============================== 3: Weapons =====================================
===============================================================================

Please note that the info for this games comes from the manual of Rising Sun
Therefor, it is possible that figures are wrong for the real weapons.
Scottie TheNerd has given me info on these weapons, which should be more
correct then what the manual says.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
                            3.1: Pistols
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

 3.1.1: Welrod
 --------------

  Firing mechanism: single
  Caliber: .32
  Magazine size: 1
  Muzzle velocity: unknown
About the weapon: Only 2800 of this pistol have ever been manufactured.
This weapon is also called the hitmans pistol due to it's
stealth capacity. It's effective up to about 15 meters.
Usage: Do not go into a close combat fight with this unless you've found
yourself some good cover. Although this weapon provides you with a
one-hit-kill, reloading it takes hours, which will get you killed.
So, use it only on enemies when you want to maintain stealth, and
you really want to take out that certain enemy.

 3.1.2: M1911-pistol
 -------------------

  Firing mechanism: semi-automatic
  Caliber: .45
  Magazine size: 7
  Muzzle velocity: 250 m/s
About the weapon: First introduced in 1911, this weapon is based upon a
model a Browning. It has proved to be very effective, and
resistant to dirt, mod,... so this makes this weapon very
                    trustworthy.
Usage: Use it only if you need to save ammo, or if your out of ammo for
         any other weapon.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
                            3.2: Rifles
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

 3.2.1: Springfield '03
 ----------------------

  Firing mechanism: bolt-Action
  Caliber: .30-06
  Magazine size: 5
  Muzzle velocity: 855 m/s
About the weapon: This weapon is very accurate and perfect for snipers.
It was withdrawn because it couldn't provide the quantity
of firepower needed by the Army.
Usage: Use only to take enemies out from a distance. Never go into a close
         combat fight with this baby.

 3.2.2: M1 Garand
 ----------------

  Firing mechanism: semi-automatic
  Caliber: .30-06
  Magazine size: 8
  Muzzle velocity: 855 m/s
About the weapon: This weapon is just what the army is needed. So, this has
become the standard weapon for the infantry (Later on in
the war that is.) This weapon is easy to assemble and
maintain. This weapon was a very reliable weapon.
                    And therefor everyone's favorite.
Usage: This can be used anywhere. However, keep in mind that it is not wise
to go into close combat with this weapon if you only got half a clip
left. Reloading in de middle of a battel will most likely get you
         killed.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
                            3.3: Sub Machine Guns
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

3.3.1: SMG Sten Mk II (with silencer)
 -------------------------------------

  Firing mechanism: automatic
  Caliber: 9 mm
  Magazine size: 32
  Muzzle velocity: 380 m/s
About the weapon: First released in 1941, it proved to be very efficient do
to the fact that it was cheap, easy to assemble. Very
                    popular with the French resistance.
Usage: Close combat weapon really. Not really that powerful, but the clip
size makes up for it. Recoil is limited, which would make it possible
to take out enemies from quite a distance.

 3.3.2: M1 SMG Thompson
 ----------------------

  Firing mechanism: automatic
  Caliber: .45
  Magazine size: 20
  Muzzle velocity: 280 m/s
About the weapon: This weapon was designed after World War 1, with the
purpose to "sweep" the trenches. This weapon has
succesfully combined heavy fire with a relative light gun
                    with an automatic ability.
The weapon is very reliable in mud, dirt,...
Usage: Close combat. This baby will save your ass more then once. It's very
powerfull and accurate in close combat. I suggest you don't try to
         use it to 'snipe'.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
                            3.4: Machine Guns
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

 3.4.1: type 11 LMG
 ------------------

  Firing mechanism: automatic
  Caliber: 6.5 mm
  Magazine size: 30
  Muzzle velocity: 745 m/s
About the weapon: This weapon was based upon a French model, and has
magazines on both the left and right side. The weapon is
very sensitive jams easly. Though, it is much more
                    reliable than it's previous version.
Usage: Close combat, and good for a small distance. So, perfect for clearing
         small rooms or hallways.

 3.4.2: Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR)
 -------------------------------------

  Firing mechanism: automatic
  Caliber: .30-06
  Magazine: 20
  Muzzle velocity: 855 m/s
About the weapon: The first model of this machine gun was developed in the
first World War. It was more than loved for it's
effectiveness, high accuracy and firepower. It has proved
to be reliable in tight situations.
Usage: Perfect if you want to clear a group of enemies. If you want
firepower, then this is your man... err, gun. It is quite accurate
from a distance. But if you have a better weapon to take out enemies
from great distances, then take the other weapon.

 3.4.3: type 99 LMG
 ------------------

  Firing mechanism: automatic
  Caliber: 7.7 mm
  Magazine size: 30
  Muzzle velocity: 700 m/s
About the weapon: This weapon was first released in 1939. It's a lot more
powerful than the other model and the magazines are
replaced with a big magazine on top of the gun.
The firingmechanism has been updated, making the gun far
                    more reliable.
Usage: Close combat, and good for a small distance. So, perfect for clearing
         small rooms or hallways.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
                            3.5: Grenades
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

 3.5.1: Type 97 handgrenade
 --------------------------

About the weapon: This grenade is a part of the standard Japanes armoury.
Quite powerful, but takes a bit to long before it
                    explodes.
Usage: Use this to clear out a room, or to distract the enemy. Be carefull
because sometimes enmies will throw this back at you.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
                            3.6: Heavy weapons
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

 3.6.1: Winchester 1893 shotgun
 ------------------------------

  Firing mechanism: Pomp-action
  Caliber: 12 gauge
  Magazine size: 8
  Muzzle velocity: N/A
About the weapon: This weapon was designed, again, by John Browning. With
it's short barrel, it is very effective for close combat.
Usage: Close combat only. And make sure you get the foe with one shot.
You are pretty screwed if enemies can get away from you because the
further away they get from you, the less damage this weapon will
         cause.

 3.6.2: M9A1 Bazooka
 -------------------

  Firing mechanism: single
  Caliber: 6 cm explosive rounds
  Magazine size: 1
  Muzzle velocity: 83 m/s
About the weapon: This weapon was named after a musical instrument. The
weapon was first used in 1942 by the Americans. It proved
to be very effective. A 6 cm wide explosive shell is
screwed onto the back of the pipe. With the trigger a
electrical pulse is given to the rocket on the explosive
                    shell, causing it to launch.
Usage: Use this only to blow up tanks and stuff. Effective against a group
of enemies to, but that is just wrong man.
