B. miscellaneous tips.

1. In Storm's challenge scinearo just concentrate on marrow.
2. Chain lighting is more useful then whirlwind in Storm's challenge.
3. Storm's challenge disk appears in one of the boxes in the nuclear facility
stages.
4. You can hold up to X*level worth of health and energy pack. You get the
bonus every 5 level.
  Level 1-9: carry 5.
  Level 10-14: carry 10.
  Level 15-19: carry 15.
  Level 20-24: carry 20.
  Level 25-29: carry 25.
  Level 30-34: carry 30.
  Level 35-39: carry 35.
  Level 40-44: carry 40.
  Level 45: carry 45.
5. One way to make a lot of money is to purposely fail combination 301 or 302 by
not doing combos. Then sell the items you do not need such as energy packs and
health pack.
6. You can get miss challenge disk from healer. The cost increases every 5
levels so it is best to get them as early as possible. One trick is to buy the
bag, see if you get a challenge disc. If yes then save it, otherwise load it.
  a.) 18000 at level 30.
  b.) 32000 at level 35.
  c.) 50000 at level 40.

8. Extraction point glitch. Well it seems that the game cancel the previous
state of what is happening and restart it as a new state. Ignore the
technicality of this but here are two examples of the use.

a. When sentinel gets their homing missles on you and your near extraction
point. Go to extraction point, change team, and change the team. This gets
rid of any homing missle on you.

b. When you fight master mold, once he turns on multiple resistance, run to
extraction point, change team, press k, and change to whoever you want. (It
can still be the same team). Master Mold's multiple resistance will be
turn off.

There are many more application of this glitch but these two are in my mind
the most useful.

A.   Danger room mode.

  King of the hill: Storm is dominated in this mode. Once you get the extreme
token, start running away and flying. While in flight mode, it is easy to avoid
attacks. Also Storm can hit people out of flight mode with Chain lighting. Also
no one survives Cyclone fury.

B.   Story mode.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1. Strength.
     a. Lots of damage with mutant power.
     b. She can solve almost any puzzles except the one on astral plane.
     c. Support for others.
       1. Leadership.
       2. shield.
  2. Weakness:
     a. Energy resistance.
     b. Requires high level of focus and energies.
     c. Totally useless in crossing bridges in astral plane.

IV. Storm's stat and skill point guide.
*******************************************************************************
A. Priority ranking.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* First is full leadership since it will help you level up faster and deal more
damage in combos.
* Second is legend lighting with at least 2 on vortex for three reasons. First
you can do combos with these. Second, you can put out fire with vortex and
clear ways when you do not want to fight, like during the USS Arbiter level.
Third, lightning helps you weld.
* Third is full flight helps you cross bridges, when you don't have bridge
builder. At level 3, you can even transport your teammate across by pressing x
when you are near them). Also against Mastermold flying to generator is faster
than running to it.
* Fourth is lightning rage since legend lighting comes out so slow, so there
will be certain situations where you might be put into position to fight, and
this adds energy damage to punches and kicks of Storm to kill non-energy
resistant enemies faster..
* Fifth is cyclone fury since it clears house and you can do super combos
with these. Also this does not depend on the amount of energy you have. It
is worth using exterme token for this move since it clears the whole room
faster than any other move in the game.
* Sixth is Mutant mastery and Toughness because it gives you 20 percent more
energy and 20 percent more life and you will be spamming energy more in late
game. Also enemies deal more damage in late game.
* Seventh is full shield because prevents up to 50 damage done to you for 36
seconds is better than blowing the enemies away which only delays the
inevitable.

Orders are interchangeable but avoid vortex in general (put anything left
over into vortex). Definitely avoid critical strike.

* Alternative build: if you want Storm to be a support characters to increase
damage for others max out whirlwind instead of chain lighting. As it is much
easier to combo off of whirlwind instead of chain lighting. Chain lighting is
suggested for advanced Storm users and whirlwind is suggested for beginner.
This is also called "supportive Storm" build.

B. Mutant abilities chart
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lightning strike (4 points), chain lighting (6 points), legend lighting
(2 points): 12 pts.
       1. It can go through wall.
       2. Weld: Needed for USS arbiter mission and nuclear plant facility
       where you need to weld the leaks.
       3. Destruction.
       4. Its sort of homing, once you hit one target, it automatically link
       itself to 5 other targets on the screen.
       5. Has short range and 1.5 seconds startup frame.
Whirlwind (6 points), tornado (6 points), legend vortex (2 points): 5 to 6
   pts.
   Feature.
       1. Can lift heavy object at high level. Cough, cough, cars and
       sentinels.
       2. Knock back.
       3. Similar to Jean grey's telekinesis.
       4. Has 0.5 seconds startup frame.
       5. Very easy to combo off of. Recommended for user with horrible
       "skills".
       6. Needed to move the clamps in the nuclear plant.
       7. It does more damage to 2 to 3 targets then to 5 gurantee target
       which makes it inferior to Legend Lighting.
Storm shield (4 points), hail shield (4 points), blizzard shield (4 points):
12 pts.
   Feature.
       1. -50 damage done.
       2. -25-31 touch damage. (Allows Storm to do touch damage, this move is
       affected by ultra power enhancer).
       3. last 36 seconds when the tree is full.
   Starting level: 5
Cyclone fury (2 points): 2 pts.
   Feature.
       1. A better whirlwind or a super whirlwind.
       2. Clears the entire screen.
       3. Super Combos.
       4. Does not depend on the amount of energy you have, instead it
       uses tokens.
   Starting level 15.
Toughness (3 points): 3 pts.
   Feature.
       1. More hit point.
       2. +5%, +10%, +20% hp per block.
   Starting level 10.
Mutant mastery (3 points): 3 pts.
   Feature.
       1. More energy point.
       2. +5%, +10%, +20% energy point per block.
   Starting level 10.
Flight (5 points): 5 pts.
   Feature.
       1. Cross bridges not in astral plane.
       2. Transfer people across bridges (requires level 3).
       3. Makes getting danger room disc in nuclear plant facility much easier.
Leadership (5 points): 5 pts.
    Feature.
       1. Combo damage bonus. --> kill people faster.
           a. +25 percent damage.
           b. +50 percent damage.
           c. +75 percent damage.
           d. +100 percent damage.
           e. +150 percent damage.
       2. Combo exp bonus. --> level up faster.
           a. +2.5 percent exp.
           b. +4 percent exp.
           c. +7.5 percent exp.

    Starting level 4.
Lightning fury (3 points), lighting rage (3 points): 6 pts.
    Feature.
       1. Energy damage to melee fighting.
       2. The range of the punch and kick actually extends with each level.
       3. The damage is effected by ultra power enhancer but I have no idea if
       it is effected by Goddess medallion.
Critical Strike (5 points): 0 pts.
    Feature
       1. Increase chances of getting triple damage for physical attack.
       2. +2%, +4%, +6%, +8%, +10% chance of critical

C. Skill points.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+8 on body (15%).
+9 on agility (17%).
+36 on focus (68%).

Storm's comic is found in the east trunkline level when you first visit the
Morlocks. You can obtain it yourself by flying there. However, it is much
easier to obtain the comic with Iceman, Magma or Jean grey because they can
make bridges. Storm's comic gives Storm +4 focus, something you will be needing
a lot to make her "highly" effective.

D. Equipping.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Backpack: Goddess Medallion (+20 percent lighting and wind damage, +5 agility).
You can replace Goddess Medallion with ultra power enhancer (+125 to 150 damage
for mutant power attack). This also adds damage to her melee attack if you
unlock lighting fury and touch damage if you unlock blizzard shield.

At level 30 to 35 use Goddess Medallion, at level 40 or above use ultra power
enhancer.

Belt: Ultra focus enhancer (+8 focus).
Body: Ultra nanofiber armor (-13 damage taken).


Now here are Storm stats after she equips unique or Ultra power enhancer and
comics. This does not mutant mastery or toughness.

+9 to 14 on agility = 9 * (1 defense) + level (45) * 1 =  +54 defense to
                     14 * (1 defense) + level (45) * 1 = +59 defense.
+8 on body = 8 * (10 hit point) + level (45) * 5 + 25 = +330 hit point.
+48 on focus = 4 * level (45) + 7 * (48) + 30 = 546 energy point with addtional
              (0.48 * 546)/10 or 26.2 energy point regenerated per second.

Final stats with full mutant mastery and toughness.
+45 attack or +0 strike.
+63 to +68 defense. or +18 to 23 agility.
+396 hit point or +8 body.
+730 energy point with +41.6 energy point regenerated per second or +57 focus.


Storm's Legend lighting does 250 to 310 damage. Multiply it by 1.2 and it does
300 to 372 points of damage with unique. That is a lot if you ask me, and +5
agility to her stats doesn't hurt. The damage you do sort of makes up the energy
regeneration. This is why I opt not to have Ultra DNA Generator. Mask of Xorn on
the other hand is a different story.

* Storm with Ultra power enhancer does 375 to 460 point of damage per lighting.

E. General Strategy.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Storm can hide behind walls and kill energy resistance people before they
even enter the door since her legend lighting is sort of "homing".
* Hit 1 target and you hit 5.
* Remember she has Lighting fury so that she can fight if the case ever comes
up.
* For Storm, a chain lighting can kill about 5 non-energy resistant people.
* She could spend 3 seconds killing five enemies or she could try to fight them
and spend 30 to 35 seconds. This puts herself in a dangerous position. Take
your pick. If you want the best scenario which one would you choose?
* In the sentinel factory level you can destroy energy sucking generator across
the room before you enter it with legend lighting.
* There is a trick you can do with storm against Sentinel Controller, fly up
to their head level, and kick them on the head a few time and fly around them
and kick them on the head a few time in the back. This is best way to destroy
sentinel without using energy.
* Fast fly trick. Apparently you can fly without wasting energy. What you do
is while in fly mode, press B to her dive attack, now just before she starts
her dive, hold the jump button.
* Use whirlwind to throw bombs at enemies. Instead of throwing them which can
risk explosion. If you made a "supportive Storm", you can whirlwind cars at
Sentinels for fun in NYC riot stage.
* although chain lighting is better overall, it is much easier to do combos
with whirlwind. You have at least more than 2 seconds to react to characters
being lifted up.
* Do not be afraid to use her Cyclone fury on bosses. Combo that with
nightcrawler's blindside blitz for some "real action" or Cyclops' optic rage.
Also you want to use your extereme before the boss decides to do their exterme
using YOUR hard earned extereme tokens.

V. Flight mode: How to use?

   Start flying: press Jump twice real fast.
   While in flight mode.
       1.Landing.
         A. Dive attack: Press hard attack while flying.
            1. Holding the jump button will extend the range.
            2. Holding the throw button will decrease the range.
         B. Manual landing: Press and hold the throw buttons.
       2. Increase flight distance while landing: Press and hold jump button.
       3. Picking up people: Press the throw button while your near and
ABOVE them. (requires level 3 flight).
          A. Drop them off and still be flying: Press hard attack while
flying.
          B. Manual landing: Press and hold throw buttons. Both of you land.
          C. Fling them: Press weak attack while flying.

VI. Good partners for Storm.

       1. What is good about them?
               a. Double leadership means anything goes down within 45 seconds
               max. Even Mastermold went down in that amount of time.
               b. Shield + Command.
               c. Sentinel killers.
       2. Sample Combos.
               a. Optic Surge or Electric Beam.
                 1. Damage effectiveness: 10.
                 2. Difficulty in landing: 8.
                 3. # of Target: 1-3
                 4. How? Storm should do lightning
                 first. Now while you see the hand coming down, look carefully
                 at the screen to see where the spark is coming down. You can
                 see the lightning before it comes down, now immediately face
                 that character and do an optic blast. Luckily Storm's
                 lightning has enough stun box that you can react to it. It
                 requires fast reaction.
               b. Electric Shockwave or Immobilizing Surge.
                 1. Damage effectiveness: 8.
                 2. Difficulty in landing: 5.
                 3. # of Target: 1.
                 4. How? Storm should do lightning
                 first. Now while you see the hand coming down, look carefully
                 at the screen to see where the spark is coming down. You can
                 see the lightning before it comes down, now immediately face
                 that character and do an optic blast. Luckily Storm's

    B. Jean Grey:
       1. What is good about them?
               a. -100 damage with both shield on stack.
               b. Clear rooms before you even walk in it. Storm for Mental
               resistant and Jean grey before going in there.
               c. You can solve all the puzzles in this game together.
       2. Combos.
               a. Electric Scream or Shrieking Surge.
                 1. Damage effectiveness: 7.
                 2. Difficulty in landing: 3.
                 3. # of Target: 1 to 5.
                 4. How? Well just spam both Lightning and shout. Your bound
                 to hit it. Especially if you have psychic shout level all the
                 way up. If you have difficulty in doing it, have Storm do her
                 lightning first, and when her hand comes down, immediately do
                 Jean Grey's psychic shout.
               b. Electric Kinetics or Lifting Surge.
                 1. Damage effectiveness: 6.
                 2. Difficulty in landing: 5.
                 3. # of Target: 1.
                 4. How? Have Jean Grey do her telekinesis first, and
                 immediately afterward, have storm do her lightning. Do the
                 lightning as fast as you could as it has startup lag.
    C. Gambit:
       1. What is good about them?
          a. They complement each other.
          b. With full Lighting Fury and Gambit's Kinetic Mastery Storm can
             become a powerful melee character. If she wasn't a powerful keep
             away character already.
          c. Overloading whirlwind.
       2. Combos.
               a. Electric Slam or Charged Surge.
                 1. Damage effectiveness: 7.
                 2. Difficulty in landing: 6.
                 3. # of target: 1 to 5.
                 4. How? Have Storm do her chain lighting first, then follow
                 by Gambit's staff.
               b. Overloading whirlwind.
                 1. Damage effectiveness: 4.
                 2. Difficulty in landing: 4.
                 3. # of target: 1
                 4. How? Go next to a small object like a trash can and charge
                 it. Immdeiately have Storm whirlwind the object to the
                 enemies. Now why doesn't Gambit pick up the object and throw
                 it himself? The answer is simple, why risk the chance of
                 Gambit hurting himself with his own homemade grenade.

VII. Leadership
*******************************************************************************
*  Most people I talk to, at least my friends, do not know that leadership
applies to ANY combos done while Cyclops or Storm is on the team. Example, if
Cyclops or Storm is alive and is active member of the team, you can do
Claw Furry + Staff Slam combo and you will get the damage bonus. Also the
damage stacks up but the experience does not! Leadership bonus do not apply to
batter up combo. So level 5 leadership does 6 times the amount of combine
damage and 12.5 percent extra experience.
