Russia plans to leave the Internet

Exercises to isolate Runet from the global network were held
in Russia, RBC reports, citing sources and materials from the
Information Security working group at the Digital Economy ANO.
The exercises, which took place from June 15 to June 15, were
attended by operators of the Big Four (MTS, Beeline, Megafon
and Tele2), as well as Rostelecom, Transtelecom and ER-Telecom
Holding ". “The possibility of physically disconnecting the
Russian part of the Internet was tested,” a source told RBC in
the telecommunications market. According to another interlocutor
of the publication, "the exercises were successful." The official
summing up is scheduled for August 31. We will remind, the
dictator of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in November
2017 demanded to develop autonomous Internet management systems
that would save the network from the "dominance" of the United
States.
