I. Introduction
---------------
Urban Strike is the third and final chapter of the Strike series. The game was
made in 1994, but is set in 2001. A man named Malone, after losing the election
of 2000, has formed a large network of anti-crime squads so that he can directly
combat the dangerous thugs roaming America's cities... or so he says.
With Malone's popularity soaring but his actions becoming more suspect, the
president has your task force looking into the situation. But the inside man,
your pal EGO from the jungle missions, has been assassinated! Malone is a very
dangerous man, but no one knows what he's up to...
The major drawback of Urban Strike is that there is a ridiculous amount of lag
when enemies are anywhere nearby. It is very frustrating, but it is still a
playable game. And if you're like me and HAVE to play every game in a series,
then you won't have any choice but to put up with it.
Play through the first mission and you will get used to the lame changes very
quickly.
II. Controls and Maneuvers
--------------------------
Start: brings up cockpit screen with strategy maps and mission info (use Left
and Right to scroll through map markings, or use Y,X,A to switch info
screens)
Select: pause the game
A: Guns (weakest weapon-less than 10 damage, most ammo)
X: Hydra Rockets (medium weapon-25 damage, medium ammo)
Y: Missiles (strongest weapon-100 damage, least ammo)
B: nothing
(these are the default weapon settings; you can set them to something else if
you prefer; just go into options and scroll through the combinations)
D-Pad: move helicopter; two different styles available
With Momentum - This is the "realism" setting where the chopper drifts
a little when you stop. Left and Right turn your chopper left
and right while Up moves forward and Down moves backward.
No Momentum - This style has the same controls, but no drifting effect.
However, because of the bad play control and lag, you should
never choose this option. When you want to turn around and
shoot an enemy, you can't turn and back up at the same time
like you can with momentum on. It won't affect you for easy
enemies, but it will make you a sitting duck against harder
stuff.
L and R: nothing
III. Items and Buildings
------------------------
Items are spread all over the map for you to pick up. In order to pick up items
you need to fly right over it and stay still until the winch lowers and grabs
it; once you have the item you can start flying, even if it isn't all the way
up yet.
Ammo Crate (box with gray stuff inside): refills all weapons to maximum
Fuel (three oil drums): refuels you to 100 fuel
Armor (flat gray box): restores your armor
Extra Life (box with a red X on top): self-explanatory
Quick Ladder (looks like a bale of hay): AKA the "quickwinch," this will really
improve your ladder and winch speed.
MIA, POW, hostages, etc (people that don't shoot at you; if they're not dressed
in green, they're probably friendly): In each level you will have to
pick people up. This works the same way as items; just fly over them
and they will jump on the ladder that lowers.
You need to drop them off at a landing zone (check map for landing zone
markers) before you can pick up more people. As a bonus, every person
you drop off at a landing zone restores 100 armor!
Sometimes you need to pick up people who don't want to go for a ride in
your awesome chopper... i.e., bad guys. They will not stand still and
wait for you to pick them up, they will run. Just get over them and
your copilot will go down on the ladder and nab 'em. You also get
armor refills for bringing captured bad guys to landing zones.
Items are marked on your map, but sometimes you won't see any. That's because
you have to blow something up. Shoot buildings and enemies to uncover items.
There are also unmarked items under buildings, so don't be afraid to just blow
up anything you see.
IV. Copilots
------------
You have many copilot options, and you can add to them by finding MIA copilots
in the missions. I find that there is little to no difference between the
initial copilots, but the MIAs are improvements.
LEGAL: When you find LEGAL in the Hawaii mission, your targeting for enemies
will greatly improve. Hitting buildings will still be harder,
especially small ones.
STINGER: She is on the oil rig in the second mission, and her weapons skills
are phenomenal. She has better aim than LEGAL, better shooting arc,
and shoots faster.
LONG HAUL: Best copilot. Ever.
V. Vehicles
-----------
Mohican: This is the default helicopter. It has 1000 armor maximum, 9 missiles,
60 rockets, and 1000 guns. Holds up to 6 people.
Blackhawk: This chopper is a huge beast! It has no missiles (twice the amount
of guns, though) but has double the armor of the Mohican. It can hold
up to 20 people and it is really slow (even without lag). Use this
when you need to rescue a bunch of people.
Ground Assault Vehicle (GAV): These have 2000 armor and an arsenal of 300
rockets. You can basically just roll around and blow up anything you
want, but you will move very slowly.
Foot: Sometimes you have to go on foot, and you will be equipped with a huge
gun that shoots normal bullets and also has 9 rockets.
VI. Enemies
-----------
Rifleman: These poor fools shoot bullets at you and are totally harmless. Just
shoot them once or twice times to put 'em down. Sometimes you can't see
them, but you can hear them shooting. Shoot in the direction of the
bullets and your copilot will lock on to them eventually.
Rocket Soldier: Looks like a rifleman with a long gun; he shoots a rocket
at you that is a little weaker than your own Hydra, but he may be back
up for a stronger enemy. These guys also hide out in buildings and
ambush you when you look to see what's inside. The good news is this
soldier can only take two or three hits.
Guard Tower: This is a rifleman stationed on top of a tower. Just fire at him
until he falls to his death.
Foxhole Soldier: Soldiers sometimes have sandbags stacked around them for extra
protection, but they are still quite easy to kill.
Bunker: Bunkers look like big white squares with a slit in the front. You will
hear rocket fire, but no rockets will come at you. If you hover over
the bunker, your winch will pick it up and reveal an enemy inside who
will try to shoot you, as well as an ammo crate or other goody. Just
start shooting to drop the bunker.
Clearly, whoever programmed the bunker forgot to allow the rockets to
shoot through it at you, making it a dangerous object. An unfortunate
oversight...
Gator: Speedboats that shoot wussy bullets at you. Unload Hydras on them for an
easy kill.
XP3 Bulldog: Light armored vehicle. They shoot a moderately powerful bullet,
but are no match for your Hydra rockets.
Stealth Ships: On the first mission, these stealth ships (which are very easy to
spot... some stealth...) will fire their cannon at you but won't move.
A few missiles or a quick load of Hydras will destroy the cannon and
you can finish the boat with a stream of bullets.
Sea Snake: Slightly stronger speedboat, but still wussy.
Scorpion: Well-armored helicopters! You should use missiles or a very fast
stream of rockets to take these out.
Hover Plane: These shoot rockets with stunning speed, but not so great accuracy.
If you feel one coming, start moving and shooting. You should probably
use at least one missile and then rockets to kill the plane before it
can get a lock on you.
GUI Pitbull and Phalanx MX: These are both mounted guns that you can destroy
with a nice trick. They are supported by a large building, and you can
shoot the opposite side of that building from a distance without taking
fire from the gun itself. However, their armor is not very strong, so
missiles and rockets will make quick work of them.
X-Raid Wolverine: 250 armor and a rapid-fire cannon means you should not be too
casual about these enemies. Two missiles and a couple rockets will make
them quick kills, but with STINGER as your copilot, you can also gun
them down very quickly with plain ol' bullets.
HMF Armadillo: Identical to Wolverine?
Land Shark Armored Vehicle: More armor than Armadillo and Wolverine, but still
easy to handle.
AAA Flak Cannon: Stationary cannons with powerful shoot, but slow tracking.
You can easily destroy them by making passes directly overhead.
GAV: The Ground Assault Vehicle has 5000 armor (even though the one you can
drive has only 2000 armor) and is therefore nearly impervious to your
attack. You should only go after these with another GAV.
VII. General Tactics
--------------------
1. The biggest difference in terms of chopper control is that unlike previous
Strikes, you can not strafe side-to-side anymore. This makes attacking
MUCH harder. The trade-off is that enemies are terrible shots in this
game, but you don't want to rely on that. What you want to do is have
a very good idea of exactly how many shots you need to kill an enemy so
that you can unload no more and no less for a kill.
You also need to practice moving around all the time. You should dart
back and forth, turning a little bit each time. The momentum effect
will make it hard for enemies to hit you, and with a good copilot you
will have no trouble hitting them.
2. Hide behind buildings. Many enemies can not shoot over buildings for some
reason.
3. Shoot open every building you see. They will often contain extra ammo, fuel,
and armor. Sometimes, a building is invincible--if you shoot it with
a lot of bullets and it doesn't explode soon, it's probably not going to
blow up ever.
4. Most enemies are slow to turn around, so if they are alone, you can fly
straight at them (while shooting) go over them, then turn around faster
than they can to finish the job.
How do you turn around fast? Let's say you fly north at an enemy. As
you pass over, the enemy starts to turn. Whichever way he turns, you
should also turn in that direction BUT BACK UP AT THE SAME TIME. This
will not only turn you faster but also make your enemy turn farther to
hit you. If you get really good at this, you will have no trouble with
heavily armored foes that turn slowly.
5. Sometimes in your zeal for combat, you shoot a hostage or other vital person
and thus end your prospects for victory. To avoid such mishaps, check
your mission data to see if you need to rescue/capture anyone, AND clear
out all enemies BEFORE hitting the building.
6. You usually don't need to do everything exactly right. If you see the
message "Mission Accomplished" that means you did enough of it to go
on to the next one.
7. Finally, the cardinal rule: when in doubt, CHECK THE MAP! The map has all
kinds of info about your objectives and the location of items. If you
plan ahead and think about where you can get more items as you progress,
you will fare much better than just randomly flying around looking for
trouble.
VIII. Walkthrough
-----------------
*********************
* Mission 1: HAWAII *
*********************
During the briefing, you learn that your old pal EGO (from Jungle Strike) was
the undercover agent who got blown up in the opening story. You also learn that
Malone has financed his own personal army and is training it on real estate that
he owns all over the country. In particular, his Hawaii group has already made
their move!
They are stealing large mirrors, but you don't know why. To keep the military
from interfering, they have built a bridge to your headquarters and are
assaulting it! (Not really... they won't go near your base). Better get out
there and kill some bad guys.
The only hard part about this mission is that you have to carry things a lot and
you might lose if an enemy shoots you and destroys your cargo. Otherwise, there
are items EVERYWHERE so you can unload ammo on every bad guy you see. Just
check your map often to see how your fuel and armor is doing.
The Blackhawk helicopter is parked north of your base near a landing zone.
Objective 1: Destroy the Radars
The visitors center on the island has been rigged with radars to help
the enemy coordinate his actions and jam your own electronics. Fly to
the marked area and shoot the buildings themselves to blow up the
radars.
Objective 2: Recover the Mirrors
There are four marked trucks on your map. When you approach, they try
to drive to the beach and unload their cargo to the stealth ships
nearby. Kill nearby enemies first, then destroy the truck. Be careful
not to destroy the crate it leaves behind. Pick it up and fly it to
the barge on the north edge of the map. If you hit a building on the
way you will destroy the mirrors, so be careful!
Once you get two crates of mirrors to the barge, you complete the
mission. You can get the rest for more points.
ALSO!!! DO NOT FIRE YOUR WEAPONS while carrying the mirrors. For some
reason they blow up when you fire your weapons.
Objective 3: Destroy the Stealth Ships
Four ships are now marked on your map. See the Enemies section for how
to destroy them (just unload ammo all over them).
Objective 4: Rescue the Plastic Surgeon
Malone (or is he?) had plastic surgery recently and the surgeon is
hiding here in Hawaii. He's scared and wants you to rescue him. In
return, he will tell you who Malone really is.
The surgeon is up in the top left of the map. Fly there, shoot the two
dudes gaurding him, then blow up the shack to release him.
Objective 5: Destroy the Enemy Bridge
You can do this any time you want. Just shoot all enemies on the bridge
as well as the bridge itself. It's made of wood, so it will crumble
under your gunfire. You have to blow up many sections of it, so keep
moving and shooting until it says "mission complete."
Objective 6: Rescue the Green Berets
Go to the southwest part of the large island. Shoot all the enemies in
this area as you can. Clear several screens' worth of enemies. Then
go south and pick up the big bomb on the island and return. On your
map is a tiny marker--go to it and you will see a purple flare. Fly
over it and the bomb will lower. It makes a huge clearing. Fly back
and carefully figure out who is shooting at you. Kill them and pick
up everyone else. Each time you pick someone up, another guy comes out
to shoot. You will have to make two trips with the Mohican, but the
Blackhawk can carry them all at once. When it says you completed this
task, fly home for the victory.
As with Objective 2, don't fire weapons while carrying the smart bomb.
Secret Objective: Rescue LEGAL
Along the southern beach is a crashed helicopter. Shoot the enemies and
pick up the pilot--it's LEGAL! You can now choose her as a copilot.
Also destroy the helicopter to prevent enemies from getting the software
that's onboard (this only increases your score).
Secret Objective: Rescue Swimmers
On the southern edge of the map you will see a shark and some swimmers.
Kill the shark and pull the swimmers out of the ocean. They only count
as "civilians rescued" in your score, but it's fun to get them.
Secret Objective: Rescue the King
In one of the huts on the west side of the map, you find a guy in white
who will jump on board your chopper when you lower the ladder. If you
do this, your score says that you rescued "The King," who I assume is
Hawaiian royalty, but may actually be some kind of "king surfer" or
whatever.
Extra Life Location: One of the huts near the edge of the northern bay is hiding
an extra life.
Quick Ladder Location: On the west edge of the map you will see a clearing with
an enemy and a Hawaiian dude. The Quick Ladder is out in the open, so
be careful not to shoot it.
****************************
* Mission 2: BAJA OIL RIGS *
****************************
Password: C9N3XCN3XCP (3 lives and LEGAL is available as a copilot)
The plastic surgeon reveals to you that he did reconstructive surgery for a man
with severe burns all over his face and hands. The photo he wanted to look like
was unfamiliar, but on the day of surgery he brought a photo of Malone instead.
Years later he realized that the first photo was Carlos Ortega, the drug lord
you thought you blasted in Jungle Strike!
So Ortega has somehow assumed the identity of Malone and taken control of his
wealth and personal fame to build a new mercenary force. But now he has control
of some advanced space weapon, according to your Green Beret squad.
Although the space weapon has not been located, an uncharted warship is docking
with some refitted oil rigs off the west coast. Smells like Ortega...
Objective 1: Radar Station
The radar station is protected by two large guns. Approach from one
side, kill the gun (two missiles or a quick barrage of rockets will take
it out) and then use guns on the radar station. Ignore the other gun.
Objective 2: Secure the Oil Rigs
This objective will be your toughest so far. Each oil rig is laid out
like this:
/ oil \
/ \
GUN small enemies GUN
\ /
\ /
When you shoot things on the rig, be sure to stop when they blow up
because they often leave bonuses behind and you will need them.
Go to the northwestern rig first, and approach the left gun. Use three
missiles on it which should kill it (throw in some rockets if you need
to). Then slowly sweep right and kill all soldiers and small guns.
Instead of approaching the right gun, instead shoot right until you can
hear your bullets hitting the building. You should just barely be able
to see it and if you are precise, the gun will not be able to reach you.
You can also shoot the flaming oil line to stop the spill.
Go to the second one and repeat. You will now have access to the
Blackhawk (southeast rig) and a landing zone (northwest rig).
Objective 3: Rescue the Passengers
Grab the Blackhawk and fly to the marked area. You will see many life
boats and also some people swimming. Go after swimmers first, and shoot
rockets at any speedboats that come near. There is a shark around too,
so kill it. It says there are 20, but I can only find 19 (and you only
need 15 to complete the objective).
You have a time limit, but you should pick up enough to complete the
mission before time runs out. Take the rescued passengers to the
northwest rig and drop them at the landing zone.
Objective 4: Take out the Destroyer
Do not get back in the Mohican. Instead, go pick up some fuel for the
Blackhawk and go straight for the destroyer. You will find an enemy
helicopter, but eight or so rockets will take him out.
Fire away at the guns all over the ship, and when you kill them all,
grab the armor that appears on the back. Then destroy the ship.
Objective 5: Aid the Russians
Grab ammo before you go to the sub. When you get there, shoot the
enemy helicopters and speedboats before rescuing. Once you have all the
Russians, fly west to find a tugboat with a crate on it. Grab it and
return to the sub, where you will find a repair crew waiting for the
crate. Drop it on the deck and go get the Mohican.
Objective 6: Jet Fighters
Make sure to have both fuel and ammo. Head to the rig and just blast
all the enemies and guns you can see. Don't worry about the jet that
is taking off-let it go. Shoot all the other jets you can see,
especially the ones in the elevators (the square holes). In the process
you will reveal ammo crates, so don't worry about ammo.
Objective 7: Secure the Rig
Kill everything left and then destroy the nearby flat building to
"release" the landing zone. Land and you will accomplish the objective
but also go inside the rig. You are looking for the MIA pilot LONGHAUL
and you will have to be careful.
Secret Objective: Rescue STINGER
STINGER is on the largest oil rig in one of the flat buildings. Don't
shoot her!
Quick Ladder Location: blow up the oil tanks on the shore to find not only the
Quick Ladder, but also other bonuses.
******************************
* Mini-Level: Inside the Rig *
* (this is Mission 3) *
******************************
Password: ZNHLGBRJXCG (normally you will not get a password--you will have to
play through Mission 2. However, if you die you restart in the rig
and not outside it. I got this code from Nintendo Power).
Here, the directional pad moves you in the normal way. You have 200 life, 200
bullets and 9 rockets. There are three enemies here; gaurds, gun cams, and
turrets. You should always use rockets on all enemies.
Gaurds: 1 rocket kills them and unless you can dodge VERY WELL, you should use
the rocket.
Gun Cam: 1 rocket kills them and they shoot very fast, so use one!
Turrets: 3 rockets kills them and they are VERY powerful. You will probably
take damage, so fire away.
Also, you can blow up a lot of things hanging around the rig, so use your normal
bullets to do this. You should shoot every barrel and every missile rack that
you see, HOWEVER, don't grab stuff right away. You want to conserve the ammo
crates to stretch out your rockets AND you need to save a few armors for the
final escape.
Objective 1: Destroy the Gun Cams
Track each one down and put a rocket in it. Since you have no fuel to
worry about, slowly move around. You don't want to grab an ammo crate
by accident when you are nearly full.
Objective 2: Enemy Jet Fighters
There are more fighters down here. Use your bullets on them to conserve
rockets.
Objective 3: Rescue Agent
Your buddy is in the back of the rig, and he is well-gaurded. You will
find many turrets on the way, usually several in a row. If you don't
have any rockets left, TURN AROUND AND GET SOME MORE.
You should look around for armor to help you stay alive, but leave one
or two of them laying out for the escape part.
When you find the agent, he will tell you to find the beacon and use
the A button on it to call in the airstrike. He then goes on his way.
Objective 4: Activate the Beacon and Escape
The beacon is also well-gaurded, so keep yourself well-supplied. When
you reach it, it will ask you to press a button on your controller.
Notice that if you press the A-button on YOUR controller, this means
that the pilot character will press the C-button on the beacon. DO NOT
PRESS A!!! Instead, press Y which corresponds to the A-button on the
beacon. You now have 120 seconds to escape.
You should have full armor from the last turret, but if you don't have
ammo go grab the box in the upper right corner (you have plenty of time)
Now as you make your way back to the exit, you have to deal with many
many turrets. Just keep shooting as fast as possible and if you can
see ammo on the map you should grab it. This is the part where leaving
the armor (and ammo, if possible) laying out on the middle of the map
will come in handy. You should stay healthy enough to make it back.
When you get there it will tell you that you completed the mission but
one time a bug in the game made it so that I didn't actually go anywhere
and after time ran out I lost the mission. I hope this doesn't happen
to you also.
*********************
* Mission 4: MEXICO *
*********************
Password: 9G6TCZHLMTY (three lives with STINGER and LEGAL available as copilot)
Malone/Ortega has hired an army of game designers and weapons engineers to
build some new toys. He also has hostages. Tear this foreign operation to
smithereens with your trusty rockets.
NOTE: DO NOT APPROACH the bottom left corner of this map! There is a tank there
that you can not kill with your helicopter, and you will eventually get
your own and fight some identical ones in another area. Don't bother
this one or you will quickly run out of weapons and lives.
Objective 1: Rescue Scout Team
Your advance scout team has been captured. Go to the compound and take
out the gaurds. Then rescue your men from the buildings. Soon you will
learn that the leader is held in the brown building, so land your
chopper and your copilot will get him. A wolverine arrives, so waste
it, and then pick up your copilot and the scout.
Make sure to drop them off because you will need room in your chopper
in a little bit.
Objective 2: Wipe Out Enemy Camp
To the southeast is an enemy camp with lots of armor, soldiers, and
hidden weapons. You have to destroy all the buildings to clear this
objective.
Objective 3: Rescue Defense Contractors
Paratroopers are coming to kill these hostages, so quickly get there.
You should start shooting the gaurds already there, but soon the
paratroopers will start arriving. Shoot them one by one until the
contractors come out. Pick them up and watch out for approaching
wolverines.
Objective 4: Steal GAV Plans
The Ground Assault Vehicle plans are inside two sleek buildings which
you have to blow open. Inside you will find soldiers and AAA cannons,
but don't shoot willy nilly because there are civvies inside and the
plans are on the tables. You need to use your winch to grab them. When
you rescue enough designers, they will tell you that your Mohican is
useless and you should use a GAV to destroy the other GAVs. You need
to use Fuse C to hotwire one.
Objective 5: Steal a GAV and Destroy the Rest
Go to the north side of the GAV pen and kill the guy near the fuse box.
You now have to choose which FUSE to hotwire (choose C). Take the GAV
and start blowing up the others. Make sure to shoot as fast as you
possibly can. There is an armor bonus under one of the GAVs, but leave
it until you are low yourself. This should not be too hard unless you
really suck at shooting. Get back in the Mohican.
Objective 6: Destroy the Factory
The GAV factory can be destroyed with a smart bomb, but before you go
and actually try this, you should clear the path. First, go find the
shed but don't open it. Just kill all the enemies. Then carefully
open it and leave without the smart bomb. Land on the pad to get back
in the GAV and go to the factory. You should run into a GAV which you
can of course destroy easily in your own. Then switch back to the
chopper, go get the smart bomb and deliver it to the factory. This one
will not automatically lower like the first one did; instead you must
press A. There will be a GAV there and you can get him and the factory
in one blast, but just in case you miss, you can go back for a second
one. There won't be any more after that.
Quick Ladder Location: The village in the northwest corner of the map has a few
goodies in its buildings. One is the Quick Ladder.
Extra Life Location: East of the Quick Ladder village is a lonely house with
an extra life in it.

* Mission 5: SAN FRANCISCO *
****************************
Password: NW63VSKYW3W
Malone owns Alcatraz and a decomissioned military base... both are hideouts for
his goons. His onsite general is making trouble, so it's up to you to get in
there to stop these lunatics. At the end, you will land at Alcatraz to storm
their base and rescue LONG HAUL.
Most of this level is clouds with tops of buildings sticking out, but there are
enemies that can shoot from below the clouds. There will be little puffs of
smoke and you can shoot at those to see enemies dying.
Objective 1: Protect Golden Gate and Bay Bridges
The Golden Gate and Bay bridges are marked on your map. When you fly
near the large struts, a hover plane will attack you (one at each strut)
but your copilot will fire at the bombs first (if the plane is not in
the direct line of fire). The bombs will fall off quickly, but you
should lure the planes away so that you can hit them without worrying
about your shots going to the bombs.
Once you clear off the bombs from both bridges, head south.
Objective 2: Destroy Malone's Radio Tower
Malone's general is coordinating his defense with a large radio tower.
It is very easy to destroy, but there are hidden riflemen under the
clouds. Clear them out before concentrating on the tower.
Objective 3: Destroy West Coast Corporate HQ
There are five buildings making up Malone's HQ in San Francisco. There
is a hover plane standing gaurd and soldiers on top of the buildings.
You should attack from the north side to make sure your bullets hit the
building.
Objective 4: Destroy Presidio Army Base
The base is covered in Armadillo tanks. However, there are also several
ammo crates there, so use missiles and rockets as fast as you can.
Open all the buildings to find more stuff, including an extra life.
Objective 5: Destroy Micron Labs and Weapons
The labs are protected by five Land Shark tanks, so use missiles as your
first one or two shots (they are powerful!). Then blow open the labs
and destroy any weapons you find inside.
Objective 6: Secure Homebase and LZ
While you've been kicking Malone's butt, his men have moved in on your
own headquarters! Go down there and take out the squadron of hover
planes that are attacking.
Objective 7: Take Out Malone's General
Malone's general (or "henchman") is nearby in a red sports car. Blow
it up before it drives to safety.
Objective 8: Secure Alcatraz Landing Zone
Before you can enter Alcatraz, you must make a safe landing area. There
are Armadillo tanks, gaurd towers, and over planes here. Blow up any
enemies you can, then land when the zone is clear.
Quick Ladder Location:
Extra Life Locations: There is an extra life in one of the army base buildings,
and another if you kill a hover plane near the bay. It is hovering over
a dock right next to the cloud's edge, slightly north of the bay bridge
(that's the one on the lower right of the map).

* Mini-Level: Alcatraz *
* (counts as Mission 6 *
************************
Password: HGBWDRPTYNP
Inside Alcatraz, you will be looking for LONG HAUL. All the same strategies
from the oil rig mission apply here, except that there are fewer ammo crates
so you may want to kill some lonely gaurds with bullets rather than a rocket.
There are soldiers and turrets here like the rig--soldiers still take one rocket
but turrets take two.
Objective 1: Destroy Sensors
Destroying these will open gates to let you delve further into the
prison. Unlike the guncams from the rig, these do not shoot at you!
You will have to sneak all over the place, sometimes shooting open gates
that the sensors don't open for you.
Objective 2: Capture Blueprints
Along the way, you will find the blueprints. They are gaurded by six
agents, but they only take one rocket to kill. Take them out.
Objective 3: Destroy M-16X Weapons
Halfway through, you will see big crates. Shoot them open, but DON'T
shoot too fast or you may destroy goodies inside! In particular, there
is an armor in one of them.
Objective 4: Rescue LONG HAUL
When you finally destroy the last of the sensors, you will discover
LONG HAUL's location. There's two turrets, so make sure to destroy 'em
before opening LONG HAUL's cell. Then he will show you the way to the
exit, but you have to kill agents and turrets along the way.
If you run too low on ammo, you should have enough lives to just run
after LONG HAUL and make it to the exit.

Password: L6TCW6MJYNX (3 lives, all copilots except LONG HAUL available)
I'm not sure why this password doesn't give you LONG HAUL, since he is
rescued at the end of the last mission no matter what.
While you were hanging out on the west coast, Malone has ordered his minions to
make a move in New York. Although the military has responded, fleeing civilians
are keeping them busy and the task of offense has fallen to you.
This level can be tricky because it's hard to tell which buildings are going to
get in your way and which ones you can fly over. Look for shadows as the best
clue.
Also, curious features on top of buildings (like water towers) can be opened for
bonuses.
Objective 1: Destroy Corporate Headquarters
As soon as you take off, a soldier and a turret start firing at you.
Quickly take them out, then carefully fly to the marked buildings and
destroy them. You will periodically see soldiers and turrets, but not
many heavy enemies besides helicopters.
Objective 2: Rescue Civilians
Go to the two burning buildings and pick up civvies one by one. The
landing zones are marked as "unload civilians" on your map. There will
be soldiers and helicopters popping up to hinder your rescue effort.
Objective 3: Destroy Choppers
You need to destroy 9 choppers. Some are parked, some are flying. Just
tear into them and reload your ammo when necessary.
Objective 4: Rescue NAFTA from WTC
The NAFTA leaders are stuck in the World Trade Center. Go east of the
towers to hit the radar station first, then go in and start rescuing
guys from the hole in the building. After a while, a helipad appears.
Land on it and your copilot will go down into the towers. You then have
to decide which wire to cut. One of the NAFTA guys tells you NOT to cut
the green wire, so I cut the blue one and nothing bad happened. That is
objective 5, so you're done and you can go to the helipad to end the
mission.
Quick Ladder Location: It's just hanging out on a rooftop to the east of your
starting position.

* Mission 8: LAS VEGAS *
************************
Password: GP4SZLWDTFB (3 lives and all copilots available except LONG HAUL)
Now that you have pin-pointed Malone's location in Vegas, you can go in and take
out his organization's main compound. You will have to secure the city before
you make the final assault.
This mission is at night, but all the buildings are covered in neon (good ol'
Vegas!) so you shouldn't crash into anything.
Also, there are TONS of tanks around so you should probably avoid them if you
can rather than duke it out with all of them.
Objective 1: Capture Radar Commander
Go to the mark and blow up the truck that looks like the ones carrying
mirrors from the Hawaii mission. Grab the red-shirted guy who jumps out
and you will find the hidden radars.
Objective 2: Search and Destroy
The radars are everywhere and hard to see. Go to the mark and look for
a little rotating gray dish. One radar is close to a roadblock and you
will get HAMMERED if you go too close. Shoot that radar from a distance
with the building between you and the enemies.
Objective 3: Remove Roadblocks
Go to the marked spots and clear out the enemies harassing the fleeing
civilians. You should fly along the edges of the map to avoid strong
tanks along the roads. Make sure not to blow up the extra life near
one of the roadblocks.
Objective 4: Clear the Strip
Well, I told you to avoid all the tanks, but you gotta take them out so
people can walk on the sidewalk without getting killed. There is a lot
of ammo around, so you should probably use two missiles and a bunch of
rockets for each tank. Also try and shoot open buildings to look for
extra armor.
Objective 5: Knock Out Power Grid
Destroy the marked building to weaken Malone's defenses. Then ruins
will reveal a full complement of bonuses!
NOTE: If it says "danger zone," that means you haven't destroyed the
nearby radar dish. Hit that first, then go in and destroy the turrets.
Objective 6: Malone's Casino
Destroy the turrets around the casino and also the soldiers around the
landing pad. This should be a snap because you picked up full armor
fuel and ammo at the power grid.
Objective 7: Land
If you can't do this one... well, you should switch to Duck Hunt.
Quick Ladder Location:
Extra Life Locations: one of the roadblocks has an extra life (don't go get it
until that objective comes up! It's a danger zone)
There is a round-topped building in the middle of the map with an extra
life in it.

* Mini-Level: Malone's Casino *
* (Mission 9) *

If you blow up the slot machines, you will find a ton of ammo and even a few
armors, so ROCKET ALL ENEMIES!!!!
NOTE: Alert gamer "slasher21774" sends in this tidbit: if you shoot everything
you can find a slot machine that reveals Elvis. So that's where he has
been hiding! Apparently he is unkillable.
Objective 1: Pit Bosses
Track down the pit bosses and kill them. Watch out for machine guns;
they are deadly!
Objective 2: Free Hostages from Cashier Booth
Just blow up the booth and shoot the guy inside. Touch the hostages
to free them.
Objective 3: Rescue VIP
A hot VIP high-roller is held hostage in a back room. It says VIP on
it and you just blow it open like the cashier booth. The VIP will tell
you where you can find a shuttle to Malone's lair.
Objective 4: Clear Machine Guns
The machine guns are deadly and hidden inside little booths. Use two
rocket to blow up the booth, then when the gun is revealed, hit the
gun with a final rocket.
Objective 5: Shuttle Car
One of the little booths hiding machine guns is actually hiding the
shuttle car! Get in.

Password: W7YCLD3PFZ7
This is it... the final battle! You should have no trouble with this level at
all.
Objective 1: Clear Enemy Weapons
Destroy all the marked weapons. Usual tactics apply, but save your
missiles for the Land Shark tanks. If you need to resupply, fly to the
right edge of the map for bonuses.
Objective 2: Destroy Barracks
This is easy; just don't go too far north or some DANGER ZONE stuff will
hit you hard.
Objective 3: Neutralize Control Center
Blow up the control stations and big maps. Keep looking until you hear
"mission complete."
Objective 4: Neutralize Laser Control
Shoot up some more consoles around the laser.
Objective 5: Expose the Laser
Blast open the laser housing (big yellow-gray thing).
Objective 6: Assault Malone's Quarters
Refill ammo if you are low, then go and blow up the turrets and soldiers
and tanks protecting his lair. Then blow open the lair and snag Malone
with your winch (objective 7).
Objective 8: Destroy the Laser
Malone is upset that he's caught, but he thinks he'll get the last laugh
because he is going to blow up a suicide vest he brought with him! You
have 28 seconds to get to the laser and drop Malone on it to win the
game!
