1. Intro
Hello (YOUR NAME HERE) and welcome to my FAQ for Star Wars Battlefront II. I
made and FAQ for the first game and wanted to make a new one. I will not be
accepting contributions to my Battlefront I guide, I am finished with it. Okay
Im probably boring you so.........lets get to the guide.
===============================================================================
2. Gameplay Basics
This game plays basically the same as the original. You have a set amount of
reinforcements; you capture command posts, kill the enemy, switch soldiers if
you die blah, blah, blah. Lets get to the new stuff. First, new classes! You
have a support class (some call it the commander class, but I don't think so.)
You also have the marine class. Now, the pilot and marine are only available in
space, on the ground you have engineers.
Space Battles! Awesome! Well, kinda. First, the good. Well, its fun. There is
nothing like bombing the crap out of an enemy cruiser. You can also invade
enemy ships and destroy them from the inside out. Now, for the bad stuff.
First, I don't think the ships handle very well. Also, if you really know what
your doing, they are over in like 5 minutes. But still a very good addition to
the game.
Next, new planets. Mustafar, Mygeeto, Felucia, Coruscant, etc., etc. They are
really cool and stuff. You also have new vehicles at your disposal. Some have
been redone and others have been replaced. Missions now have objectives to
complete. You can play as jedi and non-jedi heroes (for a limited amount of
time.) Some maps have been redone, but only a little.
And what to top it off with, than a story (gasp.) Seriously. You play as a
group of clones known as the 501st Legion. As the empire expands they become
Vader's Fist.

At the top center of the screen is the target indicator. It gives the name and
current health of any unit you target. Enemies are red, allies are blue, and
inanimate objects are white. The numbers below that are reinforcement
indicators. They tell how many reinforcements you or your enemy has left. To
the right of that is your radar. It tells what stuff is all around you. In the
center of the screen is your crosshair. It will turn color depending on what
you are looking at. The three triangles are the objective indicator. They
indicate where your current objective is (hence the name.)
At the bottom left-hand corner you have your stamina meter. Sprinting, jumping,
and rolling all deplete stamina, but it recharges over time. Above that is your
health meter. This is a no-brainer. Above your health is your primary weapons
status. It tells how much ammo you have left. And above that is your secondary
weapon status. Its just like the primary ammo, only secondary.
===============================================================================
5. Republic
Actually, you get the 501st Legion. But its easier to type Republic.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5b. Republic Units
Clone Trooper
Class: Infantryman
Primary Weapons: Blaster Rifle, Blaster Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonators
Usefulness: 8/10
Clone Troopers are good for taking out infantry and weak armor. Most powerful
in groups.
Heavy Trooper
Class: Assault
Primary Weapons: Rocket Launcher, Blaster Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonators, Mines
Usefulness: 7/10
Heavy Troopers are best against armor. But HORRIBLE against infantry unless you
have the Precision Pistol. Mines are good for slowing enemy advances.
Clone Sharpshooter
Class: Sniper
Primary Weapons: Sniper Rifle, Blaster Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonators, Auto-Turret
Usefulness: 7/10
Dude, whats with the helmet? Best used against far-away infantry. Auto-Turrets
are good to make sure no one sneaks up on you.
Clone Engineer
Class: Engineer (hence the name)
Primary Weapons: Shotgun, Fusion Cutter
Secondary Weapons: Detpacks, Supply Dispenser
Usefulness: 8/10
Slicing is fun! Stand near an enemy vehicle and pull out the fusion cutter.
Then hold R1, it will say "Slicing #%" when it reaches 100% the vehicle is
disabled and the crew has to bail out.
Clone Commander
Class: Support
Primary Weapons: Chain Gun, Blaster Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Rally, Recon Droid
Usefulness: 8/10
Rally increases your allies' defense. The Chain Gun is useful for killing
heroes, but takes a while to warm up.
Jet Trooper
Class: Special
Primary Weapons: EMP Launcher, Commando Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonators
Usefulness: 5/10
The more you play as them, the better you will be with them. The EMP launcher
is powerful (but no shockwave effect like rockets.) Don't run around your
enemies, go over them!
Clone Pilot (Space Only)
Class: Pilot
Primary Weapons: Commando Pistol, Fusion Cutter
Secondary Weapons: Time Bombs
Usefulness: 8/10
Theyre actually pretty cool. The time bombs are powerful, and they recharge the
health of all ships they pilot.
Clone Marine
Class: Marine
Primary Weapons: Blaster Rifle, Rocket Launcher
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonators
Usefulness: 7/10
Good and Bad. Theyre more powerful than pilots, but cant heal their ships. They
look like clone troopers.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5c. Vehicles
BARC Speeder Bike
Class: Scout Vehicle
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Wimpy
Speed: Really Fast
Critical Area; the Pilot
Fast and weak. Nothing more, nothing less. Can also "jump" when moving.
TX-130S Fighter Tank
Class: Medium Assault Vehicle
Positions: 2: Pilot, Gunner
Firepower: Moderate
Speed: Weak
Critical Area: Circle Behind the Cockpit
All around good craft. Good against infantry and armor.
AT-RT (All-Terrain Recon Transport)
Class: Medium Assault Vehicle
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Moderate-Weak
Speed: Moderate-Fast
Critical Area: Cylinder Between the Legs OR the Pilot
A pretty good anti-infantry craft. Decent against armor.
AT-TE (All Terrain Tactical Enforcer)
Class: Heavy Assault Transport
Positions: 3: Pilot, Co-Pilot, Gunner
Firepower: Devastating
Speed: Really Slow
Critical Area: Boxy-Thing Under the Walker
This thing is something to be scared about. Infantry or armor, take cover!
Serves as a mobile command post.
Jedi Starfighter
Class: Interceptor
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Moderate
Speed: Really, really Fast
Fast vehicle. Theyre good for fighting around your cruiser, not the enemy's.
ARC-170 Starfighter
Class: Fighter
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Strong
Speed: Really Fast
Should have actually 3 positions: pilot, main gunner, and rear gunner. I use
these bad boys a lot.
V-Wing Starfighter
Class: Bomber
Firepower: Devastating
Speed: Fast
I use these guys to take out frigates and cruisers. Dog fighting with this ship
equals one unhappy player.
LAAT/I Gunship (aka Republic Gunship)
Class: Attack Transport Flyers
Positions: 5: Pilot, Co-Pilot, Left and Right Gunners
Firepower: Strong
Speed: Fast
Critical Area: The cockpit
Used for assaults on enemy cruisers. Not a very good ship, they move to slow.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6b. CIS Units
Super Battle Droid
Class: Infantryman
Primary Weapons: Wrist Blaster, Tri-Shot
Secondary Weapons: Wrist Rocket
Usefulness: 8/10
Stronger than your average infantryman. They have more health than the clone
trooper, but fire slower.
Assault Droid
Class: Assault
Primary Weapons: Rocket Launcher, Blaster Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonators, Mines
Usefulness: 7/10
They kill vehicles and set traps. They run a little bit slower than the SBD
(super battle droid.)
Assassin Droid
Class: Sniper
Primary Weapons: Sniper Rifle, Blaster pistol
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonators, Auto-Turret
Usefulness: 7/10
Not much different from the sharpshooter. They (like all snipers) run the
fastest of all soldiers.
Engineer Droid
Class: Engineer
Primary Weapons: Shotgun, Blaster Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Detpacks, Supply Dispenser
Usefulness: 8/10
A very good unit. Good against infantry, a pain in the ass against vehicles.
They can also heal allies.
Droid Magnaguard
Class: Support
Primary Weapons: Bulldog RLR, Radiation Launcher
Secondary Weapons: Neuropoison, Recon Droid
Usefulness: 8/10
Neuropoison can lower enemy health. The Bulldog RLR is a powerful anti-infantry
weapon, and the radiation launcher rocks.
Droideka (Destroyer Droid)
Class: Special
Primary Weapons: Repeating Blasters
Secondary Weapons: Shield Emitter
Usefulness: 8/10
Toned down from the Battlefront I Droideka (good.) Still, a good alternative to
standard infantry. The shield will protect you for a decent amount of time to
rack up some kills.
Droid Pilot (Space Only)
Class: Pilot
Primary Weapons: Commando Pistol, Fusion Cutter
Secondary Weapons: Time Bomb
Usefulness: 8/10
Better than a marine when it comes to flying.
Droid Marine
Class: Marine
Primary Weapons: Blaster Rifle, Rocket Launcher
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonators
Usefulness: 7/10
Better than a pilot when it comes to sabotage. Looks like a standard battle
droid.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6c. CIS Vehicles
STAP (Single Trooper Aerial Platform)
Class: Scout Vehicle
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Weak
Speed: Fast
Critical Area: The Pilot
Slower than a speeder bike, but built for firepower.
Corporal Alliance Armored Tank Droid
Class: Medium Assault
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Moderate
Speed: Moderate
Critical Area: Rear Tread
They are hard to control at times, but can still cause serious damage.
Trade Federation AAT (Armored Assault Tank)
Class: Medium Assault
Positions: 2: Pilot, Gunner
Firepower: Moderate
Speed: Moderate
Critical Area: Rear Panel
Unlike the first battlefront, they now come with missiles.
Intergalactic Banking Clan Halfire Tank
Class: Medium Assault (another one!)
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Moderate
Speed: Fast
Critical Area: Gun below the Cockpit
Faster than the two tanks above. Only found on Geonosis.
Homing Spider Droid
Class: Heavy Assault
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: High
Speed: Slow
Critical Area: Where the Legs Meet the Head
Actually pilot less. Still pretty powerful. Is found on Kashyyyk in the Rise of
the Empire, but not Instant Action.
Tri-Fighter Droid
Class: Interceptor
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Moderate
Speed: Really, Really Fast
Fast, comes with homing missiles, you cant go wrong with that can you? Except
the lasers suck!
Droid Starfighter
Class: Fighter
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Strong
Speed: Really Fast
Actually, its supposed to be called the Vulture Droid. You cant do the walk
thing with it.
CIS Strike Bomber
Class: Bomber
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Devastating
Speed: Fast
It fires bombs faster than the V-Wing, a good fighter.
Droid Gunship
Class: Attack Transport Flyers
Positions: 6, I think: Pilot, Co-Pilot, Left and Right Turrets, Two Passengers
Firepower: Strong
Speed: Fast
I don't use these unless I keep dying inside the enemy cruiser (Just like most
transports). But freakin' awesome weapons for the pilot!

7. Empire
This is the 501st during the reign of the empire. Here they are called Vader's
Fist because Vader is their supreme commander and he took them on all their
missions.
7a. Imperial Heroes
Darth Vader
Status: Sith Lord
Primary Weapons: Lightsaber
Secondary Weapons: Lightsaber Throw, Force Choke
Found On: Dagobah, Endor, Hoth, Tantive 4
Anakin Skywalker
Status: The Chosen One
Primary Weapons: Lightsaber
Secondary Weapons: Lightsaber Throw, Force Choke
Found On: Mustafar
Boba Fett
Status: Bounty Hunter, Last of the Mandallorians
Primary Weapons: E-33 Blaster Rifle, Flamethrower
Secondary Weapons: Wrist Rocket, Detpack

Utapau, Yavin 4
Emperor Palpatine
Status: Ruler of the Galactic Empire
Primary Weapons: Lightsaber
Secondary Weapons: Force Lightning, Force Choke
Found On: Coruscant, Death Star, Naboo, Polis Massa
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7b. Imperial Units
Stormtrooper
Class: Infantryman
Primary Weapons: Blaster Rifle, Blaster Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonators
Usefulness: 8/10
My favorite of all imperial units. They are just like the clone troopers,
except theyre not (yes, that is a very stupid statement).
Shocktrooper
Class: Assault
Primary Weapons: Rocket Launcher, Blaster Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonators, Mines
Usefulness: 7/10
Use them to destroy vehicles before they get too close. Also to block off
certain pathways.
Scout Trooper
Class: Sniper
Primary Weapons: Sniper Rifle, Blaster Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonator, Auto-Turret
Usefulness: 7/10
The same sniper you played as in the last war, but with spiffier armor.
Imperial Engineer
Class: Engineer
Primary Weapons: Shotgun, Fusion Cutter
Secondary Weapons: Detpack, Supply Dispenser
Usefulness: 8/10
Think of them as less powerful infantry that can heal vehicles, and blow crap
up.
Imperial Officer
Class: Support
Primary Weapons: Sonic Blaster, Mortar Launcher
Secondary Weapons: Rage, Recon Droid
Usefulness: 7/10
Rage increases allies' attack. Imp Officers aren't that good. The Sonic Rifle
is really cheap and really weak.
Dark Trooper
Class: Special
Primary Weapons: Arc Caster, Commando Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonator
Usefulness: 7/10
A jump-pack and an arc caster that can hit multiple enemies is a good
combination. Excellent for taking out groups of rebel scum!
Imperial Pilot
Class: Pilot
Primary Weapons: Commando Pistol, Fusion Cutter
Secondary Weapons: Time Bomb
Usefulness: 8/10
Theyre pilots. Just like all the others. Except these wear black (which makes
them cooler.)
Imperial Marine
Class: Marine
Primary Weapons: Blaster Rifle, Rocket Launcher
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonators
Usefulness: 7/10
They look like shocktroopers. Again, they are only good for sabotage.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7c. Imperial Vehicles
74-Z Aratech Speeder Bike
Class: Scout Vehicle
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Wimpy
Speed: Really Fast
Critical Area: The Pilot
They look different than the BARC speeder bike, but they are a little bit
faster.
Saber Class Fighter Tank
Class: Medium Assault
Positions: 2: Pilot, Gunner
Firepower: Moderate
Speed: Moderate
Critical Area: Circle on the Back of the Cockpit
Now, we all know the republic has this tank, but this one has a differently
colored hull.
Imperial AT-ST (All Terrain-Scout Transport)
Class: Heavy Assault
Positions: 2: Pilot, Co-Pilot
Firepower: Strong
Speed: Moderate
Theyre pretty powerful. Also known as Chicken Walkers. They are slower now.
Imperial AT-AT (All Terrain-Armored Transport)
Class: Ground Transport
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Devastating
Speed: Really, Really Slow
Like I said in my Battlefront I FAQ, "These things are hell on four legs. But,
apparently, hell isn't very fast."
TIE Interceptor
Class: Interceptor
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Moderate
Speed: Really, Really Fast
Theyre fast and come with homing missiles, good craft.
TIE Fighter
Class: Fighter
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Strong
Speed: Really Fast
A pretty good craft for any job, but should NOT have missiles.
TIE Bomber
Class: Bomber
Positions: 2: Pilot, Co-Pilot
Firepower: Devastating
Speed: Fast
Good for bombing enemy frigates, then landing in the enemy hangar.
Imperial Lander
Class: Attack Transport Flyers
Positions:
Firepower: Strong
Speed: Fast
They should have used the Lambda Shuttle instead of using this piece of crap.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8. Rebels
The rebel alliance is nothing more than a rag-tag group of soldiers. They take
this whole war thing a little too far; they sometimes shoot imps AFTER they,
the imps, die (which makes me mad...)
8a. Rebel Heroes
Luke Skywalker
Status: Rebel Commander, Last of the Jedi Order
Primary Weapons: Lightsaber
Secondary Weapons: Lightsaber Throw, Force Push
Found On: Coruscant, Death Star, Hoth, Jabba's Palace, Mygeeto

8b. Rebel Units
Rebel Soldier
Class: Infantryman
Primary Weapons: Blaster Rifle, Blaster Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonator
Usefulness: 8/10
These guys are the backbone of the Alliance. They have the new, really annoying
voice.
Rebel Vanguard
Class: Assault
Primary Weapons: Rocket Launcher, Blaster Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonator, Mines
Usefulness: 7/10
Slower than the rebel soldier but packs a lot more whoop-ass. They have a new,
cooler, look.
Rebel Marksman
Class: Sniper
Primary Weapons: Sniper Rifle, Blaster Pistol
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonator, Auto-Turret
Usefulness: 7/10
I hope Pandemic knows that marksman is the lowest sniper rank. She can know
talk, unlike in the last battlefront.
Rebel Smuggler
Class: Engineer
Primary Weapons: Shotgun, Fusion Cutter
Secondary Weapons: Detpack, Supply Dispenser
Usefulness: 8/10
What does smuggling have to do with engineering? Moving on, theyre basically
your average engineer.
Bothan Spy
Class: Support
Primary Weapons: Incinerator, Stealth
Secondary Weapons: Regeneration, Time Bomb
Usefulness: 9/10
Regeneration increases health. Stealth is good for stealing command posts, but
don't walk in front of enemies, or they will find you.
Wookie Warrior
Class: Special
Primary Weapons: Bowcaster, Grenade Launcher
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonators, Supply Dispenser
Usefulness: 7/10
The Bowcaster is really hard to aim, but they do last a long time. They run
really slow, but they're freakin' Wookies!
Rebel Pilot
Class: Pilot
Primary Weapons: Commando Pistol, Fusion Cutter
Secondary Weapons: Time Bomb
Usefulness: 8/10
All around, the best units for space combat.
Rebel Marine
Class: Marine
Primary Weapons: Blaster Rifle, Rocket Launcher
Secondary Weapons: Thermal Detonator
Usefulness: 7/10
A little worse than the rebel pilot. Looks like the old vanguard.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7c. Rebel Vehicles
74-Z Aratech Speeder Bike

Speed: Really Fast
Critical Area: The Pilot
The exact same as the empire's.
Alliance AAC-1 Fighter Tank

T-47 Airspeeder (Snowspeeder)
Class: ...Medium Assault?
Positions: 2: Pilot, Gunner
Firepower: Moderate
Speed: Fast
Critical Area: Um...The cockpit I think.
The only thing that can take down AT-ATs (other than an anti-vehicle turret.)
A-Wing Starfighter
Class: Interceptor
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Moderate
Speed: Really, Really Fast
A new addition to Battlefront, fast and has homing missiles.
T-65 X-Wing Starfighter
Class: Fighter
Positions: 1: Pilot
Firepower: Strong
Speed: Really Fast
The best fighter in the Alliance fleet (I think).
Y-Wing Starfighter
Class: Bomber
Positions: 2: Pilot, Gunner
Firepower: Devastating
Speed: Fast
The workhorse of the Alliance fleet (I guess).
Alliance Assault Craft
Class: Attack Transport Flyer
Positions: 4: Pilot, Co-Pilot, Left and Right Gunners
Firepower: Strong
Speed: Fast
Critical Area: The Cockpit
This info sounds familiar, oh that's right, it's the same freakin' thing as the
republic gunship! C'mon, anyone could make something. Like... YT-1300? Eh,
better than nothing.

===============================================================================
9. Rise of the Empire
The campaign is called the "Rise of the Empire." (I get it!) It begins at the
Clone Wars, moves to the expansion of the empire, and ends in the Galactic
Civil War.
I will call command posts CPs, followed by the designated number. For example,
command post six will be called CP6. It saves me time and sounds kinda cool
when you say it out loud.
Finally, this guide is intended for the Normal difficulty. So if you play on
Elite don't listen to a damn word I say.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9a. Attack of the Clones
Map Name: Geonosis: Dust Plains
Difficulty: 1/10
Command Posts: 1-7
Notes: This is a training mission, so don't worry about getting blasted to
bits. This teaches you how to be a one-man army.
Briefing: The Clone Army has landed on Geonosis. Get out there and win the
republic their first victory.
Objective 1: Proceed to Checkpoint Alpha
No big deal. Spawn as a clone trooper and head to the yellow marker. Objective
complete.
Objective 2: Neutralize the Droid Scouts
Find the three Super Battle Droids. Kill them. They shouldn't even hit you,
never mind kill you.
Objective 3: Finish Off the Damaged Hailfire Droid
Throw thermal detonators at it. Try to hit the cannon on the underside for
maximum damage.
Objective 4: Capture the downed Techno Union Ship
Head inside the downed Techno Union Ship and wait till the capture meter is
full. When its completely blue, its yours.
Objective 5: Repair the Damaged Medical and Ammo Droids
Oh no! The droid army is heading this way and your allies need bacta and ammo!
Seriously, face the command post and press triangle, then switch to the Clone
Engineer. Head out behind the Techno Union Ship (the direction the droids are
NOT coming from) and you'll see a destroyed health and ammo droid. Switch to
your fusion cutter and repair them. Kill any droids if they pose a threat.
Objective 6: Man the Nearby AT-TE Walker
Pretty easy, find the AT-TE (its behind you and to the left) and stand close to
it. Press triangle to get in.
Objective 7: Take Out One of the Two Spider Droids in the Area
Aim at one of the spider droids and use your primary and secondary weapons to
kill it. Kill the second one if you wish.
Objective 8: Retrieve the Holocron dropped on top of the Techno Union Ship
A Geonosian dropped a Holocron on top of the Downed Techno Union Ship. Get out
of the AT-TE and head to the Techno Union Ship. Change to the Jet Trooper (just
like how you changed to the engineer.) And Tap X twice to fly, then get on top
of the Ship. Pick up the Holocron and get it back to checkpoint alpha.
Objective 9: Capture the Cliff Command Post
Fly on top of CP5 and kill the droids there, then capture it.
Objective 10: Kill 3 Droids with a Sniper Rifle
Switch to a Clone Sharpshooter and shoot 3 droids. Droids only, Geonosians
don't count. Also, stay on the cliff.
Objective 11: Destroy One Spider Droid as a Heavy Trooper
This is why you should have stayed on the cliff. Switch to a Heavy Trooper and
Shoot at one of the Spider Droids. Use a Gonk (ammo) droid to get more ammo if
necessary. When its dead, you can switch to Mace Windu.
Objective 12: Switch to Mace Windu
Spawn at CP4 as Mace Windu. Need I say more?
Objective 13: Kill 10 Droids with a Lightsaber
Easy, run around and slash at droids with your saber. If you die, respawn at
CP4 and continue.
Objective 14: Capture the CIS Bunker
Run to CP3 and capture it. There are a few droids in the area, so be sure to
kill them first. Congratulations! You survived training!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9b. Amongst the Ruins
Map Name: Mygeeto: War-Torn City
Difficulty: 2/10
Command Posts: 1-5
Notes: This is your first introduction to the Episode 3 style clones. This is
your first real battle because you may actually die here.
Briefing: A major CIS energy farm is stationed on Mygeeto. You must destroy it
and steal a sample of Mygeetan crystal for Chancellor Palpatine's super laser.
Objective 1: Capture the Forward Command Post in the Central Building
Spawn at CP1 or CP2 as a clone trooper and head across the bridge. There are
holes in the bridge, so be careful. Head across the bridge, using the At-RTs if
you wish. Head inside the building and capture the command post.
Objective 2: Destroy the Turrets for General Mundi's Arrival
The Heavy Trooper works best here. Aim at a turret and shoot at it with you're
rocket launcher. Do the same with the other one.
Objective 3: Destroy the Energy Shield Power Generators
Play as Ki-Adi Mundi here, it makes things easier. Get around the shield and
hack and slash at the generator. When its destroyed, the objective is complete.
Objective 4: Capture the Northwestern Command Post
Head to CP5 and capture it. Your clones will help you here, but only a little.
Objective 5: Destroy the Shields Protecting the Energy Core
Destroy the shield in front of you; it makes the mission easier in case you
die. Sprint across the bridge, killing droids as you go. Destroy the droids in
front of the complex and then move around it. There are two generators, and
when theyre destroyed, head inside.
Objective 6: Destroy the Energy Core
Take out the droidekas inside and then slash at the generator. It goes down
pretty easy.
Objective 7: Acquire a Power Crystal from the Energy Core
Pick it up by walking over it. It appears right in front of the generator.
Objective 8: Bring the Crystal Back to the Dropship.
Head back to CP1 with the crystal. If you die, the crystal is dropped. Just
respawn at the closest CP and resume until the crystal is in the republics
hands.
VICTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9c. A Desperate Rescue
Map Name: Coruscant: Space
Difficulty: 4/10
Command Posts: Attack Cruiser, Trade Federation Cruiser
Notes: This is your first space battle. It will seem easier if you watched
space overview.
Briefing: The CIS have captured Chancellor Palpatine and are attempting to
escape. Hold off the escape until the rest of the fleet arrives.
Objective 1: Launch Into Space
Spawn as a pilot. Grab an empty ARC-170 Fighter and take off.
Objective 2: Destroy 5 CIS Fighters
Lock onto an enemy fighter, wait until the reticule turns red, and then fire
your missiles. Shoot them with lasers when theyre close. Repeat four more
times.
Objective 3: Destroy the Enemy Frigate
The frigate is a Banking Clan Comms Ship, just to let you know. Use your
torpedoes, lasers are too weak. Stay under the ship, to avoid enemy fire.
Objective 4: Disable the Shields on the Trade Federation Cruiser.
Shoot at the Cruiser with your torps (torpedoes) until the meter is empty.
Battle's not over yet though.
Objective 5: Destroy the Communications Array on the Cruiser
Head in top of the cruiser and locate the array. It looks like a tower with a
satellite located somewhere mid-ship. Shoot at the base, to avoid missing.
Objective 6: Land inside the CIS Hangar
Land inside the CIS hangar and get out of your ship. Don't hit enemy ships.
Objective 7: Destroy the Engine Cooling Tanks
Go through the door on the right and sprint inside the room on the right. Shoot
the two enemy auto-turrets in this room before they kill you. Place a time bomb
on the green tanks, and then stand well back. Do this with your other bombs.
Three bombs will do the trick.
Objective 8: Destroy the Command Deck to Deliver the Killing Blow
You can destroy the Auto-Turret Defense Mainframe (the big pillar in the center
of the main control room) with two time bombs if you wish; this will make this
objective a lot easier. Either way, get back in your 170 fighter or steal a
Droid Starfighter and fly outside. Destroy the Command Deck to win the mission.
VICTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9d. Heart of Darkness
Map Name: Felicia: Marshland
Difficulty: 5/10
Command Posts: 1-6
Notes: This mission is hard because you may die...A LOT. And all the brightness
makes it pretty hard to see.
Briefing: The Commerence Guild, a branch of the CIS is stationed on Felucia.
The 182nd was sent in a month ago, but we haven't heard from them since. Go to
the system and drive out the Seps.
Objective 1: Get to the Downed Walker
Spawn at CP1 as a Heavy trooper and head toward the Downed AT-TE. Along the way
you will hear screams over the commlink.
Objective 2: Kill Six Acklay
What the f**k! They aren't supposed to be here! Oh well...run backwards as you
shoot them if they run at you. Rockets will make short work of them. They come
in two waves of three, so you get a break between waves. Use the break to
refill ammo. When theyre all dead, prepare for the real onslaught.
Objective 3: Defend the Downed AT-TE
You have a new command post, the AT-TE. You have to defend it for 2 minutes,
not very long. The enemies come from the north and east, so get ready. Fight
off the enemy as best you can. If you die, respawn as a Clone Commander. The
chain gun is useful here.
Objective 4: Acquire a Power Cell
A gunship went down southeast of here. I suggest you play as Aayla Secura; her
force sprint is useful here. Grab the power cell and bring it back to the
walker.
Objective 5: Destroy the CIS Turrets in the Fungal Tree
Get in the AT-TE and head east to CP5. But, do not get in if you're still Aayla
Secura. It moves too slow and she will die before you get there. Watch out for
tanks here. Shoot the 4 turrets. Actually, when I played this mission, my AT-TE
was destroyed with one turret left. To make it worse, I was the only clone
left! I had to shoot the turret with a blaster rifle to win.
VICTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9e. First Line of Defense
Map Name: Kashyyyk: Space
Difficulty: 5/10
Command Posts: Attack Cruiser, Trade Federation Cruiser
Notes: This is your second space battle; and you know what, it isn't all that
hard. Now you have new ships.
Briefing: The CIS have invaded Kashyyyk and have set up a blockade around the
planet. You must break through the blockade and get the fleet onto the planet
surface.
Objective 1: Destroy the Inbound Droid Frigates
Pretty easy, but the frigates have powerful lasers, so watch out. Spawn as a
pilot and grab a V-Wing bomber. Keep dropping bombs on them. If you stay on the
underside, you shouldn't take enemy fire. Keep in mind that they can move.
Objective 2: Destroy the CIS Heavy Turrets
They wont aim for you, so don't worry about getting shot at. Destroy them with
your bombs. A couple of bombing runs will take care of them.
Objective 3: Land an LAAT/I in the Enemy Hangar
Land back inside your own hangar. Grab a gunship and head into the enemy
hangar. It might be wise to switch to a marine as well.
Objective 4: Destroy the Life Support Systems and Engines
Easy, head inside either door to the machine room. Life Support Systems are on
the left, Engines are on the right. Take your pick, and if you die, spawn at
the gunship. Destroy any auto-turrets on either room. Three time bombs are
needed to destroy each system. Destroy the green tanks in the right door to
take out the engines. Destroy the big computer screen at the end of the room on
the right to take out life support systems.
Objective 5: Steal the Kashyyyk Holocron and Return it to the Republic
Go inside the final door to the Shield Generator room. Steal the Holocron and
go back to the hangar. Steal an enemy fighter and fly back to the Attack
Cruiser. Run into the command room and complete the objective.
VICTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9f. A Line in the Sand
Map Name: Kashyyyk: Beachhead
Difficulty: 5/10
Command Posts: 1-4
Notes: Some people say this mission is hard, but I think its easy. It is
completely man to man, man to vehicle, or vehicle to vehicle combat.
Briefing: The CIS are staging an assault on one of the last free villages. You
must hold off the invasion until reinforcements arrive.
Objective 1: Hold the Beachhead for 3 Minutes
Spawn at CP3 as a trooper and head onto the beach. Grab a TX-130S tank and
fight off the enemy vehicles. Hold them off, then attack the enemy soldiers. If
you lose CP3, kill the opposition, hop out, and recapture it. When three
minutes is up, time to retreat.
Objective 2: Fall Back Behind the Sea Wall
Retreat! Actually, you probably could hold them off, but you want to win don't
you? Run behind the sea wall and hold your position at CP4.
Objective 3: Defend the Oil Refinery for 4 Minutes
This objective is pretty easy. The most useful units are the Heavy Trooper,
Clone Engineer, and Clone Commander. There is one gate winch that is useful,
without the gate open, enemy vehicles can't get in. If it is destroyed, repair
it as an engineer and the gate will close. Clone Commanders can take out many
units fast and defend the units around him with Rally. Heavy Troopers can place
mines at the gate and take out enemy tanks. When four minutes are up, time to
have some fun!
Objective 4: Force the Droid Army off Kashyyyk
Play as Yoda. Capture CP2 to make it easier. Then capture the Beachhead. Kill
all enemies to keep him alive. You shouldn't die, but if you do, respawn at CP2
or 3 as any unit you wish. Capture CP1 to complete the mission.
VICTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9g. Underground Ambush
Map Name: Utapau: Sinkhole
Difficulty: 5/10
Command Posts:
Notes: This is it, Grievous is on Utapau. Let's end this damn war. Again, anti
infantry or anti vehicle combat.
Briefing: General Grievous is stationed on Utapau. We must invade the planet
and finish him off. This will mark the end of the war.
Objective 1: Go to the Command Post to the Southwest
Here your reinforcements are really low, so move quickly. Run there and shoot
anything that is made of metal (and don't start shooting the walls to make me
look stupid...)
Objective 2: Capture the Lookout Command Post
Run up the stairs. You shouldn't meet any resistance so this will be easy.
Objective 3: Capture the Highway Command Post
Run down the street and use vehicles when needed. Beware of snipers and capture
the command post.
Objective 4: Secure Hangar 10
Play as General Kenobi here. Run to the hangar, killing droids as you go along.
Capture it and look who's here.
Objective 5: Eliminate General Grievous
Hack and slash at grievous until he dies. If (like I did) you die, respawn as a
Clone Commander and use the chain gun to kill him. Aim at his feet or he will
block your shots and fire them right back at you.
<Alternate Strategy Contributed by Jasper Bradley>
“On the level 'Utapau: Underground Ambush' When You have to fight grevious, try
to stay as Kenobi. After you capture the hanger CP, run toward the ledge where
the AA Guns are. As soon as [as] Grevious pops down, use force push and he'll
fly off the ledge!”
Objective 6: Destroy the Anti-Air Guns at the end of the Hangar
If you died as Obi-Wan, be a Heavy Trooper and stand next to a Gonk Droid to
refill ammo. When one's down, go for the other.
Objective 7: Destroy the ATX Energy Pillar
Use rockets to destroy it. Either that or use an AT-RT or the TX-130S that
spawns at the hangar.
VICTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9h. Knightfall
Map Name: Coruscant: Jedi Temple
Difficulty: 6/10
Command Posts:
Notes: You're here to destroy the jedi. Go get 'em. But don't expect a walk in
the park here.
Briefing: Order 66 has been given. All the jedi in the galaxy, even the ones
you were under the command of, are enemies of the republic. You must destroy
the jedi order, forever.
Objective 1: Capture the Jedi Council Chamber
Run into the hall, killing temple guards as you go. Aim at their feet to kill
them quickly. When you get to the stairs, take out the guy in the turret. Run
up the stairs and enter the Council Chamber. Run around as you shoot the jedi.
When you capture the chamber, time to move on.
Objective 2: Go to the Library
Go to the Library.
Objective 3: Keep at Least One Bookcase Intact
Fight off every jedi until theres no more. Switch to an engineer and repair the
bookcases if you wish. When the second wave comes, fight them off some more. If
you die, spawn at CP3 and continue. It's easier to protect just one bookcase,
but protecting them all is sorta easy too.
Objective 4: Retrieve the Holocron and Return it the Veranda
Run up the stairs and into the green room. There are about seven jedi here:
about 3 at the entrance and four at the end, so stay on your toes. Turn right
and then take a left. Go straight into the communications room. Grab the
Holocron and return it to the Gunship.
Objective 5: Kill the Jedi with the Other Holocron and Return it to the Veranda
Play as Anakin. Run up the stairs and turn left. Then go into the meditation
room. Kill all the jedi and return the Holocron to the Gunship.
Objective 6: Kill the 3 Jedi Masters
Not easy. AT ALL!! Be a commander or trooper and pick them off one at a time.
Also, if possible, at a distance. When theyre all dead, its all over.
VICTORY
Congratulations! You survived the Clone Wars!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9i. Imperial Diplomacy
Map Name: Naboo: Theed
Difficulty: 6/10
Command Posts:
Notes: Now you're the empire. You have shiny armor and better stuff. Go show
them what you're made of.
Briefing: The Queen of Naboo is suspected of hiding jedi insurgents against the
empire. Seize control of Naboo and "cut her rule short."
Objective 1: Capture the Plaza Security Post
Spawn as a trooper and head into the security post. Take out the soldiers in
and around this area. Your reinforcements are low (sort of...), so work
quickly. Capture the CP to move on.
Objective 2: Capture the Central Plaza
Now you have to head to the other side of the city. Head over there but don't
rush straight in. Use a grenade to take out the auto-turret (if there is one)
and then take out the soldiers. Capture the command post.
Objective 3: Capture the Nearby Security Post
Now you have a tank here. Put it to good use. Head to the command post and
blast the turrets. Then take out the enemy soldiers. Take out the two AACs that
are around here. Hop out and take the command post.
Objective 4: Destroy the Security Grid Console
Go up the ramp and shoot the console at the wall. When it blows up, get back in
your tank.
Objective 5: Kill the Jedi Guards
This is much easier when you're in a tank. Wait till the auto-turret grid is
down and then head in. The jedi may scatter, so this is easier in a tank.
Objective 6: Kill the Queen Before She Can Escape
You have 2 minutes to do this, which is 1:50 more than you should need. Well,
that's if you're in a tank. If not, it's 1 minute more than you'll need. Same
if the jedi all scattered. Either way, shoot her and she will die. She's
heading to the first security post you captured. If you wish, you can be a
sniper like in the cutscene.
VICTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9j. Preventive Measures
Map Name: Mustafar: Space
Difficulty: 5/10
Command Posts: Star Destroyer, Trade Federation Cruiser
Notes: Here you face the droids. But they are still easy to kill. You've
learned how to stage a landing, now learn how to REPEL one.
Briefing: A lone Geonosian named Gizor Delso is constructing a new droid army
on Mustafar. You must land on the planet and shut down the facility.
Objective 1: Repel the Droid Landing Party
The droids have landed in your cruiser. You have to destroy their transport to
end the raid. Spawn as a marine and shoot rockets at the transport. Stay near
the ammo droid to refill on rockets. Move to the door and when it opens, shoot
a rocket, then move back to the ammo droid. Repeat until the gunship is
destroyed. Finish off the rest of the droids. Then switch to a pilot and grab
a TIE Interceptor.
Objective 2: Destroy 8 Enemy Starfighters
Take off and start dog fighting the enemy. Use lock-on missiles to dispatch
them quickly. Use evasive maneuvers to dodge incoming missiles. When all eight
are down, head back to the Star Destroyer, you'll see why in a second.
Objective 3: Destroy the Enemy's Shields
This is why. Land in the hangar and grab a TIE Bomber. Then go onto the
underside of the ship and start shooting bombs. When the shields are down,
commence the attack.
Objective 4: Steal an Enemy Bomber from Their Hangar
Fly into the Enemy hangar and land. Fight off any enemy pilots but avoid the
marines. Grab the designated bomber and fly back into your hangar.
VICTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9k. Tying Up Loose Ends
Map Name: Mustafar: Refinery
Difficulty: 5/10
Command posts: 0-6
Notes: Let me just say this, stay away from any vents or you will suffocate.
And don't fall off any ledges either, or bad things will happen.
Briefing: After breaking through the CIS fleet, you must terminate Gizor and
take control of the facility.
Objective 1: Capture the Lava Observation Room
Spawn as a stormtrooper and head through the right door. Stay away from the
vents or you will burn to death. Look out for auto-turrets and enemy soldiers.
Head to CP5 and capture it.
Objective 2: Capture the Walkway Command Post
Head through either door and watch out for more droids. Head down the bridge
and capture CP0.
Objective 3: Take Over the Command Room
Head through the door and kill the auto-turrets. Then take right door and
battle off the enemy. This may take a few tries but eventually you will capture
CP2. It would be best to be a dark trooper and fly over the enemies and attack
them from behind.
Objective 4: Destroy the Droid Prototype Schematics
Guess what? New droids to fight! Gotcha! Not really, just destroy the
schematics, which look like hologram projectors. Use grenades or rockets to
destroy them.
Objective 5: Retrieve the Orbital Strike Beacon in the Conference Room
The guy carrying the beacon is now KIA. So find him and pick up the beacon. I
think he is in the conference room.
Objective 6: Place the Beacon on the Antenna Array
Run to CP3 and across the knocked down...thing...and place the beacon in the
blue circle. Then run back to CP3.
Objective 7: Eliminate Gizor Delso
He's hanging around CP3. He looks like a regular Geonosian but has a stronger
weapon. There will be other Geonosians around, so it might be a good idea to
turn on target tracking and track him. He may kill you a couple of times, so
respawn at CP2 and continue shooting at him. When he's dead, the mission is
over and you won.
VICTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9l. Changing of the Guard
Map Name: Kamino: Cloning Facility
Difficulty: 6/10
Command Posts:
Notes: This mission is pointless. But if it lets you play as Boba Fett, its
fine by me.
Briefing: The Kaminoans are creating a new clone army against the empire. Go to
Kamino and destroy the cloning facility.
Objective 1: Gain Access to the Cloning Facility
Play as Boba Fett. Head to the Cloning Facility and place a Detpack on the door
lock. Hit L1 and queue the fancy particle effect! Head inside.
Objective 2: Retrieve a Sample of Clone DNA
Shoot clones to get more energy or auto-turrets to save more. Head inside and
snag the DNA. Then head outside. You cant use your jetpack when you carry
anything, so run. Run back to the Dropship to complete the objective.
Objective 3: Capture the Enemy CP on the Central Platform
Run to the central platform. Push back the clones and capture the CP.
Objective 4: Destroy the Clone Life Support System Terminals
Great, more life support systems. Anyway, rockets and Detpacks if your Boba,
grenades and rockets if you're an imp. There are 5, I think. Destroy them all.
Objective 5: Destroy the Two Evacuation Gunships
They are far away from each other, so move quickly. So, be a shocktrooper, the
gunships actually go down pretty easily. The first one will hover, so that will
be easy. The second won't take off for a while. Try to take them down as
quickly as you can, or the Kaminoans will escape. When theyre both lying in
Davy Jones' locker, you win.
VICTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9m. Prison Break
Map Name: Death Star: Interior
Difficulty: 7/10
Command Posts: 1-6
Notes: This is your first time fighting the rebels ('bout freakin' time.) This
mission is hard because the rebels come from everywhere.
Briefing: A group of rebel prisoners has escaped and are attempting to flee the
Death Star. Put an end to riot immediately.
Objective 1: Meet up with the Rest of the 501st in the Hangar
Ok here we go. Spawn as a soldier at CP1 and head into the hangar.
Objective 2: Defend Hangar 84G
Your first priority? Take cover, use the crates as cover. They come from two
directions, so be ready. The attack is kinda cheap, but still... When the
attack is over, get goin'!
Objective 3: Take Control of the Detention Block
Head into the room with the abyss, then head right. The rebels will be coming
from two areas, but there arent too many. Capture the command post and head
into the hallway. The rebels are coming from this hallway, but theyre easy
targets. Head to the end of the hallway and await your orders.
Objective 4: Secure the Stolen Imperial Plans
Look for a rebel with the yellow marker on his head, follow him and kill him.
Grab the plans and return them to the detention block.
Objective 5: Retake the Fire Control Room
This is really hard! Particularly because there is no cover. Make your way to
the objective marker at CP5 and kill all of the rebels there. The rebels will
come from in front of you and behind you. Take them out and switch to a
shocktrooper. Try using an auto-turret to take out more rebels.
Objective 6: Destroy the Shuttle at Hangar 85G before the Rebels Escape
Make your way to Hangar 85G and shoot rockets at the transport. The rebels will
be gunning at you while you do this. Try being a sniper and placing an auto-
turret here, to make it easier for yourself.
Objective 7: Kill the Jedi Leader
This is it. The final jedi foe. Shoot rockets at him or use lasers to kill him.
Aim at his feet so he cant block your shots.
When I did this, I was the only guy left, with 1 reinforcement point. But I
still won!

9n. Birth of the Rebellion
Map Name: Polis Massa: Medical Facility
Difficulty: 7/10
Command Posts:
Notes: This is hard because you can be overwhelmed quickly if you're not
careful.
Briefing: The rebels have beamed the plans to a secret rebel hideout. Intel has
traced the plans to the abandoned medical facility on Polis Massa. Find the
plans and finish off the rebels there.
Objective 1: Capture the Radar Facility
Head out of the Hangar and run 'n' gun your way into the command post. Capture
it and head back to help your allies.
Objective 2: Retrieve the Holodisk from the Command Center and Return it to the
Radar Facility
Run. That's it. Just run to the radar facility. Don't stop and fight unless you
want to die. Avoid as many fights as you can. In front of the stairs, throw
grenades to clear your path. Then take cover because a lot of Wookies will be
coming. Get to the radar station as soon as you can.
Objective 3: Defend the Radar Facility Until Uplink is Complete
Hold and defend the place. It's actually pretty easy. Place mines at every
entrance to hold them back. I suggest being an engineer because of his shotgun.
You can also heal your allies and repair the supply droids here. You have to
defend it for 2 minutes, not very hard.
Objective 4: Destroy the Databank in the Caves
If not, avoid all firefights you can. Run right past the rebels and save your
sprint for running past them. Use Detpacks or grenades to destroy the console.
If you die, alternate between an engineer, stormtrooper, and dark trooper.
Objective 5: Get to the Hangar and get off this Rock
You should steal a rebel tank here or it will be really hard. Drive over to the
Hangar and get out. Or you can die and respawn at the radar facility. Kill any
snipers and then start blasting at the rebels. There are A LOT of rebels here,
so don't expect to finish it quickly. Snipers are useful here and so are there
auto-turrets. When all of the rebels are dead, capture the CP.
VICTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9o. Recovering the Plans
Map Name: Tantive IV: Interior
Difficulty: 9/10
Command Posts:
Notes: I couldn't beat this level until AFTER I turned off friendly fire.
Briefing: The rebels have, yet again, beamed the plans aboard the Corellian
Corvette, the Tantive IV. Board the ship and secure the plans.
Objective 1: Capture the Barracks
Spawn as a stormtrooper and wait for the door to blow. Throw grenades into the
hallway and then run inside. If the rebels keep coming, go bezerk on them! Turn
left and head down the stairs. Shoot all rebels and throw grenades in the CP
door. After a few muffled booms, head inside and capture CP.
Objective 2: Head to the Tech Room
Play as Vader and let's have some fun! Kill EVERY SINGLE REBEL! When you get to
the tech room, kill some more rebel scum.
Objective 3: Destroy the Security Terminals
I think there are 7 of them. They go down pretty easily, but kill rebels in
between slashes to stock up on energy. Be sure to support your allies.
Objective 4: Acquire the Access Codes to the Ship
You have to use the Objective Marker here. Destroy the Turbine Control to clear
the way. Kill the rebels and grab the codes. Bring them back to the tech room
terminal.
Objective 5: Find Princess Leia
Ok, this may be confusing but... head back to the barracks and head up the
stairs from which you came. Then turn around and go back down the stairs. Head
straight and turn left at the end of the hall. Head through the door on the
left and into the escape pod room (it looks just like the one in the movie.)
Head straight to the end of the hall and she should be around this location.
Find Leia and kill her, yep kill her. Keep moving while firing at her, the
sporting pistol she has is as powerful as a sniper rifle.
Since this can be REALLY confusing, I'm going to use my powers of less than
average ASC II to make a map.

9p. Vader's Fist Strikes Back
Map Name: Yavin IV: Space
Difficulty: 5/10
Command Posts: Star Destroyer, Calamari Cruiser
Notes: Your first space battle versus the rebels. It's also the last space
battle in the game.
Briefing: The Death Star has been destroyed, and the emperor is PISSED! The
rebels are trying to flee Yavin IV. Stop the fleet from escaping.
Objective 1: Destroy the Fleeing Rebel Transports
Be a pilot and grab a TIE Bomber. Head for the transports. There are 7 of them.
You are timed here, but you should have plenty of time. They don't go very far,
either.
Objective 2: Destroy the Corellian Corvettes
You aren't timed here, so make sure you don't rush into certain death. Stay on
the underside to avoid fire. There are only two, so take your sweet fat time to
do this.
Objective 3: Destroy 10 Fighters
From here on out, you have 10 minutes to complete the mission. Fly back to the
Destroyer to switch to a TIE Fighter or Interceptor. These fighters are much
better equipped for dog fighting. Use lock-on missiles and lasers to destroy
the fighters. Stay away from the cruiser when dog fighting.
Objective 4: Destroy the Heavy Turrets on the Cruiser
Fly back to the Destroyer and switch to a TIE Bomber. Don't go head-on with the
heavy turrets or you will be torn to pieces. Stay to the sides and use bombs.
There are only 4 of them, so it's pretty easy. To get to the opposite side of
the Cruiser, go under it to avoid fire.
Objective 5: Destroy the Enemy's Engines
Easy enough for ya? You shouldn't meet any resistance while destroying them.
They each take about six bombs to destroy. When they're destroyed, its over,
but the fun's just getting started.
Note: You cannot land inside the enemy hangar to destroy the engines. Since
it's easier, they locked the doors to the engine room. So don't waste your
time, I wasted it for you.
VICTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9q. Revenge of the Empire
Map Name: Yavin IV: Temple
Difficulty: 10/10
Command Posts:
Notes: This mission is so hard it almost had me convinced that I hated this
game.
Briefing: There is still a sizable force still on Yavin. Get into the planet
and capture the temple, then destroy Rebel High Command.
Objective 1: Capture the Fountain
Don't grab a tank. They just get in the way and are easy targets. Run to behind
the fountain and run in. Shoot all rebels in the fountain to make room for your
forces. More rebels and tanks will come from the stairs and the viaduct. When
it's captured, get ready for a REAL fight.
Objective 2: Capture the Viaduct
When he says "a tough slog" he wasn't kidding. Get into a tank and move to the
viaduct. Kill all tanks and rebels there. Get out and stand on the platform.
This may take a few tries, but you'll get it soon enough. If you die later,
always be a dark trooper.
Objective 3: Take Control of the Reflecting Pool
This is a little harder. Head up there in a tank and destroy the empty tower
turret. Kill rebels here and hop out. Stand near the medical droid as you
capture the CP.
Objective 4: Defend the Reflecting Pool for 2 Minutes
The counter-attack isn't something to be proud of, but the turrets are. If you
die, the rebels will (WILL) capture the pool and you will (WILL) lose. Stand at
the west wall and crouch. This will cover you from the turrets. Kill the rebels
before they get inside the pool.
Objective 5: Retrieve the Breacher Bombs from the Altar
Get into the tank outside the pool. Head over to the altar and kill the rebels
on the south side of the altar (don't forget to kill the turret, either.) Park
your tank on the south side of the altar and hop out. Grab the bombs and get
back in the tank.
Objective 6: Place the Breacher Bombs on the Temple Doors
You CAN place them while you're in a tank, so do it like so. Touch the doors in
the tank and the bombs will be set. Keep moving because you will (WILL) be
taking turret fire. Take out enemy turrets, but keep moving, while the timer is
counting down. When the doors are destroyed, drive into the temple.
Objective 7: Kill the Rebel Leaders
Don't worry; no one will get into the rebel tanks. Head up the stairs at the
end of the room. Go into the room with the green lights. There's no one under
the objective markers. Shoot them (best as a dark trooper) and Bothan spies
will appear as they die.
DEFEAT...only kidding VICTORY
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9r. Our Finest Hour
Map Name: Hoth: Echo Base
Difficulty: 8/10
Command Posts: AT-ATs,
Notes: This mission, aside from the time limit, is easier compared to
Recovering the Plans and Revenge of the Empire.
Briefing: The rebels have been located on Hoth. You must stop the rebels from
evacuating. Time to crush the rebellion, forever.
Objective 1: Capture the Outlook
This whole mission is timed; you have 21 minutes to win. Spawn at the Rear AT-
AT and get in. Head to the command post and kill anything that turns your
crosshair red. When you get to the trench, hop out. Run over to the CP and take
cover at the crates. Kill any rebels that get too close. Capture the command
post to get new orders.
Objective 2: Capture the Forward Bunker
Get back in the AT-AT and head to the bunker. Destroy each and every turret at
the bunker. When you're close enough, hop out and run inside the bunker.
Capture it and get back out. Watch it as rebels will run inside the bunker, and
may overwhelm you.
Objective 3: Destroy the Shield Generator
If the AT-At you were just using was destroyed, then get moving to the second
AT-AT. If not, Get back to the AT-AT and shoot it till it explodes. Use zoom if
you have to. Always keep moving forward, it will make the rest A LOT easier.
Objective 4: Capture the forward Hangar
This is the hardest part of the entire mission. Use the dark trooper to get
there quickly. There are so many rebels here. Stand near the outside health
droid and kill the rebels one by one until more troops arrive. Then, move to
the inside health droid. When you have the chance, move the CP and capture it.
<Alternate Strategy Contributed by Tim Osborne>
"When you are riding the AT-AT to the objective point I take out 2 of the
turrets that are farthest away from the open hangar. That leaves a single 1
left. Get out of the AT-AT and use the turret to shoot people in the hangar.
After only moments of this it seems that people stop appearing or stop coming
into the hangar. I run in and capture it with minimal interference. However, if
someone shoots a rocket at you, you are screwed."
Note: Do not try to flank the rebels by attacking them from behind through the
Outpost. A shield blocks the way to the Control.
Objective 5: Destroy the Shield Console in the Command Room
Play as Vader. Head to the control center and kill the rebels there. Destroy
the console and go back.
Objective 6: Capture the Rear Hangar
There are even more rebels here, but that's good to keep vader alive. Remember
that you have to help your troops, so kill all the rebels you can. Capture the
CP to move on.
Objective 7: Acquire a Bomb Beacon
Easy. Grab it. It's at the end of this room, by the crate.
Objective 8: Place the Beacon Under the Final Rebel Transport
Use Force Sprint to get under the transport. Place it in the trench. If you
die, be a dark trooper, they are the best units to use here.
Objective 9: Defend the Beacon for 1 Minute
You're no longer timed to complete the mission! The rebels come from generally
the same direction, so kill them fast. They will lay waste on the beacon if
they get too close. Use the dark trooper's bolt caster to take out groups of
rebels. You don't necessarily have to use a full blast, but a few medium ones
will get the job done. When one minute is up, run back to a safe distance.
<Alternate Strategy Contributed by Jason>
Try to steal a Snowspeeder and fly to the rear hangar. Then destroy all the
turrets (this includes auto-turrets.) Then, when you get to the rear hangar,
you will be able to overwhelm the rebels.
Ok, so they say they finally had peace. But the rebellion lived on. They
weren't a nuisance to the empire; they spent their time looking for Han Solo.
But, the empire would fall months later. Someone at Pandemic had the story
screwed up.
VICTORY
Congratulations! You beat Star Wars Battlefront II!

10. Galactic Conquest
Galactic Conquest is fun and a pain. Here's the lowdown: You start with three
planets, one fleet, and 1000 credits to spend. You spend credits on bonuses to
use in battle, units to expand your army, or more fleets. You gain credits by
winning (or losing) battles. Move your fleet one space at a time. Attack an
enemy planet and if you win, its yours. Lose, and the fleets gone. If two
fleets are on the same space, a space battle will begin. Conquer all planets to
win.

Bonus Rankings
Energy Boost: 1/10
Not very needed. All it does is make your stamina recharge faster.
Garrison: 10/10
THE best bonus. Inexpensive and effective, I always buy it.
Auto-Turrets: 8/10
Useful but auto-turrets will be destroyed after a while. Best in open maps such
as Felucia and Coruscant.
Bacta Tanks: 2/10
Your health recharges SLOWLY. Its still better than energy boost, but don't buy
it unless you REALLY want to.
Supply: 7/10
Good, but doesn't make much of a difference. It just means enemies will throw A
LOT more grenades. Best used in space battles if you do a lot of sabotage.
Combat Shielding: 7/10
The reserve is small, but it might keep you breathing. The reserve does not
recharge.
Sabotage: 8/10
Good in space battles. But pilots and engineers will heal their vehicles.
Enhanced Blasters: 7/10
Makes blaster-type weapons more powerful. A good counter-part for combat
shielding.
Leader: 9/10
Good, but not as useful as garrison. Can sometimes turn the tide of battle.
Note: If you are playing Polis Massa as the Republic, you MUST (MUST!!!!!!) use
this bonus. If not, the CIS will capture CP3, and then you will lose
reinforcements, and you will ultimately lose. Also good for the Empire.
<Tip for Galactic Conquest Contributed by Jeffery Gumola>
“In conquest, as the empire, when you invade Hoth (in galactic conquest, the
earlier the better because of the 100 planetary bonus and 1000 for the win),
spawn at the [CP1] with a stormtrooper and go immediately to the cp that isn't
echo base [CP2] and also not the shield generator [CP5]. Since the A.I. wants
to protect the generator, it goes after the AT-ATs, and leaves the two regular
CPs relatively under-protected. Kill any rebels (2 the last time I played, none
the time before) after getting the CP wait 10 seconds or so clearing out rebel
stragglers and getting your troops spawning there, then travel the tunnel to
echo base kill all rebels en route (none the last couple of times), and when
you get to echo base stay as close to the millennium falcon and face towards
the snow while turning over the CP (then you should be able to play as Vader in
instant action). Kill rebels, then the AT-ATs should have no problem wiping out
the generator (no more ships for the rebels to attack the AT-ATs with, after
echo base is taken over) and therefore the last spawn point for the rebels.
Last time I played I won with 125 or so rebels left to spawn, I think I had 131
or something.
“However, if the rebels retake the original CP you stole, you are probably
going to have to do the whole thing over as you will personally have to retake
the CP, as well as lose Echo when you leave (damn rebels), so after take the cp
again, travel the tunnel again, and take echo base again.
“Also when you first get to echo base, most enemies will slightly ignore you,
since they are only after snow-speeders.
“And, when you travel through [CP3] you might find out the rebels are taking
over [CP1], but without reinforcements (you took [CP2] right?) they should lose
it to the AT-AT spawned troops.”

Instant Action is a fun mode to play. You choose a map, a mode, and an era. You

Galactic Civil War: Rebels vs. Empire
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mode Descriptions
Here I will describe the modes of play in Instant Action.
Conquest: Basic mode. Capture all command posts. Eliminate all reinforcements.
If you played Battlefront I, this will be easy. If you didn't, it doesn't
matter, it's really easy. Land only.
Assault 1: Your basic space battle. I will explain this mode in the Space
Combat section. Space only.
<Contributed by Ben Carleton>
Assault 2: This is only available on Mos Eisley. You run around as heroes and
villains, hacking and slashing at other heroes and villains. Each kill will
score you points. Get 180 points and win. Very fun. Mos Eisley only.
2 Flag CTF: Snag the enemy's flag (hey, that just rhymed!) Bring it back to
your base. There are command posts, but they cannot be captured. Land only.
1 Flag CTF: There's only one flag (duh.) Everyone scrambles for it to bring it
back to their base. Available in space and on land.
Hunt: It's pits either whole armies or specific classes against a planet's
native species. Kills will gain your side points, just like in Assault. Pretty
fun for something new. Land only.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hunt
Here I will tell you who to play as in Hunt.
Endor: Scout Troopers vs. Ewoks
This may seem weird but, play as the ewoks. The spears kill with one hit. So if
you play as the scout troopers youll be thinking "I'm getting schooled by a
bunch of teddy bears!"
Geonosis: Clone Sharpshooters vs. Geonosians
Play as the Geonosians. They may be killed with one shot, but they can fly and
stuff. I don't know, when I played as the clones I lost okay!
Hoth: Rebels vs. Wampas
I don't think it really matters, the Wampas run slowly but they are powerful.
So play as either one.
Kashyyyk: Magnaguards vs. Wookies
Again, it doesn't really matter. Both sides suck equally (just kidding.)
Tatooine: Tusken Raiders vs. Jawas
Again, play as the tiny annoying side. The ionization rifle is like an arc
caster. It causes much more damage than the bolt-action rifle/Tusken cycler.
Naboo: Gungans vs. Super Battle Droids
You can play as either side. The Gungans' weapons are really cheap, but they
can use the turrets. So either side is okay. I chose the SBDs because, well,
everyone hates Jar Jar.
===============================================================================
12. Strategies WORK IN PROGRESS
These strategies are for non-campaign maps, along with a few exceptions. I
might add more, depending on how much I like the map. You can also request a
strategy for a map I have not done.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Endor: Bunker
Era: Galactic Civil War
Command Posts: 1-6
Heroes: Han Solo, Darth Vader
Rebel Strategy: Spawn at CP4 as a Soldier, then head down the hill to the big
log. Head through it and attack any imps you see. Turn left and shoot all the
enemies at CP3. Other rebels will aid in the assault, and it would be wise to
bring a few with you. Fire will be coming from all directions, so take cover
near the health droid. Once you capture the CP, take out any enemies in the
area. Watch out for AT-STs, ewok traps are located near CP3, CP2, and CP1; but
don't get too cocky, they are still dangerous. Either switch to an Assault
class and shoot 'em down, or let the traps take care of it. Don't worry if any
of your CPs are under attack, imps will use speeder bikes to take them, but
they don't get far. Head to the clearing between CPs 3 and 2 and fight there.
This skirmish will last for a while, so switch up your classes (sniper, Bothan
spy, Wookie, if you die.) If you want to play as Han Solo, go ahead; I
personally don't like him that much, but it's whatever you want. In the
northwest there is a little path that leads to the bunker, if you can capture
it, it will be a huge advantage. If not, eh who cares? Keep fighting and
switching up your classes and the enemy will soon be overwhelmed. If you
captured the bunker, head to CP2 and attack it from behind. At this stage, the
enemy doesn't have a chance. Eventually you will either deplete their
reinforcements or capture CP2. If you do the latter, search for any stragglers
and wipe 'em all out!
<Alternate Strategy Contributed by Joshua Blanchette>
"For Instant Action/Endor, when playing as the Rebels, spawn at the Rebel
command past furthest from the Imperials (all the way in the back). Spawn as a
soldier. Jump on a speeder bike and race all the way to the Imperial Bunker at
the other side of the map. Speed all the way up the bunker, leap off at the
last second and then head down the ramp (may be a few imperials there but I've
only had one follow me down twice). Face the CP with your back to medic
droid...ramp to your right, weird energy thing to your left so that you will be
able to see any Imperial that might spawn. Once you've taken the CP,
immediately switch to the smuggler, go up the ramp and set up both the turrets.
Then go back down, switch to Sniper. Come back up the ramp and then up onto
the top of the Bunker (ideally back a bit to provide cover). As you look into
the distance you'll see a CP...that's where (obviously) there will be a lot of
Imperials. Just snipe away. You're well protected with the turrets (usually
already manned). You can also see Imperials coming well in advance."
Empire Strategy: The Empire has it harder here, due to the ewoks, it is
extremely hard to win as them. Spawn at CP3 as a stormtrooper and head down the
ramp. Fight off the rebels and ewoks on the hill. DO NOT LET THEM CAPTURE
CP3!!!! If you do you are in for a disaster. Don't spawn at CP2 and grab an AT-
ST; they are too slow and easy targets. The key here is to kill as many rebels
as possible and lower their reinforcements. Play as Vader when you get the
chance, he kicks ass! You might be able to use Force Sprint to get past the
rebels and get to CP4 as Vader. If you can, then great job! This will push the
rebels back, and if not then keep fighting. The rebels will repeatedly attack
CP4, so be ready to defend it. Ewoks will sometimes sneak behind the
stormtroopers and attempt to take CP3, so head back there in a hurry if that
happens. The rebels will constantly be using speeder bikes to capture the CPs
behind you, so be sure to recapture them in a hurry. Try as hard as you can to
capture and hold CP4. If you can then push the rebels back to CP5. Then try to
capture that. If the rebels are capturing any other nearby CPs, then go for
them. Push them back to CP6 and capture it. If you can do that then you won
yourself a well-fought victory.

Rebel Strategy 1: Spawn at CP4 as a Rebel Smuggler and hop into a snowspeeder.
Have someone hop in and fly out to the AT-ATs. Don’t let the bot fly, he will
either crash or just fly the wrong way. Slow down by the AT-AT and wait until
the passenger fires his tow cable. Fly around the AT-AT in circles 4-5 times
until it explodes. Land to repair if you need to, then take down the other one.
Fly around shooting walkers and infantry until the AT-ATs respawn, then just do
it all over again.
Rebel Strategy 2: Spawn at CP3 as a Rebel Soldier and head to the trenches.
Imperials will be coming from over the hill, so take care of them. Try to
prevent them from taking CP3. Use the anti-infantry turrets (the big, white
ones) to further assist in the Imps’ destruction. If any AT-STs or AT-ATs come
close by, use the anti-vehicle turret (the black, dish one) to take them down.
Push the imperials coming over the hill back to their CP. Capture it to cut off
their supply of AT-STs (sadly, you cannot cut off their supply of AT-ATs).
Anyway, that leaves one more CP to take (CP2). Only problem is, you gotta get
by the AT-ATs to get there. It would probably be better just to spawn at CP5
and take it from that way. If the Imps have captured any of your CPs (I don’t
think they should, since you defended CP3, CP4 is too far away, and CP5 cannot
be captured) recapture them to win the battle.
<This Strategy was Contributed by Jasper Bradley>
“Capturing the southmost bunker (CP2) as the rebels can be fairly challenging.
If you don't have a snowspeeder or Luke on your side, then here's my tactic:
Have a few guys follow you (from different classes) while you are a Bothan Spy.
When you come upon the bunker, tell them to break off, creating a distraction.
Use Stealth to go in and capture the CP, incinerating any enemies coming by.”
<This Strategy was Contributed by R9tgokunks>
“I was on the Battle of Hoth level, and soon ‘discovered’ the strategy of just
going down to the nearest Rebel ‘Dish’ Gun (I don't remember the name) and just
staying there the whole game and blasting at troops, AT-STs, and AT-ATs, which
is significantly easier that flying around in a speeder, although it takes
longer. And since it is so similar in both Battlefronts, with the exception of
the mechanics, defensive armor position, and details of the AT-ATs and the AT-
STs, it works in both games with the ‘Battle of Hoth’-esqe battles.”
Empire Strategy 1: Spawn at one of the AT-ATs as an Engineer and hop in. Move
out toward the shield generator [CP5], shooting rebels as you go along. Shoot
at the turrets and Taun-Tauns, as well as the foot soldiers. It is possible to
shoot snowspeeders as well, but it takes some sweet accuracy. If one has its
tow cable on you, just point your guns down as far as they can go, wait until
the snowspeeder is in the right position, and well...you know what to do (shoot
it) Continue this until you reach the Shield Generator; when you do, just blast
the **** out of it. Once it’s destroyed, move your AT-AT to right outside Echo
Base [CP4]. Hop out and get any allies to follow you inside. Move in and
capture CP4. From there, head down the tunnel system until you reach CP3. It
should be fairly easy to capture, since you are already inside. Once you have
taken it, finish off the rebels.
Empire Strategy 2: Spawn at CP1 and head over that hill to the west. Over it
you will see a trench system, some turrets, and a Rebel CP inside a bunker. (Oh
you just know this will be fun). Anyway, your role here will vary depending on
your unit. If you’re a stormtrooper, kill the Rebel soldiers. If you’re a shock
trooper, destroy those damn turrets. If you’re an engineer, do both of the
previous roles (destroy turrets, but concentrate more on infantry). Scout
troopers should give long-range support, and dark troopers should try to fly
over to the CP and capture it. Imp Officers should also kill infantry and
support the imperial troops. Anyway, push the rebels back and capture the CP.
Then head through the tunnel all the way to CP4. Quickly capture it, say bye-
bye to your vehicles Rebels! The Rebels might have captured CP2, so be sure to
reclaim that if you do. Don’t worry about the infantry in the center of the
map; the walkers can take care of that. Well, capture any Rebels or capture any
CPs to win the battle.
<This is from Jeffery Gumola’s Strategy in the “Galactic Conquest” Section>
“spawn at the [CP1] with a stormtrooper and go immediately to the cp that isn't
echo base [CP4] and also not the shield generator [CP5].
“And, when you travel through [CP3] you might find out the rebels are taking
over [CP1], but without reinforcements (you took [CP4] right?) they should lose
it to the AT-AT spawned troops.”

13. Awards
A new addition to Battlefront, you can get awards for your actions. Some
require kills, others require points.
Your medals have certain statuses depending on how many times you earn them.
Green means you have never earned the medal. Veteran means every time you earn
the medal, you gain its effect for 30 seconds. Elite means the requirements are
lowered by a quarter. Legendary means the effect is permanent. So, that's why
you want to get legendary on every medal.

14. Tips and Tricks
Here's some stuff to make you better.
Use cover! Cover is your first priority (other than victory.) If not, you will
be reloading in the middle of a firefight (and no one wants that right?)
Always tell guys to follow you. They will double the firepower and kill more
enemies (in some cases, theyre smarter than you.)
This is just common sense; reload whenever you have a moment of peace!
Vehicles can be used as cover, and by that I mean tanks can be used as cover.
Walkers have limited success here.
When attacking enemy capital ships, stay on the underside and shoot bombs up at
them.
Go for critical hits to take down vehicles quickly.
Instant Action will make you better.
Switching classes will not completely refill your ammo.
When capturing CPs, stand near health droids in case trouble comes.
Use the terrain to your advantage (use rubble to flank the enemy, grass to
hide, etc.)
If your playing as a support unit, use their area of effect attack when you
really need it (lots of clones ahead, run into the middle of the mob and use
Neuropoison, then let your allies take it from there.)
Know your foe, know their strengths and weaknesses and use that to your
advantage.
Slice into a vehicle to disable it. When the crew bails out, get in the vehicle
and kill them with it.
The recon droid isn't as powerful in this game, but is still good for scouting.
Use vehicles to keep soldiers safe.
In space, use bombers to take out capital ships, and fighters and interceptors
to dog fight the enemy.
Also in space, always be a pilot if you plan to dogfight or bomb. Marines are
good at sabotage because of the blaster rifle. Timebombs are stronger, though.
Keep moving, even when shooting a soldier; it will make you a harder target to
hit.
Try sneaking around enemies to avoid getting shot.
REALLY GOOD TIP: If you're hopelessly, and senselessly, outnumbered (like 1 to
12) hold and defend. I made this method up, and it really works. Go to a CP
with a health and ammo droid; and only a few pathways in. The enemy will go to
capture all the other CPs, but it doesn't matter, your points cannot go down.
After all others are captured, they will advance on you. Kill any enemies that
appear, and they will lose reinforcements. Most likely they will appear 1 at a
time. Vehicle coming? Switch to and Assault class and take it out. Hide when
it's firing at you, come out and shoot it, hide to reload, repeat. This will
drastically lower the enemy' reinforcements. And you just might win. You can
use a vehicle and go around blasting enemy infantry.
Note: You must not suck to do this.
Watch Space Overview, it will make space combat A LOT easier.
<Contributed by Kensuke Nakamura>
On Polis Massa, only the droids can go outside. So, if you are in a vehicle and
a droid, you can bail out before its destroyed and live.
Use auto-turrets to defend command posts. Place them near an enemy CP to aid in
a siege.
(The following three tips were given to me by James Robbins)
Jedi are most useful for Close Quarters Combat. Use their unique abilities in
CQC for maximum kills.
Although slicing is useful, it can also be dangerous. You can move around when
slicing, but not much and you must stay near the vehicle. Never slice in open
areas where you are prone to attacks from all sides.
NEVER underestimate the power of an enemy jedi. Even if you shoot at their
feet, they may still block it.
Okay, I have to say this RIGHT NOW because it has become a real problem for
many people. To command troops to follow you, target them and press up on the
D-Pad or whatever you command button is. They will then follow you. Keep in
mind that they may detach from you.
<Contributed by Coyneworld>
A good way to get demolition is to change the unit count to zero and play on
Hoth. Spawn at Echo Base and take a Snowspeeder. Land near the AT-AT and shoot
at its neck 4 times. Repeat until out of ammo. Go back and refill ammo. Repeat
as long as desired until you get Demolition 64 times.
<Also Contributed by Coyneworld>
When slicing, jump on top of the vehicle. The crew will most likely not shoot
at you. But do not stand in front of the guns (I hope you already knew that.)
Does not work on AATs. Best on Polis Massa because when the clones bail out,
they suffocate. Stupid clones...wait, I like clones.
If you feel your online skills arent as good as you want them to be, play
Instant Action for a while. Only play on Elite. Elite is pretty hard and you
will probably suck at first. But after a while you will get better.
One thing I hate about BF2 is that the battles are smaller. Only 150
reinforcements come on! So, at Instant Action, go to the Options menu and go to
Conquest. Change the reinforcement count to 200% for 300 reinforcements. 300%
for 450, 400% for 600, and so on... You can do the same with Assault and Hunt.
Ok, if anyone has Frenzy of Legendary they know that the Elite Rifle has less
ammo than the blaster rifle. And they know it's harder to hit moving targets
with a three-shot burst that comes with the Elite rifle. But I have a tip for
this. Just use your regular blaster rifle until you have less ammo in your
blaster than you have in your elite rifle. Then switch to the Elite Rifle. This
will give you extra ammo.

Both Mace Windu and The Emperor have different jump attacks than every other
jedi (or sith). Jump and then hit the attack button. They will slam to the
ground as if a grenade went off. There is no shockwave effect, so get as close
to your enemies as you can.
Baseraping is when you park your ass at an enemy CP and kill a player as he
spawns. It is considered cheap among several players. Since there is no spawn
armor (temporary invincibility after spawning) in this game, DO NOT BASERAPE!!
<Contributed by Elliot Wong>
To kill a droideka, use a jedi. Stay behind him and hack 'n' slash at his
shield. If he tries to turn, move so you stay behind him, this way he cannot
shoot at you.

the AT-ST, but it
will work for the AT-RT too]
i just go right under them and walk along with them, so its easy”
“and for space its WAY faster to slice into a ship, although you cant get in
it, it still counts, i
hide between the force field and the empty ship with the cutter and, and my
finger is already
on the trigger, then when a pilot comes and gets in it, you'll already be
hacking into it before
they even start to hover”

15. Space Combat
Space combat is a fun thing to play here in Star Wars Battlefront II. Here's
how it works, you have a cruiser and 1-3 frigates (depending on the map.) You
grab a Starfighter and launch from the hangar. You have four types of fighters
at your disposal: Fighter, Bomber, Interceptor, and Transport (more on that
later.) Instead of reinforcements you have points. Destroying fighters,
frigates, and the enemy's critical systems will give you points. First one to
180 points wins.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Capital Ships
You have two types of capital ships in space battles, Cruisers and Frigates.
Cruisers
Cruisers are the command posts where pilots and marines spawn. They house
Starfighters and turrets for defense. They are destroyed by neutralizing their
critical systems (again, more on that later.) There's only one cruiser for each
side.
Republic: “Star Destroyer” Attack Cruiser
CIS: Trade Federation Cruiser
Empire: Imperial Star Destroyer
Rebels: Calamari Star Cruiser
Frigates
Frigates cannot be piloted. They don't have Starfighters or critical systems.
They provide cover for the Starfighters. Shooting them destroys them. There are
usually 1 to 3 frigates for each side.
Republic: "Acclamator" Assault Ship
CIS: Banking Clan Comms Ship
Empire: "Victory-2" Class Frigates
Rebels: Corellian Corvette OR Rebel Transport
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Starfighters
Each cruiser has four Starfighters in its hangar (except for the CIS.)
There are 4 classes of Starfighters.
Fighters
Fighters are all around the average craft. Fast, powerful, and maneuverable,
they are a good ship to use.
Republic: ARC-170 Fighter
CIS: Droid Starfighter
Empire: TIE Fighter
Rebels: X-Wing Fighter
Interceptors
Interceptors are the fastest of all ships. They are lightly armored but come
with homing missiles.
Republic: Republic Starfighter
CIS: Tri-Fighter
Empire: TIE Interceptor
Rebels: A-Wing Fighter
Bombers
Bombers are the slowest of all fighters. Not useful in dogfights, but perfect
for destroying capital ships.
Republic: V-Wing Fighter
CIS: CIS Strike Bomber
Empire: TIE Bomber
Rebels: Y-Wing Fighter
Transports
Transports are slow ships. If you land them in an enemy hangar, they become a
CP that anyone can spawn at, except for the enemy. Perfect for sabotage.
HOWEVER! R9tgokunks had this to say regarding that last sentence:
“Well I'd like to respond to that and add that for me almost EVERYTIME that I
have done this (over 30 times now, with the exception of my first 3 attempts in
which it worked)... i would man a transport, and would load up on passengers
in the main hanger, pressing "get in", blah blah, i would fly over to the enemy
hangar and land near the center of it, get out along with the other
reinforcements, start shooting at the enemy troops, and notice that one of my
fellow pilots or marines, gets BACK into the transport after shooting at
nothing for about 3 seconds, and i see the craft lift up (this is an obvious
sign that it is taking off) and that one pilot seems to think that its a big
help to the battle to just fly full speed into the enemy craft's back hangar
wall, and destroy the craft and himself. Thus, obviously, my team does not have
this very crucial spawn point. *sigh*”
Republic: LAAT Gunship
CIS: Droid Gunship
Empire: Imperial Lander
Rebels: Alliance Assault Craft
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Critical Systems
Each cruiser has 6 critical systems that, when destroyed, will bring down the
cruiser. Or just give you an ass-load of points, take your pick.
Critical Systems
Shields
Communications Array
Engines
Life Support Systems
Sensor Relay
Command Bridge
Some systems can be destroyed from within. Land in the hangar and go in the
doors. This is the machine room. The left door leads to Life Support Systems.
The door at the end of the room is the Shield Generator. The door to the right
is the engine cooling tanks room. In the machine room there is a big pillar in
the middle of the room. This is the Auto-Turret Defense Mainframe. Destroying
it will disable all auto-turrets on the outside of the ship.
Heres a diagram of the machine room.

Space Combat Strategies WORK IN PROGRESS
Josh Blanchette emailed me and suggested that I beef up this part of the guide.
Well, he was right. This should make it easier to survive in space. Thanks
Josh.
I will accept contributions to this section. (Come on people, help me out why
don’t ya?)
Strategy 1: Spawn at your capital ship as a pilot (it's the only place you can
spawn anyway.) Grab a fighter or an interceptor and launch into space. Stay
away from enemy capital ships or you will be blown to pieces. Enemy fighters
will soon launch, so get ready to dogfight. Use your rockets to cause damage,
and lasers when you're chasing a fighter. If you die, respawn and repeat. Let
your bombers take out the enemy frigates/shields. If you are down by a lot of
points, grab a bomber and take out the enemy frigates/critical systems. This
will even the odds. If you wish, continue bombing the s**t out of the enemy
cruiser, or flay back to your cruiser and grab a fighter. Continue to attack
until you win.
Strategy 2: Spawn at your cruiser as a pilot and grab a bomber. Do not let
anyone into your second position, if you have one. Take off and fly to the
enemy frigates and blow the living s**t out of them. If you managed to take out
all of them without dying then...you should apply for the Air Force (not
really.) Fly to the enemy cruiser and take out their shields. Then take out
their communications and sensor relays. Land in their hangar and head into the
machine room. Take out the two auto-turrets and head into the engine room. Take
out any auto-turrets here and blow the engine cooling tanks. Head out, grab
some ammo, and take out a few pilots or marines. Head into the life support
room and do the same as you did with the engines. It would be wise to take out
their auto-turret defense mainframe. Steal a bomber and take out their bridge.
You should win by now, if not grab a fighter and dogfight. Note: You don't have
to land in the enemy hangar if you don't want to, but I put down because it's
more fun.
Strategy 3: Spawn at your capital ship as a pilot and grab a bomber. Fly over
to the enemy frigates and destroy them. Then take out the enemy shields and
maybe their heavy turrets. Then fly back to your cruiser/get shot down and
become a marine. Grab your transport and fly into the enemy hangar, use boost
to avoid enemy fire. Make sure there are no more than 2 people in the
transport, or else they will crash it when you get out. When you land 2
crewmates will exit, so this is why. Kill the enemy pilots and marines, and
then head into the engine room. Destroy their life support, engines, and auto-
turret defenses. Steal a bomber and take out the rest of their critical
systems. If you arent victorious yet...eh...do whatever you feel like.

16. Sniping
A guy named James Mueller emailed me and said he liked my FAQ on Star Wars
Battlefront I. He said he especially liked my sniping guide, so I decided to do
another one. Thanks James!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 10 Factors of Sniping
1. Location
Location, location, location. You should choose a location that will support
your operations. It should allow you to be elevated and concealed. Your camp
should be near a command post or chokepoint to maximize effectiveness.
2. Camouflage
The rebels have perfect camouflage. Camouflage will allow you to snipe while
remain undetected.
3. Cover
Cover is an alternative to camouflage. Trees, grass, and rocks all make good
cover.
4. Surprise
If the enemy knows your coming, they will be ready for you. Try switching
locations after kills to keep the enemy guessing. Otherwise, you're just an
easy target.
5. Transportation
Transportation is good for 3 reasons: getting to a faraway camp fast, getting
back to a friendly CP to refill ammo, or to get out of a messy situation.
Speeder bikes are the best transportation.
6. Support
Snipers can't always defend themselves on their own. Try getting a soldier to
come with you and have him be your "spotter." Or have an assault unit place
mines behind you to protect you.
7. Intelligence
Intel tells whether you're heading into a sniping post or a deathtrap. Spawn as
a support unit and use the recon droid to learn the lay of the land. Then,
switch to a sniper and get goin'!
8. Auto-Turret
In battlefront I, snipers came with recon droids. Now, they come with auto-
turrets. Place an auto-turret at your camp and start sniping. If anyone sneaks
up behind you, the auto-turret will open fire. Since you only have 1, you can't
relocate.
9. Marksmanship
Always go for headshots. They are the fastest way to kill enemies. Moving
targets are hard to hit, but try your best. Enemy soldiers can see sniper
shots.
10. Patience
Dude, you're a sniper and not a soldier. If you rush into battle you will be
fried like an egg on a hot sidewalk. Take your time to approach the enemy. When
your close enough, begin sniping.

17. Glitches
This is a list of glitches found in the game.
<Contributed by Phil Mead>
Phil Mead emailed me saying that he was playing as Darth Maul against 750 guys.
When he got to 240-250 kills, his kills went into a negative number. Weird.
<Contributed by John Nicholls>
John emailed me and said that he was playing Kashyyyk as a sniper and jumped
from a platform. When he hit the ground, he did not take any damage, but saw a
glimpse of the Mustafar map.
Once, I was playing as a Wookie Warrior on Mustafar. I fell into the lava...by
accident. After I died, I could see through the lava.
Once, I was playing Galactic Conquest as the Empire. I was in a space battle
with the rebels in deep space. I spawned at the hangar and an asteroid was
floating INSIDE hangar. It went through all the ships and eventually floated
out. Funny, you can go through asteroids inside the hangar, but not outside.
I was playing Assault and I was in a bomber. I destroyed an enemy frigate and
when it was destroyed, I could fly through it and see inside it.
I was playing as the republic in a space battle. I got into a fighter and heard
over the commlink "I cant shake him!" Yet, no one was in space yet. Even if you
set the troop count to 0, in space you will hear voices over the commlink.
Friendlies may also say "they've launched a transport!" on a map with no
transports.
<The following 5 Glitches were Contributed by kh2fanatic9.>
"The first one is when I was in a space battle over Coruscant I tried to land
in my opponents Trade Federation Cruiser and when I landed and jumped out my
character fell through the floor of the ship. The only way I could get him back
in the action was to respawn. This has also happened to me while fighting in
space over Tatooine. I think that it happens in any space level. I wasn't using
any type of cheat codes or cheating devices at the time."
"The next one was on Yavin IV when I went to shoot a Stormtrooper with the
blaster rifle the shot went through him and hit another unit that was only a
short distance away. I tried this again and it only seems to affect the blaster
rifle and the Wookie Bowcaster. I was not cheating at the time."
"One time on the lava level (Mustafar) I was walking down the paths above the
lava and I heard the sound of someone dieing in the lava but my friend and me
were the only two people left and neither one of us fell in the lava. I was not
cheating at the time."
"The negative score glitch has happened to me before in Space Coruscant. My
score went from 22 to -1. Then Defeat showed up on the screen in blue letters.
But in the credits screen it said I had won!"
"I also encountered a glitch where I was landing a ship in the middle of space.
I hit X when I was in the forcefield of my ship. My ship started to land and I
got it on top of a Star Destroyer and was fighting on top of it!"
<Contributed by
[email protected]>
"This happened to me twice. Once while playing as Darth Vader, and the other
while playing as Luke Skywalker (ironic, huh?). So any way I had friendly fire
on and I was bored so I started killing anything in sight, you should try it
its really fun actually, and after I had killed 1 Jawa, 5 of my guys, and 20 of
theirs, the music that plays in the pub, bar, whatever you want to call it,
came on. Except it played it so loud I couldn't hear General Grievous say
whatever he says when he dies (I can never understand what he says.) Then it
stopped but it wouldn't make any sfx, music, etc for the rest of the time I
played."
A lot of people call this a glitch, so ill put it in, although I think it's
more of a shortcut. This only works with Count Dooku and the
Emperor. Use force choke on an enemy, and, very quickly, switch to force
lightning and use it. The foe should both be electrocuted and choking. Sweet.
May take a few attempts.
<Contributed by Bookboy1194>
You can do the same exact thing above, but use saber throw instead. It's a
little bit better because almost everyone has saber throw.
This happened to me when I was updating my guide. I was playing the
Death Star as the rebels and when I was shooting some imperials, it sounded
like someone was whistling the opening Star Wars score.
Also, when I was playing no the Death Star, one of the rebels yelled
"FREEDOM!!!" Reminds me of William Wallace. Note: If you don't know who
William Wallace is, go down to blockbuster and rent Braveheart you stupid
dumbass.
On the Death Star, in the Fire Control Room (aka CP5) you will hear a strange
humming noise. (If you played Star Wars: The Clone Wars, it sounds like the
AATs main cannon charging up.) Look at the main cannon, it's about to fire!
On the Tantive IV as the Rebels, I killed a bunch of Imperials and a rebel said
to me "that's right use your anger." Looks like Emperor Palpatine has a few
recruiters within the rebellion.
I was playing the mission Changing of the Guard and I was destroying the clone
life support systems. The only other guy with me was a scout trooper. Out of
nowhere he said "join the empire they said, see the galaxy they said. But no!"
<Contributed by Zachary Zawojski>
In addition to the funny phrases above, Zachary contributed another one: When I
was playing as rebels in GC I killed a bunch of imps and one of my guys said"
That's okay, you can kill ‘em all" or something like that.
Okay so I was on the Tantive IV as Darth Vader and my troops entered the escape
pod room to capture princess Leia. One of the imps said "Princess Leia is now
on the battlefield. Now I know most of you haven't seen a woman in three
months, but lets be professional about this." I started cracking up and
immediately added it to the guide.

On Mos Eisley Assault, if you play as
Chewbacca, Jango Fett, Boba Fett, or Leia find Count Dooku. Use zoom and look
at him, his cape will fly up.
<Contributed by Devil Hunter>
On Mos Eisley Assault you can walk on air and land on the platform of the big
ship hull. Get on the wall of the hangar with Jabba's sail barge that faces the
big ship. DO NOT JUMP but instead use Force Sprint. You will fall, overshoot
it, or land on it.
If you kill a bunch of people your soldiers will say things such as
"Save some for the rest of us!" or "Glad you're on our side!" and my favorite
"We need more troopers like you!" But the rebels have a funny one "Can I borrow
some of your medichlorians?"
On Dagobah, go to CP2. You will hear Darth Vader breathing. It is reference to
Luke's Jedi training on Dagobah.

"I was using general grievous in Utapau. I am attacking two AT-RTs (the walker)
all of a sudden I found myself falling."
<Also Contributed by Elliot Wong>
Sometimes when you're playing as the
CIS when you're about t win, the droid commander will say something like "We
must Win!" or "Defeat is unacceptable!"
<Yet Again, Contributed by Elliot Wong>
"I was playing on Mos Eisley and all the
clone troopers (only) had a grey triangle stuck to their arms so when u
look at them in front they look like that they are wearing an apron."

"I was playing Rise of the Empire and I had just started playing the "Naboo:
Imperial Diplomacy" level. I had just captured the first command post and was
making my way to the next one. As I went, I was shooting the Naboo guards. But
every time I shot one, I lost a point, as I would if I shot my own guy."
<The following two glitches were contributed by
[email protected]>
“Once, when I was playing a space battle, I put on the invincibility cheat and
went into the shield generator room of my ship, once in there I walked onto the
walkway that leads to the actual generator and jumped down into that mean-
looking mincer type thing, I found that usually when I did it I just fell
through the floor and started falling down through space.”
“also on a space level, I went into the engine room and stood just by the
corner of one of the big brown rusty pipe systems (not the transparent ones
with green cooling fluid in) and shot at the auto turret, I had it directly in
my sights and there were no objects in the way but the bullet just seemed to
stop short right in front of me, I think this is because although I couldn't
see it there was a sort of program extension where it looked like thin air but
there was actually a sort of forcefield like thing and my bullet hit it and
just disappeared.”
<Contributed by mushr00mman>
“this glitch is when playing as the republic or rebels take a transport into
the enemy ship and land it when you do this get out and go to the back where
the blast doors are then walk in between them and roll you can walk around like
this for awhile then fall through the ship and die”
<Also Contributed by mushr00mman>
“the second glitch is once again as republic or rebels if the transport lands
on you you're stuck inside the passenger area and can't leave unless the ship
moves or you re-spawn but while you're in there you're invincible and you can
shoot enemies” (Sweet!)
<Contributed by Sam-the-Man>
“once i was in a space battle and i was the republic, i got in their hangar and
i sabotaged and stuff and then i got in one of their ships and this droid came
up and threw me out and said: Thats my ship u get out, then he blasted my head
off.”
<Also Contributed by Sam-the-Man>
“i used the invincibility cheat on instant action on tatooine, i was republic
and i sneaked behind this droid to a command base and then the droid turned
around and said: i see u and he blasted my head off.”
<Contributed by Ben>
“i was playing story mode (AKA rise of the Empire) and i finished it for the
fifth time (it really isnt that hard). i went back to the main menu and the
graphics sucked and there was no background video until i restarted it. game
glitch or something else?????? No i have not corrupted my save file”
<Contributed by Steve>
“I was playing a space battle, CIS vs. republic, when I destroyed the enemy's
bridge and my ship wouldn't turn. Then My ship went inside of the enemy
flagship (CIS flagship) I could see the entire thing and flew into a black
thing. All of the sudden, I ended up inside the turret room of the enemy ship
and I couldn't land.”
<Contributed by R9tgokunks>
“Also something rather funny: when playing on any mode on the specific planets
which have the hero as Yoda (i.e.: playing as the Republic on Dagobah,
Kashyyyk, Polis Massa, or Tantive IV; and the Rebellion on Dagobah) if you
press the ‘crouch button’(in my case it is Circle) and slowly walk around, his
feet will start to flail almost spazmodically. It seems as if Master Jedi is
attempting to run a very far distance in a ‘small amount of feet.’ Heh...”
<The Following Three Glitches were Contributed by AndrewAnnihilate>
“First I noticed when I was fighting a Hailfire Tank I used saber throw when I
was looking up at the missile holder thing, and when I threw the saber I
noticed Mace would stand as if he was holding his lightsaber when he wasn't.
Then it would come back and he would stand the same way holding the saber.”
“Then I was fighting a Spider Walker (I used the attack earlier and noticed the
cracks on the ground) and used the attack when you smash into the ground, I
jumped up the Spider Walker and when I pushed R1 Mace attacked and damaged the
Spider Walker, and the cracks that would usually show up on the ground showed
up on top of the Spider Walker. Weird.”
“Lastly when I found a Geonosian he flew away. So naturally I followed. I used
saber throw and hit him, and his health ran out like he was dead. But when he
hit the ground he got up and walked away like he had never been hit. And the
worst part was he still had full health!”
As you can tell by the name, I can't explain anything that has happened here;
these are usually glitches in the programming, or mistakes triggered by the
player. Or maybe your games corrupted. Either way some will help your gameplay,
some will hider it, others will sit on the sidelines and watch.

18. Cheat Codes
Cheat codes weren't really featured in BFI, but in this game they are. Now, to
enter codes pause the game and hold L2 and R2. Then enter the code while still
holding those buttons.
Alternate Soldiers: Down, Down, Down, Up, Up, Left, Down, Down, Down, Down,
Down, Left, Up, Up, Up, Left, Right
Funny Captions When Rebels are Killed by Wampas: Up, Down, Left, Down, Left,
Right
Infinite Ammo: Up, Down, Left, Down, Down, Left, Down, Down, Left, Down, Down,
Down, Left, Right
Invincibility: Up, Up, Up, Left, Down, Down, Down, Left, Up, Up, Up, Left,
Right
No HUD: Up, Up, Up, Up, Left, Up, Up, Down, Left, Down, Up, Up, Left, Right
Slow-Mo Sounds: Up, Up, Up, Up, Left, Up, Up, Down, Left, Down, Up, Up, Left,
Right
If you enter the code and it doesn't work, just try again. Either you messed it
up while entering it or you didn't enter it fast enough. When I was testing out
the codes, sometimes I had to enter it faster to get it to work. Any cheat code
I have listed does work. Any not listed did not work for me, and might be a
false code.

19. Contact Info
My email address is
[email protected] Here are the rules for emailing me.
Also, I check my email almost every day. So your message may be answered in a
few days.
1. Don't share my email address with anyone.
2. Don't use vulgar language. Hell, suck, damn, and crap are okay. Anything
else is unacceptable.
3. Don't send me spam; make sure your message is relevant to this game.
4. The subject must (MUST) say "Star Wars" in it or I won't read it.
5. Use the best spelling you can, but make sure I can still read it.
6. Don't point out minor spelling mistakes. This is an online strategy guide,
not a high school book report.
7. You can criticize my guide, but use CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. This is okay
(hey, your guide was good but I think I have some ideas to improve it.) This is
not (dude, your guide freakin' sucks. Have you even played this game?)
8. Don't make your messages too personal. Example: Hey Drew, what's up? Dude I
got a wicked sick strategy for your guide!!!!1
9. Don't make your messages too formal. Example: Hello there. I am requesting
you post a strategy regarding the video game Star Wars Battlefront II.
10. Use black font on white background. I don't want to see some bright yellow
on neon green crap.
11. You can tell me if some of my tips don't work; but you have to say you
tested it and tell me what happened instead.
12. Don't act like you know me. My own friends don't email me.
13. Don't email me about the final thought, I put "farce' there on purpose.
It's a joke!
14. Do not email me asking how to get on top of an AT-AT at Hoth. I don’t know
how.
15. Just to let everyone know, my messages will say, "sent by Nancy Finnell."
That's because I use a family email address.
