1.0 INTRODUCTION
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to my second walkthrough in GameFAQs. Here, you will find all of the
information and guides on how to finish the third Spy Hunter game for the
PlayStation 2. Since there is no guide for this game around the internet, I
will have to take this opportunity myself to be the first to provide you this
walkthrough. I'm pretty sure that there will be other people who will be
writing a more detailed guide than mine because I just wanted to fill up the
blanks for GameFAQs. I even own this game for nearly 10 years and saw no
guide has ever been given around. Well, the wait is over because the guide
you're looking for is here.
This walkthrough is also compatible for Xbox and Windows version even though
most details here will relate to the console originally written for.

3.0 VERSION HISTORY
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: All dates here are written in the (MM/DD/YYYY) format.
Version 1.0 - Original release with all details gathered from the game by
(06/22/2016) myself.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.0 ABOUT THE GAME
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run is the third game of the Spy Hunter series that
was developed by Terminal Reality and published by Midway Games on September
5th, 2006 for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. The main purpose of developing this
game was to tie-in with the movie "Spy Hunter. This was noted on the back of
the Spy Hunter 2 manual that a new Spy Hunter game will be released soon
with a movie connected to it. However, that did not happened as it went
through development hell and "The Rock" is no longer affiliated with the
project. Therefore, the project was cancelled for good and it has become a
stand-alone as of now.
It should be noted that this game along with Spy Hunter (2001) and Spy Hunter
2 (2003) are belong in the Spy Hunter first reboot series since the real Spy
Hunter series was dated back from 1983 to 1991. The second reboot of the
series starts with the 2012 video game.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.1 RELEASE INFORMATION
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The game was first released in North America on September 5th, 2006 for the
PlayStation 2 and Xbox. The European version was released three days later
on the PlayStation 2 only.
On March 26, 2009, the game was released for Windows by Midway Games under a
limited number of copies in Europe. Its origin of release is unknown despite
being unannounced by the publisher as it is most likely because at that year
the company had entered an unfortunate bankruptcy event that forced them to
shut down Midway for good.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.2 STORYLINE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
From the back of the case:
When the evil NOSTRA Corporation unleashes a plan to steal the latest
government technology including the world's most sophisticated spy vehicle,
the Interceptor, it's up to Alex to stop them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.3 SETTING
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The game sets around a few areas of Europe and Eastern Europe. Though other
locations in this game have not been clearly identified, there are some
missions that does takes places in Europe such as in France and Netherlands
due to a couple of visible details that may be overlooked sometimes.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.4 CHARACTERS
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
While there are many characters in this game, this guide only provided a few
characters since there isn't much detail to document them.
i) Alex Decker
--------------
He's a government agent who works for the IES and is the main character of
the game. He was often distraught by his director, Wallace for not taking
his orders on a mission despite their misunderstandings. He drives the
Interceptor while on a mission especially when it comes to a pursuit or an
escape to the agency's drop point.
Decker replaces the original "Spy Hunter" Alec Sects, who has been the main
character for the first two Spy Hunter games in the first reboot.
He was voiced and modeled by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
ii) Gomez
---------
He's the leader of NOSTRA Corporation who wanted to steal the government’s
technology. He was usually seen with a rough appearance in several
cutscenes.
He was voiced by Scott S. Bullock and his model was probably based on the
original Spy Hunter game designer George Gomez.
iii) Karin
----------
She's a scientist who was working undercover for NOSTRA which causes a
misunderstanding between Alex and Wallace.
She was voiced by Kari Wahlgren.
iv) Wallace
-----------
He's the director of the IES who often spoke to Decker via radio while on
a mission in providing him mission objectives and incoming updates on the
field. He and Decker had a misunderstanding sometimes when it comes to
undercover and so on.
He was voiced by Phillip Maurice Hayes.
v) Kryo
-------
He's the wingman who provides an extraction point for Decker. He also
provides information and mission objectives whenever there is a top
priority threat while on the run.
He was not seen in person and was voiced by Alan Blumenfeld.
vi) Murphy
----------
He's one of the IES agents who help Decker in reaching his objectives for
some missions.
He was voiced by Chad Randau.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

4.6 GAMEPLAY
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run, driving around in the Interceptor isn't the
only thing you'll navigate around the game as you will also take control of
Alex Decker, the man behind the wheel. Since this game was intended to
tie-in with the movie, his adventures will have his feet moving out on a
mission.
But first, let's look at the game's main menu and its autosave system.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.6.1 MAIN MENU
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This menu shows five selections on the screen after creating or loading an
existing profile for the game.
i) Play Game
------------
After creating a new profile, select "Play Game" to begin the game. If you
want to resume the game, choose this selection again from the main menu. The
game will load a recent checkpoint that you have passed through. After
finishing the game, this selection is no longer available.
ii) Select Mission
------------------
After a mission is finished, it will be unlock in the "Select Mission" menu.
Inside, you will be able to replay any of these missions you've done. By
choosing them, you will see your status when you first play these missions.
If they are written in blue, that means you have accomplished the following
objectives or challenges. Your ranking is shown beneath the objectives
depending on how much did you while on this mission. By replaying them again,
you can complete these objectives that you have not completed to improve
its ranking.
iii) Bonus Mode
---------------
In this menu, you will first see three rankings on the right side of the
screen. They are "Recruit", "Operative" and "Spy Hunter". The numbers you
have for the following rankings are determined on the ranking you made for
each missions. From these rankings, you can check through the three
selections on the left side of the screen to see what you have unlocked from
the rankings you've achieved.
Getting a "Spy Hunter" ranking on all 12 missions will unlock all bonus
content in the game.
To see all the bonus content in this game and how to unlock them, please
refer to the "Bonus Mode" section.
iv) Options
-----------
Here you can tweak the game settings that will suit you best. However, it is
advisable not to disable the game's autosave system as they will allow you
to resume the game from its last checkpoint.
You can even change the game difficulty if you wanted a challenge or to make
them easy for yourself in the game.
v) Credits
----------
See the names of Terminal Reality and Midway as well as other people who are
involved in the making of this game.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.6.2 AUTOSAVE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This game uses an autosave feature that will automatically save your
progress that will allow you to return to the recent checkpoint of a
mission at anytime from the pause menu.
Whenever you see the word "Autosaving..." on the bottom of the screen while
on a mission or a blank screen with the word "Autosave", don't do anything
to the console until it's done or else the file will be corrupt even if the
console's internal browser did not detect it as corrupt. This problem is
often seen in the NTSC version so make sure to hang around a little longer
to avoid file corruption.
If you are beating the time on a mission, the game will restore the time
back when it reaches the checkpoint.
Returning to the last checkpoint/autosave can sometimes alter the enemies'
presence or the environment like it never happened before. You can use this
bug to save some health points and ammunitions. However, this bug can lose
the opportunity to go back what you've missed before entering the
checkpoint so be careful.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.6.3 THE INTERCEPTOR
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Generally, the Interceptor is what Spy Hunter is all about. NOSTRA will be
chasing you along with their helicopters while you barge into their area
attempting to complete your mission objectives given by the IES or the
Intelligence Espionage Service before taking you into the extraction point.
Kryo will be informing a lot to Alex on a mission if Wallace isn't there to
assist him. He will also provide additional supplies by dropping a weapons
crate ahead of the way. Once you go through it, the Interceptor will be
fixed and all of its ammunitions of the vehicle's available weapons will be
refilled.
Depending on the location of the mission, the Interceptor will have to be
on the seaways sometimes but can restore into its original form when
touching the streets again.
At other times, on land, the Interceptor will need to transform into a
motorcycle to get through a confined space. Though it cannot restore into
its original form anymore, it is more faster and can slide through
blockades.
i) The Enemies
--------------
NOSTRA has been tracking the Interceptor all the time and will send its
reinforcements to stop it from completing the mission that will destroy
their evil plans. They have all sorts of vehicles where they will try to
take down this spy vehicle.
a) Humvee
---------
This is NOSTRA's basic 4x4 vehicle which is sometimes armed with a commando
to shoot down the Interceptor from behind. Most of the time, they will
attempt to ram the Interceptor until it's out of control. Destroying this
vehicle should be easy despite its size and speed.
b) Speedster
------------
This is NOSTRA's spy vehicle that fires missiles and usually drop mines
from behind. It is fast and can be hard to destroy it due to its height that
may cause a missile to miss it sometimes.
c) Speedboats
-------------
There are numerous versions of speedboats NOSTRA will send in. They may be
firing machine guns or electrocuting the Interceptor on the seaways. They
will also drop off some mines from their rears too. Destroying them on the
seaways will vary depending on their design and speed.
d) Helicopters
--------------
NOSTRA will send in helicopters to track and hunt down either Alex or the
Interceptor from the sky. They will usually launch missiles at you or other
props to create a blockade on your path. Sometimes, they will bring you
down together with another helicopter depending on the script. Destroying
the helicopter is easy but sometimes they may destroy your missiles so
doing this numerous time on them is recommended.
ii) Your Weapons
----------------
It's not the Interceptor without its weapons as NOSTRA vehicles are well
armed and dangerous. You will be using a variety of weapons to take them
out whether it's bullets or missiles. Note that you will unlock new weapons
for the Interceptor in later missions as mentioned.
a) Machine Guns
---------------
This is the Interceptor's default weapon. It fires at medium rate and it's
ammunitions are infinite so it won't be depleted.
b) Rockets
----------
This is the Interceptor's biggest problem solver when fighting against
NOSTRA vehicles. It may also track down the vehicles a bit and it can
only attack vehicles on land and on seaways.
c) Lasers
---------
This is another weapon for the Interceptor that shoots directly upon the
reticule. Holding the button will charge the weapon until it grows powerful
to destroy a NOSTRA vehicle when releasing it. You will lose 10 shots from
charging them although you can fire this weapon regularly against them.
d) Guided Missiles
------------------
This is the Interceptor's secondary weapon. It follows where the Interceptor
has targeted and will destroy it instantly especially mission objectives.
e) Chaffs
---------
The chaffs will counter NOSTRA's missile who have fired at the Interceptor,
causing them to turn the tables to their own side. Since they are infinite,
you can do this many times as you want.
f) Salvo
--------
The newest addition to the Interceptor is this unique weapon that can attack
multiple targets in a moment. As the Interceptor found lots of target in an
area, enter Salvo mode and mark them all with the reticule as fast as you
can. You can manually enable the targets by pressing the "Down" button if
you want to do this on your own. You can make only three shots for this
weapon.
g) Tire Spikes
--------------
Behind the rims are spikes that will scratch NOSTRA off its sides until
they're destroyed. Keeping these spikes out should make them think twice
before attempting to ram the Interceptor.
h) Smoke Screen
---------------
This is the Interceptor's default evasive weapon that allows you to gas
NOSTRA into temporary blindness. You will notice the smoke area on your
radar to see which red blips has become the victim of the gas.
i) Oil Slick
------------
Spilling out some gasoline will cause NOSTRA vehicles to loose their control
for a while.
iii) ON FOOT
-------------
Since most missions take place on the shoes of Alex Decker, you will be
punching, throwing and shooting your way to go back into the Interceptor or
the exit point. This is the newest feature to have happened in a Spy Hunter
game.
a) The Fists
------------
Since Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is the Spy Hunter here, all his known
wrestling moves have been brought here too. There were all recorded via mocap
to bring his moves into the gaming world so that players can choose their way
to defeat the NOSTRA commandos, unarmed or not. Press the 'L1' button to
defend yourself from their attacks when meeting them.
a) Light Attacks
----------------
By pressing the Square button, Alex will only hurt the enemy but not pushing
him down. Hitting the Square button him multiple times will make the enemy
fall but still need to do some more beating.
b) Heavy Attacks
----------------
Hitting the Triangle button will make the enemy fall instantly, but that's
just one big punch. You're gonna need to do it again to really make him fall
permanently.
c) Stun Attack
---------------
Press and hold the Triangle button will cause Alex to stun the enemy, then
you can press any of the buttons to put him out of misery. This is one of
the quickest way to defeat the enemy.
d) Carry and Throw
------------------
Pressing the 'X' button in front of your enemy will make Alex carry him and
then decide whether to throw him out like a trash by pressing 'X' again or
give him a knee by pressing any other buttons. This is also another quickest
way to finish them.
e) Multiple Attacks
-------------------
You can combine the attacks mentioned above to give these opponents a real
hit to the ground. Try combining light and heavy attacks on them.
f) Disarming Enemy
------------------
If the enemy is firing a gun, you can bravely approach him up close and
press the 'X' button to disarm him. If the enemy is holding a pistol or a
sub-machine gun, Alex will knock him down. If the enemy is holding an assault
rifle, Alex will knock their weapons down before finishing him. You can do
this to fill up your weapon's ammunition or pick them up.
g) Neck Breaking
----------------
Alex can perform this action if he's behind the enemy. Hit 'X' to finish him
off.
h) Throwing Objects
-------------------
There are some objects that Alex can pick up to use it as a weapon. Hit 'X'
when you're near them. Hit 'X' again to throw the object.
ii) Firing Guns
---------------
Relying on your fists isn't enough as many enemies will approach you with a
sidearm or an assault rifles. To defeat them, you must own a weapon to take
them out.
As you own a weapon, arm it by pressing the 'R1' button. Then, aim the
reticule to your enemy until it turns red and fire with the 'R1' button
again. If you're nearly out of clips, reload your weapon by pressing the 'X'
button. If you're done, press the Square or Triangle to disarm your weapon.
When you find it hard to aim at your enemies, press the 'R3' button to zoom
the aim. Depending on which weapon you're using, it may zoom much closer
than other weapons. Sometimes, when moving around with a weapon up, the
reticule will sometimes detect slightly to a nearby enemy. It may help you a
little to improve your aim.
A headshot will instantly defeat them faster as they are usually less
protected. So always go for their melons when shooting them.
There are some objects that you can shoot at in the game. If the reticule
turns yellow, it means that this object will open a nasty surprise to the
enemies.
Throughout the game, you'll see many types of pistols, sub-machine guns,
shotguns and assault rifles that you can bring them up to fight back.
However, you can only pick up two weapons so choose only the weapons your
enemies are commonly using in a mission so you can fill up their ammunitions
easily after they dropped their weapons.
When you find a rocket launcher, make sure to keep for only hard-hitting
opponents since its ammunitions are very limited compared to other weapons.
If you're too close to them, the enemies will hit you with their weapons,
entering hand-to-hand combat. But they will return to assault you if you run
away. Sometimes when you disarm them, they will equip their secondary weapon
if you're not careful.
If you ranked "Spy Hunter" in all missions, you will be given three unique
weapons with superior ammunition capacity and damage that will making
sweeping more easier than before. They can be found nearby the starting point
on any mission you replay.
iii) Turrets
------------
Alex can mount himself on the turrets in some missions. Just walk behind the
turret and press 'X' to mount on it as told. Then, press 'R1' to fire the
turret on incoming enemies. Its ammunitions is unlimited so you can hold the
fire button while aiming at them using the right analog stick. Press 'X'
again to leave the turret after you're done.
iv) Taking Cover
----------------
There are wall and other objects that you can take cover. Press the 'L2'
button to get behind them. With your weapon armed, move to the left or
right to peak on the other side of the corner. When you see your enemies
there, shoot them. Press 'L2' again to get off of them.
For lower objects and barricades, press the Circle button to make Alex
crouch for cover. You will aim and shoot them from this position as well
as taking small damages. Press Circle again to get up after the coast is
clear.
Note that enemies can also take from behind these objects. So be prepare to
shoot them when they're visible again.
v) Grenades
-----------
Most missions will have grenades around for you to use it. They are three
types of grenades you'll encounter. The frag and incinerated grenades are
the ones you'll commonly pick up. But the mines are only available in some
missions. To switch to a different grenade, press the down button change
them to your preference.
To throw a grenade, aim the reticule and press the 'L1' button. You can hold
the 'L1' button while aiming before releasing it.
If you're throwing a mine grenade, avoid making contact with it after it is
set.
NOSTRA will also be using grenades too so be careful when they do so. They
will also launch grenades from their unique weapon. Be caution when disarming
them or wait for them to run out of grenades.
vi) Spider Tanks
----------------
NOSTRA will sometimes foolishly leave their tanks somewhere else. You can
take the opportunity to fight them back with this vehicle by pressing the 'X'
button to man yourself into the tank. Use the left analog stick to navigate
the tank around an open field.
When you see another spider tank, be prepare to take cover and aim half of
the tank's body to destroy them.
Depending on which mission you're on that allows you to use the spider tank,
the damage may vary.
vii) Restoring Health
---------------------
Alex may take damage during combat. As the health bar reduces more, you may
need to find a medical cabinet or a medkit immediately. If you see a medical
cabinet, open up and you'll pick up one or two medkits inside that will
restore 50% health each. Approach the medkit on the floor if you see one,
but it may either restore 25% or 50% of Alex's health.
Alternatively, if you take a slight damage, you need to find cover for a
while until the health restores from its outline. This is because your
health loses after turning them into outlines that was later remove if the
damage keeps punching you.
viii) Surviving the Fight
-------------------------
It is very important to stay alive during combat to avoid taking serious
damage again. You can dodge from enemies' attack by moving the left analog
stick to the direction you want to take cover and press the Circle button
to roll over to that direction faster. This will help save your health
points greatly.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.6.7 NOSTRA UP CLOSE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dealing with NOSTRA on foot is dangerous too as you'll not only meet a group
of commandos who wanted to take you down but also other types of enemies
that are more stronger than them.
i) Commando
-----------
The regular NOSTRA grunts you'll normally encounter. They carry several
weapons to take you out. There are three types of commando you'll generally
encounter where their armor is the only difference.
ii) Heavy Commando
------------------
This is NOSTRAs hard-to-hit infantry that only grenades can defeat him
instantly. They sometimes launch grenades at you with their unique weapon
and sometimes approaches you unarmed. You can even try to take their heads
off too but this will waste numbers of bullets.
iii) Drones
-----------
This is NOSTRAs own armed robotics that flies around to take you down.
While it's easy to stop them, their movements will try to harden you a bit.
iv) Spider Tanks
----------------
This is NOSTRAs military vehicle that will wipe you out in every shot
faster. To defeat them, you'll need to find one unmanned to fight them back
or find some rocket launchers to destroy them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.6.8 HEADS-UP DISPLAY
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The HUD shows a few basic indicators that you'll be familiar with it.
i) The Interceptor
------------------
Health Bar: Indicates the condition of the Interceptor. The bar reduces when
more damage is taken. The bar will flash red if the meter is low.
Located on the upper left corner of the screen.
Salvo Ammunitions: You can use the Salvo up to three times. As it disappears
one by one, you can't used it anymore.
Located below the health bar.
Weapons Indicator: Shows the current primary and secondary weapons as well
as the chaffs which is infinite.
Located on the upper right corner of the screen.
Evasion Weapon Meter: Show the current evasion weapon either a smokescreen
or an oil slick and its meter. The meter will drown as
you use them.
Located on the right side of the screen.
Radar: Indicates the current objectives marked by the blue arrow followed
by a blue blip if nearby and also enemies marked by the red blips.
Enemies are indicated yellow sometimes as they are approaching you.
The flashing red triangle will appear when using the smokescreen.
Allies are marked by the green blips and whites indicate civilians.
Located on the lower left side of the screen.
ii) On Foot
-----------
Health Bar: Indicates Alex's condition. The bar reduces if he takes damage.
The damage outline will appear first before it lost if
more damage was hit. The bar flashes red if his health is low.
Located on the upper left corner of the screen.
Radar: Indicates the current objectives marked by the blue arrow followed by
a blue blip if nearby and also enemies marked by the red blips.
Enemies are indicated yellow sometimes as they are approaching you.
Allies are marked by the green blips and whites indicate civilians.
Located on the lower left side of the screen.
Weapons Indicator: Shows the current weapons you're using and the type of
grenades selected.
Located on the upper right corner of the screen.
In some missions, there will be a special health meter for certain named
enemies or allies that will be displayed below the screen where they
must be defeated or protected. There are some missions that will display
a time meter above the screen where the player will have to hold on. It
may be slow or fast depending on the mission objective.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.6.9 OBJECTIVES
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In every mission, you will normally be given two sets of objectives. Which
are the mission objectives and secondary objectives. Normally mission
objectives must be accomplished before you can progress the game. Secondary
objectives are usually optional but will help you gain the following
mission's ranking.
After finishing a mission, you can look back at those missions again by
going into the "Select Mission" menu. Selecting a previously done mission
will give you a full brief of not only the secondary objectives but also the
challenges. If they are written in blue, it means that you have accomplished
them already.
The mission's ranking concludes you depending on your accomplishments to the
mission's secondary objectives and challenges. If you are ranked "Recruit",
you've only finished its mission objectives. If you ranked "Operative",
you've finished its primary and secondary objectives. A "Spy Hunter" ranking
will be given if you also finish all the challenges for the following
mission.
The primary challenge for each mission is to finish them before or on the
following time. To do that, you'll have to skip cutscenes and move faster or
evade enemies to get to the mission objective. You can skip other objectives
for the sake of this challenge but it's not impossible to finish this
challenge with other challenge and objectives. Sometimes, you can try to be
faster in one part of the mission by returning to its latest checkpoint in
order to accomplish this primary challenge. You should have no problem
beating the time after time. Don't worry during boss battles, you'll still
have more to defeat them as long as you move faster earlier.
Getting a "Spy Hunter" ranking on all missions will unlock all bonus
contents and special weapons that will spawn somewhere near Alex for every
part of all missions.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.0 WALKTHROUGH
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This walkthrough will guide you to obtain the "Spy Hunter" rank for all
missions. You can read the details for each challenges to find out how to
accomplish them. Now, let's move on to the adventure.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.1 MISSION 01: SOMETHING LOST
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission Objectives:
- Get to the transport truck.
Second Objectives:
None
Challenges:
- Complete the mission in time. (01:44)
Achieving this challenge is a piece of cake since you won't be doing a lot
in this mission but driving down till the end. You will unexpectedly
accomplished this challenge for the first time without replaying the
mission.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*AUTOSAVE*
Drive and follow the road. NOSTRA vehicles will be chasing you so shoot them
or use the spikes to eliminate them on the run.
Later, you'll be attacked by a helicopter while you're still on the wheel.
Keep driving forward until the mission ends.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.2 MISSION 02: UNDERCOVER
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission Objectives:
- Locate Dante in the supply room.
- Download the access codes from the bridge.
- Meet Dante in the computer room.
- Assist Dante with the access codes.
- Locate the head scientist.
- Locate the Interceptor tech.
- Find the Interceptor.
- Clear the cargo hold of enemies.
- Shoot the cable to free the Interceptor.
- Escape in the Interceptor.
Second Objectives:
- Plant (6) bombs to sabotage the ship.
- Pick up ammo from the armory.
Challenges:
- Complete the mission in time. (08:32)
The only way to achieve this challenge is to dash almost every threat in
this mission. You can still clear some enemies though but don't take too
long. Remember to go for the headshots.
- Throw (4) enemies overboard.
- Throw (2) enemies into the dive tank.
- Throw (2) enemies through the glass.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*AUTOSAVE*
The game will start off with Alex on foot. Wait for the garage door to open
in front of him when the game stated that "Red blips are enemies."
On the left is a rocket cache where you'll see a green highlight on it.
Approach near it and arm the bomb there. The commando will trigger the alarm
and started attacking Alex.
Use only the attack moves as told by the game to continue the mission. Each
moves will bring out one new commando approaching from the door where you'll
need to enter later.
NOTES
-----
The only moves in the game that requires you to do it before proceeding the
mission are the throwing attack and the stun punch and melee finishing
attack.
When the game asks you to do the throwing attack on the commando, you can
finish him with the knee drop instead of throwing him to proceed the mission.
After finishing them, disable the alarm and head into the door where the
commandos have entered. Take the first door of the right hallway to meet
Dante. Dante will head to the starboard door of the right hallway to unlock
it for Alex.
Outside, throw the commando out of the ship. Beat him once first before you
can lift him up. Then, throw the other two commandos who are approaching Alex.
Enter the bridge in front of the ship. Clear them out and disable the alarm
and plant the explosives near the mainframe. Download the codes from the
mainframe and exit the bridge.
*AUTOSAVE*
Head inside the navigation room where a crew will exit from that door. Throw
him out of the ship and enter the room.
Clear out the room by throwing two commandos into the glasses. Another one
will appear from the door you'll be entering later. Defeat him and open the
medical cabinet to heal Alex if injured. Enter that door to continue.
There is a crew down the stairs. Beat him up and arm the bomb on the
generator under the stairs. Enter the door downstairs of this room where the
sign "Floor Level 1" is written nearby, which is the ship's central labs.
There are two enemies inside the room and they're far apart. Throw both of
them into the dive tank to feed the shark swimming inside.
Set the bomb near the lab's apparatus and the water tank and enter the door
to the hallway.
In the hallway, arm the bomb on the right wall and head inside the computer
room on the left where Dante is waiting for you.
Head to the left computer and input three codes as shown on the screen
before it runs out of time.
*AUTOSAVE*
Open the locker next to the door and pick up the pistol inside. Return to
the central labs and enter the research room ahead of you.
After the cutscene, clear out the enemies near the door you'll later enter.
As the light turns green, a commando from the door will shoot you. Take him
out and enter the door into the hallway.
Duck down behind the boxes while crossing through the hallway to disable the
automated turret. Its switch is located near the armory room. Plant the bomb
on the green highlight you've just saw earlier on the left wall. Now, enter
the armory room.
Beat the crew down before picking up the Interceptor tech. Now pick up the
handgun near you.
*AUTOSAVE*
Head into the locker and pick up the pistols inside to complete the
secondary objective before heading back into the hallway.
Back in the hallway, the area has wrecked. You'll notice the game wants
you to take Alex into the designated area to introduce you the game's cover
system. You can ignore this and shoot the commandos at the end of the
hallway. Open the medical cabinet to heal Alex and enter the central labs.
Head straight up to the door where the computer room was and enter the door
on its right.
In here, the game will instruct you to zoom your weapon’s aim. There are two
enemies inside that you need to take them down. After you're done, head down
the where a crew will be killed by the explosion.
Keep going into the engine where a commando will sometimes open the door to
shoot you. Clear out all of the enemies inside that room.
*AUTOSAVE*
Before leaving the engine room, refill your ammunitions from the locker
and heal Alex from the cabinet before entering the door to the cargo hold.
Outside, eliminate the crews hiding behind the boxes and shoot the cable
holding the Interceptor up in the air.
Dash Alex to the Interceptor and hit the interaction button to finish the
mission. You may optionally shoot the crew about before doing this.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.3 MISSION 03: THE ESCAPE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission Objectives:
- Meet Kryo at the pick up point.
- Park at the dock.
- Find the controls to open the spillway doors.
- Dodge the oncoming trains.
- Use explosive charges to blow up the submarine.
- Escape before the bombs go off.
- Stay ahead of the Nostra rocket.
Secondary Objectives:
- Destroy the (6) Nostra defense stations.
- Destroy the (3) Nostra comm towers.
Challenges:
- Complete the mission in time. (10:57)
Completing this challenge should be easy since you'll be speeding
throughout the mission till the end.
- Hit all the jumps. (7)
The large icy ramps are the ones that you need to look for around the
river.
- Destroy (28) helicopters.
Destroying them can be a miss sometimes so double-check to ensure that
you destroy all 28 of them.
- Avoid all trip lasers.
When you're approaching these lasers while running from the missile,
slow down a bit to help avoid them easily. When meeting with red laser
grids, speed up a little when approaching and slide into them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
PART ONE
--------
*AUTOSAVE*
As the mission starts, hit the ice ramp on your left. Keep driving forward
until you see NOSTRA is pursuing you. Shoot them with anything or gas them
to evade them. The Interceptor will automatically target the defense station.
Use the secondary missiles to destroy them.
As you're heading for the next defense station, hit the ice ramp on your left
and take out it out as targeted.
Through the arch, Kryo will send you a weapons crate on the seaways to refill
and repair the Interceptor. Drive through it.
Hit the ice ramp while moving forward. As the Interceptor reaches near the
dam, it will then detect many threats in front of you. Enable Salvo mode to
take them all out.
Move forward until you see the spillways doors are closing your way. Park the
Interceptor at the dock on the left.
*AUTOSAVE*
Enter the door into the dam and clear out all enemies through the turbine
room. As you reach near the stairs, open the locker and the medical cabinet
to refill and restore. Head forward on the platform to open the spillway
doors back.
*AUTOSAVE*
Return downstairs and clear out incoming NOSTRA commandos from the entrance
door and the balcony. Head back into the Interceptor and drive through the
doors you've opened.
*AUTOSAVE*
Shoot down the three helicopters above while shooting the boats attacking
you. Hit the ice ramp after passing through the arcs and drive up to the
wooden ramp into the road to end this part of the mission.
PART TWO
--------
*AUTOSAVE*
Drive forward and activate Salvo mode to take down the targets from the
railway bridge. Then, destroy the two helicopters in front of you and take
out the defense station.
Enter Salvo mode again when asked to destroy the defenses on the railway
bridge before touching down the seaways.
*AUTOSAVE*
As you hit the laser grid, the mines will be activated. Avoid making contact
with them and hit the large ramp where the two helicopters are located
nearby. Take them both out.
While avoiding mines, shoot the defense station and take out another two
helicopters on your way to the ramp.
Activate Salvo mode as you're on the ground to destroy the communications
tower and two helicopters. Near the bridge, shoot the helicopter before
touching down into the seaways.
*AUTOSAVE*
Kryo will drop a weapons crate which is located nearby the ramp. Go through
it, then turn around and drive up the ramp.
Move forward until you reach the railway tracks where there are helicopters
in your way. Destroy all five of them as you pass by.
As you reach the tunnel, shoot the sentry guns above it while dodging
oncoming trains (for some reason on two lanes). There are about five of them.
Out of the tunnel, activate Salvo mode to destroy the communications tower
and the two helicopters ahead of you. Fall back into the seaways.
*AUTOSAVE*
Drive into the cave to end the second part of this mission.
PART THREE
----------
*AUTOSAVE*
Park the Interceptor near the submarine.
*AUTOSAVE*
On foot, walk up the stairs to reach the top platform and eliminate all four
commandos there. The fourth one is hiding on the route you'll take later.
Place the first bomb where one of the commando was standing behind and
another one in the vessels then move forward to that route.
Clear out the next area and plant the last two bomb marked by a green
highlight.
As a 30 second countdown begins, take the elevator near you and return to
the Interceptor before it blows.
NOTE
----
You can take the longer route to return to the Interceptor but you'll waste
a lot of time to do that.
*AUTOSAVE*
While heading out of the cave, destroy the speedboats and jump of the ramp
on your right. Move into the bay and destroy two helicopters attacking you.
*AUTOSAVE*
Kryo will send you a weapons crate to go through it. Destroy another two
helicopters while crossing through the mines. Hit the ramp as you go
forward.
Activate Salvo mode to destroy the two helicopters with the defense station
and the communications tower in front of you. Destroy some of them if you
missed. This are the last structures you'll destroy here to complete the
secondary objectives.
Release the oil slick as the Interceptor has added a new evasive weapon to
spin NOSTRA out of control. Destroy the last two helicopters head of you
before dropping down the path.
NOTE
----
The helicopter in front of the end of the path was not meant to be destroyed
as it is scripted to do something later.
*AUTOSAVE*
Ride the Interceptor through the tunnel fast while keeping the distance away
from the helicopter's missile.
As you reach near the rubble into the next tunnel, slow down the bike and
avoid the trip lasers. There are more in front of you so be careful.
When the distance meter is out, you can wipe off your sweat to take the time
to dodge the last few trip lasers until you end this mission.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.4 MISSION 04: SURPRISE ATTACK
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission Objectives:
- Meet Wallace in the conference room.
- Secure the robotics lab.
- Defend Dr. Adamson while he shuts down the machines.
- Secure the defense lab.
- Use the laser to clear the mainframe blocking the exit.
- Secure the propulsion lab.
- Meet Murphy in the security office.
- Find a way to get past the security turrets.
- Grab weapons and ammo from the closet.
- Follow Murphy to the weapons lab.
- Use the turret gun to defend the weapons lab.
- Secure the vehicle lab.
- Find the controls to clear the flooded tunnel.
- Secure the vehicle bay.
- Defeat the Nostra spider tank.
- Make your way to the reactor.
- Defend the reactor while the scientists shut it down.
- Get to the surface and meet Wallace.
- Meet Wallace at the helipad.
Secondary Objectives:
- Recover the (6) IES tech.
Challenges:
- Complete the mission in time. (18:54)
You may need to dash some enemies although they need to be eliminated in
order to perform some actions without being interrupted. There are some
defense objective that you should not worry about, but you have to finish
them quickly to save time. Eliminate only one enemy who is blocking your
way to the exit point in the last part of this mission.
- Throw (2) enemies into the reactor.
- Throw (2) enemies into the fan.
- Blow up the (3) fuel tanks.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
PART ONE
--------
*AUTOSAVE*
Walk into the scanner and wait there. After the security has check Alex,
follow that guy into the conference room to see Wallace.
As the place has been wrecked down, pick up the IES tech on the table and
exit the room. Go right to help the agents finish the two enemies. Now,
return to where you came from and take the left door instead to enter the
robotics lab.
*AUTOSAVE*
In the lab, pick up the weapons from the locker and protect Dr. Adamson
from the hacked drone turrets while he disables them. There are shields you
can take cover for a short time. After the machines have been disabled,
refill your ammunitions from the locker near the door you about to enter
later. As the door is unlocked, run through it.
*AUTOSAVE*
Throw a grenade ahead of you to take out the two NOSTRA commandos quickly
and enter the next room into the defense lab.
Clear out the lab and pick up the IES tech near the shield controls. As you
control the shields, position all three of them to have the laser destroy
the mainframe server that is blocking the next area. The laser will fire
every few seconds to you see whether it reaches there.
After it has been destroyed. Run into the next area while being attacked by
the commandos.
*AUTOSAVE*
Since a jet is blocking the main entrance to the propulsion lab, take the
left door instead to the lab's control room. Shoot the commandos from your
position. After you're done, activate the jet controls and deactivate Jet 1
that is blocking the entrance. Refill your ammunitions and restore Alex's
health first before exiting this room.
In the lab, control the crane from the middle control panel and move it
to the designated position, then launch the missile to destroy the door to
the next area.
Open the nearby locker to refill more ammunitions and enter the door you've
just blasted.
NOTE
----
If you haven't cleared the top platform, NOSTRA commandos will interrupt
you from controlling the crane by shooting at you.
*AUTOSAVE*
While making your way downstairs, pick up the sub-machine guns on your
right and open the cabinet to heal Alex. Keep hugging the right wall to
reach the door into the next room.
*AUTOSAVE*
In this room, the turrets have been hacked to shoot you. Run from the right
side of the room until you reach the door to the security office.
Clear out the room and pick up the IES tech nearby the armory. Murphy will
appear from that door. Go inside the armory and refill everything. Don't
forget to reload your weapons first. Then exit the office and into the door
across you until you first the first part of this mission.
PART TWO
--------
*AUTOSAVE*
In the weapons lab, open the cabinet behind the turret to pick up some
mines. Place them on the doors down the path and the wall on the right
corner. Now, walk up to the top platform to meet the scientists.
Wait for a moment until Murphy alerts their presence. As the wall was
destroyed. Clear them all out while protecting the Darpa scientists. Pick
up their weapons if you must to take them all out.
The two heavy commandos will appear from the doors. Use your grenades to
blow them up to defeat easily. If they're still standing, keep firing on
their heads until they're down.
Head through that door and continue moving forward.
NOTE
----
Using the turret is optional. But because it is unique and launches 10
rockets, it is very recommended that you use it instead to save ammunitions.
You can even take out the two heavy commandos with its rockets. However,
most commandos will take cover so you need to exit the turret and take them
out manually to save time.
*AUTOSAVE*
On your way to the vehicles lab, clear out the two commandos threatening a
scientist in the hallway. Wallace will inform you that the tunnel is flooded.
Enter the door at the end of this hallway. Clear out another two commandos
inside and turn the valves to drain the entrance. Open the cabinet to heal
Alex and return to the hallway. There are two commandos waiting for you to
defeat them.
*AUTOSAVE*
As you enter the tunnel, dash through the turrets while reaching the vehicles
lab. Clear out the enemies coming out from the door in front of you. There
will be about five turret drones who will be coming out from the ventilation
ducts above. Destroy them and refill your ammunitions and heal Alex from the
cabinet and locker nearby. Enter the door where they came out to proceed.
NOTE
----
The enemies will sometimes be in the vehicle lab when you first enter.
*AUTOSAVE*
Open any of the lockers in the vehicle bay to pick up the bazooka. As the
spider tank enters the bay, destroy them and dodge its attacks. There are
explosive barrels that will damage greatly to it. After it has been
destroyed successfully, wait for the garage door to open. Go inside and into
the small crawl on the right to enter the next area.
*AUTOSAVE*
Go upstairs and shoot the three fuel tanks beneath the platform. Enter the
door on your right into the fan room.
Throw the commando into the fan and pick up the IES tech. Rotate the catwalk
and shoot the incoming commando from the higher platform. Throw another
commando standing in front of the door to the reactor lab into the fan. Move
forward into the reactor lab. Open the cabinet to heal Alex on the way if
you must.
*AUTOSAVE*
Near the reactor lab, pick up the IES tech on your left and open the lockers
to refill your ammunitions. Take out three enemies near the reactor and go
downstairs.
As you defend the reactor, go back upstairs and clear out the commandos
shooting at it. Then, return downstairs and eliminate all incoming enemies.
Throw at least two commandos down the reactor from this level.
After the scientists shuts down the reactor, there are more commandos coming
out from the other door you'll enter later.
NOTE
----
There is a nearby room in this level that you can refill your ammunitions
and heal Alex.
*AUTOSAVE*
Enter the door where the last enemies came out and clear the rest out. As
you head upstairs into the storage room, hold up at the corner because
there are two turrets near the next room. From behind while inactive,
destroy them. Then, destroy the next two turrets in the storage room from
behind the door. Finally, destroy the last turret on the other side of the
storage room from behind the nearby pillar.
Now run into the shower room and pick up the last IES tech on the bench
while clearing up the room except the heavy commando. There is a cabinet
that you can heal Alex if badly injured.
Run up the stairs and shoot the two commandos coming out ahead of you.
Defeat the heavy commando if you can. Head up into the elevator and call it.
Stay down while the elevator is coming because there are enemies around you
from the other side of the window. As the elevator arrives, go inside to
finish this part of the mission.
NOTE
----
On your way to the elevator is a door on your right that you can take cover.
It is unknown what kind of room is this but it was probably made for this
reason.
PART THREE
----------
*AUTOSAVE*
Go near the elevator doors and shoot the enemy above you. Turn around and
move that heavy commando blocking your way out. Don't worry about the others
shooting at you. Enter outside to where the IES agents are shooting the
helicopter to end this mission.
NOTE
----
A green gas will spread out this area if anybody hits the chemical storage
located on the right side from the starting position.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.5 MISSION 05: COUNTERATTACK
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission Objectives:
- Locate the entrance to the Nostra base.
- Take out the Nostra turret position.
- Place the nav beacon on the AA gun.
- Use the spider tank to secure the airfield.
- Locate the upper entrance to the Nostra base.
- Use the turret gun to stop the Nostra attack.
- Defend the crashed helicopter.
- Take out the Nostra snipers.
- Place a nav beacon on the defense cannon.
- Locate the Interceptor.
- Disable the security system.
- Defeat Zora and her henchmen.
- Destroy the gate to proceed.
- Recover the Interceptor.
Secondary Objectives:
- Mark (3) rally points.
- Place (2) bombs on weapons cache.
Challenges:
- Complete the mission in time. (14:23)
Accomplishing this mission should be easy. Just be careful of confined
spaces.
- Blow up the bridge.
The bridge they meant is the first part of this mission where the
sniper is.
- Shoot down the Nostra helicopter.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
PART ONE
--------
*AUTOSAVE*
Move forward until you reached the wooden stairs. Follow it up and clear out
three commandos nearby. Then, shoot another two commando shooting near the
bunker entrance. Enter the bunker to continue.
*AUTOSAVE*
Inside the bunker, eliminate the commando you first meet him at the door.
Then head to the left door and clear out the hallway as much as you can.
Enter the door behind the boxes at the near end of the corridor where you'll
see a green highlight on the weapons cache. Place the bomb on it and
continue moving forward.
Down the corridor, a grenade will be thrown near you. No matter what they
do, clear up this hallway and check each rooms for ammunitions and medkits.
The last room in this corridor is a weapons cache. Place the bomb on it and
head to the bunker's exit through the stairs.
*AUTOSAVE*
Take cover behind the wall and eliminate all commandos coming from above and
from above nearby the AA gun. After clearing them out, approach the AA gun
and place the beacon marked by the green highlight.
After the cutscene, don't go forward yet. Instead, go back to where the AA
gun was and place a rally point in that area. Now move forward down the path
until you reach an unmanned spider tank.
Get in the vehicle and eliminate three spider tanks in the area. Don't forget
to take cover.
*AUTOSAVE*
When everything's clear, exit the vehicle and mark a rally point in this area.
Enter the silo to continue.
*AUTOSAVE*
When you enter the silo, an IES agent will lock the doors. Pick up the
bazooka and the medkits in front of you and go upstairs. A helicopter will
arrive to shoot you. Use the bazooka to destroy it to the ground.
Continue the path until you'll see three IES agents defending the area with
a machine gun on it. Take the agent's place in manning the turret and
eliminate all NOSTRA commandos in front of you until a helicopter arrives
to clear out these annoying hideous pests.
Exit the turret and clear off the remaining commandos. Mark a rally point
here and continue to the next path.
Eliminate the commandos on the other side of the river before entering the
caves.
*AUTOSAVE*
Head forward and shoot the commandos in your way until you'll meet an IES
agent ordering you to take out the sniper in front of you. Pick up the
bazooka in front of you and blow the bridge above the bridge.
Continue moving forward through the tunnel to end this part of the mission.
PART TWO
--------
*AUTOSAVE*
Follow the path into the vehicle workshop. The civilians will run into the
door where the enemies will come out from that door later. Throw a grenade
as you enter that door then exit and wait for them to get blown up by it.
Do this many times until the defense cannon will blast off the wall of the
workshop.
From that broken wall, shoot the enemies from the higher platform in front
of you. Now continue down the path to the bridge.
*AUTOSAVE*
As you're on the bridge, take cover from the incoming grenade. Then, shoot
the two incoming commandos from the door. Enter the door and turn left into
the bridge.
Shoot the enemy in front of you and clear out the hallway into the defense
cannon room. Watch out for the recoil. Make sure you're in the clear to
cross the cannon so that you can place the beacon on the left side of the
cannon.
Take the right door and throw him out of there. Shoot the barrel from your
visibility when walking up the stairs to blow out two commandos in front of
you. Continue moving inside.
Outside again, clear of the enemies and attempt to throw a grenade into the
open view on your right. Head into the door to your left and take out the
enemy inside there. Heal Alex if needed. This mission is full of beating.
Enter the next room to proceed.
*AUTOSAVE*
Stay down and follow the safe path through the lasers where it will open
the path for you to reach the security switch to disable the trap. Head
into the next area and take down the two enemies on your way. Ignore the
civilians. Head into the door on your left at the end of the area to end
this part of the mission.
PART THREE
----------
*AUTOSAVE*
Shoot Zora's henchmen first before defeating her. Then, shoot the lights
beneath the platform shown earlier. If you run out of ammo, there are some
weapons standing by on the right side of the platform. After partially
defeating her, Zora will run off.
An elevator will bring down two Nostra commandos. Beat them out and enter
the elevator. On your way to the next area in this platform, throw them out
of the platform until you reach the door.
*AUTOSAVE*
Shoot the enemies on the top platform and pick up the bazooka on the right
behind the boxes. Destroy the humvee blocking your path and proceed.
Take the left into the open area and run through the stairs until you see
the truck's rear ready to load out a few NOSTRA commandos. Take them out
and plant the bomb near the gate. After five seconds, enter the elevator and
bring it down.
*AUTOSAVE*
In front of you is a cabinet and some weapons. Fill them up for Alex and
clear out all the enemies in the underground railways. Watch out for incoming
trains. As you reach near the Interceptor, shoot the remaining enemies
behind you until the mission ends.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.6 MISSION 06: ON THE RUN
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission Objectives:
- Find the controls to open the gate.
- Escape in the Interceptor.
- Find a way to lower the bridge.
- Turn the pipes to put out the fire.
- Find the controls to open the warehouse door.
- Find the controls to lower the Interceptor.
Secondary Objectives:
- Destroy the (2) Nostra comm towers.
- Destroy the (4) Nostra transport trucks.
Challenges:
- Complete the mission in time. (08:59)
You'll be using rockets in this mission since NOSTRA vehicles are now
more aggressive than usual. You should also try to speed up when on foot.
- Shoot down the barrels.
- Shoot down the (3) pipes.
- Shoot down the (2) water towers.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
PART ONE
--------
*AUTOSAVE*
Clear out the commandos in front of you and proceed to the gate's switch to
open it.
*AUTOSAVE*
Get inside the Interceptor quickly before more NOSTRA commandos will attack
you. Drive through the opened gate and follow the road.
Destroy every transport trucks you see in this game and do your best to
destroy every vehicles you see on the road. Use oil slick and smokescreens
to loose their control in pursuing you. Kryo will send you a weapon crate
in front of you. Make sure you bring the Interceptor inside to restore its
condition and refill ammunitions. Keep driving hard until you reach near the
bridge.
NOTE
----
There is a shortcut to the tunnel on the right of the road you can take.
*AUTOSAVE*
On foot, shoot the planks on each of the water towers as marked by a yellow
reticule to drop them down into the two NOSTRA commandos. Enter the post and
down the sewers. Eliminate the enemies defending there until you reach the
bridge maintenance building. Place the bomb inside and go back into the
Interceptor. In the post, shoot three commandos and return to the
Interceptor.
*AUTOSAVE*
Drive through the bridge and destroy any incoming NOSTRA vehicles behind
you. You'll see a manufacturing plant called "Orton" where it's leaking
high temperature liquid. Keep driving forward until you reach the ramp of
the trailer while more vehicles are approaching you.
NOTE
----
The oncoming trucks you see inside Orton are not part of the mission since
they're probably civilians.
Out of the factory, the Interceptor will detect multiple targets after
passing the bridge. Enter Salvo mode to take out NOSTRA's communications
tower, the transport truck and other threats near you.
While following the road, be cautious with incoming enemies coming out from
the walls. Keep the Interceptor alive until you'll see Kryo sending you a
weapons crate to let you drive through it.
As you head down, the Interceptor will detect multiple targets again. Use
the Salvo weapon to take out the last communications town as well as other
nearby threats. Continue down the road until you end the first part of this
mission.
PART TWO
--------
*AUTOSAVE*
Shoot the two drones from the window and approach near the valves to
activate the sprinklers. Turn off the water and connect the pivots until the
sprinklers can put out the fire on the right side of the elevator. Move
forward to the stairs on the left corner.
*AUTOSAVE*
Clear out the incoming commandos as you approach the stairs. Eliminate the
commando on the stairs and take out the two commandos at the end of the
stairs. From the window, shoot the four hanging pipes in front of you and
shoot the planks on your left to bring down the barrels. Head into the next
stairs where there are two enemies coming out from there.
After going down the stairs, eliminate the enemies who are hiding behind
the objects and on the stairs. Take the next stairs to go to the ground
floor.
In this floor, clear out the enemies first. Then, bring the elevator down
with the Interceptor. Enter the control room near the stairs and open the
warehouse door. Enter the Interceptor from the back and drive out of the
warehouse.
*AUTOSAVE*
Through the tunnel, try to loose them or destroy them. As Kryo drops off
another weapons crate, go through it and go easy on the Interceptor until
you reach NOSTRA's lame roadblock.
As the helicopter tries to stop you, keep driving forward to the elevated
road to end this mission.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.7 MISSION 07: CLEANING UP
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission Objectives:
- Follow the IES agent to the sewer entrance.
- Use the sewer to infiltrate the safe house.

Take the left to the platform where NOSTRA commandos will be shooting at
you. Wipe them off and go down the stairs.
Shoot the commando from the higher platform and pick up a bazooka to
destroy the spider tank in this area. Shoot another commando at the right
platform you'll enter later and head up the left platform.
A commando will shoot the explosive barrel near you. Just cross through the
pipeline that connects to the right platform. In the pipeline, there is one
commando you need to shoot him. Go down the right platform and enter the
pipeline on the last left.
Near the exit a grenade will be thrown so take cover. Shoot the commando
at the exit and another one on the far platform in front of you. Pick up
the bazooka below and take cover behind the left platform. Shoot the
commando on the right platform first then destroy the spider tank.
Pick up another bazooka and head down to the elevator. It will bring up
another spider tank so destroy immediately before it can shoot you. Run
up the stairs to go to the other platform. There will be other enemies
who will be running through you but ignore them until you reach a small
corridor.
*AUTOSAVE*
Close the defense door and shoot the enemy hiding from the far corner in
front of you. Place the bomb on NOSTRA defense and take cover. Then, open
the cabinet to heal Alex.
As you exit to the right, shoot the enemy from the other building above
you and shoot the water tower as you run down the stairs. This should help
clear up the enemies coming out from the water grate.
When you're down there, two drones will appear and attempt to shoot you.
Destroy them and stand by near the switch to open the grate. More drones
and enemies will appear in this area, so take them out first. Then, open
the water grate.
Inside the grate, you'll see some drones flying to the left. Take cover
behind the wall and destroy them. Then, run up to the left platform and

and enter the next area to the right, then the left.
In this area, shoot the commando from the right platform. As you cross to
the other platform, two more commandos will approach at the platform you've
came from. Eliminate them and move forward through this platform. Be
careful, they may hurt you hard if you touch the wheels. Dodge the heavy
commando and enter the elevator.
Open the cabinet and the locker to refill your ammunitions and restore
Alex's health. Then, head up to the new area.

spider tank. Then, run down the area and destroy another NOSTRA defense.

be splashed out.

upstairs. Follow the platform while more commandos and a heavy commando
will arrive below. Ignore them and keep going upstairs.
Shoot the two enemies coming down from above and another one near the
turret. Take out the commando who is controlling the turret.
*AUTOSAVE*

commando who is manning the turret on the left. Now, wait for the
helicopter to arrive until you can shoot it.

the helicopter that just got crashed.
*AUTOSAVE*

vents. Enter the third vent and head down to the switch on the left to
open the door on the right side of the vent.
Two enemies will appear. Clear them out and enter the door to the next
area. Shoot the enemies on the platform and take cover from the first
turret. There is a switch to open the steam valve that should blow him
off.
Shoot the other commando who is manning the turret far ahead of you
before taking out the rest. Head up the stairs and take out the last
enemy in this area.
*AUTOSAVE*
Head inside the room and destroy the NOSTRA defense. Ignore the heavy
commando and enter the next room. Pick up the weapons on your left and
enter the vent where a civilian is standing near it.
In the vents, clear out the enemies until you reach a wider area. Shoot
the commando and the fan behind him to enter the next room. Destroy the
last NOSTRA defense near you and run to another area with the elevator in
front of you.
*AUTOSAVE*
Call the elevator and open the weapons locker near you to pick or fill
up the ammunitions. There will enemies approaching from the far left of

in. Make sure you shoot them first as they open. Check the garages to
ensure there aren't any more of them. Then, exit the vehicle and beat up
the commando coming out from that door before entering it.
*AUTOSAVE*
Fight your way while you're heading down the stairs. After you're in the
clear, open the lockers to fill up your ammunitions before entering the
next area on the right from the stairs.
*AUTOSAVE*

commandos will try to take you down as you do so. Try to take out some of
them while doing that. After you're done, enter the new area that will
take you to the stairs.
*AUTOSAVE*
Take out all of the enemies on the stairway below until you reach down the
hallway.
*AUTOSAVE*
Take out the last remaining enemies inside and open the locker and the
cabinet to fill up your needs before going into the hangar.
*AUTOSAVE*
Defeating Marduk may take time, but you shouldn't hang around the area
too long as the plane will take off soon. Use your frag grenades to take
him down and shoot the crates above him. Red crates are explosives that
will damage him greatly. If he carries one of them, destroy it before he
can get the chance to do so.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*AUTOSAVE*

out all enemies and blow out the two cabin doors on each sides. As you're
near to where all the enemies come from, shoot them all until you can enter
the next area.
Now, get out of the plane by running back down to where you started. Duck
down all three crates as told by the game. When you reach to the end,
proceed to the door to end this mission and the game.

and a 50% health pack for Alex since there's no medical cabinet in this

the challenge. Some of the mines may move around or float around, so watch
yourself.
Throughout the race, you will see some markers that will aid you to finish
the race faster and cleaner. The green markers in the game will boost the
Interceptor to drive faster while the red markers will restore the

Finishing this race the first time will bring a new challenge the next time

vehicles.
Always make sure to be on the road by enabling tire spikes to take down
enemy vehicles from the sides who will want to put you out of the road,
losing a life. You only have three extra lives, so try not to lose them all
to aim for the highest score.
On the river, a weapons crate will be dropped down so you can through it to

- The autosave message at the title screen was shortened on the PAL version.
- The main menu background video starts off with the artwork of the mission
"Cleaning Up" in the NTSC version while the orange version of the
Interceptor speeding was used in the PAL version.
- Only one of the three bonus videos is present in the PAL version. Mainly
the attract video. However through the game files, there is a trailer video
that was not used in the game as it also includes the ESRB rating
notification in the beginning, which is probably the reason it went unused.
Only the "Rock Mo-Cap" video is available on the NTSC version.
- While the NTSC version only has the English language, the PAL version
includes other languages that you can choose through the PlayStation 2's
configuration settings (for European consoles only).
- Special on the PAL version is the improved autosave feature where it
notes the player that the game is saving before the next cutscene is
played in a mission.

8.0 FAQS (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: My profile has been corrupted after loading it.
A: The cause of the problem is probably because you remove the memory card,
controller or reset/switch off the console. Other than that, you've
probably done it by mistake during gameplay where it is autosaving the
game. However this problem was notably seen in the NTSC version since the
autosave system is a bit odd compared to the PAL version.
Q: I'm seeing missing buildings during the mission "Intercepted".
A: This happens sometimes in the game and it is not always considered to be a
disc problem.
Q: The "Play Game" selection has disappeared after finishing the game.
A: This is intentional. If you want to start a new game, you will have to
create a new profile.
Q: Are there any cheats for this game?
A: So far, there aren't.
Q: During the mission "The Escape", I'm still curious about where Karin is
hiding when the Interceptor was transformed into a motorcycle.
A: This obviously a goof. Otherwise, she might be under the motorcycle, which
is just too risky for her.
Q: What happened to the movie they've promised?
A: They shut it down after passing through development hell. In addition,
"The Rock" kicked himself out of the project.

10.0 CLOSING
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once again, this guide was written with all the hard effort I made. It's a
start actually for people to re-write this guide in the future. Maybe there
won't be since the quality of this game did not appeal most of the gamers
despite being cheesy and all. But that's because I'm curious why no one's
writing for it.
