My goal is to try and make this guide as easy for you to read and use, and as
helpful as possible, if you can think of anything that would help this guide
fulfill that goal, then send it to me at Happybuddha311(at)Aol(dot)com. Make
sure you include two things in the subject line "Your Unreal Championship FAQ"
and what site you are reading the guide from. That way I can tell that it isn't
spam, and if you ask a question already found in the guide that either the host
hasn't updated or you're a lazy, stupid pile.
If you are a webmaster looking to host this guide, don't. The only two sites
that are allowed to have this guide are Gamefaqs.com and Ign.com. If you are
reading this guide anywhere else, please inform me, so the parties involved can
be dealt with in a courtroom setting.

5) About the Author
In this section, which is really the only section of the guide, I'll tell you
about each of the guns and "Weapons" in the game Unreal Championship. I'll give
you some info and ratings (all are out of 5 stars) on them, then the best ways
to use them. Let's get started shall we?
Real Name: Kemphler DD280 Riot Control Device
Primary Fire: Shield
Secondary Fire: Plasma Wave
Rate of Fire (Primary): N/A
Rate of Fire (Secondary): **
Damage done in primary fire: N/A
Damage done in Secondary fire: 1/2 of a * (that may be over exaggerating)
Affinities:(not like they'll help this piece of Sh!t weapon)
Ammo: starting and max at 200
Damage: N/A
Fire rate: N/A
The Shield gun is simple a POS. It doesn't do a very good job of blocking
anything and it really doesn't do any damage. I think snapping a rubber band
would do more damage to the opponent than this.
The best use of this weapon is in a Close quarters setting, with your opponent
having either no ammo for his good guns, or if he had his pull-away cord yanked
out by his cat. A good strategy for this weapon is sneak in close to your
opponent then use the "Hey look over there" trick then yank out his cord and
Pummel him while he jumps to replace the cord. Seriously.
Real Name: AR770
Primary Fire: Rapid Fire
Secondary Fire: Frag Grenades
Rate of Fire (Primary): ***
Rate of Fire (Secondary): *
Damage done in primary fire: *
Damage done in Secondary fire: ***
Affinities:
Ammo: 160 bullets and 8 grenades to start and 320 bullets and 16 grenades max
Damage: Much higher
Fire Rate: Higher than usual
The assault rifle is one of the three weapons you start with. It works well
against lightweight fast species, but not so well against a juggernaut, unless
of course that juggernaut happens to only have a shield gun.
The best use for this gun is in for Domination mode. It works well to throw in
a grenade and wait till it explodes then while the enemy is still in shock run
in and frag the sucker with the primary fire (make sure you capture the point
first). Another good use for this gun is in Bombing run, when the enemy is
alone running the bomb, you can stand behind him and shoot him, as to not waste
the ammo for your good guns in case two juggernauts with rocket launchers show
up.
Real Name: Schultz-Metzger T23-A 23mm rotary cannon
Primary Fire: Rapid Fire
Secondary Fire: Rapid fire with more damage
Rate of Fire (Primary): *****
Rate of Fire (Secondary): ****
Damage done in primary fire: **
Damage done in Secondary fire: ***
Affinities:
Ammo: start with 200 bullets, 500 max load
Damage: Slightly higher
Fire Rate: Not very noticeable, but it's there
The Mini gun is the cliche "Spray and Pray" weapons of Unreal Championship.
Weapons like this you walk in to a room full of enemies and you let loose with a
barrage of bullets and hope you hit something. Because if you don't, you better
strap on your running shoes because you're going to have a room full of pissed
off opponents after you.
The best way to use the mini-gun is in a crowded or tight room, however it, like
most Spray and pray guns, has a wind up time of a second or so to get going. So
make sure you hold the fire button for a split second before entering the room
to achieve optimal efficiency with it.
Real Name: MK3 "Negotiator" Flechette Cannon
Primary Fire: Flechette Barrage
Secondary Fire: Flak grenade
Rate of Fire (Primary): **
Rate of Fire (Secondary): *
Damage done in primary fire: ****
Damage done in Secondary fire: ***
Affinities:
Ammo: 30 to start, 100 max load
Damage: One hit kills
Fire Rate: add another * or 2 to the above rating
The Flak cannon is called the Negotiator because it's just that, a room-clearing
weapon. Throw in a flak grenade or two, then follow up with a few burst from
your primary fire. If used correctly, this is the best room-clearing weapon of
the game. Another great thing about this weapon is in primary firing mode, the
barrage will bounce, so if your opponent is against a wall and you miss, the
barrage will bounce off the wall and have a chance of hitting him.
The best use, as said earlier was as a room clearing device. With the flechette
grenades and the ability to bounce the flechettes off the walls, you never even
have to see your enemy to frag him. This weapon seems to be have been designed
for optimal use in Domination mode.
Real Name: High-power energy weapon
Primary Fire: Single shot burst
Secondary Fire: Zoom and fire
Rate of Fire (Primary): *
Rate of Fire (Secondary): *
Damage done in primary fire: ****
Damage done in Secondary fire: ****
Affinities:
Ammo: 24 to Start, Max of 60
This is the only sniper weapon in the game. To me, it's pretty cheesy as a kill
can be acquired rather quickly with this gun that seems to hone in on it's
enemies while the charge is in mid-flight. It's almost as cheesy as the Far
sight from perfect dark, but it can't see and shoot through walls so it come
close.
This weapon is good for any range of combat but it excels in long range, where
you can zoom and fire, and have your opponent not really know where you are or
where to shoot. You can also use it as a good support weapon, because of it's
slow rate of fire, it isn't recommended you use this to clear a room by yourself
with it.
Real Name: Trident Tri-barrel Rocket Launcher
Primary Fire: Single Rocket
Secondary Fire: Dual / Tri Warhead launch (hold until desired amount loaded and
release)
Rate of Fire (Primary): *
Rate of Fire (Secondary): *
Damage done in primary fire: ***
Damage done in Secondary fire: *****
Affinities:
Ammo: 24 to start, 96 max load
Damage: One hit kills with a single rocket
Fire Rate: This makes this thing super cheesy to use.
This weapon is a rather big innovation among FPS Rocket Launchers, the rockets
damage was toned down a little, but loading three rockets and hitting all of
them is likely to kill your opponent.
The best use for the rocket launcher is to stop an onslaught of juggernauts, a
tri launch will be enough to kill the juggernaut if all the rockets hit. This
weapon can also be handled well in a wide open area, as if you keep your hairs
close to the enemy the launcher will "lock - on" allowing for a tracking missile
of sorts.
Real Name: ASMD Shock Rifle
Primary Fire: Small fast shots
Secondary Fire: Big Slow Shots
Combo Fire: Plasma Ball (Fire the secondary shot, then when the ball is in
range, fire the primary to cause an explosion)
Rate of Fire (Primary): ****
Rate of Fire (Secondary): **
Rate of Fire (Combo): *
Damage done in primary fire: *
Damage done in Secondary fire: **
Damage done in Combo Fire: *** - **** depending on range of the plasma ball.
Affinities:
Ammo: 40 to start, 100 max carrying
Damage: Noticeably higher
Fire Rate: Much Higher, especially the combo
The Shock rifle is an interesting weapon, it basically is a well-rounded weapon.
You can use the secondary fire at close range to ensure a good hit, the primary
against any range of fighting, and the combo for room clearing.
The best use for this weapon, is well anything, the only thing this weapon can't
do is snipe, and if you were skilled enough, it could do that too.
Real Name: Variable Altitude Phased Output Remote Weapons Platform (VAPOR WeP)
Primary Fire: Paint target
Secondary Fire: Zoom and Paint target
Rate of Fire (Primary): *
Rate of Fire (Secondary): *
Damage done in primary fire: N/A
Damage done in Secondary fire: N/A
Damage done by the Ion Cannon: **************
Affinities: N/A
This gun will destroy anything Period. Basically what you do is aim and pull
the trigger wait a few seconds, then the Ion cannon rains down fiery goodness.
One good thing to do is run like hell if you are close to where the blast will
happen.
The best way to use this weapon is to pull the trigger and tell your opponent to
kiss his ass goodbye because he isn't dodging this one. The best way to use
this is when there is heavy defense and camping going on, campers suck, and this
is the ultimate Anti-camper weapon.
Real Name: Translocator
Primary Fire: Fires a Disc, Camera of Disc, Destroy Disc
Secondary Fire: Teleport to disc location
Rate of Fire (Primary): N/A
Rate of Fire (Secondary): N/A
Damage done in primary fire: N/A
Damage done in Secondary fire: N/A
Affinities: N/A
The Translocator is a pretty lame weapon, beyond getting out/into a hot spot
quickly, this weapon is more or less useless. I don't use them at all, but they
have their uses. Sadly you can't use this to run the flags as the flags won't
go through.
The best use for the translocator is to get into some high areas to snipe and
camp for oncoming enemies. Another good tactic to use this for is to launch the
disc and keep running past it from your enemies, then use it to turn the tables
and get behind them.
Real Name: Ball launcher
Primary Fire: Fires Ball
Secondary Fire: Lock on for passing with the primary feature
Rate of Fire (Primary): *
Rate of Fire (Secondary): N/A
Damage done in primary fire: N/A
Damage done in Secondary fire: N/A
Affinities: N/A
This, like the shield gun, is one of the few non-weapon items in the game.
Basically it's used for bombing run. I don't recommend you ever fire the ball
though, unless you know for a fact you won't make it into the portal, because
your team mates can never seem to score, and running the ball through is worth
more than 2 times as much points.
The best use for this weapon is to launch the ball up in an arc, then use a high
damage gun to kill all of the people trying to stop you while running towards
the ball, pick up the ball and keep on running.
Real Name: BioRifle
Primary Fire: Single fire sludge attack
Secondary Fire: Chargable Sludge bomb
Rate of Fire (Primary): ****
Rate of Fire (Secondary): *-*** depending on charge
Damage done in primary fire: *
Damage done in Secondary fire: **-**** depending on charge
Affinities: Higher Rate of fire
This weapon, In my opinion, is as good as the shield gun, useless. The fact
that you start with the gun should prove that point. If it really was a good
gun, they'd make you search for it.
The best way to use this gun is to cover a choke point with the sludge and laugh
as your enemies try to get you. This is a pretty cowardly tactic and shouldn't
be used by the worst of the worst players. The secondary fire is good for
running, dodging and charging, then turning for a quick surprise that will
surely cripple your opponent.
Real Name: The Link
Primary Fire: Rapid pulse laser beams
Secondary Fire: Constant steam/ Support beam
Rate of Fire (Primary): ****
Rate of Fire (Secondary): *****
Damage done in primary fire: *
Damage done in Secondary fire: *
Affinities:
Ammo: 80 start, 240 max
Damage: Raises the damage power a little
Fire rate: higher in primary fire
This weapon is interesting, but extremely useful, while it's a pretty weak stand
alone weapon, you can follow one of your team mates and use the secondary fire
to "support" him. Basically it will increase his attacks against the enemy he
is firing at.
The best use for this weapon is following an ally around and using the secondary
fire option when he is in a firefight. Don't get too obsessed with it, as you
could be of more help with a rocket launcher in an out-numbered fight.
Hello, thank you for reading this guide. If you cared enough
to read this far, I might as well entertain you. I'm a 16 year old Virgo and I
will be a senior (when the school year starts again) at Millard North High
School. In my free time I am either on the Gamefaqs message boards (Current
events, The FAQ contributor Social Board, or the punk board), or playing my
Xbox, Ps2, or my NES. With whatever time is left, I sell tacos in a little shack
by the side of the road for little more than minimum wage (I recently got a
Raise now I make $6 an hour! WOOO), which is slowly taking over my life with
it's "OMG WE GIVE j00 more hours than j00 wantz0rz Benny FWARG!" attitude. Then
I use my time machine to travel back in time, and fit playing hockey into my
schedule. This will be my fourth FAQ/Walkthrough, and I feel that writing
walkthroughs has really given me something better to do than watch some of the
crap on television now days.
