This note is in addition to the texts I have already written
about the dangers of smartphones. Huck magazine published
a study of youth who abandoned smartphones (born 1997
to 2012). Over time, those who ditched smartphones found
that their mental health had improved markedly. They began
to feel much more comfortable alone with their thoughts. The
authors note that since 2018, there has been a gradual increase
in sales of push-button mobile phones. Studies show that the
more time a person spends with a smartphone, the more likely
it is to develop anxiety and depression. Therefore, during the
pandemic, many have reconsidered their relationship with
smartphones. It is expected that more and more people will
begin to abandon social networks, remaining only chatting
with friends.
