Mobilization: Last Putin's bluff

In announcing "partial mobilization", Putin, as usual, lied. As
numerous commentators point out, the word "partial" in the title,
without being specified in the text of the decree, actually allows
for mobilization without restrictions. Information coming from
the field confirms this assumption. Reports are coming in from
various cities in Russia about a virtually forcible mobilization.
There have been many cases of detention of young people on the
streets, in cafes, in parks, and in other public places.
OMON (Special armded police forces) and Rosgvardiya squads catch
young people and deliver them to the military registration and
enlistment offices. Meanwhile, the mobilization announced by Putin
provoked an unprecedented wave of flight from Russia. The male
population of Russia rushed to those countries where a visa is not
required. Tickets for planes and buses are almost impossible to get.
Their prices have risen tenfold. So already a few hours after Putin's
speech, tickets for a flight from Moscow to Istanbul cost 5 thousand
dollars. But even at this price it is impossible to buy these tickets.
The price of a ticket for a flight from Moscow to Dubai has reached
an astronomical figure of 1 million rubles. Residents of Russia are
fleeing the country and on their own. Huge columns of vehicles lined
up on the border with Georgia. On the border with Finland, the length
of the queue of cars exceeded 35 km.
Against this background, the Russian authorities were actually
restricting the exit of men of military age from the country.
A conscript, by decree of Putin, can be any man from 18 to 60 years
old. Meanwhile, spontaneous protests began in a number of Russian
cities. Rallies and demonstrations were noted in the Far East and
Siberia. In Moscow, Nuen (St. Petersburg) and in Yekaterinburg,
protesters clashed with riot police and the Russian Guard. Local
sources report that many young people were seized right during the
protests and taken to the military registration and enlistment
offices. In Moscow, during the dispersal of a rally, riot police
killed a young girl. The mobilization announced by Putin was
commented on by the leaders of almost all Western countries, as
well as numerous experts and analysts.
Journalists note that the general idea of all these comments and
assessments was a statement of the weakness of the Kremlin regime
and the actual recognition by Moscow of its inability to wage
a modern war. In this regard, a number of analysts drew attention to
the subtext of Putin's announced mobilization and announced
"referendums" in the regions of Ukraine occupied by Russia. In their
opinion, Putin made a bet on nuclear blackmail. The fact is that
after the so-called. "referenda" on the annexation of the occupied
territories of Ukraine to Russia, the Kremlin intends to present the
further offensive of the Ukrainian army in the Donbass as Ukraine's
aggression against Russia. Like, in this case, Moscow can use nuclear
weapons, because. the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
directly threatens the "integrity" of Russia.
In accordance with the concept of national security of the Russian
Federation, in this case the Kremlin "has every right to use nuclear
weapons to protect the integrity of the country." Thus, according to
some experts, Putin is again trying to draw a "red line" to the West,
threatening nuclear war if these lines are violated. How effective
Putin's latest bluff will be will be shown in the coming days.
However, even today, judging by the reaction of the United States
and European countries, the threat of nuclear blackmail is unlikely
to affect the determination of the Western alliance to help Ukraine
win a military victory on the battlefield. What's next? According
to observers, the situation in Russia will rapidly deteriorate in all
directions. The obvious dissatisfaction of the population with the
announced mobilization, the growing problems in the economy,
international isolation and sanctions may ultimately lead to an
uncontrolled process of Russia's disintegration.
That is why many Western experts are already calling today to be
ready for the collapse of Russia and interaction with the newly
formed political and state entities that will arise on the ruins
of the last empire, the agony of which has been going on since
1991. And one more conclusion from this whole story. As many
commentators have noted, the fact that mobilization has been
announced and Putin's stated figure of 300,000 soldiers needed for
the war in Ukraine indicates that Moscow's declared army strength
of 1,200,000 is in fact the same bluff as Russian weapons. Russia
does not have such an army, just as it does not have modern high-tech
weapons. The only thing that Putin managed to do during his reign
was to build a virtual "Putemkinskaya village", which is being
destroyed before our eyes.
