Overview of Telnet alternative Windows9x/Xp clients
Tonight with the guys we had nothing to do in MRC and we
decided to test alternative terminals for checking ANSI
quality for Windows 9x/Xp. Alternative of Putty, NetRunner
and SyncTerm. | |
Mt Term (free) | |
Cool and fast terminal that can open BBS in "full srceen mode"
in the whole window by pressing Alt + Enter. And to change
the color of messages in MRC, you need to press Shit + PgUp.
The size of the windowed mode is controlled by the settings
of the Windows window console. Coping and paste text as
in a standard Windows console program.

Tel Star (free) | |
A very fast and very inconvenient client. You can see everything
for yourself in the image. It is inconvenient to copy and
paste text. There is no full screen mode.
Tel Star [54 kb] | |
Tera Term (free) | |
Simple terminal for simple BBSing. You can everything
copied and pasted. But ANSI graphics work is very poor.
There is no full screen mode.

Zoc Term (shaware) | |
Very cool terminal. You can open up to 19 BBSs at a time.
Information is conveniently copied and pasted. There is no
full screen mode. Has many additional settings.
ANSI graphics display well. It all depends on your personal
screen settings and font settings. I have not found an address
book. | |
