UN plans a UFO summit
The international consortium intends to turn the UFO topic into
a part of the global discourse (

according to plan, the project, dubbed Titan, could transform
the European enclave of San Marino into a "Geneva UFO" home
to the "UN World Conference" dedicated to the study of
unidentified aerial phenomena. Behind the Titan project are two
different international organizations based in Italy, the National
UFO Center and the recently formed International Coalition for
Interplanetary Research.
CUN and ICER recently asked San Marino officials to submit a
proposal to the UN Secretary General's Office to establish a
permanent structure within the United Nations that would be
responsible for organizing a regular World conferences on UFOs".
Paolo Gizzardi, the leader of the initiative to appeal to the UN,
said that it is necessary to provide the international community
with an official platform where it would be possible to take stock
of recent studies in the field of unidentified air phenomena, if
there is any hope at all to find a clue to the UFO phenomenon.
Gizzardi and supporters of the Titan project believe San Marino
is ideal to spearhead a campaign to turn unidentified aerial
phenomena into international discourse. Now, after the organizers
of the project have presented their arguments, the authorities of
San Marino will decide whether to put forward a formal proposal
to the UN.
