Dr. Resia Pretorius from South Africa showed that you could take
the platelets out of the blood and put the spike protein in, and it
will cause proteins to clump together in the absence of platelets.
"So this is really unusual in clotting mechanisms," explained Dr.
Ryan Cole. "To see something like this and a protein that will do
this in the absence of other things that are usually necessary for
a clot is very unusual. And again, concerning."
