I. Introduction and Secrets

This FAQ is designed to help the player find important items on the
potentially difficult Oni Spirits Mini-Game boards. As you may know,
there are 12 total stages in Oni Spirits.
The rewards for completing Oni Spirits greatly outweighs the
frustration that you may experience along the way. Granted that you
defeat the mini-game, you will earn the Bishamon Sword, along
with infinite Normal and Fire Arrows, in addition to the infinite
Bullets and Burst Bullets.
You will also be granted infinite magic for your three Orb weapons.
Plus 99 Soul Absorbers.
II. Version History
-----------------------
1.00 (02/18/2002): First version containing basic maps for all 12
stages of Oni Spirits. An introduction w/secrets,
all 12 maps, and the Administrivia are included.
1.01 (03/02/2002): Cleaned up my faq, and corrected some spelling
mistakes.

The following are maps of all 12 stages with the location of the
spoils. I will list the enemies at their initial locations. Any
enemies that have their names in (parentheses) will teleport after
either you have reached a certain part of the room or after
a fixed time period. As for S.P. that stands for Samanosuke's
starting position.

Well, if you've beaten Oni Spirits Congratulations!! If not, keep on
trying because you can do it. Even if it means trying it over 50 times.
The rewards are worth it, simply because it feels greatly rewarding.
If you do beat it and you want to know how to use the 99 Soul
Absorbers, please read on.
Generally, one Soul Absorber will destroy virtually any enemy.
The monsters that can not be destroyed with a soul absorber are:
Ayame the evil possessed doll; Osric the large red demon with the
studded iron mace; Marcellus(both versions) the tall demon with
the long sword and large round shield; the Stylado (Samanosuke's
doppelganger); Baguwassha the GIANT blood-covered bull/ogre creature;
Hecuba the deceitful maid; the Tower Warrior wearing the Ogre
Armor; nor Fortinbras the end boss a.k.a "Genma no Oo."
If you feel like being very cheap with your enemies you can use the
Soul Absorbers on anyone you like, but keep in mind that you will
not be allowed to K.O. the enemies listed above. You only take a
variable amount of souls from them.
To use a Soul Absorber, simply press down on the right thumbstick
and go to your item menu. You will eventually see your Soul Absorbers.
As soon as you use one, the game will resume. There will be a
large bright pink circle surrounding you. Now, provided that
there are enemies within this circle as you use your orb gauntlet,
they will loose some souls and/or their all of their life as well.

This FAQ is my second FAQ to date.
When I first unlocked Oni Spirits on the PS2, I tried finding help
on GameFaqs last year. I found the FAQ by SAoki, and though I couldn't
beat it via SAoki's advice, I got some helpful information out of the
PS2 FAQ. After three days of swearing to no end, I beat that nasty
mini-game.
Only one thing is different between both versions which is that
the Ninja Suit has replaced the Holy Armor found in the PS2 version.
A very big and warm Domou Arigatou goes out to my dearest husband :)
And I can't forget Koji and Muush. I love you naughty little kitties:)
