-= VERSION NOTES =-

Version 1.02 (Written on January 6, 2003)
The codes section has been updated after a few readers sent word that they
weren't getting the codes to work.

Version 1.01 (Written on January 1, 2003, evening)

Codes updated to reflect the codes given by GameWinners.com.  Also, I did
some formatting and minor updating to make it feasible for public use at
GameFaqs.

Version 1.0 (Written on January 1, 2003)

With the Xbox version finally in stores, I was now able to translate the
PS2 controls listed in the Prima Guide into its corresponding Xbox
controls.  Should be very helpful.  Also, I've added on some of the special
stuff listed from the hintbook.

-= WRITER'S NOTE =-

I am not affiliated with Prima, EA Games, or anyone else.   I decided to
write this "supplement" to Prima's hintbook to help those playing the Xbox
version of the game.  I think this will be helpful for those who can't
translate the PS2 controls as quickly as I can.  Also, I find that this
game gives the most enjoyment if you have watched both "The Fellowship of
the Ring" and "The Two Towers" movies, as of course, the game's levels
relives most of the Fellowship's epic battles as well as feature some
scenes from the two movies.

This document is intended only to help those with the Xbox version of the
game, and is primarily a translation of the PS2 controls from Prima's
Official Strategy Guide to the game.  I would still recommend getting
Prima's Strategy Guide if you need any help getting through some of the
missions.

-= 1. INTRODUCTION =-

"One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring
them all, and in the darkness bind them...In the Land of Mordor, where
Shadows lie."

Ah, the famous words of The Lord of the Rings.  If you're reading this,
then either you love this marvelous trilogy, or you love a great Xbox game,
or even both.  After weeks of waiting after its PS2 release, the Two Towers
game has finally arrived for the Xbox, and just in time for the new year.

In case you haven't noticed already, you'll be able to command three of the
great heroes of the Fellowship of the Ring (initially): Aragorn (a.k.a.
Strider the Ranger), Legolas the Elf (my favorite character), and Gimli the
Dwarf.  Finish the game and you'll get a small taste of "The Return of the
King."  Clear one secret level with any of the three, and you'll unlock
Islidur, the one who severed the fingers of Sauron, severing the Dark Lord
of the One Ring 3000 years ago.

In the campaign, you'll be able to relive some of the great battles from
the first two movies, including a prologue based on the prologue to the
first part of the trilogy.  As I have stated in my notes, you'll get the
best enjoyment out of these missions if you have seen the two movies
already.

-= 6. A WORD OF THANKS =-

Special thanks to Prima Games for making such a wonderful strategy guide.
All we Xbox gamers have to do is convert the PS2 controls into its
corresponding Xbox controls.  To EA Games and Stormfront Studios for making
such a great movie-to-game conversion.

Two very special thanks to make.  First to New Line Cinema and Wingnut
Films for producing such a phenomenal motion picture trilogy.  Can't wait
to see "The Return of the King" later this year.  Last, but definently, not
the very least, is the late J. R. R. Tolkien for writing such a phenomenal
book--fantasy literature at its finest.  May his legacy live on until
time's end.

That's all for now, ladies and gentlemen of all races.  Best of luck in
Middle-Earth, and good hunting.
