 2011 Parsec Awards, which is an annual award for the best in
speculative-fiction dramatic audio.

This is no great honor just yet, as I submitted it myself, but it had to
be done in a specific format and within a specific time frame, and I was
able to manage both.  If it makes it to the NEXT round of nominations,
though, it'll be something to crow about.  I think there's approximately
no chance of that, but at least I understand the process now.
