Israel: Microbiology professor's open letter to the authorities on Covid
Professor Ehud Tsimron, head of the Department of Microbiology
and Immunology at Tel Aviv University and one of Israel's leading
immunologists, has written an open letter (

sharply criticizing Israel's - and indeed the world's - handling of the
coronavirus pandemic.
Ministry of Health, it's time to admit defeat In the end, the truth
always comes out, and the truth about coronavirus policy is
gradually coming out. As disruptive concepts collapse one after
another, there is nothing left but to tell the experts who have led
the management of the pandemic: We told you. Two years late,
you finally realize that the respiratory virus is impossible to
defeat and that such an attempt is doomed to failure. You won't
admit it because you haven't made a lot of mistakes in the last two
years, but in hindsight it's clear that you've failed in almost
everything you've done, and even the media is already struggling
to hide your shame. You refused to admit, despite years of
observation and scientific evidence, that infections come in waves
that subside on their own. You insist on attributing any wave
reduction to your actions alone, and thus, through false propaganda,
you "beat the disease." And again you defeated him, and again,
and again, and again, and again. You refused to admit that mass
testing is ineffective, despite the fact that your own contingency
plans explicitly say so ("Pandemic Influenza Health Preparedness
Plan 2007", p. 26).
You refuse to admit that those who have been ill have better
immunity than those who have been vaccinated, although it is already
known and observed that unvaccinated people are more likely to
become infected than unvaccinated people who have been ill. You
refused to admit, contrary to the evidence, that the vaccinated are
contagious. Based on this, you hoped to achieve herd immunity
through vaccination - and you failed in that too. You stubbornly
ignore the fact that the disease is dozens of times more dangerous
for at-risk groups and the elderly than for young non-risk people,
despite the findings that were made in China back in 2020. You
refused to recognize the "Barrington Declaration" signed by more
than 60,000 scientists and medical professionals, or other programs
based on common sense. You decided to ridicule, slander, distort
and discredit them. Instead of the right programs and people, you
have chosen professionals who are not properly trained to manage
a pandemic (physical therapists as top government advisers,
veterinarians, security personnel, media workers, etc.).
You have not set up an effective vaccine side effect reporting
system, and side effect messages have even been removed from your
Facebook page. Doctors avoid tying side effects to a vaccine so you
don't track them down, as some of their colleagues have. You have
ignored numerous reports of changes in the intensity of menstruation
and the length of the menstrual cycle. You have ignored data that
would allow for an objective and relevant study (for example, you
deleted passenger data at Ben Gurion Airport). Instead, you
published nonsensical articles about the efficacy and safety of
vaccines with Pfizer executives. In your arrogance, you also
overlooked the fact that the truth will eventually come out. And
it's starting to become clear. The truth is that you have driven
society's trust in you to an unprecedented low and undermined your
credibility. The truth is that you have wasted hundreds of billions
of shekels on bullying propaganda, on ineffective checks, on
disastrous lockdowns, and on the disruption of everyday life over
the past two years.
You have destroyed our children's education and their future. You
make the kids feel guilty. They are afraid, smoke, drink, become
addicted, drop out of school and fight, according to school
principals across the country. You hit livelihoods, the economy,
human rights, mental and physical health. You insulted colleagues
who did not report to you, turned people against each other, divided
society and polarized discussions. You stigmatize people who don't
want to get vaccinated as deniers, social pests and spreaders of
disease without any scientific justification. You are promoting an
unprecedentedly draconian policy of discrimination,
disenfranchisement and selection of people, including children,
based on your desires. Desires for which there is no epidemiological
justification. If you compare the destructive policies you are
pursuing with the sensible policies of some other countries, it can
be clearly seen that the disruption to everyday life that you have
caused has only added more casualties from the virus, in addition to
the vulnerable groups already at risk from corona infection. The
economy you have destroyed, the unemployed you have created,
and the children whose education you have destroyed are additional
casualties created by your own actions alone.
There is no medical need right now, but you have been cultivating
this condition for two years out of greed for power, budget and
control. The only emergency is that you are still making policy and
allocating huge budgets to propaganda and number manipulation
instead of using that money to strengthen the health system. You
must stop this immediately!
