Firing a Shotgun at Aliens is Not Always a Good Idea
What would you do if you encountered an extraterrestrial and
you were all alone? What about if you were with your family?
Would your answer change if, in either case, you had a shotgun
in your hands? A man in Tennessee (

in trouble for firing his shotgun at space aliens. While his
situation may not have been the best time to respond to an alien
with a shotgun blast, there has been at least one other time when
it turned out well for all (well, almost all) concerned. Lets take
a look at both.
The suspect stated to me that the aliens have been relentlessly
attacking him via telepathic communication. The suspect stated
that he saw the aliens in a block storage building on the other
side of his neighbors property. The suspect told me that he ran
and got his shotgun and began shooting at the aliens.
This week (

sheriffs deputy responded to a call about a man firing a shotgun.
The Rogersville Review reports the deputy found the shooter, Jamie
Lee McGuire, who confirmed he fired the shots
at aliens of the
space kind who were telepathically communicating with him McGuire
didnt say what the aliens told him that prompted the shooting, but
he admitted to the deputy that a) he had smoked meth the previous
night, and b) he smokes meth because it helps block the telepathic
communication from aliens. This was obviously not a good time to
fire a shotgun at aliens McGuire is in Hawkins County jail on a
$5,000 bond pending a preliminary hearing.
So, when might it be a GOOD time to fire a shotgun at space aliens?
On the evening of August 21, 1955, five adults and seven children
arrived at the Hopkinsville police station claiming that small alien
creatures from a spaceship were attacking their Kelly, KY farmhouse
and they had been holding them off with gunfire for nearly four
hours. Two of the adults claimed they had been shooting at twelve
to fifteen short, dark figures who repeatedly popped up at the
doorway or peered into the windows.
This sounds like a clear-cut case of family members protecting their
loved ones from space aliens and the local police in this case
seemed to agree. In fact, a LOT of people agreed the incident was
picked up by the national media, rumored to have been investigated
by the Air Force, and considered by ufologists to be one of the most
significant and well-documented UFO and aliens cases in history. Not
wanting to let a good thing go to waste, local residents began
honoring the Kelly incident in 2005 the 50th anniversary with
an annual Kelly Little Green Men Festival in Kelly just north of
Hopkinsville. Said to be Enjoyed by aliens all over the universe!,
the festival was a quirky rural event until 2017 when it was
coincidentally in the direct path of a total eclipse and received
international (and possibly intergalactic) media coverage. The
coronavirus pandemic cancelled the 2021 event but the Kelly Little
Green Men Festival is expected to return this year.
One shotgun blast aimed at space aliens lands the shooter in jail.
Another puts a small town on the map and provides an annual boost
to the local economy.
