Germany began preparations for direct war with Putin

Leading German newspaper Der Spiegel has received a confidential
strategy document that says the country's armed forces are preparing
for a potential war with Russia. The Bundeswehr released a secret
68-page document in September for internal use. The head of the
Bundeswehr, Inspector General Eberhard Zorn, warned that Germany
could be attacked and proposed plans for a future armed conflict
with Russia. The report claims that Germany faces "existential"
threats. The document begins with the statement: "War in Europe
has become a reality again." It predicts that the most likely
scenario would be a conflict with Russia on NATO's eastern flank.
