 %                       Introduction to AMOS                           %

AMOS is the operating system  that this computer uses (AMOS stands for
Alpha Micro Operating System).   As a user, you must make every effort
to avoid being a DUWFUSS (Dumb User Who Forgets Utterly Simple Stuff).

There are two basic areas in which  to  enter  commands.
(That's right--You are the boss; the computer is the peon!!!)

The most important area is the AMOS monitor level  (refered to as AMOS
or  AMOS  monitor).   This  level  is where you can enter commands  to
access  files  and information about the  system.   You  are  at  AMOS
monitor when you  see  a  period,  followed  by the cursor. (This is a
  cursor "^% %^").

The second area is when you are NOT at AMOS.  Examples of not being at
AMOS include  such things as being in a file, running a program, using
  the mailing subsystem.

Please remember  what  it  means  to be at AMOS or AMOS monitor.  This
will help you use the computer betterer like more efficiently-wise.
Can you dig it??? Chow, user!!!
