Sudeki Merchant and Weapons Guide

Version 1.0

Sudeki is copyright Climax, and published by Microsoft.

This is a small guide to items in Sudeki, with the expressed intent of
maximizing your profit.  Selling valuable items to the right individual
can get you a lot of money, which may be used in improving your armor
and weapons, as well as your life in general.

Contents:
1) Merchant buying list
2) Merchant selling list
3) Weapons and locations

1) Merchant Buying List

What follows is a listing of all valubles in Sudeki, along with selling
prices for merchants.  Valuables are items dropped by enemies that can
be sold for profit.  Some merchants give more money for certain items,
for instance, Jurgen likes Furs.  Going to the correct merchant can get
you a lot of money.  The list is divided into four, with Jurgen,
Hambos, Matrik, and Olaf giving the best prices in a group, respectively.

Merchants:

Kamo (K) is the cheapskate duck who can be found most anywhere.  He has
the poorest prices of any merchant, however he is the only individual
to whom you can sell potions and similar items.

Jurgen (J) is outside of Brightwater, and is the best person to sell
furs to.

Hambos (H) is in the Illumina countryside, and pays well for scales.

Matrik (M) is hidden near Shadani-Mo and pays well for gems.

Letchko (L) is on the Road to Transentia and has no preffered item for
selling, but pays a bit more than everyone else.

Olaf (O) is outside of Crystal Reef and pays well for some high level
items.

Finally, Ferryman Pitt will pay 50 florins per soul shard after you
give him 100.

Quest Notes- these are quests that I have found that require a set
number of valuables.  All quests will give you a small amount of
experience when successfully completed, and as such, are usually
worth doing.  I have compiled this list because of my experiences
when finding a new quest followed by the immediate realization
that I just sold off all of the desired items.  Quests Denoted
with a * have multiple parts.
Woluf Pelts: Ricardo, a tailor who is located in Illumina Castle
nearby queen Lucia, will pay you 1000 florins for 5 Woluf pelts.
Woluf pelts are obtained from Wolufs.
Gnat Stingers: One of the fishermen of Brightwater will pay you 750
florins for getting him 5 of these to use as fishing hooks, after you
have retrieved his item from the beach.  Gnat stingers are earned from
gnats, which usually fight with crabs or scarecrows.
Glue Spider Duct: A potion maker in Shadani-Mo wants 5 ducts to make
potions.  Doing so will get you some potions (Luster brews?).  Glue
spiders can be found in the temple.
Arconite Skulls:In Shadani-Mo, in a tent, Mafu, a warrior, will want
proof that the arconites can be killed.  Bringing him 5 skulls will net
you 1000 florins.Arconites are found in the temple, and in a lot of
outdoor encounters.
*Brightwater Pearls: In Bright water, the small shadani child will
ask you to prove yourself by getting 21 brightwater pearls (as sets of
1, 5, 5, and 10).  Doing so will get you the key to his tent which in
turn gets you a cat totem.  Brightwater pearls can be won from crabs,
and from Illumina troops (late in the game), and by playing the
sheep herding game.
Cyantine Eyes: Arlo, Tal's dad, wants 3 cyantine eyes to give to
his troops to improve morale.  Doing so gets you the key to his
apartment which in turn will give you access to a chest with an
Orb of Sanctuary (+25 HP).  Cyantine eyes are rare drops occasionally
recovered by the death of high level enemies.  They are also infrequent
treasure rewards, and, like all valuables, may be foundin crates or
jars.  Do not sell any you find, as they are rare and you may miss
out on this quest if you do sell them.
*Shadowstone: Campo, the artist in Shadani Mo wants 21 total
shadowstones for his carving.  Doing so will get Tal a new weapon,
Argath.  Shadowstones are dropped by Arconites.
*Omnium: Lupa, in Transentia, wants some Omnium to power her
machinery.  Get her 21 pieces for a key that allows you to get
another totem.  Omnium is frequently dropped by robots.
*Eden Corals: Finbar, in Crystal Reef will give you this quest
after killing the Siren.  Give him 10 to get a lot of florins
and a gold bar.  Eden Corals can be earned from the fish warriors
in the Siren's cave.
Huge Gold Bars: The most financially valuable item in the game
can be obtainedfour times.  Once, from destroying the strong robot
with Tal in Transentia, the other three times are in Crystal Reef.
One is in the Siren cave and must be found with Ailish, the other
is a reward from Mewsley in his storeroom (requires Ailish to
dispel door), and a final one from Finbar.  Note that these last
three may be too late for a typical playthrough.

On average, you will get well over twice as much money for your
items if you sell to a specialized, favored merchant as opposed
to Kamo.  On average, you'll receive 20% more for every item
sold to a specialized merchant versus Kamo (though Letchko
will give you ~40% more).  The game is planned to maximize
your money as well, as you can sell items that you obtain from
enemies to nearby merchants at maximum profit, i.e. enemies
who drop shadowstones are close by to Matrik, those who drop
Eden Corals are near Olaf, etc.

2) Merchant selling prices:

Kamo has by far and away the largest selection of potions and other means
of healing.  However, the other merchants do each have some small
useful items in stock, if you care to look.

Mechant initials are as before, with P standing for Ferryman Pitt.

You are limited in the number of each item you can carry.  The more
powerful an item is, the fewer you can carry of it.

3)  Weapon Guide and locations

The following is a summary of the weapons available in the game for
the four main characters, Tal, Buki, Ailish, and Elco.  Their
counterparts in the realm of Akloria also have powerful weapons,
but these can not be equipped by the others, so I have excluded
them in this compilation.  There are two types of rune slots
available for each weapon- square and circle.  Weapons with circle
rune slots can equip much more powerful runes; this should be
considered before equipping your party.  Str is the strength of
the weapon, and determines the average damage a weapon does
when it hits an enemy.  Crit% is the percent chance you'll
receive a critical hit, which does double damage.  Runes are the
number of square (Q) or Circle (C) runes available for enchantment.
Spec is the special ability of a weapon.  Where obtained states
the location and/or quest necessary for obtaining the weapon.
For missile weapons, FR is the fire rate- the speed with which
you can get shots off.  Slower weapons almost always do more
damage per hit, but allow for fewer hits.

Typically the most powerful weapon of each bunch is the Ultimate weapon,
especially when enchanted with runes.  However, Ailish and Elco may both
find it advantageous to switch to a slow but powerful weapon at times,
as the knockback effect is very useful.
