Night Climb is an arcade style game for the PS Vita that involves
walljumping up two adjacent walls while avoiding spikes and collecting
coins. The goal of the game is to get the hi-score.

The Green Lumpy Guy:
Why is he sad? What is sadness? Why must he climb? Why must
he climb at night? All these questions and more will not be
addressed in the slightest.

In the dark of the night, a lone man wanders the vacant streets of a
bustling metropolis. Though technically surrounded by millions, on this
pathway, the man walks alone. Left only to his thoughts, the man has a
quiet evening of retroflection. The stars blink in and out, not a cloud
in the sky, the man can't help but remember of times past, friends lost,
and dreams shattered. Only in this moment, the man thinks of giving up.
Suddenly, giant walls of metal come crashing down from the heavens,
trapping the man between their icy plates of aluminum.
The man was faced with a choice, live forever in this prison of darkness
and metal, or ascend; climb the metal cage and prove that he has the hope
for the future.
He climbs, and as he does, the floor gives out from underneath. The walls
start climbing with him. Now he is forced to go on, to continue jumping
to continue struggling, to continue living, until he cannot. But that's
not all! The ceiling is covered with spikes, and spikes fall from the very
walls that he clings. To survive is now a struggle, but he keeps going,
moving towards the future. And, he sees it. The future that he desired
the future that will bring him happiness, that he has been searching for
all this time: money. Silver, then bronze, and even gold coins, quite
literally falling from the sky! This is what he desires, and this is what
he gets.
Time passes, the climb continues. The walls have ascended into space,
leaving the city behind. There is nothing left here except the stars,
and the walls. He starts to wonder what it was all for, and for how
long he can keep going. He wonders how long until he hits the spikes.
Just then, a chill runs up his spine and his entire body shakes. He
has realized the inevitable, that this journey, will, no .. must end.
That he has done so much, but in the end does any of it matter?
A spike runs down the left side, the side that man is clinging to, but
a faster one just appeared on the right! By now, he is practiced, he knows
the maneuver to survive. Jump, then double jump past the second spike.
He starts to move his legs, but wait! There is a shiny, juicy, luscious,
gold coin, that just appeared! He can get it, he knows he can get it,
he just needs to wait a few seconds longer, then..... jump, double jump
grab the coin then....oh no...
Time come to a crawl, he sees the spike, he knows he is on a collision
course, and he knows that nothing he can do will stop it. He looks down,
remembers his score, remembers what he has accomplished and accepts his
fate.
The moment his flesh comes in contact with the spike, it bursts into flames.
It starts a chain reaction; his toes, his elbows, his knees; everything burns.
This propels him backwards at high speed and he comes in contact with
the wall, and the process repeats, bouncing back and forth.
The moments are long and painful, but it all ends once he bounces
off of the screen, then his entire body bursts, and floats up farther
into space, until it is absorbed by the spikes of the walls.
The walls keep moving, the spikes keep falling, and the coins keep glistening.
Nothing changes, the walls do not care about the man, they do not react. They
keep on traveling through the cosmos, moving and churning and oozing for
millennia until they find another like the man, one who has lost everything
and can be tempted by greed. Then they will trap him again, and uses his
burning remains as fuel for their journey. As they have always done:
as they always will.

The controls are really simple! At the start screen, press start
or any of the Jump buttons to begin the game.
Start -- pauses the game
L Jump
R Jump
Up Jump
Right Jump
Left Jump
X Jump
O Jump
Square Jump
Triangle Jump
While in the air, press any of the Jump buttons to double jump.

At the start screen, press start
or any of the Jump buttons to begin the game.
At this point you have to jump up to the blue line to begin the game.
If this is your first playthrough, this is a good time to play with the
controls and get a feel for the game.
Once you are ready, jump past the blue line. The floor will give out
and the game will begin.
The goal of the game is to avoid three things:
1. The spikes at the top of the screen.
2. The spikes falling from the walls.
3. The bottom of the screen.
Touching any of the three things leads to a Game Over.
While at the same time, there are coins falling from the screen
that you should collect to increase your score.
At any one point, you have two options:
1. Do nothing.
2. Jump.
Jumping will allow you to avoid obstacles, and collect coins, but
don't forget that doing nothing may be the wisest choice.

How to Increase your Score (@@@6)

Here are all the ways your score increases
Staying Alive:
You get 10 points every second for staying alive
Jumping:
You get 15 points for every jump
and another 15 points for double jumping
Coins: You get points for each coin you collect
Bronze: 50 points, 50% chance of appearing
Silver: 100 points, 40% chance of appearing
Gold: 200 points, 10% chance of appearing
Coin probabilities:
1 coin spawns every .5 to 2 seconds (uniform distribution)
Once a coin is spawned it has a 50% chance of being bronze,
a 40% chance of being gold and a 10% chance of being gold
Each coin's position and speed is random.
To maximize score, I recommend staying alive, longer games have a much
higher probability of a higher score. If you see a gold coin, but jumping
may lead you to your doom, leave the coin, it's not worth it.
Spike probabilities:
Every .5 seconds there is a 10% chance that a spike will spawn.
The chance is independent on each wall.
The spike speed is random.
