I've got the first three stages of the walkthrough complete. I'll finish the
others when I get around to it. But what I have here should be enough for the
enterprising player to finish the game on their own.

OVERVIEW
Dragon's Curse is the third game in the Wonderboy series. It was published for
the TG16/PCE, the Genesis/Mega Drive and Sega Master System/Mark 3. Although
you don't hear a lot about it, it's a fantastic platform/adventure game that is
every bit the equal of more well-known titles like Kid Icarus and Metroid. I
really can't say enough good things about it.

CONTROLS
Button 2 is used to attack and, when in menus, cancel
Button 1 is used to jump or, when in menus, to decide
Run is used to pause the game and bring up you item selection screen. While in
this screen, select the arm list and press button 1 to equip new swords. Do the
same for shields and armor in their respective menus. On the right, you'll see
"fireball," tornado, etc. To equip these simply highlight them and press button
1. To use these, press down + button 1.
To open locked doors, select the Key in your item screen and press up when in
front of the door.

A NOTE ABOUT SHOPS
When you go into a shop, you'll frequently see that the items are marked "???"
and are not for sale. This is because you need to equip the right armor in
order to buy certain items. If you go to your item screen and look at the armor
you have equipped, you'll see that there's three numbers on the upper right. AP
is Attack Points, or how much damage you do when attacking. DP is Defense
Points. CP is Charisma Points, or how attractive you are while wearing the
item. You'll see that some items (for instance the Goblin Mail) might be higher
in DP than other items, but lower in CP. So, if you're wearing Goblin Mail and
an item is greyed out, try putting on armor with a higher CP value, for
instance the Mithril Mail.

WALKTHROUGH
Prologue
You begin as Hu-Man, the most powerful form in the game.
Go right down the hall. Go down the well and to the right. When you start
seeing skeletons, go left. Enter door and you'll be fighting the first boss,
Mechadragon. After you beat him, you'll turn into Lizardman, the weakest form
in the game. Get all the coins you can. Avoid the blue flame, it will end your
bonus session. Go right out the door when things start shaking. Shoot the green
ogre for the key to the exit. Enter the door and exit the castle. Watch the
cinema sequence as the castle is destroyed.

Lizardman
You'll emerge in a town. Go thru first door into the church, where you can save
your game. If you're playing this on an actual TG16/Duo (like I am), you can
save your game to the console's internal RAM. If you're playing on a Turbo
Express or an emulator, you're stuck with using passwords. Exit the church and
enter the next door. Go right, then down the well Kepp going right thru the
opening. You'll be in a tropical-type level that reminds me of Sonic for some
reason. Avoid falling the in water if you want, but there's bonuses and things
down there so it might pay to explore a little. Go right until you see a door
(about 4 screens over), get the key in the room it leads to, and keep going
left back to town. Use the key to go thru the locked door in middle of town. Go
up the tower. Keep going right into a desert level. Go left until you reach a
checkered pyramid. Go down the first well, then go in the first door you see.
It will take you up to the top of the screen. Jump up out of the well and go
left until you reach a small building with a door in it. Go thru the door for a
heart container. It might seem like a lot of work, but you'll find that it's
worth it. Go back up the pyramid. Go down the well on the right. Go left until
you're in the pyramid. Keep heading up the pyramid. When you get to the top, go
in the door and get healed. Go up and get the key. Use the key to go thru door.
Keep going left pasta  floor made of springs. After the springs, go down the
hole. You'll be between two spitting faces. Go right or left until you fall
thru the floor. Go thru the door. Fight the first boss. I thought this was a
pretty tough fight, mostly because you'll probably only have 2 hearts. Try to
stay under him as he spits green stuff, then jump up and shoot him when he
stops. Take your time, dont hurry and be sloppy. Collect some coins, then
you'll turn into Mouseman.

Mouseman
You'll see that this level is quite a bit easier and more of a straightforward
platform level than the one before.
Go back down a couple floors in the pyramid. After you see red ogre, walk on
underside of the ledge upsidedown (this will take a bit of practice, just try
pressing down right when you're about to fall off the left edge of the
platform). After you're upside down, go right and enter the door on the far
right. You'll see it's on accessible by going upsidedown. Get the money and
hearts from chest. Enter the shop and buy the dancing shield from pig (you
might have to put on the mithril armor so you're charisma will be high enough).
Go in the door on the far right. Go in the door marked "return". This will take
you back to the town. Save your game at the church. Go left over the checkered
blocks. Go left, jumping over the glowing blue things
There's a new type of cloud enemy who drops fireballs that follow you. Your
shield can block those fireballs- just stand still and let them hit you and
it'll block them. After that you'll find yourself at this maze thing made up a
of checkered blocks. Go to top of the maze and jump. You'll be in a secret
room. Open the chest for gold and hearts. Go in the shop after the maze. Buy
the Shogun Lamellar (armor), but the Dancing Shield is better than the Shogun
Shield, so don't buy it unless you don't have the Dancing Shield. Go left,
fight some skeletons, frogs and birds, and kill the last bird for a key. Go
left until you see a checkered wall. Climb the wall up 2 screens. At the top,
jump off the wall onto the platform in the middle and open the door. Go left,
up and right past the shooting heads. Your shield can block the fireballs from
the heads, and well-timed blocks are the key to getting through this section.
Keep going up several floors in the checkered, purple castle. When you get to
the top go down the middle, sort of in bewtween the two sides, then up and
around the other side of the castle until you get to the door. When you enter
the door you'll be fighting the boss dragon. Keep jumping over him when he
sinks into the floor. When he surfaces, hit him immediately, before he can
start spitting stuff. After beating him, open the chest on the right for a
much-needed heart container, then enter the shop, where you can buy medicine. I
bought three bottles, but it's up to you. You'll now be turned in to
Pirahna-Man.

Pirahna-Man
Go back in the tower in the middle of town (the same one you used as
Lizard-Man). Go up to the top, go out the door. Once outside, jump over to the
right to the door and enter. You'll be in the desert (the same desert as when
you were Lizard-Man and you went in the pyramid). This time, once in the
desert, go to the right. You'll enter a very straightforward platforming area
with lots of lava and ogres and stuff. Just block all the shots with your
shield and try really hard not to fall into the lava, because it's tough to get
out. Keep going right until you get to a small hut. Enter the hut. Get the
money form the chest, then enter the shop and buy the Dragon Mail. Get healed
in the door on the right if you want to. Equip the Dragon Mail, it enables you
to go in lava without getting hurt. Keep going until you get to the next door.
Go in that door. Next go in the middle dor and jump on the orange platform
until you change back into Mouse-Man. As Mouse-Man, go out the door on the
right and up the checkered wall. Go up a couple more screens, and drop down.
Open the chest. With item you have, you can now break the plain grey blocks
with your sword. Go back down and through the door you came from. Go in the top
door again and turn back into Pirahna-Man. Break the blocks and go in the
bottom door, then in the "Return" door. Once back in town, go down the well and
up the first opening. Break the blocks, go in the shop and buy the Samurai
Armor. Go back down into the well, and go right. You'll be back in the tropical
level you started in. Go down into the water, and go right until you come to
some blocks you can break, with a spring block to the right. Break those blocks
and go down. Keep going right until you see blocks moving up and down. Pass
those and go up. Go up the passage. At the top of the passage you can go left
and get healed if you need it. Otherwise go right past the sunken ship. Go down
the passage on the right, left, then up and you'll have a shiny new heatr
container. Now go back into the town, go back up the tower and thru the lava
area, and turn into Mouse-Man. Back in town, go the checkered blocks left of
the tower, walk down the side of them and break the blocks covering the water.
