Introduction:
This guide has now been upgraded to a full FAQ/Walkthrough.
This guide contains complete move lists and stats for all monsters,
and how to unlock all of them.
In Godzilla: Destroy all Monsters Melee for XBOX/Gamecube,
there is a gallery of pictures. To unlock these you must be playing
in NORMAL or HARD(Hard is reccomended).
This also must be done in either VERSUS or ADVENTURE modes
(In Versus, there must only be one player). Basically you pick the item
and it adds a picture to the gallery. These are neat pictures that you'd
probably like to see if you're a Godzilla fan like myself.
Also this guide gives you strategies and such to survive and become
a better player of the game. All Monster strength, weaknesses, and complete
stats are told. Also there is a guide for dealing with the military
as well. This guide can help you with a lot of things in Godzilla: Destroy all
MonstersMelee for XBOX/Gamecube. Enjoy and thanks for reading.

1. Basics
Ok to start off, Gallery items are found IN-GAME. They look
like a normal pick-up but are
WHITE ATARI LOGOS.They are only found in
the wreckage of a building. So basically, you have
to destroy buildings while fighting off the enemy,
and take the missle fire from the military, in order to
find these items. There are 40 total. When you collect one,
it takes the place of the next "?" in the gallery
(They show the actual picture in the Gamecube version)
There's no specificorder. Just try to collect 40 of them.
Most levels have one. I will go over this later.
Just try to survive long enough to find the pick-up

knocks back harder and allows use of Rage attack once.
Effects dissapear eventually.
Purple Mothra- Summons Mothra on your side. Damages enemy,
but cannot kill him. Mothra will flee if shot at by a beam weapon.
There different modes of play:
VERSUS- (1-2 Players)- Single one-on-one matches.
ADVENTURE-(1 Player)- Fight 8 monsters with 3 lives
SURVIVAL-(1 Player)- Beat as many monsters as you can
until you die.

TEAM BATTLE- (1-4 Players)- Same as Melee except
with any Team combination.
DESTRUCTION-(1-4 Players; No COMS)- Destroy buildings
for points.
2. Move List/Walkthrough
First I explain the Moves for each monster. Then I state, in order,
what Monsters they face in Adventure mode and in what locations.

3. Arenas/Gallery Locations
Ok not all Arenas have a Gallery Item in them. The following do:
-Seattle-Usually Sears Tower
-N. Seattle- Usually Sears Tower
-S. Seattle- Southern End in fat building
-Tokyo- One of the skyscrapers
-Tokyo 2- one of the skyscrapers
-Tokyo 3- Another skyscraper
-San Francisco- Monument
-N. San Francisco- Monument
-E. San Francisco- Fat Building towards side
-Los Angeles- Monument
-Los Angeles 2- Larger building in center
-Los Angeles 3- Monument
-London- Fat Barn in corner
-London 2- Fat Barn in corner
-London 3- Fat Barn by Big Ben
-Osaka- Fat building near highway
-E. Osaka- Fat building Near Highway
-W. Osaka- In city, by Monument
-Monster Island- one of the rock towers NOT part of lava
crater barrier
The Following DO NOT have Gallery Items:
-Mothership
-The Ring (XBOX ONLY)
-Vortaak (XBOX ONLY)
Note: If you do find a Gallery Item in the above three stages,
Email me and tell me which building. I will add you in the
credits. I have never found one there ever so I have assummed
there not to be any there. If you see any inaccurate information,
let me know so I can fix it quickly.
As for XBOX Live DL Content, I don't know if you can
find items there and I doubt that
you can. But if you have downloaded a level and
find a Gallery Item there, email me and I will add it in.
4. Gallery Other Hints
Now this is important. Day and Night DO affect Gallery Items.
Gallery Items are usually larger
and/or landmark buildings. You can never
pick up a building with a Gallery Item (if you use the "Pick up
All Buildings" Code, they won't appear). As the building falls,
you'll see a large funnel of light then the item.
Once you find the correct building in that arena, that is the building
that will always have it (Note: This applies
for that specific arena. Example: If you found it in E. Osaka, that
isn't necessarily the building in Osaka).
THIS IS IMPORTANT. You can 4 Gallery Items per Arena. Two
during the day and two during the night. The buildings though seem
to stay consistant. I was wrong previously. You should either go
through adventure mode with every Monster or just face an AI
in Versus mode in the arena you choose. Also, the pickup
can only be pciked up during the battle. This sounds odd at first
but it's true. If you didn't find the pickup until right before you
beat the enemy, you may be in trouble. Let's say you beat him.
After he's dead, there's some time run around while they yell
"[Monster] has wom Repeat:[Monster] has won!". In this time
the pickup CANNOT be picked up. So make sure you grab it
before the enemy is beaten. Keep that in Mind.
Now the big question. CAN I CHEAT? Yes you can. As long as you don't use
the "Pick up all Buildings" Code, you can
use just about any cheat you want. If you choose to, I suggest infinate health,
quad damage, 10/11 continues, infinate energy, and infinate Rage.
This way you can have no trouble finding the Gallery Items, and if
Time runs out, you still have plenty of continues.
If you're using an XBOX, I suggest using a soundtrack because
it's much more entertaining.
Picking up the other Monster and throwing him into a larger building
can really save time when trying to break down the larger buildings.
Also, throwing smaller buildings works well too. Spining attacks in
crowded areas also is a good way to destroy more. These can also
be used in Destruction mode. Please note by destroying all these
buildings, you are just asking for the military to shoot at you
instead of the other monster. There's a 90% that you'll destroy
more than he will if you are truly trying to get the Gallery Item.
While searching for the Gallery Item, I suggest you get as many pick-ups
as you can. You don't want the computer to get them because it will
make things harder on you. The Mothra pick-up is good when you
are just searching. this way Mothra will do some damage to him until
you find the Gallery item. Then you can go and defeat him.
The Reason HARD is reccomended is that in NORMAL, the Gallery Items
don't appear nearly as much as in hard. Besides it will help you get
better anyway. Remember to watch for the column of light as you
destroy a building.
Keep note that Beam weapons are blocked by UFO's, Power-Ups,
or buildings. This can cause problems when you are trying to kill
the enemy.
5. Monsters Stats
These are all the monsters/ Gallery items each
-Godzilla 90's (LOTS)
-Anguirus (LOTS)
-Megalon (MEDIUM)
-Gigan (MEDIUM)
-Godzilla 2000 (LOTS)
-King Ghidorah (MEDIUM)
-Rodan (MEDIUM-LOW)
-Mecha-King Ghidorah (MEDIUM-LOW)
-Destroyah (MEDIUM-LOW)
-Mechagodzilla 2 (LOW)
-Mechagodzilla 3 (VERY LOW) (XBOX ONLY)
-Orga (VERY LOW)
I suggest unlocking all the monster before going for Gallery Items. It
will give you the expierence to perform better and get the items
quicker.
Godzilla 90's, Megalon, and Anguirus (and Gigan on XBOX) are your
starting characters.
To unlock/beat Adventure mode with:
-Godzilla 2000/Godzilla 90's
-Gigan/Anguirus
-King Ghidorah/Megalon
-Rodan/Anguirus
-Mecha-King Ghidorah/King Ghidorah
-Destroyah/Godzilla 2000
-Mechagodzilla 2/ Everyone except Mechagodzilla 3(XBOX) and Orga
-Orga/Godzilla 2000 after beating it with everyone else
-MechaGodzilla 3(XBOX)/Orga on Medium or Hard
Now if you're not good with a monster/monsters (which is likely), then
using cheats may be your resort. Let's face it, you can't be good with every
monster. Not all monsters fit your style. If you like Big Powerfule guys
then Destroyah would be good, but if you're more into the weaker but
insanely fast type, then Rodan could be your man... err I mean monster.
There's no shame getting a friend or someone good with your not-so-
good monsters to give you a hand.
Each Monster has some good moves for destruction:
Godzilla 90's/2000- The spinning tail whip works well.
Anguirus- His Flip attack (where he flips toward you) is good.
Megalon- His small purple energy ball he shoots while doing a fierce
combo.
Gigan- His Spin attack can work wonders on buildings.
Rodan- His foward charge is usually good.
Destroyah- The energy katana should do the trick.
King Ghidorah- His jumping tail smack works well.
Mecha-King Ghidorah- The lunging three headed attack is good.
Mechagodzilla 2- His flying head-butt works well.
Mechagodzilla 3 (XBOX ONLY)- His upper-cut tailwhipe is good.
Orga- The back-hand slap can take down buildings good.
EVERYONE- If all else fails, throw a building or another monster
at the big building and it will come down very quickly. Also Rage
attacks work well, just make sure the enemy is nearby as well.
Monster Stats:
Monster--------------Attack----Defense----Speed---Weapons
Godzilla 90's----------5/8-------4/8----------4/8-------5/8

*Exact Values unknown; These are likely estimations
Attack- Physical Strength
Defense- Damage taken
Speed- How quick you move

NOTE: Characters have other abilities which don't fall into any
of the above categories.
Misc./Special Monster tecniques
Not all Monsters have them.

Orga-----------------No--------No----------No--------Tough*****
Burrow/Teleport: Hit Y+A or R+L
Fly: Hold R
Weapons: Tap Black/Z
*Spike Shell- isn't a projectile, it's his back which enemies take
damage if they attack it.
** Hover Jump-Hold R to Hover for a second longer than a
normal jump. Does not use up energy.
***Hard Body- Weaker punches do nothing, instead a metal
sound is heard.
****Energy Katana- A fierce attack that uses energy but is
quite effective but also gets annoyning if you on the
recieving end.
*****Tough- Normally Higher Impact Attacks are reduced to
lower impact, making them hard to knock down.
As for Regular Descriptions:
Fly (Slow)- You fly in the air slowly at the cost of energy, you can
freely move.
Fly (Fast)- Same as slow BUT much less energy loss and you go
very fast.
Burrow- You go undergrounf and can come up beneath another
monster to throw them. If you come up without grabbing
someone, you're tired and cannot move for about 3 seconds.
Teleport- Hold in the direction you want to go and hit the buttons.
You go over there instantly at the cost of energy.
Weapons- These are SPECIAL 2nd projectile attacks that
have ammo, unless stated otherwise. Hard Body, Spike Shell,
and Energy Katana do not have ammo.
6. What do the Gallery Pictures look like?
If you mean the actually pick-up, then it's a white Atari logo in 3D.
As for the pictures themselves, there are a few basic types:
-Concept Art (rough paper sketches)
-Japanese Movie posters (Posters of Godzilla movies)
-Monsters (3D pictures of monsters)
-Unused Game-Covers (Pictures that were also considered to be
on the box)
-Old Screenshots (Shots of the original before they re-did it)
-Misc. (Ufos, Vortaak, not too many of these)
Like I said earlier, you automatically collect them in order. You
just have to get all 40. I'm not sure if there is a reward for getting
all 40. If you can confirm that there is/isn't a reward, email me.
You use L and R to zoom in and out. Also, you use the control stick
to go move the picture left and right or up and down. Sometimes, there
there is text that can only be read when zoomed in.
7. Tips for beating the Enemy
Now you've collected the Gallery Item, what do you do now? You
kill the monster. Every monster has a weakness. Exploit it to become
victorious.
Here are each monsters Strengths/Weaknesses:
Godzilla 90's- Balanced/No definate strength and short arms
Anguirus- Great Defense and Spike Shell/ Weak underside
Megalon- Strong and can burrow, extended jump/ Takes more damage
from blue hits
Gigan- Can teleport and good strength/ Weak beam, bad throws
Rodan- can fly fast and far with little energy use/ horrable defense
and attacks
Destroyah- Very strong, good energy attacks/ very slow, does bad
cornered.
King Ghidorah- Good Beam, great kicks, can fly/ Very slow,
weak punches
Mecha-King Ghidorah- Strong attacks and beams/Slow and energy
does 2x normal damage to him.
Godzilla 2000- longer arms/ less defense, a bit slower
Mechagodzilla 2- Good defense, great beam, can fly/ Energy does a little
more damage than normal
Mechagodzilla 3- stronger than MG2 and more balanced; less
energy damage/ large target and weaker beam than MG2
Orga- Superior Strength, good throws/ Very slow, 2nd energy attack
sucks*, very bad if cornered. Also takes extra energy damage.
*That's just my opinion, you may like it.
8. Dealing with the Military
I forgot to mention that the Military attacks the monster who has
dealt the most damage to the city.
The Military is the most annoying part of searching for the Gallery Items.
There are six basic kinds of Military:
-Helicopters/Alien Ships (shoot missles/lasers which do some damage)
-Tanks (do minimal damage)
-Freeze Tanks (Freeze you, no damage; very annoying)
-Monster Island Turrets (same damage a Helicopter)
-Alien turrets (slightly more damage than helicopter)
-Vortaak Turrets (Same as Alien but can stun monsters who stand by them for
too long)
Now to get ride of helicopters and alien ships either shoot them or
punch them. This isn't always easy because they are small and you can't lock
on to them.Just try your best. You can lock on using the R button.
For tanks, just step on them. It's really easy. They can get annoying though.
Freeze Tanks suck. As with normal tanks, you can step on them and
unlike normal tanks you can throw them. If you see one, get ride
of it pronto. It will only cause trouble.
Monster Island/Alien turrets are part of structures. You have to destroy
the structure. If you don't, those guns will slowly wither your health after
being shot at for so long.
9. Other Flying Objects
There are three other types of objects that can cause you problems
They are:
-UFOs
-Hedorah
-Mothra
UFOs simply get in the way of your beam attacks. To get rid of them,
shoot them with your beam a few times and they'll leave. They love to
go right in front of your face as you're fully charged so you waste it.
Hedorah is annoying. When Hedorah is around, all monsters gain back
energy much more slowly. It is a major inconvience. If you get a clear
shot and/or are not threatend at the moment, dispose of him with your
beam.
Mothra can help or hurt you. If you got the Mothra pickup, it helps you.
If the enemy did, it's bad news. Mothra shoots at enemies of the one who
picked up the item. So if he;s not on your side, shoot him before he shoots
you and you won't have too much trouble. His beam does damage of King
Ghidorah's fully charged beam without the impact.
PLEASE NOTE: For all three of the above, you can lock on
and shoot at them by holding R. This makes it much quicker to
dispose of them when necessary.
10. Gamecube and XBOX differences
The first real difference is the graphics. The Gamecube version has good
graphics, but the XBOX one has awesome graphics. Also the XBOX
version has MechaGodzilla 3 (on Gamecube only for Japan Version), The Ring,
Vortaak Homeworld, DL Content (I heard there's only a few things),
and custom Soundtracks (you can play music saved to the XBOX).
Also, the XBOX version has 3 profiles, while Gamecube only has one.
The Gamecube does have better controls though.
GAMECUBE OR XBOX?
If you have a Gamecube and no XBOX, stick with the Gamecube.
It's better on XBOX but that much better. If already have the
Gamecube version, it's not too bad of an idea to sell it and
get the XBOX version. But the Gamecube version should
do just fine. Also Gigan is a starter on XBOX. In Japan
Gamecube only has MG3 while US has MG2. XBOX
gets both.
This is just my opinion:
Gamecube- 8.5/10
XBOX- 8.75/10
11. FAQ
Q: I can't seem to beat Destoroyah! Help!
A: Relax. He's a tough one. He's slow though. Use
this to your advantage. He does have some cheap moves
but cornered, he's near helpless.
Q: How do I unlock cities?
A: Get half-way through Adventure mode with different
monsters and it will tell you something was unlocked.
Q: How do I unlock "The Ring"?
A: Only by code. It's dumb to have it on the back
and only unlock it by code, but they did.
Q: How do I unlock "Vortaak"?
A: Beat Adventure mode with Kiryu (MG3)
Q: And "Mothership"?
A: Same as above except with MG2.
Q: I heard I could unlock SpaceGodzilla, is it true?
A: NO! There have been many false rumors and I checked
all of them out. They're all fake. So don't try beating 50
people in Survival Mode.
Q: What's this I hear about a new Monster via DL?
A: Just a rumor as of now. Right now all you can
get over DL is Thrashburg (city).
Q:I've never heard of some of these Monsters, where can I learn more?
A: Simple, www.gojistomp.org has complete bio's on all the monsters
including their movies, win record, height, etc.
Q: Is there a sequel made/going to be made?
A: Yes, Godzilla:Save the Earth is scheduled to hit shelves November
2nd or 3rd of 2004. It will feature more cities and monsters and a new
Adventure mode. There will be 18 playable Monsters including
SpaceGodzilla, Mothra, Baragon, and Jet Jaguar. Battra gets Mothra's
old Job. There also be more than just fighting. These include the
MOGUERA Space Shooter, Monster Bowling, and more.

Last Updated: 8-28-04
Updates: Mr Strange and Dragon King Ghidorah have given
me a few corrections.
Also I changed the top. Thanks to MegaSSjGoku.
I also added the Godzilla ASCII Art.
I also forgot to insert Dragon King Ghidorah's
second insert into the text.
I REFIXED and added to the monsters stat charts.
I also added the copyrights thing.
I also added some extra Orga and MG3 strength and weaknesses.
I also removed the (XB) for MG3 because it's
obvious by now.
I upgraded this to a full FAQ/Move List
"1 - the rage powerup makes you deal 120% damage, not double.
It also does not reduce damage you take. It does however knock
opponents back further, which is sometimes good and sometimes bad.
2 - The process for finding atari powerups is not exactly as you describe.
The powerups are arena limited, not monster limited. You can get a
max of 4 tokens per arena, 2 in day and 2 at night. You will need
to switch monsters in action mode to get them all, or play vs games
with an AI, as you suggest.
3 - the strength values for Orga and Mecha3 are:
8, 5, 4, 4 (Orga)
5, 5, 5, 4 (Mecha3)
4 - to burrow or teleport, you can also use the two triggers. I'm surprised
anyone uses A + Y, frankly.
5 - You think Orga's paralyzing goo sucks? Interesting.
6 - Dealing with the military - the military attacks whoever has dealt the most
city damage. If you're looking for atari
powerups, that's probably you. In regular games,
you can step carefully to sic
them on your opponent." -Mr Strange
"The Alien Turrets at the Vortaak Homeworld can stun monsters that
stay near them. To stop them, you must destroy their stone pillars.
Beams cant go through Power-Ups.
Freezing Tanks can be grabbed. Normal Tanks cant.
You can shoot your Beam Attack at the Helicopters. Just hold the
Right Triggrer while using your Beam Attack. This also works
against the Alien Ships at Mothership, Mothra
and/or Hedorah." -Dragon King Ghidorah
