Slot Hook
=========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Slant L1 - Curls X - Crossfield O - Streak
Note: Passing to the two centre recievers quite often results
in an interception.
Recommened for: 3rd + Short
HB Slam
=======
Type: Running Play
Note: Patient running play. Short yardage gains mostly when
using this play.
Recommended for: 1st, 2nd + 4/5/6
PA Rollout
==========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Slant L1 - Crossfield R1 - Curls O - Touchline
Note: Pass to the O reciever if you need to stop the clock.
I find this to be a very successful play.
Recommened for: 3rd + Long, When you need to stop the clock
WR Fade
=======
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Touchline L1- Slant R1 - Curls O - Streak
Note: Highly successful play (except when passing to your RB).
Passing to Circle receiver often results in large gains.
Recommended for: 2nd + Long, 3rd + Very Long
HB Toss Strong
==============
Type: Running Play
Note: This is not a play for getting large yardage. Usually
results in a 4-6 yard gain.
Recommended for: 2nd + short
TE Streak
=========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Streak L1 - Slant X - Streak O - Streak
Note: A TE with excellent hands can make this an exceptional
play. This play is susceptible to sacks because of the
gap in the left of your OL.
Recommended for: 3rd + Long
Double Outs
===========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Crossfield L1 - Touchline X - Touchline
O - Crossfield
Note: Only use this play when you need to stop the clock, as
there are many better plays than this for gaining short
yardage.
Recommended for: To stop clock
HB Sprint
=========
Type: Running Play
Note: A powerful pacey HB can make this a very useful play.
If the HB can break through tackles this will usually
gain you first down. Otherwise expect 3-5 yard gains.
Recommended for: 1st, 2nd + short
Post Corner
===========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Crossfield L1 - Touchline X - Crossfield
O - Touchline
Note: This play can usually net you 10-15 yards. If you pass
it to the circle receiver when he is on his outbound
route, it can sometimes gain you over 20 yards.
Recommended for: 2nd + Long, 3rd + Long
Cross Up
========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Crossfield L1 - Streak X - Crossfield O - Slant
Note: Passing to Square nearly always ensures that the ball
will be batted down. If you wait until he(Square) has
ran crossfield past the OL, you can usually get a catch
and a small run.
Recommended for: 1st
HB Pitch
========
Type: Running Play
Note: Used for small gains, but if you motion your TE to the
left, you can usually pick up more yardage.
Recommended for: 3rd + Short
FL In
=====
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - In/Out L1 - Curls R1 - Crossfield O - Crossfield
Note: Someone must have been taking the wrong tablets when
designing this play - It looks like a 4-year-old just
drew lines on the playbook, but it works spectacularly
well.
Recommended for: 2nd + Long
Double Hook
===========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Curls L1 - Slant X - Slant O - Slant
Note: This play only works about 20%(maybe less) of the time,
and results in many interceptions. Change the page of
the playbook, coz this aint working.
Recommended for: The recycling plant
HB Smash
========
Type: Running Play
Note: Only once in a blue moon will you ever get over 5 yards
with this play. But if you have less than 5 to go, I'd
recommend this. It's like a Saab: doesn't look
spectacular, but is very reliable.
Recommended for: 3rd + Short, 4th + Inches
Corners
=======
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Touchline L1 - Streak X - Streak O - Touchline
Note: The two inside receivers are usually unavailable in
this play, but the outside men can gain you large
yardage and stop the clock.
Recommended for: 3rd + Long
Double Ins
==========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Cross L1 - Crossfield X - Crossfield O - Streak
Note: With this play, patience is a virtue - early passes
nearly always result in the ball being batted down(the
square receiver especially).
Recommended for: 2nd + Short
WR Reverse
==========
Type: Running Play
Note: I love this play! But, on All-Madden mose it usually
results in short losses. Only use this on the easier
difficulty levels and against your friends.
Recommended for: easier levels - 2nd + Short
Double Hitch
============
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Curls L1 - Crossfield X - Crossfield O - Curls
Note: This is a reasonable pla, but only for the inside
recievers. Square never gets it, and waiting for circle
will get you a sacking.
Recommended for: 3rd + short
Ace WR Qk Drop
==============
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Curls L1 - Crossfield X - Crossfield
O - Crossfield
Note: This is an Okay play, just don't depend on it to get
you out of a hole.
Recommended for: 1st
HB Belly Strong
===============
Type: Running Play
Note: This one only works when your WR is motioned right, use
the dive button to increase your short yardage.
Recommended for: 2nd + Short
Dual Drag
=========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Crossfield L1 - Crossfield X - Slant
O - Crossfield
Note: Great play. Leaves the defence guessing. Early passes
work very well.
Recommended for: 2nd + Short
HB Delay
========
Type: Running Play
Note: The delay makes it easy to be tackled. Don't follow the
proposed route, go around the right of your OL and you
can gain more yards than if you went through the middle.
Recommended for: 1st
Corner Post
===========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Curls L1 - Crossfield X - Crossfield
O - Touchline
Note: Well timed passes to L1, X or O can make this an
extremely valuable play. Square is always unavaialable.
Recommended for: 1st
HB Counter
==========
Type: Running Play
Note: This play usually gains around 4 yards, more if you
use the sidestep.
Recommended for: 2nd + Short

Ace Options
===========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Crossfield R1 - Crossfield X - Crossfield

Note: Very good passing play. Will pick you up at least 6
yards.
Recommended for: 1st
Split Belly
===========
Type: Running Play
Note: Reasonable play. Motion your TE to the left to make full
use of this play.
Recommended for: 2nd + Short
FL Corner
=========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Touchline L1 - Slant X - In/Out O - Touchline
Note: A well timed pass to L1 can open up the defence. Don't
bother with X, as he's never open.
Recommended for: 2nd + Long
Ace Slants N Out
================
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Slant L1 - Crossfield X - Crossfield O - Slant
Note: Well-timed passes to the outside recievers is what
this play is all about. Don't use the L1 or X
receivers: This play is better than that.
Recommended for: 3rd + Long
Off Tackle
==========
Type: Running Play
Note: This play will only work if you motion your leftmost
receiver to the right. It will work great if you do so.
Recommended for: 1st, 2nd + Long
FL Stretch
==========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Slant L1 - Slant X - Crossfield O - Streak
Note: This is one of the best plays in the book. The O
receiver is sometimes unavailable, but that doesn't
matter because the others are.
Recommended for: 3rd + long
WR Streaks
==========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Crossfield L1 - Streak X - Crossfield O - Streak
Note: Whenever I do this play, I always seem to gain 15+ yards
with the Square Receiver. The others are good, too.
Recommended for: 3rd + long
HB Power
========
Type: Running Play
Note: Motion the TE to the right, and you'll gain around 5
yards.
Recommended for: 2nd + Short

Note: This play is brilliant, you don't even need motion.
Recommended for: 2nd + Long
Deep Slants
===========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Slant L1 - Slant X - Curl O - Touchline
Note: How fast can you say "Touchdown"? Pass to L1 or Square
to gain 25 yards or more.
Recommended for: 3rd + very long
Ace TE Out
==========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Touchline L1 - Crossfield X - In/Out O - Curl
Note: This is a money play. Two words: "Use" and "It".
Recommended for: 1st
HB Belly Weak
=============
Type: Running Play
Note: This play is no HB Belly Strong, but will gain you 3
yards or so.
Recommended for: 2nd + Short
Ace Play Action
===============
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Touchline R1 - Curl X - Slant O - Crossfield
Note: It's now wonder that these plays are called Ace -
They are!
Recommended for: 2nd + Long, 3rd + long

this play.
Recommended for: 2nd + Long

Note: Another 'Ace' play. No motion needed, just sweet throws.
Recommended for: 2nd + very long
Cross Up
========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Crossfield L1 - Streak X - Streak O - Crossfield
Note: This should be called "Ace Cross Up". Your streaks

Recommended for: 3rd + long

=======
Type: Running Play
Note: Even with motion this play wont get you much yards.
Recommended for: 2nd + Inches
Double Hitch
============
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Touchline L1 - Curl X - Crossfield O - Touchline

PA Rollout
==========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - Crossfield L1 - Curl R1 - Slant O - Touchline

play correctly. L1 is usually unavailable, and wait
for O to come back before passing to him.
Recommended for: 1st
HB Sprint
=========
Type: Running Play
Note: Unless you can break through many tackles, this play
will only net you around 3/4 yards.
Recommended for: 3rd + Inches
PA Drop Ins
===========
Type: Passing Play
Receivers: Sq - In/Out X - Crossfield R1 - Crossfield O - Curl
Note: Highly successful play, but pass to X early to make
full advantage of him.
