Display PPN info for disk - David Byrne, WPS Group London
DCD Version 1.2(105) (See Bug fixes for changes from previous versions)
Disk PPN information at a glance - FURTHER ENHANCED.
Program Description:
DCD displays the mounted disks on the system, the PPns and ersatzes
on a selected disk, and the files in a selected PPn. It provides a
friendly means to move between PPns and by allowing a description
to be associated with each PPn, makes having to remember which PPn
has been used for which purpose easier to remember.
Program use:
In Version 1.2, DCD may be called in the following ways:
1. DCD Display PPns and ersatzes for the current device.
If a text file called WHO.AMI containing a one-line
description has been created in a PPn, this will
also be displayed, so that the purpose of each PPn
may be shown.
Use control-T for next page, arrow keys to select
PPn to log into, 'G' to log into selected PPn,
'F' to display the files in the selected PPn,
and 'L' to label a PPN with a description (automatically
creates a WHO.AMI file in the PPN).
In the file display, use ESC to redisplay PPns,
control-T for next page or 'Q' to exit.
2. DCD <disk> Display PPns and ersatzes for specified
device. Display and use as for 1 above.
3. DCD/D Display currently mounted devices, with their labels
and creation date, and allow one to be chosen using
the arrow keys. The labels are created using the AMOS
LABEL command, David Pallmans DSKLBL program or some
similar program.
Use control-T for next page, 'Q' to quit, arrow keys
to select a disk, 'P' to display the PPns for the
selected disk, and in addition to the options for
the PPn display in 1 and 2, ESC will return to the
disk screen so that another device may be selected
for display.
DCD has been written in AlphaC, Version 1.3C.
Version 1.2(104) Enhancements and bug fixes:
1. When logged into [1,2] options to add/delete PPNs are displayed. These
(obviously) should be used with care.
2. A bug existed in earlier versions where files in the final block of
the UFD weren't displayed. This has now been remedied.
Version 1.2(105) Bug fix:
1. Fixed bug where files in first block of UFD were displayed twice if there
was only one UFD block.
