Installation:
1)Open the modem case using a wide blade screwdriver. Pry the top
separate from the bottom.
2)Solde� th� bande� en� o� � smal� switchin� diod� suc� a� 1N91� o� �
1N414� t� th� RS23� connecto� pi� 20� Kee� th� lea� lon� an� inser� �
i� � piec� o� sleevin� strippe� fro� � wire� Lookin� fro� wher� th� �
ribbo� cabl� enter� th� board� thi� i� th� cente� o� th� � pin� i� �
th� 2n� ro� from the outside of the case.
3)Solde� th� othe� en� o� th� diod� t� � piec� o� wire� Slid� sleevin�
over the exposed diode lead for insulation.
4)Solder the other end of the wire to the plus(+) side of capacitor C48.
This was in the farthest corner of mine. On newer boards, it is near
the center of the board.
