==Tales of Phantasia Walkthrough V 2.01==

"The evil of this world exists only in the hearts of men..."
-Edward D. Morrison
[Intro]
Tales of Phantasia is an RPG released by Namco early 1996 for the Super
Famicom and December of 1998 for the Sony PlayStation.
Unfortunately, it never reached the States. Sad thing, because, Tales of
Phantasia sported a number of unique innovations that set it apart from
most other RPG's. First off, the game was the largest game during its
time, weighing in at roughly 48 megabits. Second off, was the fact that
16 of these 48 megabits were devoted to voice. Characters speak some of
their dialogue in key scenes, and there's even a whole vocalized theme
song! Professional actors were used to breathe life into the main
characters. Finally, the game sported a unique, and interactive, combat
system. Since the game was fairly short on in depth documentation, I've
decided to write this walkthrough to aid you, the non Japanese speaker.
Tales of Phantasia should be available from most importers who still
carry SFC games in stock, and the game has been re-released on PlayStation
with a number of different changes.
[Notice]
If anybody has any other items, weapons, armor, or things I left out of the
walkthrough, please email me at
[email protected] right away, and tell
me what I'm missing! Thanks!
[Thanks]
Thanks to Cless, Sean Daugherty, R. Johnson, Mike Gregerson, Alex M. Lazara, Ska.
[Characters]
Cless Alvein - Fighter - The lead character of the game. A young boy, who,
while out hunting, gets thrown into a remarkable
turn of events. He is fairly shy, and adept with
a sword. He has spiky blond hair, wears a red
bandanna, and a grey suit of armor.
Chester Berkright - Archer - Chester is Cless' best friend. He eagerly joins
Cless to go off hunting at the beginning of the
game. Later, he'll rejoin with Cless. He has blue
hair, carries a bow with him, and has a green
shirt.
Mint Adnade - Healer - A young woman Cless rescues from a dungeon cell.
She'll come in handy, as she'll eventually develop
into a powerful healer. She has dirty blond hair, wears
a white hat and a large white robe, and carries a rod.
Arche Klaine - Magic User - A half-elf with the power of fierce black magic. She
has short pink hair, wears a white shirt and has big
pink parachute pants. She rides around on a broom.
Klarth M. Lester - Summoner - A wise man who knows much about the history of
Dhaos, and has the power to summon powerful
monsters to do his bidding. He covers his hair with
a pointy blue hat, and carries around a book with
him to attack.
[Starting Up]
When you turn the game on, you'll see a line quoted from Edward D. Morrison,
and then the intro begins. The intro shows scenes from the game over a
vocalized theme song. You can skip the intro, which will take you to the
title screen. At the title screen, you can select whether or not you want
a new game, to continue a game, or utilize the sound player. The sound
player will allow you to hear any of the music and SFX in the game, and
features a variety of different DSP modes, equalizers, pitch adjustments,
giving you full control over the aural experience.
[World Map]
The World Map is a classic Mode-7 style map. It resembles the overworld of
Final Fantasy 6. Your character is in the middle of the screen, a map of
the immediate surroundings is in the lower right, and surrounding you are
mountains, cliffs, forests, villages, oceans, and the like. Moving around
on the map is pretty basic. Use the directional keys to move your character
around, the X key to open up your Status screen, and the Start key to
turn the small map in the lower right on or off.
[Area Map]
When you enter a town, dungeon, etc. from the World Map, you'll come to
the Area Map, a map of your immediate surrounding, presented in a much
larger form than the world map. Controls in this area are similar, but
once you get Jet Boots, you can press B to dash, and you can talk and
interact with objects by pressing A.
[Flying the Metal Birds]
When you get the Wing Pack from Harrison, you can fly on the Metal Birds. Press
A on the World Map to activate the Wing Pack, and you'll take to the skies. Press
A to move forward with the birds, B to land on the ground (you can't land on
water), Up to ascend, Down to descend, and Left and Right to turn around.
[Status Screen]
After pressing X, you'll get to the Status Screen. This screen allows you
to modify your character's battle tactics, use items, or magic, keeps
track of each character's status, and gives other assorted info.
At the top of the screen, you can see all the commands you're able to
use. In the middle, you'll see the character's LV, HP, MP, EXP, and
EXP needed to gain a level. At the bottom, you see the Play Time
(Pureitaimu), how long you've been playing for, the Encounter (Enkaunt),
the number of battles you partook in, the Gald (Garudo), the amount of
money you possess, and the Food (Fuudo), the number of foodstuffs you have.
The commands you can use are as follows...
Technique (Tokugi) - Allows you to equip and/or modify your character's
techniques
Item (Aitemu) - Allows you to use an item
Lineup (Tairetsu) - Change the lineup of your party members
Custom (Kasutamu) - Allows you to configure the game
Equip (Soubi) - The screen for equipping items
Tactics (Sakusen) - Change the AI mode a character is presently following
Status (Suteetasu) - Shows the character's current status
Save (Seebu) - Allows you to save your game
Once you select the Technique command, you'll select who's techniques you
want to equip and/or modify. Use the arrow keys to select the slot you
want to put your technique in. You get 2 long range technique slots, and 2
short range technique slots. At the top, you're able to select from
Decide (Kettei) or Cancel (Modo ni modosu). If you've selected a magic
user, using A will allow you to use certain magic spells.
With the Item command, you're able to scroll through a list of items, use
the items, or sort the items. Use A to decide which items to use, or which
sort you want to use. Using L or R will allow you to page your item list up
and down, which is a good thing, because you can have up to 120 item spots
in your inventory :) Pressing up will allow you to go to the sorting
menu, and pressing up again will allow you to view your rare items
(Kichouhin wo Miru).
The Lineup command allows you to change the order of your party members,
and select how close/far apart you want them to be when on the battlefield.
The Custom command allows you to customize a number of aspects of the
game. They are as follows...
Message Speed (Messeejisupiido) - Allows you to change the speed the window
text scrolls past
Key Customize (Kiikasutomaizu) - Allows you to change what each of the
buttons do
Sound Mode (Saundo shutsuryoku) - Allows you to select between Mono, Stereo,
or Surround sound
Encounter Affirm (Enkaunto kakunin) - ???
Targeting (Targeting) - Allows for you to select either Auto, Semi Auto, or
Manual targeting mode.
Voice Techniques (Voice Tokugi) - Turns the voices characters say when using
techniques either on or off.
Voice Accessory (Voice Sonota) - Turns the voices characters say when using
accessories either on or off.
And, after you scroll down all the way, you can get to a spot where you can
change the color of the text windows (Mikata uindoukaraa), and the enemy
windows (Teki uindoukaraa).
Once you select the Equip command, you can choose to equip a number of
weapons, armor, and items, for any character, to any of several positions.
Using the Up and Down keys, you can select a spot where you want to equip
an item, and using the Left and Right keys, you can instantly choose
another character to begin the equipping process with. There are 3 commands
at the top of the screen. They are Equip (Soubi), Remove (Hazana), and
Optimum (Saiteki). Once you select Equip, you can equip in the following
spots...
Weapon (Buki) - The slot where the Weapons go
Body (Karada) - The slot where Armor goes
Shield (Tate) - The slot where Shields go
Head (Atama) - The slot where Helmets go
Arm (Ude) - The slot where Armwear goes
Accessory 1 (Sonoda 1) - The slot where an accessory goes
Accessory 2 (Sonoda 2) - The slot where an accessory goes
Once you select the Tactics command, you're able to change the AI for all
the characters you don't control in battle. Cless doesn't have any AI. The
AI modes are as follows...
???
Once you select the Status command, you'll select who's status you want
to see. Then, a screen pops up, showing everything for the character.
By pressing A, you'll be able to change the name of the character, by
pressing B, you'll be able to leave the status screen. For certain
characters, you're able to see all their Techniques if you press Down
on the control pad at the status screen. Pressing left or right at the
status screen will allow you to see the status of another character,
without having to leave the screen. The Status for a character appears like
this...
Name = Last - The character's first and last name
Class - The character's class
LV - The character's present Level
HP - The character's HP, followed by their maximum HP
TP - The character's TP, followed by their maximum TP

their level
STR - The character's Strength

Defense (Bougyo) - The defense of the armor the character is wearing
Agility (Meichuu) - How fast the piece of equipment is to react
Guts (Kaihi) - Increases the chance of a character defending a blow
And, on the other side...
Weapon (Buki) - Shows which weapon the character has equipped
Body (Karada) - Shows what the character is wearing
Shield (Tate) - Shows the shield the character is equipped with
Head (Atama) - Shows the character's headgear
Arm (Ude) - Shows the character's armwear
Accessory 1 (Sonoda 1) - Shows the character's first accessory
Accessory 2 (Sonoda 2) - Shows the character's second accessory
The Save screen is pretty basic. You're able to choose 1 of 3 slots to
store your game data in. Note that only on the World Map or at specific
energy fields the Save function is allowed. When it's not allowed, the
Save function will appear in grey. Use A to select the slot you want to
save your game in, and B to get back to the main Status Screen.
[Enhanced Linear Motion Battle Description]
Tales of Phantasia uses an innovative new battle system, far different
from most other RPG's. It's dubbed "Enhanced Linear Motion Battle". When
the battle begins, your characters will be in the middle of the screen,
surrounded by enemies on either the left, right, or both sides (if the
enemies are attacking from both sides or the left, the game will warn
you). The battlefield is multiscrolling in either direction.
The other party members will also be in battle, moving around, casting
spells, attacking, etc. One of the primary flaws with the Enhanced
Linear Motion Battle system is that you can only have direct control of
Cless, the lead character.
To attack, you must target the enemy who you want to attack, and then
attack with the A button. If you don't target an enemy, Cless will run
to the nearest enemy to attack. After attacking, Cless will run back to
his original position.
You can open up a menu to change your other character's AI, use magic,
or items.
If you want to run away, hold down "L" or "R", depending in the direction
you want to go in. When you reach the edge of the battlefield, still hold
the button, and a timer will appear. This timer will show you the time
you have left before you're able to escape. Of course, the timer will go
slower if you're fighting strong monsters.
The controls are as follows...
D-Pad - Move Cless to the left or right
A - Target and attack nearest enemy
Up + A - Attack nearest enemy with a lunge
B - Used to attack with the technique in your first slot
Up + B - Used to attack with the technique in your second slot
X - Open up menu
Y - Keep pressing Y to change targets
L, R - Used to run away
And, here is the Menu commands (from left to right)...
Magic (Jumon) - Open a list of magic up for characters able to use magic

[Walkthrough]
What follows is a complete walkthrough for Tales of Phantasia, including
the secret areas, items and enemy lists, and small plot summaries.
[000 - Name Selecting]
Items - N/A
Shops - N/A
Enemies - N/A
Bosses - N/A
After choosing a new game from the title screen, you then have to give
your character a first name. The default first name is "Cless", though
you're able to select a random name. Input the name you want, and then,
when you're done, select Decide (Kettei) from the screen. The game will
then ask you if the name you selected is OK. If you say it's OK, the
game will officially start.
[001 - Intro]
Items - N/A
Shops - N/A
Enemies - N/A
Bosses - N/A
-After entering in your name, you'll see a bunch of guys battling an evil
villain, with an unknown name. They argue with the villain, and tell him,
the so called "God of War" to begone.
-Then, you see the same group of people, standing in front of a strange
symbol. They hold up an amulet to seal the God of War away. After a bunch
of interesting special effects, the God of War has been sealed inside the
pendant.
-The screen fades out, and you see a light flying through a bunch of grey
clouds at a blistering pace. The game's credits accompany this. You can
skip this screen if you wish.
-Now, you see the game's protagonist, Cless, conversing with his father at
a training camp. He approaches his father, Miguel, and asks him how he's
doing. Miguel says he's doing OK, and to tell your mother he'll be home
soon. Then, he says to Cless that he better not lose his special Pendant.
Cless says he'll be careful with it. His father says that the Pendant was
handed down to him through the ages.
-You then see Chester, Cless's best friend, leaving his house. He bodes his
farewell to his sister, Amy. Amy tells him to be careful. Chester calls
Cless, telling him to come on! Miguel then tells Cless that Chester wants to
hang out with him. Cless tells Miguel that Chester and him are planning on
going hunting. Miguel says that's OK and that Cless should be very careful
with the Pendant. Cless understands. Then, your father tells you to take
your time if you want a successful hunt. Cless then tells his mom, Maria,
that he's going to hang out with Chester, and she tells him to take care.
Cless tells his mom not to worry, since he's a sword fighter, and Chester's
a skilled archer. His mom feels relieved, and gives the 2 an Apple Gummy.
Then, Chester joins up, and you now have control over your characters for
the first time.
[002 - Tortoise Village]
Items - N/A
Shops - Inn (10 Gald)
Enemies - N/A
Boss - N/A
-You can wander around the village, now.
-The weapon shop won't sell you any weapons.
-There's a church here, lots of people to talk to, and an inn to relax at.
-When you're finished exploring, leave the village.
-The elder, Tristan, will call you. He'll ask you where you're going.
Chester responds that he's going to the South Forest for hunting purposes.
The elder gives the OK on that.
-Leave the village, now, and fight on the World Map to raise your level and
familiar yourself with the game's battle system. Level 3 is a good level
to take the forest at. Stay at the Tortoise Inn when you're finished
raising levels. Note that at Level 2, Cless gets the "Majinken" technique.
-You can move around on the World Map, but most of the other places are
blocked off for now. Head to the forest in the valley south of Tortoise.
[003 - South Forest]
Items - Life Bottle
Shops - N/A
Enemies - G. Bee, Bugbear, Owl
Boss - Boar x1, Boar Child x3
-Immediately after getting to the forest, Chester spots a boar. The
boar sweats, then takes off. The hunt is on!
-Search for the Life Bottle in the forest.
-Southeast of where you found the Life Bottle, you'll spot the boar again.
The boar runs off, once more, though.
-Moving further along, you'll see a destroyed tree. Chester leaves, to
fulfill the hunt, and Cless gazes at the tree. A spirit appears in front
of the tree and tells how the tree is injured and needs curing. The
spirit then disappears. Chester comes back and wonders what happened. Then,
the boar appears. It rushes into Cless, and the boss battle begins!
-As soon as the battle starts, the boar will rush at you. Be quick to the
attack. The Boar utilizes a hit and run tactic. When he's far away from
you, blast him with Majinken. Ignore the cubs for now, and devote all your
energy to blasting away the Boar. When you're done, you'll get 10 Exp. and
60 Gald.
-Cless and Chester boast to each other about their successful hunt. Then,
the village's warning signal goes off. Hurry back to the village!
[004 - Tortoise Village, Destroyed]
Items - Knight's Saber
Shops - N/A
Enemies - N/A
Boss - N/A
-Tortoise has been attacked. Angry Chester runs off to find out if his
family is still all right.
-You see children, adults, and the like, lying on the ground, slaughtered.
-Go near your house. You'll see your dad, on the ground, dead. Then, your
mom leaves your house, stumbling, and falls down in front of you. Rain
pours down. Your mom tells you that the village is no longer safe, and that
you should head north to Euclid Town and live with your uncle, Orson. Then,
she says how the attackers were after your Pendant. After that, she
dies... Cless screams out her name, but alas, she is dead...
-Cless goes to see Chester, sobbing over the body of his sister, Amy.
Chester notes how the whole village has been slaughtered. He tells you to
leave, and that he's in no position to go. You tell him you're heading
up north, to Euclid.
-As you leave Chester's house, your pendant glows. Cless wonders why the
attackers wanted his Pendant so much.
-Before you leave the destroyed Tortoise, go back to your house, and, on
the top floor, take the Knight's Saber.
-Leave the ruins of the village, and head north. You'll come to a mountain
pass.
[005 - Mountain Pass]

-When you enter the Mountain Pass you'll see a man, turned into stone. You
ponder to yourself why that happened.
-A nomad is here, selling items. Purchase whatever you need here.
-You can leave the valley, and continue to Euclid, if you head west of where
the nomad and the stone man are located. But, if you hold the A button,
you're able to push the stone man to the side, and head to the north.
-Treasures and experience are to be found to the north.
-Once you get the 2 treasures, leave to the west, and you'll come out on
the other end of the Mountain Pass.

Enemies - N/A
Boss - N/A
-As you approach Euclid, you'll notice that the bridge to the northeast
of the Town And Castle is down.
-The guards won't let you enter the castle, but if you enter the town
part of Euclid, Cless will say to himself how he needs to find his uncle.
-A lot of talk around the town is about a juggling man in the central
square.
-In a house in the northwest of town, you'll meet with your uncle, Orson.
Orson asks him about what happened in Tortoise Village, and Cless gives him
the sorrowful news of what happened. Orson's wife, Jean, comforts Cless.
-Go and talk to Orson again. He'll ask you if you want to stay the night.
Do it.
-That night, you find out that Orson set you up! Soldiers come to your room.
Cless will curse, and they take him away. Orson apologizes to Cless for what
happened...
-Now, the game flashes to a screenshot of the ruined Tortoise Village.
Chester is standing over Amy's grave, then he hears footsteps. He goes and
hides behind a tree.
-The soldiers take Cless to the inside of the castle. They speak to a guy
who seems to be their leader, and then their leader removes the Pendant
from Cless's chest.
-Then, the leader walks past a mirror, and a ghost appears in it. Cless is
shocked at what just occured.
-The soldiers throw him in a cell. Cless screams out obscenities. Looks like
you need to find a way out, now.
[007 - Jail Cell]
Items - Long Sword, Cheese, Apple Gummy, Wood Shield, Apple Gummy, 1000
Gald, Savory
Shops - N/A
Enemies - Bugbear, Orc Jelly
Boss - Spend Devil x1, G. Slug x2
-Search the fissure in your jail cell. It's too small for you to fit inside.
-Investigate it again, and you'll hear a voice call to you. It'll tell you
it's the spirit inside your earring, and will tell you to return to the
fissure. Investigate it a third time, and it will ask if you want to
utilize the power of your earring. Do it, and the fissure will burst
open, allowing you entry.
-There's a corpse in the next room. Investigate it to find a Long Sword.
Equip this sword, and you'll be able to pick the locks in the jail
cells.
-Search around, look for Cheese in the upper right corner of the jail.
-Open the cell with the girl in it. Talk to her. You'll introduce yourself,
and she'll introduce herself as Mint. She'll tell you she's looking for
her mom.
-You can't go all the way to the left in the jail, since Cless warns that
someone might discover your attempted jailbreak.
-Go to the sewer grate. Mint wants you two to jump down, into the sewer.
Open the grate, and do it.
-You'll have Mint's support from now on.
-You'll see a strange magic field. Cless wonders what it is, and Mint tells
him that it's a special field with which you can save your game on.
-Investigate the sewers, get treasures, and find the second Save Point.
-Save, then you'll approach a flying creature. The flying creature will
then attack, and you have to fight the bosses, 1 Spend Devil, and 3 G.
Slugs.
-The Slugs won't pose much of a threat, but the Spend Devil has the ability
to fly up in the air to avoid attacks. Attack the Spend Devil when it's
near the ground, and take on the G. Slugs in the meantime. This battle
shouldn't be difficult at all, as long as Mint has First Aid.
-After the battle, you'll exit the sewer. You'll come to a forest. Then, a
slug will attack Mint. Cless warns her, then he fends off the slug for her.
He gets poisoned from fending off the slug, and then collapses. Meanwhile,
footsteps are heard, and Mint runs and hides him...
[008 - Morrison's House]

Enemies - N/A
Boss - N/A
-Cless wakes up in a house. A man stands over his bed, introducing himself
as Trinix D. Morrison.
-Mint enters and asks you how you're feeling. You'll then get up out of
bed to walk around.
-Search around, explore your surroundings.
-It seems like Morrison's daughter has the hots for you! :)
-Go to leave, and you'll see an arrow fly at the tree nearby.
-The person who shot that arrow is Chester!
-Morrison sees Chester, and wonder if you and Chester know each other. Cless
tells him how they're good friends.
-It seems Morrison is familiar with Maria and Miguel. He heard what happened
in Tortoise, and then provides you with his comforts. Mint looks sad when
hearing about Cless's family, as she's reminded of her own...
-Cless tells Morrison the story of his Pendant, and Morrison is astonished,
yet frightened.
-He leaves, and Cless, Mint, and Chester wonder about Morrison's odd behavior
in the kitchen.
-Then, a knock comes on the door. It's Tristan, elder of Tortoise! He made
it out of Tortoise alive, too... He's an old friend of Morrison. Tristan
tells you that he believes in you, and your earring, who helped you get
out of the jail, will tell you the same sooting words...
-Now, leave Morrison's House, and enter the cave to the east.
[009 Underground Temple]
Items - Apple Gummy, Protect Ring, Spectacles, Hourglass, Chain Mail, Rune
Bottle Cheese, Orange Gummy, Cheese, Panacea Bottle, Creamy
Cheese, Chain Mail, Sage, Mix Gummy, Lace Ruby
Shops - N/A
Enemies - G. Slug, Bugbear, Living Dead, Ghoul, Skeleton
Boss - Golem x1
-You'll meet Tristan soon after entering the cave. He tells you that
Morrison is inside here. He wants you to go look for Morrison, and Cless
complies.
-He gives you the special technique, Majinhienkyaku, but for some reason,
you're unable to equip it.
-Go north, and you'll be in a temple-like area.
-In each of the rooms of the long hallway, you can open up the coffins. From
out of the coffins comes a Living Dead. Beating the Living Dead in each of
the coffins will net you an item. From the left, the items are Protect Ring,
Spectacles, Hourglass, Chain Mail, and Rune Bottle.
-The middle door of the long hallway is locked. You'll come back here in a
bit, but first, go down the stairway all the way in the right corner.
-In the room with the horizontal line of statues, if you search the third
statue, you'll click on a switch, and this switch will place 2 secret
treasures in the room directly south of it.
-Look around this area, for treasure, and other stuff. Eventually, you'll
reach a Save Point, and a strange statue. Save, and investigate the statue.
-The Golem will attack you from behind! Defeating the Golem is quite
simple, though. Just pile on your techniques, while the other characters
attack it.
-Once the Golem dies, you can push the statue. Push it on the switch in the
same room to open the stuck door.
-Enter this door, and collect the Lace Ruby. This'll be your key to opening
some more of this dungeon's doors.
-Return to the room with all the doors and the coffins behind them. The big
door, which is locked, will now open when you have the Lace Ruby in hand.
-Step in the teleporter in the next room. You'll now be in a lava cavern with
floating platforms.
[010 Underground Temple Lava Caverns/Deeper In]
Items - Reverse Doll, Creamy Cheese, Rabbit Symbol, Lavendar
Shops - N/A
Enemies - Ferocious, Living Dead, Ghoul, Skeleton
Boss - Golem x2
-In here, get all the treasures, and search for a lever on the wall. Pulling
this lever will stretch out one of the nearby floors, so you can release an
otherwise unaccessible floating platform.
-While riding this platform, the Lace Ruby will slip out of Cless's pocket.
-After riding it, you'll be on a big floor, with a locked door, a special
field that will give you brief levitation, and the Lace Ruby.
-Get the Lace Ruby, but it'll slip again, and fall down into the bottom
floor of the Lava Caverns.
-Step on the levitation platform, then hustle to the basement (the stairs
are over by the teleporter where you first entered the Lava Caverns).
Float over the damaging floors and get the Lace Ruby. If you explore
around the basement, you might find a Lavendar in a chest.
-Use the Lace Ruby on the locked door over by the levitation platform,
and enter. You'll come to a room with a Save Point.
-Save, and head further north. 2 Golems will attack from both sides.
-They haven't gotten any more difficult, so if you rush at the one
attacking from the left, defeat it with your most powerful techs,
then take care of the one on the right, they should be no problem.
-You'll see Morrison, calling out to these knights... And Marce Whardol. Marce
answers, then turns around. He's shocked to see Cless and crew.
-Marce walks up to the strange coffin. Morrison says "Oh... God!", and Marce
laughs. He puts Cless's pendant on the coffin, then the field surrounding
it disappears, and all the surrounding orbs smash.
-Chester wonders what's going on... Marce telss him that he's trying to revive
the evil present in the coffin.
-100 years ago, the Valhalla Knights sealed off this evil in a coffin. Cless's
pendant was the key to opening this coffin. This evil is Dhaos.
-Morrison tells how Dhaos is Marce's boss, then tells that it's up to you
to stop Dhaos.
-Cless and crew approach Marce's knights, and then an explosion occurs.
-Dhaos appears, surrounded by 2 glowing orbs. Marce introduces himself to Dhaos.
-Dhaos then proceeds to attack Marce. He shoots out an energy wave that destroys
Marce's soldiers. Marce, Morrison, and your crew barely slide out of the way.
-Marce asks what gives, then subsequently gets blown away.
-Dhaos charges, and Chester says "Shiiit!" Morrison starts praying for the party to
escape.
-Chester charges Dhaos, stopping the spell...
-Mint and Cless are then warped to a new area.
-Morrison then goes to help the injured Chester...
-Dhaos then disappears in a flash of light.

-Cless and Mint wake up on a deserted plain, with heavy wind blowing.
-Cless calls out Chester's name. He wonders where he is, then sees Mint, and calls her
name. She awakes, and asks where they are...
-They go for a walk, then take a look at the sunset, in one of the most graphically
amazing scenes in any game. She says "Beautiful...". Then Cless asks where Chester
and Morrison are. Mint says they were left behind at the temple.
-Mint says to Cless that they need to find out where they are.
-Cless gets an idea... He tells that Morrison had a book. He opens it, and it says
that when Dhaos is revived, a party of warriors will combat him... Cless and Mint
and some others. Dhaos's power was sealed inside a pendant, the same one which was
handed down to the members of the Alvein family.
-Cless tells Mint that they have a prophecy to fulfill.
-Mint says that Chester was such a good friend. Cless cries out his name again...
-Mint says... "Surely Chester's back at the temple!"
-Cless then utters another nasty word :)
-They leave, and you're over by a village in a world that looks strangely familiar.

-As you approach the center of town, a villager is gossipping... "Really...?".
-Cless interrupts... "Sorry for interrupting, but where are we?".
-The Elder walks over, introduces himself, then asks who you are.
-Cless says he's from Tortoise Village, and the girl's name is Mint.
-Mint bows. The Elder never heard of Tortoise. He notices that Mint's a magic
user, then asks you to follow him to his house.
-His name is Lenios. He says he's not feeling good, so Mint goes over and uses
First Aid on him. He's shocked... He then charges up a fireball, and shoots it.
Cless says "Amazing!".
-Mint asks if Lenios knows anything about Dhaos. Lenios is astonished. He says that
Dhaos has recently been sealed away. Then Cless and Mint ask where they are.
-The Elder says "Aselia Planet, year 4202".
-Cless and Mint both shout out "That's 100 years ago!".
-Then, a townsperson barges in the Elder's house, and bitches at the Elder for
hitting him with a fireball. :)
-Nightfall comes. Cless tells the Elder how he got here... Then, the Elder says
Dhaos was sealed away by someone with Elf Blood. The guy's name was Klarth
Morrison from Euclid Village in the north. Cless thanks the Elder.
-The Elder tells them to get some rest. But, there's only 2 beds, and one of them
is taken... Mint is now sweating like mad. :)
-Cless is embarassed too, so he goes to sleep on the floor. WHAT A DUMBASS! :)
-Cless then goes off dreaming... 100 years in the past, same world, he thinks. He
wonders what became of Morrison and Chester.
-Mint asks him if he's OK down there. She then gives him a blanket.
-When you awake, talk to the Elder's wife. You'll then get the Medium Food Sack!
-Then, if you talk to the Elder again, he just tells you that Klarth is in Euclid.

now.
-There's a Mix Gummy behind the Inn, 1000 Gald behind the Weapon Shop, and a Charm Bottle
in the northeast corner of town (though it'll take some effort to get).
-In the center of town, you'll see a band playing. You can donate 1, 10, 100, or 1000 Gald
to them.
-There are two people in this village, Elwin and Nancy, who want to get together, but never
can seem to meet each other. You need to get them together to pass a point a bit later in
the game, so why not start now?
-Talk to the lady sitting by the tree near the south exit of town. She'll ask who you are,
and you introduce yourself. Mint will get mad at you, thinking you have the hots for her
or something, but after talking to her again, she'll tell you she wants to be set up with
someone named Elwin.
-Elwin is in the weapon shop. You tell him that some cute girl was looking for him.
-Talk to the girl by the tree again, she introduces herself as Nancy.
-And, talk to Elwin again...
-Keep talking to them both until they leave Euclid to the town of Venetwia in the far north.
-In a house north of town, you'll see a guy reading some books. Mint asks if he's Klarth. He
says yes, then Mint says she heard that he has magic power... He says that he used some of
his magic power to seal away the demon, Dhaos. Then, he says, you never introduced yourselves.
Mint sweats, then does so. Then, he talks a bit about Dhaos.
-A woman walks in the room... Klarth shouts "Mirald!". She sees you, and gets mad that you're
disturbing her residence... Her and Klarth get into an argument.
-At the kitchen table, Mint asks Klarth to join... Klarth is unsure... Will he decide to use
his powers as a half-elf once again? Mirald doesn't want him to go, but he does so, and
tells you to head to Lawnvalley, up in the northeast.

-Go to the house northeast of Euclid, in the small mountain valley. Klarth will tell you
that this is Lawnvalley.
-Enter the house, and meet Bart. He says he's looking for his daughter, Arche, with pink
hair and a ponytail.
-He also mentions a disturbance of the Sylphs up in the north mountain.
-North of his house, you can get to the Sylphs Mountain. This is your next goal.
[017 Sylphs Mountain]
Items - Blue Ribbon, Spectacles, Kite Shield, Amber Cloak, Apple Gummy, Talisman, Rune
Bottle, Charm Bottle
Shops - N/A
Enemies - Harpy, Ghast, Hellmaster
Bosses - Sylph x3
-Use the Mattock on the rocks blocking entrance to the mountain.
-Watch out for the wind. There are a few Sylphs near it. Kill them to stop it.
-The first 2 Sylphs can be taken out easily with Shouosouraizan, but the next two will
be a bit more difficult. Use your jumping attacks to kill them. And, watch out for Storm!
-Go north, past the wind. There's a save point there. Now, pass through the tornados, and
into the cave. Let the wind in there take you to a hole, and use the rope to climb
down into the hole.
-In the next area, you can knock down the big dirt walls by pressing A next to them a
couple of times.
-Find the exit, and you'll be fighting 3 more Sylphs. Take them out.
-Now, go back to the save point in the cave, and head north.
-You'll be over by some gas. There's a big rock over here, and Cless'll mention to you that
you can move it.
-Push it onto the orange hole in the gas room, and the gas will stop.
-Past the gas, go down the hole. A demon will have fallen from the sky.
-There's another save point here, and 2 holes you need to clog up. This room is filled
with gas, also.
-If you see a Hellmaster in here, RUN! He uses the Summon Demon attack which'll make
mincemeat out of your party.
-Clog up the two orange holes with the boulders. The gas will stop, and all the Sylphs
will be gone.
-You can now get all the treasures blocked by Sylphs earlier in the level.
-Go to the Summit of the mountain, and over the bridges, you'll come to a tree.
-A Sylph will appear by the tree, thanking you for stopping the gas in the cave.
-She'll tell you to go try and heal Yggdrasil, the giant tree south of Beladam, and give
you the Element Orb.

tree. That's Martel, spirit of Yggdrasil. She tells how Mana is now disappearing from the
world... And, 100 years later, the Mana will be all gone. The disappearance of Mana is
linked to the revival of Dhaos.
-Mint gets an idea, and tries to use First Aid on the tree, but it doesn't work. The
coming of Dhaos seems inevitable...
-Klarth says to help the tree, and save the world, they need to head to Alvanista, and the
Morla Gallery there. A boat to Alvanista can be found in Venetwia.

-There's a young girl towards the northern exit of the village. The party asks her what
happened, but she doesn't know.
-Cless has a flashback of when his village was destroyed.
-The party introduces themselves to the girl. The girl does the same. Her name is Lea
Scarlet. They offer to protect her, and you get an NPC in your party.
-Now, head north of Harmel, up to Venetwia.

-Venetwia is far north of Harmel. It's a giant port town, where you can get the boat to
Alvanista.
-There's a man in a gondola. You can get in the gondola for 50 Gald, and choose to go
to either 1. Weapon Shop, 2. Armor Shop, 3. Elder's House, or 4. Item Shop. Press B to
speed up the gondola when you're in it.
-There are 2 ships in the harbor, but you can't board either of them at the moment.
-Now you're gonna have to finish the little Elwin and Nancy quest from before. If you
haven't already got them to leave Euclid, return to Euclid and keep chatting with them.
-Nancy is in the Inn, now. Talk to her and she'll ask you if you know the girl who could
ride on wind. And, she asks if Elwin is around.
-Elwin's in the Liott Library. Talk to him there.
-Return to Nancy, and you'll tell her that Elwin wants to meet her at Venetwia's fountain.
-Find Nancy at the fountain and talk... The two will meet, and fall in love.
-Now, go to the top of the Liott Library. Elwin's dad, Dog, doesn't like Nancy, and won't
let his son go out with her. Nancy takes off, and Elwin takes off. Dog gets real upset.
-Search for them again. Elwin's hiding in the colums behind the fountain. Talk to him.
Klarth will tell him that he's old enough to make his own decisions, and not listen to
his father.
-After meeting with Elwin again, go to the Elder's House.
-The Elder is related to Lenios, elder of Beladam.
-The people in the Elder's House will tell you about a Half Elf appearing around Demitel's
Manor, and a nearby kingdom, Alvanista.
-Talk to everybody in the Elder's House, and then go to the left boat in the Harbor.
-Talk to the Captain. He'll be able to take you to Demitel's Manor, for 1600 Gald.

-After you dock in the harbor on Demitel's island, you can find a Mix Gummy.
-Walk to the Manor. Cless and Klarth concur that Demitel was the one who destroyed Harmel.
Lea says there's weird power coming from inside the Manor.
-Enter the manor. In the first room, there's a bunch of prisms.
-In the eastern hall, there's a locked door, and a room filled with treasures.
-In the western hall, there's a room with a Save Point in it, a Bathroom :), and Demitel's
Chamber.
-There's a ?HERB hidden in the corner of Demitel's Chamber, and in the cabinet above it,
you'll get a Key.
-Return to the door in the eastern hallway that was locked. Open it, and you'll be in a
menagerie.
-There's a tree blocking the path of light. Keep searching the tree.
-The party'll remark how funny the tree looks.
-Eventually, after you keep searching it, it'll grow eyes.
-You'll now battle 2 Orcrots. The Apple Throw attack could take a good deal of power off
of you quite easily. A good trick is to use frequent Pikohans, and back them into a
corner.
-Once you defeat the Orcrots, return to the room with all the prisms. Open the curtains
so light shines inside the room. Move the prisms until light hits both of the two orbs
(it's real easy).
-A staircase will open to the basement. Go down it.
-In the basement dungeon, there are some treasures, and a save point.
-North of the save point, enter the room.
-A man will say "I've been waiting for you!"... Cless says "You must be Demitel!", and the
man says "How did you know?"... Cless blames him for destroying Lea's village, and
Demitel says he did that on purpose. He laughs at the party, then Lea leaves. Cless gets
real mad at Demitel, and you'll fight him.
-Fight with 2 Golems, 2 Lilitis, and Demitel. This is a very tough fight. Run to Demitel
and take him out, preventing him from doing the lethal Summon Demon attack. Don't worry
about the Golems or Lilitis, just let Mint and Klarth destroy them. Using Mint's Delay
spell on Demitel helps. Once you've beaten Demitel, the remainder of the battle is a
cinch, but the Lilitis teleport all over the place, and cast some nasty spells.
-Lea returns after your victory. She thanks you with all her heart, then she falls to
the floor.
-An angel appears, taking her soul away. The party is shocked.
-Then, Lea wakes up...
-The party's like... "Lea?"...
-Then, she says "I'm not Lea. I'm Arche!".
-You return to Bart's House, and he's shocked to see Arche.
-She apologizes for leaving Bart, and sheds a tear while hugging her dad.
-The party mistakes Arche for Lea again. Then, she asks you what you think of her new
ponytail.
-She says she has magic power, and tricked you guys into thinking she was Lea.
-She then rides on a broom, and gives you an Aquamarine Ruby.
-Cless then urges the party to go to Alvanista Castle.

Pay up.
-On the boat, they'll lose themselves looking at the endless ocean.
-Then, a man, Meyer, comes over and discusses Alvanista's Morla Gallery, where a Dwarf
lurks.
-Enter the boat now. Meyer feels like buyin' a round for everyone. Klarth likes that!
-After an hour of drinking... Klarth and Meyer are having a toast.
-After two hours of drinking... Arche starts drinking. Klarth and Meyer are discussing
Dhaos.
-After three hors of drinking... Arche is asleep. Meyer and Klarth are joking around.
Meyer tells Klarth that the kingdom of Alvanista has connections with Dhaos.
-Then, Arche is real drunk. Klarth drags Arche out of her chair, into the bed. She doesn't
want to go, but ends up going.
-They fall asleep, all 4 of them.
-In the morning, Meyer knocks on the door. Klarth gets pissed at Meyer for waking him up.
He smacks Meyer, then falls to the floor, obviously having a bad hangover.
-Now, Cless wakes up, and senses something's wrong. He tries to get Mint up, but she's
too tired, and Arche and Klarth are too drunk to travel with him.
-Go to the deck of the ship, and you'll see Meyer. Cless suspects that he got the party
drunk on purpose. Then, he laughs and turns into a demon.
-You have to fight him. He's fast, but weak. Use your best hissatsuwaza, and healing
items when you're low on health. It shouldn't be too hard.'
-After beating him, the party asks Cres what happened. Cless tells everybody. Klarth
says he had a feeling that Meyer was working for Dhaos.
-The ship finally gets to Alvanista. Mint and Arche thank the captain, and you're off to
explore this new continent!

-To defeat Jamil, use heavy spells. Take out the 2 Ares first. Jamil is weak against wind
based attacks. Don't attack Jamil when her shield is up.
-After the defeat, Cless breathes a sigh of relief.
-Rayard asks what happened, and Mint quickly interrupts trying to explain... ("my party..."),
then Rayard shouts out "Aaa! Strangers!". Mint's like "Eh...?"...
-Guards come, and asks the prince what happened.
-The prince says that strangers came into his room, then gestures at the guard to take the
party away.
-Klarth tries to explain to the guards what happened, and Arche backs up Klarth's statements,
but alas, they're taken away to the jail.
-A strange lady, named Runeglom, asks to see the party in jail.
-Klarth explains all that happened with Rayard to Runeglom.
-She's surprised, then they're taken to the King. Klarth tells the king that a servant of
Dhaos was controlling the prince, and the King is now shocked.
-Runeglom tells you how Dhaos is gonna attack Mid Galds, the city closest to his castle,
then begin attacking the world. She then gives you Gungnir, the weapon bestowed to her by
gods, and gives you a Black Onyx.
-She tells you to go to Morla Gallery to find out more about Gungnir and the secrets of the
Gods, and that the Adventurer's Guild knows a lot about the Gallery.
-In the hall south of Prince Rayard's room, a lady'll sell you the Tractor Beam for 4000

-North of the harbor to Frayland, you can find the Morla Gallery inside a mountain cave.
-The guard stops you before entering. You'll tell him you have the pass card, so you're
allowed entrance.
-On the first floor, search for the lever. It'll open the door to the room to the right.
-Descend to the 2nd floor. You'll find a sign there that tells you to push the stone
statue on a switch to open the door to treasures and the lever.
-Hitting this lever will open the door all the way in the rightmost room.
-On the third floor, there are on and off switches. On will cast a levitation spell on you,
and off will turn it off.
-Use these to make it through the 2 switches blocking the door, then turn it off to enter
the door.
-In the next room, push the statue. It's on the switch, but when it's off, the door opens,
allowing you access to the 4th floor.
-On the 4th floor, there's a stick in the wall. Keep searching it until you're able to
pull it, and it'll open a wall to the next area.
-A guy on this floor will say "Shit, I can't find my way out of here!".
-Next, there's 2 doors, one to the left and the other to the right. In the right door, there's
a nun walking around and 2 switches. When the nun is on one switch, step on the other to
get a Rune Bottle.
-In the left door, there's a sign that says "Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right".
-Nearby, you should walk over the switches in the order the sign says to open the southern
door.
-In the southern door, there's a save point, lever, and both an up and down stair. Hit the
lever to open the door to the up stair, which'll take you directly to the entrance. The
down stair provides a direct route to the bottom floor, but another door blocks it.
-Press switch on the nearby floor to open door in the room with switches in each of the 4
directions.
-In this room, push the statue on the top switch to open the door to floor 5.

water to hit switch.
-Now, find the door you opened, and enter the room to go to the 6th floor.
-On floor six, enter the door to another dark room.
-Watch out for spikes here... Sometimes you'll need to walk over them.
-To get the treasure in the 6th floor, the Lemon Gummy, go to the room with 3 status in it,
and behind the 3rd statue is a lever that opens way to the treasure.
-In the 7th floor, there's a save point and an unlit torch... Stand a bit back and shoot
your Ring's laser at the torch to open a warp to another room.
-In this room, go around full-swing to get the treasure.
-You'll warp back to the save point room. Go warp to the circle room again.
-Keep repeating, getting teasures. Eventually, you'll come to a room with 5 candlebras. Use
your Ring to light both sides of the candlebras for all of them. Then, the door will open.
-The next room is easy to figure out... Follow the maze to the lit room with water in it.
-In this room, knock down the stone wall then light the candlebra to open door... Stairs
down are beyond the door.
-On the 8th floor, there's a locked door and a candlebra. If you light the candlebra, lasers
will fire out at you! Stand next to the candlebra, and search it for a switch. Press the
switch to open the door.
-In the next room, run the gauntlet of spikes, then go to the southern room. Enter the door
in that room to get to the 9th floor.
-On the ninth floor, hit the lever to make drops of water fall into the holes, then run
quickly over the holes. Then hit the western lever. This'll open up the route all the way
back to the top of the Morla Gallery.
-Go to the north room now, and flip the switch to open the door near the beginning of floor 9.
-This door has the stairs down to the bottom floor in it.
-In floor 10, get the chest, save, hit the 2 levers and step in the platform to appear to
warp to a new room.
-You'll come to a stone now. Cless wonders what it is.
-Arche takes a look. It's a statue of "Primal Elven Lore", made by her ancestors... She
learns a bit about her half elfishness, how her father married an elven woman, and how elves
can control the 4 elements. It then tells you the order to place the elements in in the room
below. The scorching fire goes to the north, the reliable earth to the south, the waves of
purity to the west, and the almighty wind to the east.
-Step in the right platform, now, and Cless'll wonder what's going on. Klarth says he has some
business to take care of in here.
-In this room, there are 4 directions to go in, and at each spot, you're asked to place an
Element. Place Ifrit to the north, Gnome to the south, Undine to the west, and Sylph to the
east.
-Then, a voice will call you, Klarth wonders who it is. The voice tells you to step in the
right warp to find out.
-Go to the right platform, and you'll meet a ghost, Maxwell, who attacks you.
-Maxwell has no real weaknesses, your best bet is to trap him between your characters, dizzy
him, and beat him. His Molecular Attack will decimate you if you're not careful. He'll turn
into a ball and ricochets across the screen, causing massive damage.
-When you're through with him, he'll give you a Turquoise, and offer Maxwell his power.
-In the next room, you can find a bunch of treasures.
-Collect them all, then take the escape route you made on the 9th floor back.

-Talk to Runeglom way back at Alvanista Castle, in the room south of Prince Rayard's.
-Tell her of your successes in Morla. She'll give you a letter of inquiry and tell you to
seek out Edward.
-She says "Give my best regards to Edward!"
-Go to the house west of Alvanista. Knock on the door. Klarth introduces himself and Cless's
party to Edward's wife, Lilith.
-Lilith tells the party that Edward hasn't returned from Frayland.
-Go to Frayland to search for Edward. He knows much about the world and defeating Dhaos.
-Head to Olive, and you'll meet a guy there. You ask, awkwardly, if he's Edward. He says
he isn't, and that Edward went to an oasis.
-Go to the oasis southeast of Olive, through the small mountain valley.
-Look for a Flare Mantle and Rune Bottle here.
-You'll see a man and his dog here. Talk to the man. The man says "Edward"? "Try the northern
oasis".
-Further north of the oasis is another one. Inside here, you'll find a Recure Bottle in the
chest.
-The guy here says he's not Edward, and that Edward went further north.
-Near the northern tip of Frayland is the third oasis.
-There are a bunch of cats roaming around here, and a man.
-The man tells you that you should check back at Olive for Edward.
-Return to Olive... Cless wonders where Edward is.
-Cless says to the guy who informed them of Edward's trip to the oasis, and asks "Are you
sure you're not Edward?".
-The man says nope.
-Go back to all 3 oases, and talk to the guys again.
-Then, return to Olive, where the innkeeper will tell you that Edward was wounded and needs
the healing energy of 5 Basilisk Scales to continue.
-Now, on the Frayland continent, you'll randomly fight Basilisks. Every time you defeat one,
you get a Basilisk's Scale.
-Talk to the Olive Innkeeper after collecting 5 Scales. You'll stay at the Inn.
-In the morning, Edward will have arrived.
-Cless and Mint are shocked when they find out Edward is an ancestor of Trinix Morrison.
-They talk to him about what happened with Rayard, and the adventures in acquiring the Scales.
-He then tells you about an elf colony in Ymir Forest, and to ask Runeglom about it.
-Then, he tells you he has stuff to take care of in Mid Galds, and he thanks you for your
help in curing him.
-Before he leaves, Cless calls to him, showing him Morrison's Book.
-Cless tells him how him and Mint are from the future.
-Then, Mint tells Arche how her and Cless are from 100 years in the future, and Arche is
shocked.
-Cless tells Edward about what happened in Dhaos' Temple, and how him and Mint got stuck
in the past... Then Cless wishes Edward luck in Mid Galds.
-Klarth then asks "Shall we go back to Alvanista and ask Runeglom about the elves?".
-Return to Runeglom. She asks what Edward had to say about the letter she had for him.
-Klarth tells her about Ymir. She says it's a forest to the far south.
-Back in Alvanista, search for Elwin and Nancy (in the second Item shop). Then, return to
Dog in Venetwia. You have the option of telling Dog where Elwin and Nancy are. Say that
you do, then he'll finally accept their love. Talk to Elwin and Nancy back in Alvanista,
and tell them the news.
-After doing this, return to Runeglom, and she'll give you the Alvanista Emblem, to allow
you to pass the guard in front of Ymir Lake.
-On the way out of the castle, Arche will leave, mentioning her half-elf origin. Leave
Alvanista, and she'll put on a disguise.

party is let into the village, and taken to a house to rest.

right, right, up.
-In the lower right area, you'll find a save point by the pond.
-Then, north of the save point is a tablet.
-Brambald says that the tablet tells the origin of his race. The valiant king was Ragnarok,
he created the world, and his power is enthrusted in this tablet.
-Brambald casts a spell, beams of light shine on the tablet, and 2 gems fall from the sky.
-He says that these gems hold the power of Luna, and they'll open up the "Tower of the 12
Zodiac Signs" near Midgalds. The power of Luna is there.
-Then, you'll get the Moon Stone and Topaz.
-Return back to the village.
-An elf will tell you a Half Elf was captured in the village.
-The party runs over to find who else but Arche.
-Brambald asks if you know her... You say "Of course".
-He says that the elves are gonna kill her, but then a woman runs right out of the Inn, and
tells the elves to stop. She apologizes to Arche for the mess.
-Brambald apologizes and then unties Arche. The party goes to leave.
-On the way out, Arche stops. The party and the nearby guards wonder what she's doing.
-Arche says she wants to see the lady that saved her, but the guards forbid her from doing so.
-She asks why she can't see her own mother...
-Cless says "Arche"... The party leaves and is refused entrance back into the village.

a campsite where a guy will give you the Majinsenkuuha Ougi.
-Enter it and go straight up to the second floor.
-On the second floor, in the western hallway, there's a switch. Hit it and the music changes
to "Mystic Forest".
-Further down that hall, there's a door, and a switch that will change the music to "Open
Fire".
-In the right hall, in the room, there's another switch... The music changes to "Arche".
-In the right hall, in the room, and at the end of the hallway, there's another switch which
will change the music to "Dark Cave".
-The Strike Axe doesn't damage the Sarvens and Clay Golems, so be careful with what you
equip in here!
-On the second floor, the southern path will take you to treasures.
-When the background music is "Dark Cave", you're able to enter the door to Floor 3.
-On the third floor, to the east is a Sage and another switch which'll play "Mystic Forest.
-The door to the next floor is in the west floor, and a switch which'll play "Open Fire".

switch that'll play "Arche", to the south, then west (first from the far west) is a fake
switch, to the south, then west (second from the west) has a switch that'll play "Dark
Cave". To the south, then east has a switch that'll play "Open Fire".
-When "Open Fire" is the background music, you can enter the door to Floor 7.
-On the seventh floor, a spirit will appear. She'll introduce herself as Artemis, and Mint
wonders if it's the legendary creature the tablet in the Treant Forest mentioned.
-Artemis then asks Arche to kiss Cless for her own amusement...
-Arche goes to do it willingly, but then Mint pushes her out of the way (I sense jealousy ;) ).
-Then, a voice tells Artemis to stop playing around with the guests. Klarth wonders what
the voice is.
-Artemis then gives Arche the Ray spell.
-Artemis then says the voice is of Luna.
-North of where Artemis was is Luna. Klarth says he needs her power to combat Dhaos, and
then Luna says you have proven yourself by climbing up the Tower of the 12 Zodiac Signs.
-She gives Klarth the Luna summon, and Cless thanks her for her help.
-Artemis then appears, saying ... Luna... And Luna disappears...
-Exit the Tower, now (It's easier on the way down because you don't have to worry about
hitting switches and all, just go directly down the stairs).
-Head north of the Tower to get to Mid Galds, your next destination.

-There are 2 sections to Mid Galds, a north and a south section.
-You'll notice there's not a lot of people out... They're all fearful for Dhaos' attack.
-The inn is closed, but you can find a drugstore and an equipment shop to the south.
-In north, you can find a Grocery and an item shop.
-Hidden in an alley on the north side of town is a man who'll sell you the Shuusouhienkyaku
Ougi.
-Enter the castle... The guards there will stop you, but you'll show him the Alvanista
Emblem, so you can enter. Klarth will tell the guards that Edward D. Morrison sent them.
-You'll then be in a meeting room. Talk to everybody, who mention plans on attacking Dhaos,
then wait in your seat until 2 people arrive.
-One of them is Morrison, and he'll introduce Lyzen, the Mid Galds commanding officer.
-Arche asks why Mid Galds is planning to attack Dhaos, and Lyzen responds by telling how
Dhaos is planning to take over the world, starting with Mid Galds.
-Arche says... "Really...", and Cless says "Yes... really...".
-Lyzen and Morrison say they're gonna speak to the king, then go to leave.
-Follow them. You'll overhear Morrison speaking to the king how they're worried if Lyzen's
crew will be OK in the upcoming fight. Then, your party will meet with the king.
-Morrison and Lyzen will explain about the party who helped out in Alvanista.
-Then, Morrison and Lyzen will take you to a basement.
-They'll enlist you into their troops, and say your first mission will be to fortify the
Snowfield that separates Mid Galds from Dhaos' castle.
-You can move around the castle, now.
-The people inside the castle will tell how Dhaos' powers come from the Elves.
-Leave the castle, and then Arche will say she remembers hearing that Dhaos' purpose is to
conquer all of the kingdoms in the world... Euclid, Venetwia, and Alvanista. He's already
begun his assault on Mid Galds.
-Cless wonders if Dhaos was the one who destroyed Harmel.
-Then, Arche mentions that she dressed up as Lea Scarlet to eventually lay a sneak attack on
Dhaos.
-Arche says that Dhaos did destroy Harmel, then she says she hasn't seen her dad, Bart, in
a while.
-She returns to him, and Bart's upset how she left him again.
-Bart proceeds to tell her her backstory... About her mom, Rutee.
-There's a flashback... Rutee appears with some elves. Bart asks her why she returned. Then,
they exchange silent looks.
-Elves then tell Rutee it's time to go. She leaves, and Bart says her name again...
-Arche feels so bad, she sheds a tear.
-She then says she's going to Mid Galds, you'll all return there.
-Head to the castle... The guards say something amiss inside...
-Enter the castle... Morrison sees a demon ready to attack a boy. Cless asks Morrison what's
going on, but Morrison doesn't respond. Then, the demon laughs. Morrison gets pissed at
Gestona, the demon.
-Then Gestona announces he's working for (surprise!) Dhaos.
-Cless asks what's going on again.
-Cless goes to attack, but Gestona will kill the kid if he does.
-Morrison asks Arche to cast a spell, she does and it teleports him to behind the demon,
where he frees the kid.
-Gestona falls, knocking Morrison over and wounding him.
-Morrison then casts a spell which makes both of them disappear.
-Mint is shocked. Cless is like "Did you see that? He just disappeared!". He then promises
to find Morrison.
-Now, the scene switches to the castle briefing room. Lyzen tells you that Dhaos' castle
is across the large snowfield to the north, then a map appears, pointing it out.
-Then, she mentions the best route to take in the Snowfield is east, then north, then a
laser on the map points your route out to you.
-Lyzen then proceeds to do the role call.. 1. Richard, 2. Makoray, 3. Kirkwood, 4. Klarth.
-Klarth is now temporarily out of your party.
-You can't leave Mid Galds, so return to the briefing room... Klarth will appear, and Mint
asks what happened. Klarth says he was just briefed on his mission. Scene changes again.
-Aselia Planet, year 420... The troops wage battle against Dhaos, the 4 in charge being
the almighty Valhalla Knights.

-The guard to the east will let you rest, and the guy to the west will sell you some items.
-Lyzen will order you to move it, and there's a save point here.
-As you walk, time passes, and it'll get darker... At nighttime, the enemies will attack.
-Now, try making it to the end of the Snowfield in one piece. Head east and north from
the beginning. At the end of every full day, you can return to the camp to rest, but you
shouldn't need it.
-Keep heading east and north until the field turns into a Snowfield... A little further
than that, you'll come to a save point, and a dragon.
-The dragon laughs at you and says that he's Dhaos' pet, Ishlant.
-Ishlant and crew are easy to defeat... Ray and Luna work rather nicely on them.

-Back in Mid Galds, return to the castle. The guards there will congratulate you on your

-The king then rewards you on a job well done... 10000 Gald.
-Klarth thanks him. Before Lyzen dismisses everyone, a guard runs into the room.
-He says Dhaos' armies are coming!
-The game cuts to a scene of dragons in the air flying towards Mid Galds.
-Lyzen tells his armies to hurry. You join up with Klarth.
-You can find the shopkeepers in the castle, in case you have any buying to do.
-Leave the castle, then a voice calls to Cless. Klarth asks him what's up with that, and
Cless mentions that a familiar voice called to him.
-Then, a portal opens, sucking him in.
-Mint faints at the sight of this. Arche runs to her to ask if she's OK.
-Then, a guard calls out to Klarth, since it's time to battle, again.
-Meanwhile, Cless is in a strange world.
-You can move around now. There's a strange rabbit blocking one way.
-Go north fromt he start. A warrior riding a winged creature will mention that he's the
Valkyrie, Odin.
-Cless wonders how he got to Odin's lair...
-The Valkyrie says that God called to you through the Gungnir.
-The scene cuts to a giant cannon. "Sorcerer Energy - 99.2%... Laser Operation System clear!
Let's go! FIRE!!!"
-A giant nuke hits the castle of Dhaos.
-Cut to Yggdrasil. A woman (Moter Nature?) with animals around her says that the Mana in
this world is fading fast.
-Meanwhile, back in the cannon room, Lyzen laughs so hard that the guards have to tell him
to shut up.
-Then, smoke emanantes from the cannon. Looks like they used too much Sorcerer Energy!
-The scene changes to Klarth, an awakened Mint, and Arche.
-A guard runs over to them, and tells them they better get ready, since the monsters are
coming!
-Klarth is like "Shit! We're without Cless!".
-Then, Cless appears with Odin's horse. The party wonders what happened to him, and he
says he took a spiritual journey.
-Then, they wonder about the horse he has.
-The horse, Pegasus, then offers you his power. Cless thanks him.
-Pegasus says he owes it to the one who's strong enough to weild the Gungnir. Then, Cless
says "Let's go!".
-You can now fly on Pegasus, with Arche on the side, against waves of enemies.

for Pegasus, and have Arche use some good magic.
-After beating the bosses, Cless thanks Pegasus again. Pegasus says he owed it to Gungnir's
owner, then parts.
-Lyzen commends Cless's and Arche's great work.
-Lyzen then says tomorrow you should set out to attack Dhaos' castle.
-He says Morrison left a book for Arche, then gives her the Indignation spell.
-The next morning, Cless says it's time to go for Dhaos!

-To get here, walk through the snowfield, the same way you did to get to Ishlant the first
time through.
-From the entrance, in the room directly to the east, search the flower on the drawers for
both a Sage and a Savory.
-In the northern room, eastern door of the 2, search the weapon stands for the ?Sword
(Slayer Sword), Mech Halbred, and Halbred.
-In the northern room, the western of the 2, search the dragon statue for the Mystic Symbol.
-The northern room, the western of the 2, and the western room connect in a circular corridor.
-If you go east, step on the switch to open the door two rooms over. In this room you get
the Fire Storm spell for Arche. Search the weapon rack near here for a Halbred.
-If you hit the switch to open the door with Fire Storm in it, exit the room through the
south door, and you'll be in the room where you found the Savory and Sage in the plant. Go
back through, hit the switch again, and continue through the now open northwestern door.
-Through the northwestern door, you'll come to the stairs to the 2nd floor.
-On the second floor, go straight through the door. A sign on the wall says "Up, Down, Right,
Left, Down, Up". Step on switches in the same order as the sign says to open up the door.
-Soon, you'll come to a hall of mirros. In the last mirror, Cless appears as a skeleton.
-Past a few more rooms, you'll come to the third floor.
-On the third floor, at the beginning, there are 3 doors. The doors to the left and right
lead to treasure, the center one leads to the next area.
-In the next area, the western room leads to treasure, the eastern room leads to the next
area.
-Now, you come to a table, and 4 switches on each side. Read the sign. You need to hit
the switches from each side of the table at the same time, for all 4 switches. Arche'll
follow you. Hit the switches at the same time Arche does to open the door. If you screw
up, you'll be asked if you want to try again.
-Through the door, there's a save point and stairs to the 4th floor.
-In the first area of the 4th floor, the southern door leads to treasure, and the northern
door leads to the next room.
-In the next room, the northwestern and southern rooms lead to treasure, directly to the
north is the way you need to go to continue onwards.
-In the next room, there's a switch to open the door, but when you get off of it, the door
closes. Go upstairs and look for a statue. Push the statue into the pit and go back to the
4th floor. Push the statue onto the switch and continue through the door.
-Now, you'll need to leave behind one of your party members to have him stand on the switch
to open the next door.
-Leave your weakest guy here, for now. You have some stuff to take care of before going
back to pick them up.
-The next floors are like a maze. In one of the rooms, you'll fight the Evil Lord and crew,
and get the Fushigi na ta Kagami (Mysterious Mirror). The Evil Lord is weak against Ray
and Indignation.
-A bit after getting the mirror, you'll find another save point and a locked door after it.
-What you need to do now is search the lower floors of the castle for mirrors which reflect
an image of the Evil Lord, then, destroy the reflection.
-Beating the reflections, you can teleport to a new room, usually with treasure.
-On the third floor, there is a row of mirrors, with a reflection that you must kill. Through
the warp that then appears, you can find the Extravagant Key, and return to locked doors
on floors 5 and 6 to get treasure.
-Also on the third floor, there's a room with a diamond pillar in the middle, and 2 mirrors on
both sides. The left mirror leads to treasure, and the right mirror leads to the Distortion
spell for Arche.
-In one of the rooms you can warp to, there are 4 switches on the ground, and the sign
says "Opposite from before..."... So, hit the switches up, down, left, right, down, up to
get treasures.
-In another one of the rooms, there are 2 dragon statues next to each other. Search both
of them for switches, and press them both for a Mental Ring.
-Once you have the Extravagant Key, you can finally finish the dungeon... But, the door
that leads to the top of Dhaos's Castle requires that you have 4 party members to continue.
-Return to where you left behind that one party member, and put Arche on the switch. Then,
go to the floor above the pit. Arche'll fly up and rejoin party. Return with the 4 party
members to the previously unopenable door.
-Open the door... it's almost time to face Dhaos!
-But first, you need to fight an Evil Lord and 2 Dragon Knights.
-Make quick work of them, and continue north to Dhaos...
-Dhaos'll ask you why you think you can stop him, then he attcks!
-Throw everything you've got at Dhaos, especially Arche's Indignation spell!
-Defeat Dhaos and you'll get an Emerald Ring.
-Then, he runs away...

-The party returns to Runeglom, and informs her of Morrison's disappearance.
-Runeglom says she thinks she knows where he went, as prophecised in a book.
-She, along with you, return to the home of Morrison's wife, Lilith.
-Lilith opens the door that has a special book behind it.
-The book tells of a way to another world... Through the Abyss of Thor. Venetwia's boats
have routes that go over by where the Abyss of Thor is said to be located.
-Before entering the Abyss of Thor, Mint suggests attempting to revive Yggdrasil.
-Klarth asks you if you want to try. You have to say "Yes" to continue.
-Return to Yggdrasin in southern forest, Mint casts "Nurse" on it, but the tree won't
be revived.
-Stay at any inn, now. Mint will have a flashback to when she's younger, talking to her
mom, Meryl.
-Mint mentions that her mom's earring is beautiful. Her mom tells her it was handed down over
the years, and that Mint's great grandma received the earrings from a unicorn. Then, Meryl
gives mint earrings and a hat.
-Mint thanks her mom, and the dream ends.
-When you wake up, Mint's standing, looking out the window. Cless and Klarth ask her what's
wrong. She says that a beast which resembles a horse, a Unicorn, has the power to revive
Yggdrasil.
-Klarth asks "Isn't that a myth?".
-Mint says she doesn't know, but she's going to go look for it.
-Then, they wake the sleeping Arche, and decide to go to the end of the world to find the
Unicorn...

-To find the Unicorn Forest, enter the Valhalla Snowfield, go north, keep going straight,
then at the last left you can go to, go left and follow the path. You should be on the
world map next to a small patch of woods. This is the Unicorn Forest.
-When you enter, Cless wonders if this is where the Unicorn lives. Mint leaves to go look
for the Unicorn. Cless tells Arche to go help her search for the Unicorn.
-Return to Cless and Klarth, and they'll ask you if you want to exit, but you shouldn't
exit just yet.
-You can collect up to 6 Mushrooms in this forest, I'm not sure what they do, though.
-From the start of the forest, go east, then south (down east passage), east, east,
north, and north.
-At the end of the long vertical corridor, Arche tells Mint to watch out. Before Mint can
say "How come?", Arche takes off.
-Go north, and Mint'll see the Unicorn. He'll ask her what she wants, and she asks him of a
way to revive the Yggdrasil and keep evil out of the world.
-The scene cuts back to Cless and Klarth. They'll wonder what happened to the 2 girls.
-Klarth wonders if Cless has any feelings for Mint, and Cless gets all pissed at him.
-Mint keeps begging the Unicorn for help, but the Unicorn won't give it to her.
-Then, 3 beings come to attack the Unicorn.
-Cless senses trouble, so he and Klarth suggest they go and find Mint.
-Go to the lake where Mint is, and you'll get into a fight with 3 Evil Lords. Arche won't
be here for this fight.
-Then, Cless and Klarth ask what happened. The Unicorn was fatally wounded, and with his last
bit of strength, he becomes the Unicorn Horn.
-Klarth mentions that because of the Unicorn's efforts, they can now save Yggdrasil.
-Mint mentions that the Unicorn Horn has holy power.
-Then, the party decide to return to Yggdrasil, but they first ask why Arche left.
-Arche says that she was scared of the Unicorn, and the others laugh at her.

you can go to the Abyss of Thor.

so the party can breathe underwater.
-The party jumps in and swims to a giant underwater city.
-The party looks surprised at the technology level of the city.
-Arche takes off to explore, but the party stops her.
-Explore your surroundings. In the building to the far west, you can discover a Trump Card
on the desk. Take it.
-Go to the building in the southeast. A door is there, to the north of the save point.
-Use the Trump Card on the door's security lock, and enter the building. Enemies are here.
-On the second floor of the building, search all of the doors until you find the God's Breath
spell for Arche and the Common Key. Then, use the Common Key on a certain door to continue
(the proper door to use it on is random, I believe).
-On the next floor, you'll get to the main computer room. There's a save point here.
-After heading up to the computer, the security system attacks. Using Maxwell and Indignation
makes real quick work of them.
-You'll then get a Diamond, which boosts all of Klarth's stats.
-Head to the north, and you'll come to a strange device.
-The main system, and it's Bio ROM activates. It then proceeds to speak to you. It's name is
Oz, and it's Thor City's support computer.
-You can now choose from one of two commands. Time Warp or Medical Treatment. Select Medical
Treatment to refill all your guy's stats, then choose Time Warp.
-The device driver for the Time Warp then activates. Arche wonders what's going on, and Cless
says that the party's warping back to the future.
-Then, Oz asks if you're positive you want to continue with the time warping process. Say
"Yes". Then, talk to the machine. You'll ask to return to the Underground Temple, on the
date 5/21/102. Then, the party goes into the teleporter, and a wormhole is created. The
party starts to warp, and eventually, the process is completed.

the Hourglass/Chronoglass to stop time and get in a few good hits on him. Use Indignation,
Luna, and Cless's strongest attacks. Eventually, you'll win...
-Cless then says "Finally!"... Morrison then mentions to everybody that Dhaos is using his

-He says he's Harrison, ALvanista's king from 50 years in the future.
-He says, in the future, Dhaos will be revived again, and he needs your help to stop him.
-Then, the party all regroups, and returns to Oz, including Chester and Morrison.
-The party returns to Tortoise Village, 50 years in the future. Chester asks if the village
is called "Tortoise" anymore, but Harrison says it's now named Miguel, after Cless's
heroic father.
-Then, the party asks if all the big cities... Venetwia, Alvanista, and Euclid still exist.
Harrison says they do.

Arche's broom.
-The Metal Birds will be essential in making it into Dhaos's Castle, but they lack the

-Go to the eastern passage at the start of this cave, and you'll come to a mountainous
exterior.
-Enter the cave nearby and you'll see an electric solenoid-shaped conductor. Use your
Sorceror's Ring on the conductor, enter the nearby door that opens up, and descend the
stairs.
-Eventually, you'll come to a room with 4 electric conductors and 2 doors. Hitting the
2 active conductors with your Ring will only partially open the eastern door. The other 2
conductors are inactive.
-To open the door, you must backtrack a bit, to 2 rooms before the partially opened door.
You'll notice a seemingly inaccessible switch, surrounded by walls. You'll need to walk
through the wall to hit the switch. There's also a sign here which mentions that this
switch will open a door in a nearby room.
-Return to the room with the 4 electric conductors, and the western door will be open. Go
through the western door and hit the switch to activate the 2 formerly inactive conductors.
-Use your Sorceror's Ring on all 4 conductors to open the eastern door. Get the treasures in
the next room and move on.
-In the room after that, you'll see a sign mentioning how speed is the key to solving this
next puzzle.
-Make sure one of your characters has the Jet Boots equipped, then hit the conductor and run
as fast as you can to the first door to the right. Go north, and you'll notice you're unable
to enter the western corridor due to a force field.
-In the next room over is a switch. If you hit it, a nearby wall will open, and you'll be
able to pick up Arche's Sylphie Broom in a chest.
-To the east of the room with the conductors and the lot of doors, you can find a sign saying
"Back to Entrance", which will take you back to the entrance of the cave.
-The wall to the west of the conductors has another line of conductors. Hit switch over here,
then the nearby conductors, and run to the door between the 2 sets of generators. Continue
onward.
-The next room has a savepoint and some more sets of generators (3 conductors in a row)., and
another warp back to the beginning of the cave.
-Hit the generators farthest to the east a few times to activate the ones in the middle. Then,
run over to the ones in the middle and hit them a few times to activate ones closest to the
western door. Then, hit the generators closest to the door to open the door.
-Run through the door and you'll be outside again, on the top of the mountain.
-You'll see some treasure chests that you can't get to. Continue north, and you'll meet with
Volt.
-Cless mentions that the creature ahead must be Volt.
-Volt just spits out a bunch of gibberish like "&S7*O/\)%+)O([]Ft*l!!", and Klarth wonders
what he is saying.
-Volt spits out further gibberish like "H<32IOU<*788<3%*<>)&!!", and then attacks.
-You will fight Volt and 3 Alrounes. Quickly defeat the Alrounes, then use Maxwell and try
to trap Volt in the corner. This fight isn't very difficult.
-After you defeat Volt and crew, Klarse will seal his power in his Sardonyx gem.
-Then, Arche will fly over and get the previously unaccessible chests, an Emerald Ring and a

stay at the Inn until then, then return to him.
-In the Inn, you can meet with Arche's mom. She asks how Arche is doing, and says how
happy she is that she gets to see Arche again. She'll give you the Star Broom for Arche.
-You can meet Brambald here, he asks how your party of humans was able to survive for so
many years. You explain the time travelling to him, and then he tells you why elves fear
Arche so much. He mentions that half-elves are gifted with special powers that neither
human nor elf has, and they're afraid of her.

Alvanista entrance.

a small child.
-You ask who she is, and then Arche sneaks her way into the forest.

house.

Bosses - Douzoku, Okeyo (in special Coliseum battle)
-When you get to the girl's house, she'll introduce herself as Suzu. She leads you to the
interior of her house, but then Cless almost falls in a trap door.
-She apologizes for the traps she set up, and subsequently, Cless nearly gets hit by a bunch
of arrows.
-They go further into her house, and Cless slides into the water there. Mint asks if he's
okay, and then they meet the elder of the village.
-The elder scolds Suzu for setting up all her traps, and then he takes Cless and Klarth to
a sauna.
-Klarth finds the sauna very relaxing and soothing.
-In the other sauna, Arche goes in then urges Mint to go in. Mint complains that it's much
too hot for her.
-Klarse then takes a peek over at Arche in the sauna. He is surprised how well-developed she
is, and then she notices him staring at her, and throws a rock at him!
-The elder then mentions how Dhaos is planning to take over Euclid and Alvanista and how
Dhaos uses the power of mind control on the villagers of his town, including Suzu's
parents.
-The party tells the elder that they're all going after Dhaos. The elder then mentions you
can find Suzu's parents near Euclid, and asks if you would help them regain consciousness.
-He hands you the Muramasa, a powerful weapon, and says that you deserve this heirloom for
so valiantly accepting to help him out.
-You are now free to wander around the village. Stepping in the spa will restore your HP to
its max.
-In the Elder's Dojo, a person will sell you a picture of the Japanese emperor for 30000
Gald.
-The ninjas here tell you about their powerful sword techniques, and one person mentions
that the surrounding forest holds some special items.
-If you go to the wooded area left of the village, head left and down and you can get the
BC Rod for Mint.
-If you go to the eastern woods, and head east, you can find the Flare Tornado spell for
Arche.
-If you attempt to leave the village to the south, Suzu will take you to your choice of
1. Treant Forest, 2. Elven Village, or 3. Ymir Lake.
-Go back to the Coliseum in Euclid to finish this sub-quest. Fight past the first 8 enemies
like you normally would (Naginata is a good weapon to use in these fights).
-Then, two ninjas interrupt the tournament, and say they're gonna defeat you for Dhaos.
-Cless has a feeling they are Suzu's parents. The two ninjas are surprised you know.
-Cless tells them he knows Suzu and heard that her parents were under Dhaos's control and
hanging out near Euclid.
-Cless says how he is after Dhaos's hide, and then a mysterious voice calls out to you
wishing you luck.
-The two ninjas, Douzoku and Okeyo attack.
-I don't think it's possible to beat them, so just lose purposely...
-After you lose, Suzu appears and tries to purge them of their mind control.
-Suzu uses illusions to dupe them, and then strikes them from behind.
-Unfortunately, she strikes too hard, and severly wounds them.
-Sadly, she apologizes. The parents thank her for freeing them from Dhaos, and then they
ask for her to serve Cless. They're finally whisked away to Heaven.
-Suzu then heals Cless, he thanks her, and then she leaves.
-The Coliseum announcer goes crazy over the events that just happened.
-The party then regroups.
-Go back to the Ninja Village and talk to the elder, and you'll get the ? Ougi.

-Here is where the first subquest section of the future world ends.
-If you talk to the man on the platform to the east of the southern entrance, he'll tell you
about a Ninja group that lives deep within Treant Forest.
-Go to castle, and the guards will stop you. Klarth explains that you're friends with
Harrison, and then you'll see Harrison. He'll tell the guards to let you in.
-The party enters the castle, then the guards mention to each other how they've been
searching hard for Dhaos.
-In the hall, you'll meet up with Runeglom. Both of you are shocked that each other is
alive.
-She says that the elven blood in her allows her to live longer.
-She takes you to the king of Alvanista. The king says that Harrison mentioned your party
is going to destroy Dhaos.
-The king says he knows the only way to get to Dhaos. That is to find the powers of both
Odin and Fenrir, and then combine them to get the most powerful sword in the world.
-Both the king and Runeglom urge you to hurry up and find both of the powers.
-In the magician's corner of the castle, you'll learn that the Ice Temple where Fenrir
lurks is in Freezekill, the Fire Tower is in the Frayland mountain valley, and by
combining the powers of Odin and Fenrir will you be able to hold the mighty Eternal
Sword of Thor.
-People mention a special sword in the Freezekill area.
-It's time to head off on a quest for either Odin's or Fenrir's powers.

Enemies - Doom Knight, Flame Zee, Hell Hound, Grell Lick, Geraldine, Yochawl
Bosses - Geraldine x2, Grell Lick, Flame Zee
- Flamebelk
-Break the seal on the tower, which lies in the giant valley in the Frayland continent.
-When you're battling in the tower, watch out for the Doom Knights. They have the power to
instantly kill you with one sword slash.
-Enter and go to the lower right passage. You'll find the Moon Crystal plus a book for Klarth.
-If you go through the lower left passage, you will warp to a place where you'll see a
statue of Pegasus. You can't do anything here.
-In the left room you'll find more items.
-On the upper left and upper right walls you'll find two levers. Pull them both to enter the
center door.
-You can choose to get Arche's Exploder spell, which is a subquest in itself. Go into the
center room, where the Exploder spell lurks. This is a good spell to have while you travel
through the Temple of Fenrir.
-Go through the center room for the spell, then climb the stairs.
-On floor 2, the southeast room leads to treasure. The rooms with gas in them damage you, so
hurry through them.
-The western part of floor 2 leads to more treasures, and nearby you can find the stairs to
floor 3.
-On floor 3, the room directly to the south leads to the stairs up.
-Floor 4 is short, to the west is stairs and to the east, a small treasure room.
-Floor 5 and 6 resemble floor 4. Continue onwards.
-On Floor 7 you'll find the Exploder spell for Arche.
-After you get this, you can either leave the Fire Tower and go to the Fenrir Temple, which
seems like a popular thing to do with TOP players, or just go and finish off the Fire Tower.
-If you want to go to the Fenrir Temple first, refer to the walkthrough's section on the
Fenrir Temple (the section right below this one).
-With the spells you get from the Fenrir Temple, the enemies in the Fire Tower become much
easier, so it's a good idea to do that.
-On the first floor, if you take the rightmost door, you will find the route to the boss
of the Fire Tower.
-Hurry through the second floor, since it's covered with flames. The western passage leads
to the stairs up.
-On the third floor, run north through the fire. The door upstairs is locked. Go west twice
to find a lever and some treasures. Pull the lever, then go east twice (from the part
with the locked door), and hit the lever in there. When both levers are hit you can enter
the door in the center.
-On the fourth floor, there are 4 doors and 2 statues. The sign in the middle of the floor
tells you how the statues are the keys to opening up the doors.
-Pull the statues away from the tiled floor they're on to open doors to the far east and
west. Treasures are inside these rooms.
-Go south from either one of these statues then go to the room to the east.
-In this room, you see 2 statues and a locked door. Push these 2 statues onto the switches
to open the door. After opening up the door, go up the stairs to floor 5.
-On floor 5, there's a row of doors. In the first door from the right, you meet a man who
wants to test your strength.
-Battle the 2 Geraldines, the Flame Zee, and the Grell Lick. You get nothing from beating
them, but they're not too hard to defeat.
-On the second door from the right, the third door from the right, and to the southern
passage, you'll have to defeat the men wanting to test your strength.
-Once you defeat all 4 of the men, the westernmost door opens. Go through the westernmost
door and up the stairs.
-Go up to floor 6, save at the save point, then go north to battle the boss.
-The boss says her name is Flamebelk, Odin's personal guardian of the power of Flame.
-Defeat Flamebelk with every Ougi and Waza you have. The Vorpal Sword and the Tidal Wave
spell from the Fenrir Temple really help here.
-Once you defeat Flamebelk, she gives you the sword with Odin's powers in it, Flameverge,
and give you the ? Ougi.
-After getting these, leave the Fire Tower.

Bosses - Fangbeast
-Head to Freezekill, and head to the north to find the icy Temple of Fenrir.
-When you approach the temple, a mysterious voice will call out to you, urging you to enter.
-The door breaks open, and Mint gets frightened.
-Inside, you see beautiful stained glass windows. You'll see a ghost.
-The ghost is an ethereal wolf, who laughs at you for wanting his power.
-After meeting the wolf, you're able to descend into the cave by entering the door.
-If you approch the stained glass, you will get to see a scrolling view of it.
-After descending into the cave with the walls of ice, you'll reach a save point.
-Lots of enemies here can't be killed with normal attacks, so use waza and fire spells.
-In the second room of the icy caves, to the west, you find a frozen lever. Use the
Sorceror's Ring to thaw it, then investigate it twice (the first time you investigate
it, the game will mention that you're able to pull it) to open door to the right.
-In the room to the right that is now open, go down the stairs.
-In the next room, light all the candlebras to open the path to the next floor.
-Now, you'll be in a room with a giant pit, a frozen statue, a candlebra, and a large
fissure on the western wall.
-Light the candlebra, then thaw out the statue with your Sorceror Ring, then push the
statue so it blocks the fissure in the western wall.
-Continue through the door, and you'll come to a giant maze.
-From the start of the giant maze, head west, go south one, then keep on going west to
find Arche's Tidal Wave spell.
-From the place where you got Arche's Tidal Wave spell, head east one and keep on heading
north to find the exit.
-Here is a map of the maze:
X O 1

2-O-O-O-3

7 - Tidal Wave spell
8 - Piyohan
9 - Charm Bottle
-Once you're finished with the maze, the next floor down will have some doors and water
blocking off some portions of the area. The westermost door leads to the Ankh Shield, and
the rightmost leads to a stairway.
-The door secondmost to the right has an eastern passage, but if you continue, you come
to the door secondmost to the left.
-If you take the eastern passage here, you'll come to a switch. Hit it, and some of the water
that was originally in the eastern area will have drained.
-Go past the drained water, then go south, and in the next room, you can either head east to
get to an area with treasures that will eventually lead to the room whre you next have to go,
or enter the northern door, then enter the small room to find a yellow switch that freezes
the water.
-Hit the switch, walk across the nearby water, and go north. It will take you back to the
beginning area. Head through the second door to the right, then go east and hit switch.
It will raise the water in the room furthest to the east. Go east once again and up to come
to a save point and a four way intersection.
-East and west at this intersection lead nowhere, so go north to find the boss.
-Meet with Fangbeast, the guardian of the power of Fenrir. You will do battle.
-Fangbeast is very tough. To succeed, you need to have high levels, good fire-type spells,
and a little bit of luck.
-Once you win, Fangbeast puts his last remaining energy into the sword of ice and hands it
to you, who is worthy of its power.
-You will get both the Vorpal Sword and the ? Ougi.
-This dungeon is complete. Leave it.
[073 The Eternal Sword]

Shops - N/A
Enemies - (see Future Treant Forest section)
Bosses - Seraph, Origin
-Once you have both the Flameverge and the Vorpal Sword, return to Treant's Forest.
-Head to the giant tablet in the forest. From the start, you need to go up, up, up, right,
right, right, right, up, up, right, down, down, lower right, right, and up, to get there.
-Approach the tablet. You will learn that you can unlock the power of Origin and the Eternal
Sword via the two swords you have.
-Arche flies in, joking about how her Volt-powered broom enabled her to speed through the
maze.
-After Arche appears, something arises near the tablet. It's Origin.
-Origin congratulates you for finding her, and by posessing the powers of Odin and Fenrir,
then attacks.
-You will have to do battle against Origin and Seraph.
-First, take care of Seraph. Use your strongest sword techniques against her, she won't take
very long to beat. Then, attack Asuka. Don't use any summon spells on Asuka, because she'll
gain back power. Just use your strongest sword attacks, and attempt to corner-trap her.
-When you win, you get the Soulsteel, and then the party tells Origin about how they're
going to save the world from Dhaos's evil reign. Origin then fuses her power with the two
swords to become the Eternal Sword. Cless takes it, and gets 3 new techniques. Jigenzan,
Kuukonshouuteni, and Kokuusouhazan, plus 2 Ougis, Jikuusouhazan, and Tenisouhazan.
-Klarth finds a diamond, then seals the power of Origin inside it.
-Then, the party decides to return to Runeglom to tell her they now have the power of the
Eternal Sword.
-When they visit Runeglom, she mentions she's gathering all of Alvanista's troops to
attack Dhaos's new castle, and that she's proud of you for all you have done. She mentions
that you have a tough battle ahead of you. Go to Ary now and stay at the inn, now. It's
time for the final assault!

-Go to Ary (the town where the sky is perpetually dark), and stay at the inn.
-Cless and Mint will start talking. Mint wants to take a walk outside. After waiting for
her to return, Cless mentions to the others that she has been gone for a while.
-Cless then leaves to go look for her.
-Then, Chester summons Origin and asks for power. The innkeeper looks on in shock as he
sees the almighty Origin with his own eyes.
-Origin, the summon spell with the power to travel through time and space, asks what
Chester wants. Chester says he wants to go see what Mirald and friends are doing.
-Origin allows Chester to see what's going on back at his home. Mirald thinks Chester
might've been defeated while searching for Dhaos, but she still has hope that he's
alive.
-Then, Chester and Arche talk. She wants to spy on Cless and Mint, to see if they're
doing anything exciting. Chester doesn't really want to spy on them, and let them have
their privacy, but Arche drags him along.
-Cless and Mint start talking, after he runs into her outside. He then takes a look at
her earring, and gets memories of the Euclid jail cell where they first met.
-Mint tells Cless that her mom gave her the earring as a hand-me-down.
-Cless then thanks Mint for using the Earring to rescue him.
-Arche and Chester go outside to spy on them, but Chester drags Arche back in.
-Eventually, everybody falls asleep.
-When everybody wakes up and attempts to leave the inn, a soldier calls you over to talk
with him.
-The soldier mentions that Alvanista is ready to attack Dhaos, and that you should start
your attack by entering the cave west of Ary.
-Mint then takes out her Earring. You can now equip it as an accessory.
-Now, exit Ary and go to the cave west of it. Climb up the stairs, and outside, climb up
the hill.
-Cless remembers that Runeglom said to raise the Eternal Sword atop the summit of the
mountain. He raiss the sword, shouting that it will pave the way to Dhaos's Castle.
-He then asks whether or not they should enter.
-Eventually, you'll enter. This is the final dungeon in the game.

-As soon as you enter Dhaos's Castle, walk up the platform, past a save point, and into the
main portion of the castle.
-You can touch the magic circle outside of Dhaos's Castle to return to the mountain near
Ary, in case you want to leave the castle.
-Once you enter the main part of the castle, you're attacked by DARKEYE?
-You can make quick work of it by corner trapping it and using your Kuukanshouteni technique
on it. DARKEYE? isn't weak against any spells, save Meteo Storm and Origin. Beware its
spinning attack, as it can make quick work of all your party.
-Defeat the DARKEYE? and head onwards. In the first area of Dhaos's Castle, you'll see
a small room with treasure in it, and stairs down to the jail, and passages heading to
both the north and east.
-Since the door to the far east is locked, head north. You can find a room containing
treasure up here. Go further north and you'll find a lever.
-Pull the lever to open the door to the far right near the beginning of the stage.
-Return to the far right, and head up the stairs to the second floor.
-On floor 2, head through the door directly north of the stairs. You'll be unable to
return through this door, so you'll have to head all the way around the floor if you
want to go back to the area near the stairs.
-After you go through the one-way door, head into the room to the north to find the
Meteo Storm spell for Arche.
-After getting the spell, head all the way around, back to the room where floor 2 began.
-In the northwest area, you'll see a sign that tells you some walls are illusionary.
-You'll see a stairway in a room surrounded by walls. If you walk through the walls on
either the eastern or western side, you can get to the stairway.
-On the third floor, go north, and you'll see a magic circle on the floor. This circle
will teleport whoever doesn't have a Delis Emblem equipped back down to the dungeon
in the basement.
-Equip the Delis Emblem the soldier in Ary gave you on Cless, and walk past the teleporter.
-All your other party members will teleport bnack to the dungeon, so it'll just be Cless
for the next few moments.
-Your goal now is to find 4 more Delis Emblems to equip on the other party members. Every
time you get a Delis Emblem, you can go back to the dungeon in the basement to get back
a party member, or you can just get all 4 by yourself.
-Make sure you equip a Stone Check for this next area, as the ROAMEYE? and Ninja Masters have
the potential to turn you to stone.
-Directly north of the teleporter you can find the first emblem, in a treasure chest guarded
by the Hanzou.
-Every time you approach a Delis Emblem, a Hanzou will appear and attack. The Hanzou is fast
but easy to defeat, and shouldn't pose much of a threat.
-From the first emblem, go right, down, and into the door on the right. You'll fight another
Hanzou and get the next emblem.
-South of the room where you got the second emblem, go into the room on the far right, fight
a Hanzou, and get the third emblem.
-Go left from the room with the door to the third emblem and you'll be back at the magic
circle again.
-Go west from this point, and enter the lower left door to fight another Hanzou and get the
final Delis Emblem.
-Once you have all 4 Delis Emblems, return to the dungeon, and find all your other party
members one by one. Return to the magic circle on floor 3, equip Delis Emblems on all 5
of your guys, and continue.
-Go west from the magic circle, and west again, past the door to the room where you got the
fourth emblem.
-You'll come to a door that you need the power of 5 people to open. With all your party
members, you'll be able to open it and continue through a room filled with treasures and
stairs up to the fourth floor.
-As soon as you hit the 4th floor, you'll come to a save point, and a locked door directly
north of the savepoint.
-Go left, down, and left, and you'll find a room where another floating eye challenges
you.
-This time, you'll fight the SEALEYE? and its friend. Use lots of Arche's Meteo Storm spell,
and use the same strategies you used on the DARKEYE? in the beginning of the castle.
-After you beat the eye, you'll come to a lever. Pull it.
-Go back to the room with the save point, then go through the eastern door. Follow the
passages here until you come to a room with red stone walls. You'll find that a previously
locked door is now open after pulling the lever. Enter this door.
-Climb up the stairs now to floor 5 and another save point.
-In floor 5, there are two doors, one to the left, and one to the right.
-Go left, and in some side rooms, you might notice some switches on the ground that don't
do anything.
-Head all the way to the left and down until you come to a switch on the ground that you
can activate.
-Step on this switch and then go to all the other rooms with switches in them in order from
left to right until finally you come to the switch in front of the door in the beginning
of the floor.
-After pressing this final switch, the door will finally open. Through this door is the
stairs to floor 6.
-On the sixth floor, if you go to the north room, you come to a mirror which will backtrack
you in the dungeon. Instead of going to the room with the mirror in it, walk east through
an invisible wall, and keep walking. At one point, you'll be able to walk north to get a
lavendar.
-Keep heading east until you can't head east anymore. Then, go north. You'll come to a
stairway, but before you go up, head west to get some treasures.
-Wander around the seventh floor. In one area you might get stuck, since there's a one-way
door. If you do get stuck in this area (which you don't need to go to to traverse this
floor), hit the lever in one of the rooms to activate a mirror in the far right room. This
mirror will take you back to the beginning of the floor.
-From the beginning of the floor, go left, down to the leftmost door, and down again to get
to the stairs to the eighth floor.
-On the eighth floor, the music will change, and you'll see a save point. Save, and keep
heading round and round, through the passages. You will have to do this a number of times,
each time you'll get higher and higher up in the castle. Finally, you come to a save point
and one last door.
-Through this door is Dhaos!
-Your party takes turns threatening Dhaos and then Mint asks why Dhaos must steal the power
of mana.
-Dhaos then says he wanted the power so he can take control of the world. Cless and Chester
attempt to convince him that taking mana for his own use is wrong, but Dhaos doesn't listen
to their reasoning.
-Without any other way to talk Dhaos out of giving up his power, the party decides to attack,
and thus begins the game's final battles.
-Dhaos's first form resembles the one you battled back before you went to the future. This
form is very cheap, using lots of attacks one after the other, and not giving you much time
to heal. He also gains back half of every damage you deal to him. Your best bet to win is
to try and corner trap him, and nail him with everything you've got.
-After you beat the first form, he calls on his true evil power, and attacks. This is it,
the final battle! Good luck!
-In this battle, you'll be battling against both Dhaos and his arm. Go for the arm first,
attacking with all your techniques. When the screen turns light blue, you're unable to
attack Dhaos but he can still do damage to you. Use all your Hourglasses and Chronoglasses
and pound Dhaos with every spell, technique, ougi, and attack that you've got! You can do
it!
-Good luck!

-After you defeat Dhaos, he gets back up one more time, but quickly collapses. The party
warps back to Yggdrasil in full bloom. Yggdrasil has been revived and mana has returned
with the defeat of Dhaos. Mint casts a Barrier spell so the tree is always protected from
evil, then Cless olds up his sword and calls to Origin.
-Origin takes Cless back in time to present day Tortoise. Then, Arche says goodbye to both
Cless and Chester. They're all sad that they must leave. Arche says goodbye to Chester and
then Klarth uses the power of Origin to return back to Mirald. Arche goes back to the
Elven Village and sees her mother.
-Cless and Chester then return to the local forest to hunt boars again.
-Then, Mint and Cless go to a grave to put flowers on it.
-Dhaos's body then returns to Martel, the spirit of Yggdrasil. Martel seals Dhaos in a
strange, flower-shaped contraption and flings him into outer space.
-The credits then proceed to roll.
-After the credits are done rolling, Cless, Mint, and Chester are inside Tortoise and
mention how much they miss Arche and Klarth.
-Finally, you see a beautiful picture of Cless, Arche, and Mint riding a unicorn with the
words "FIN" in the bottom right.
-Congratulations! You beat Tales of Phantasia!
