1.Introduction
================
Hey , this is StarKnightX back (again) for the next chapter of the Xbox
Exhibition disk series.
What is the Exhibition Disk?
-----------------------------
A Demo Disk produced by Microsoft in the same vein as the Playstation Jampacks ,
where every so many months they produce a new volume showcasing some of the
new and upcoming big name game releases , as well as containing special
promotional videos for new games and clips from G4 TV. Each Addition Also
features bonus content such as indie music , downloadable content and more.
This volume contains 9 demos , 27 promo videos , 5 indie musical artist
samplers , and 2 free sets of downloads.
Where can I get One?
---------------------
Each Volume that is released usually shows up at most major retailers for
between $5 and $8 depending on where you purchase it. Volumes 1 and 2
seemed to be more mass produced then later ones , the newer ones tend to
only hang-around for a couple months or less after release so if your ever
interested in any of the disks and you see one in a store you may want to
grab it then just to be sure.
Also as an add in due to reader emails , I've complied a list of places
I've found the various disks at over the course of the releases. Due Note
though that of course all stores are not the same across the county , this
is just based on my findings in WPB , Florida.
------------------------------------
[Store] [Availibility]
Best Buy Very Good , found all of them there
EBX OK , seen them there occasionally
GameStop Ok , seen them there occasionally
K-Mart Bad , never seen them there
Target OK , seen them there occasionally
Toys R Us Very Good , found all of them there
Wal-Mart Bad , never seen them there
How is it comapared to the Last Disk?
----------------------------------------
Well I'd say it's an improvement to Volume 2 in almost all departments. With
at least 2 really good games (RtCW and NBA Street 2) and a bunch of good
secondary games (Apex , Brute Force). The Game package still isn't as good as
the first , but better than the last. This volume as has over twice the amount
of videos as the last time amount (which may be good or bad depending on your
view of the videos in general) , but sadly the seemed to cut back on the music
and downloadable content. There are only 5 songs on this volume of the disk ,
and they are all videos , no single songs this time , on the plus though they
finally have a bigger name group on board in the name of Queens of the Stone
Age. Finally they reduced the download content to only two games , but at
least they have a high caliber game download now with Splinter Cell.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I finally got around to finishing the basic
layout of the FAQ for Vol.3 . Plan to update it more very soon , as well
as finally finishing the guides for all the Exhibition disks.
Major Changes : Ditched the Comparison to the OXM disks , didn't seem
very helpfull in retrospect. Re-wrote the section about where you can
find the disks. The old form was only usefull if the guide got finished
and posted shortly after release and if the guide was only read soon
after it came out. Changed it to a more generic version that should be
more effective in the long-term. Also decided to add mini review snipits
to the various videos on the disk.

3.Videos
===========
Various videos of different games and things. Breif review impressions
3.1 Amped 2
Rather bland video that doesn't wow with graphics or with action even
the metal music in the video is generic. 2/5
3.2 Burnout 2 [G4 - Clip from Blister]
G4 takes a look at Burnout 2. Looks good and shows off the speed and
visuals of the game pretty well. 3/5
3.3 Conker : Live & Uncut
Looks like Conker from the 64 but pumped on steroids. Very pretty
and cool but too short. 2/5
3.4 Counter Strike
Looks good despite it's age , and fun too. 3/5
3.5 Crimson Skies : High Road to Revenge
Flashy , action packed , and movie-ish. Very good trailer , would've
been perfect if it had been a bit longer. 4/5
3.6 Enter the Matrix
This is what I'm talking about , flashy , great length , lots of action
and information on what the game is like and about. But I suppose with
it based on a movie , it would be expected for them to go all out on a
good preview. 5/5
3.7 Fable
Nice , visuals seemed kinda eh , but cool video either way. 3/5
3.8 Fable & B.C. [G4 - Clip from Pulse]
G4 talkes to Peter Molyneux about Fable and B.C. Funny hearing him
say how he stole money from his mom to boy Pong when he was a kid.
Peter is a smart and impressive man , and can really sell you on new
inventive ideas. Too bad this "interview" was too short to really hear
him talk much about either game. 2/5
3.9 G4 at E3 [Clip from Pulse]
Collection of mini interviews and game footage from Project Gotham
Racing 2 , Crimson Skies , and Grabbed by the Ghoulies. Kinda short
and kinda boring. Especially since there are better videos of all
these games on this disk already. 2/5
3.10 Get G4 TV!
Long Commercial for G4TV. I do have to say it is a good commercial
and sells me on the channel. No rating since it's just really a long
commercial , you make of it what you will. N/A
3.11 Ghoulies
Looks pretty but comes off as boring and lame. 2/5
3.12 Halo 2
The Legendary Halo 2 Video. Gives me chills every time I watch it.
Great visuals , good story set up , you need a hype machine? You
got one right here. 5/5
3.13 Halo 2 at G4 [Clip from Pulse]
In games video footage of Halo 2 from E3. Also very impressive ,
but not as cool as the Halo 2 Video. 3/5
3.14 Links 2004
Good Video for a Golf game , but the rock music dragged it down. 3/5
3.15 Midtown Madness 3
Fun video , but a little nausau inducing since the camera jerks around
too much and the scenes change too fast. 3/5
4.Music Videos

but no downloadable songs :(
