    INTRODUCTION

This is the first FAQ I had the privilege in taking part of as a "student in
the art of FAQing" although I went into game reviewing instead at the time.
The game is called Sonic Labyrinth which served as one of the black sheep in
the Sonic Universe.

       STORY
o---------------------o
Robotnik has stolen your sneakers and left you with some slowdown ones. He
cannot run or jump. All he can do is walk and spin dash. He has to go through
four Labyrinths with 3 Acts each and get the keys to proceed and after every
three acts, he faces a boss.

        TIPS
o---------------------o

The keys are colored red, blue and white. Some are loose and some are encased
in enemies. Once you get all three keys, head to the exit to finish the level.
It's not all that simple, there are some tricky areas.

The directions like north, south, etc... indicate which direction on the eight
direction D-pad to go

up: north
up/left: northwest
left: west
down/left: southwest
down: south
down/right: southeast
right: east
up/right: northeast

~Act 1~
Go southeast and obtain the white key then head southwest over where the
beginning of the level was then head northeast to the spring. The blue key is
in the northeast section of this area and the red key is guarded by an enemy
which you must kill to get it. Now head for the exit in the northwest.

~Act 2~
Head all the way southeast for the white key then to the northeast is a powerup
item. Now head back west and roll northeast up the hill, then northwest, then
southwest to a set of springs that lead to the red key, before you drop to the
southeast, head back to where you went up the hill leading to the key and go
northeast where that flipper is for the blue key then go back to the area where
the red key was and fall down to where the goal is.

~Act 3~
Go northeast, then northwest, then at the top of the hill go southwest for the
white key. Head north and turn northwest and kill the enemy for the blue key
then go northeast, then northwest at the top of the hill for the red key, the
exit is southwest from here.

~Boss~
After rolling down the hill and gathering the rings, you face the boss. Dodge
the enemies or kill them as they appear then when the boss comes, roll into him
as you avoid the flying hands. The boss teleports to a different spot then re-
peats its pattern. The fist can't hurt you as long as you are spinning. The
boss falls after seven hits.

~Act 1~
Enter the cannon and it will shoot you northwest into another cannon, let it
shoot you northeast for the white key then let it shoot you southwest, spring
back up and head northeast and northwest again and kill the crab enemy for the
blue key. Head down to the southern area where a black blob springs you to the
cannon, let it shoot you northwest and take the cannon there which shoots you
northeast already then let the next cannon shoot you northeast for you to get
the red key. Head back to the cannon again and let it shoot you northeast then
shoot back to it, this time you can shoot southwest and go to the exit.

~Act 2~
Go northwest and kill the enemy for the blue key, enter the top door and go
northeast for the white key, spring down, enter the door and re-enter the door
you just came out of. Enter the second (middle door), then take the second door
from the right in this area too and spring down and get the red key then spring
back up. The exit is directly north of here.

~Act 3~
Go southwest and fall southeast for the white, then fall southwest. Start to
zigzag down to the southeast and you'll see the red key surrounded by spikes.
Spin into it to get it safely. Zigzag all the way up till where you dropped
earlier then drop southwest this time. Zigzag southward till you get to the
black spring which lands you into a rocket that leads to the blue key.

If you hold 1, 2, and right when in the rocket, you are blasted to a switch
for you to enter the bonus level. This must be done for the good ending.
The exit is in the northwest area.

~Boss~
Roll down and get rings but watch for spikes. In the boss area, avoid the crabs
and when the crab boss appears, hit it when its pearl is exposed. A few hits
later and the emerald is yours.

~Act 1~
Now here is the level where you start falling to your doom. Head southeast and
kill the enemy for the white key then go up the ramp and go up the ramp and go
southwest for the blue key. Go back to where you got the white key and head
southwest and ride the star platform to the southeast then go southwest and
take two teleporters and get the red key. Drop southwest and head to where you
saw the star ride and ignore it and continue southwest to where the exit is.

~Act 2~
Ride northeast and take the teleporter to the blue key. Now ride northwest then
southwest to the teleporter and get the red key which is directly west, ride
southwest then southwest again for the white key and the exit is right there.

~Act 3~
Just remember that the goal is next to the start. Go all the way southwest for
the blue key then go southeast and ride the platform to the northeast. The red
key is directly southwest from here. Ride back and head to the southeastmost
point of the stage and wait for a platform to arrive. It will take you to a
teleporter. Kill the enemy for the white key. Ride the platform southeast and
just exit. You probably would have been stuck on this level but if you knew
what to do, then the stage was too easy.

~Boss~
Roll down the hill as usual and there are spike chains to watch out for. In the
boss area, stay in the upper or lower side sections till the boss appears, when
the boss moves forward, hit it in the back and go back to the safe spot. The
boss will fall easily.

~Act 1~
Go northwest then northeast at the intersection, then northwest for the blue
key. Head back to the intersection and go southwest for the white key. Go back
to the intersection and go northwest and zigzag all the way north and get the
red key which is guarded by spikes. Go back down then at the intersection here,
go northwest to the exit.

~Act 2~
Go southwest and enter the second door from the left (first one you see) and
the blue key is in the corner. Now exit and go to the other door next to it and
get the powerup and go northwest then southwest for the red key. Enter the
teleporters, and enter the door which is northwest. Go south and enter the
first door you see then head east and enter the door then zigzag north to
another door and don't fall on the way. Get the key which is west and go back
through the path you took earlier and enter the exit to the northwest of the
last teleporter. You get a cool scene of released birds.

~Act 3~
Enter the first door to the southwest then as you go down to the waterfall,
hand southeast to the ride the current to the blue key then zoom back and enter
the door across the intersection and spring down, zigzag to the south and get
the white key and spring down and enter the northwest door.

Try to make it to the door near the start of the stage and drop down southwest
and go northwest and enter the first northeastern door after the ramp and ride
the current to the last key and enter the door. No go down the waterfall that
led to the blue key but fall all the way down and enter the northwest door then
make your way all the way south and enter the exit.

~Boss~
Let's skip to the boss shall we? Avoid the bombs then when the boss appears,
avoid the bombs it drops and spin dash into it as it lowers itself down. After
seven hits, another boss appears. Move north or south to avoid its shots easier
then spin into it as it lowers itself. Seven more hits and you win.

At the Title Screen: up 2x, right 3x, down 6x, left 9x.

Bonus Stage:
In the cannon, hold 1, 2, and right to blast to the switch.
