Note: I don't have this game or an Xbox, thus I
can't verify these hidden commands. Also, these
commands reportedly work in the Japanese version DOA3,
and may not work in the non-Japanese version DOA3.
(I typed up this file as a "fan service" for the
fellow Mitsuishi Kotono, Touma Yumi, Yamazaki Wakana,
and Kishino Yukimasa fans out there.)

2. HIDDEN COMMANDS
Note: Most of the male chara's hidden commands/features
aren't in this version of this file, and might be in a
later version. (^_^;) Och aye, sexism in action. Flame
me.
2.1 AYANE (CV: Yamazaki Wakana)
Choose C2 costume colour:
In the chara select screen, choose C2 costume, then press
A or Y for purple, or press X for white.
Unlock C3 costume:

Or, in Tag Battle Mode, each of the Attack, Throw, and

(Note 1: The "Xbox-like item" reportedly appears when
the player's chara does a ground attack to a knocked-down
enemy, or when the player's chara knocks down an enemy.
Note 2: In each of the five stages, the game calculates
the hitting percentages of Ayane's attacks (punches and
kicks), throws, and holds. If Ayane punches or kicks nothing
when her enemy is far away or knocked down, the game counts
these attacks as misses.
The "Attack hitting average" is the sum of the five
Attack hitting percentages, then divided by five.
The game similarly calculates the "Throw hitting
average" and "Hold hitting average".
Note 3: The "Total Average" is the sum of the three
hitting averages (Attack, Throw, and Hold), then divided by
three.)

3. 3RD IMPRESSION
From Nael Masood (2002.05.22):
First off, I would like to say that your DOA3 secret
guide is good. However, I would like to point out that the
costumes that you list can be unlocked in the North
American version of the game. The requirement is that North
American users need to have the DOA3 Booster Pack that is
in the demo disc included with the June 2002 issue of
Official Xbox Magazine. However, the C3 costumes for
Kasumi, Zack, and Ein do not require the Booster Pack.
From Nael Masood (2003.04.01):
Another little tidbit on extra costumes and the Booster Pack:
I found out awhile ago that Offical Xbox Magazine continued to include
the DOA3 Booster with several more issues (I'm not sure when they stopped,
but it was sometime before the end of 2002). Luckily, the Booster Pack is
also included in Microsoft's first Xbox Exhibition Disc (basically, a
commerically-sold demo disc, which I have only seen sold in more common
stores like Best Buy and Wal-Mart). So North American gamers who got the
game late (and shame on you if you did! :P ) can still get the extra
costumes - it's just a matter of finding someone with a copy of OXM from
late 2002 lying around, or finding a store selling the first exhibition disc
(MS just recently released a second Exhibition Disc that I don't believe has
the booster, so be careful).

PS I've got a bad feeling about the DOA movie to be
produced by Mindfire Entertainment and scheduled for
2003, unless it features 3D CG chara voiced by Aoni Pro
seiyuu, instead of real actors.
