This EXTRA program contains a complete set of functions which will permit the
SuperVUE user to perform complex typesetting functions which are very difficult
or impossible to do using current SuperVUE software.
The program should be loaded whenever the user is typsetting text for printing
on PostScript printers. It is designed to work in conjunction with SuperVUE
typsetting software. Listed below are some of the functions performed by the
program together with a comprehensive explanation of the Tables features with
examples (in the Appendix).

.outline 2 Menu

_Selection Menu_
.HLT KEY
)All functions in this Typesetting Extra Program are accessible by selecting
from a menu. Just type _ CTRL GG | cGG _ and press the key corresponding in the menu
to the Function you want. To skip the menu, press _ CTRL G | cG _ and then the key
corresponding to the function desired.

_Tables_
.HLT KEY
)Typeset complex tables with the tables program. This tables program is much
more powerful than the SuperVUE .table command and the tables are much quicker to
print. Just hit B in the menu (or _ CTRL GB | cGB _ ) to bring in the special table dot
commands. Set your ruler up with left or right justified tab stops and type your table
exactly as you want it to look. (See Appendix "A" for complete instructions and
examples).
.outline 2 Large Page Size
.hlt bold
_Large (14") Page Printing_
.hlt key
)SuperVUE assumes you want to use 11 inch paper. The Legal page size program
(select M in the menu or type _ CTRL GM | cGM _ ) allows you to print your document on
legal size paper and allows you to set manual feed. (If you do not have a legal size
paper tray you must first select the manual feed option in the menu). The page size
program actually fools SuperVUE into thinking in a smaller point size and the printer
actually "blows" up the page for printing on larger paper. You should return the
document to normal page size after printing before editing again.
.outline 2 Too Many Capitals Fix
.hlt bold
_Too Many Capitals Fix_
.hlt key
)Fix those lines which have too many capitals and crowd all the letters
together. This generalized solution will properly adjust any line or paragraph to give
proper spacing between words. No need to experiment by printing several times. If you
edit the paragraph or line, just reformat and re-fix it. Type _ CTRL GC | cGC _ or
select C in the menu.
.outline 2 Font Calculation
.hlt bold
_Font Calculation (SuperVUE Textsize Program)_
.hlt KEY
)Calculate ruler size for all fonts on the LaserWriter Plus: Palatino,
AvantGarde, NewCentury Schoolbook, Helvetica Narrow, Bookman, ZapfChancery as
well as Helvetica, Times and Courier. Type _ CTRL GA | cGA _ or select A in the menu.
.outline 2 Exact Position in Inches

_Exact Position on Page (ADOBE Extra Program)_
.hlt key
)Access the SuperVUE ADOBE extra program.
)Select I (for inches) or press _ CTRL GI | cGI _.
.hlt bold
_Chain to other Extra Programs_
.hlt key
)Modify the source code in XMENU.X to set up a main menu for your Extra
programs. Select _ CTRL GZ | cGZ _ and you will chain to this menu.
.outline 2 Sequential Lists
.hlt bold
_Sequential Lists_
.hlt key
)Set up your sequential lists with one keystroke. Select L in the menu or
type _ CTRL GL | cGL _. S will set up commands to start your list. E will put in the
list element with the necessary .nofeed and set the cursor to the left margin.
.outline 2 Pagination
.hlt bold
_Pagination_
.hlt key
)To properly paginate your document use the pagination routine. (Note: this
is essential if using tables). Type _ CTRL X | cX _ to move quickly to all page breaks.
Select P in the menu or type _ CTRL GP | cGP _.
.outline 2 Other features
.hlt bold
_Other features_
There are a number of other editing features which have been adapted from standard
word processing extra programs supplied by SuperVUE and incorporated into this program
for the convenience of the user. These include functions such as move to end of word,
next paragraph, previous paragraph, re-align and reformat paragraph, highlight line,
highlight word and remove highlight, and on-line help, as well as the following:

_.NOFEED_
.hlt key
)Quick way to type .nofeed. The .nofeed command is commonly used in SuperVUE
typsetting (except in tables) to ensure consistent horizontal placement of
proportionally spaced text. such as numbered lists (see also Sequential Lists
function). It is also needed if you wish to have more than one font types in the same
line (for example, to insert a
