DISCLAIMER: This guide was made by a fan for fans so that we can all enjoy this
excellent game by Namco. Please give me credit if you wish to put this on your
site, as all of its material is copyright to me. Please do not edit the content
of the guide. I've spent a lot of time on this and I won't tolerate plagiarism,
especially the ASCII logo. Don't make me hunt you down and force-feed you
corn-filled fecal matter out of gay, horny rhinoceros bottoms.

2) I'm assuming you are mature enough to read the contents below.
3) I only intend to include things that I'm sure of. You may flame away for me

  the date of this walkthrough. And if you enter a link and it's not there,
  don't bitch at me - ESPECIALLY if you're reading this 1+ years since the

|           PRELUDE            |
'=============================='

 The intended purpose of this guide is to lessen all these "horror" stories
about Volt's dungeon (naming those infamous generators). Frankly, I'm tired of
people giving the "walk through walls" code as an alternative to solving the
puzzle. Well, I'm fine if people want to cheat, but some use it because they
get stuck. They blame it on the game, and then tell people there's a bug in
the puzzle.

 First, make sure you have a Sorcerer's Ring, Jet Boots, and some optional
Holy Bottles.

 Now enter Volt's cavern (southwest of Miguel). Once you're in, walk up until
you see a chest, which holds a Holy Bottle. If you go through the door to the
left of you, you'll be outside where there are 2 chests (both Lavender). Now go
back inside and walk left. There are 2 more chests (Shield Ring and Life
Bottle) in this room. The door to the top leads to the outside again (it's the
same EXACT place as the one you've been in!). So if you've already picked up
the 2 chests, this place will be empty. Back inside, there's also a door to the
lower path, but you won't get pass it, so go back to the room on your right.

 Now, in the room with the entrance, go right. You're outside. Walk up. You're
back inside and there's a generator in front of you. Stand to the right of the
COILS (where the door is ahead of you), and equip the Sorcerer's Ring on any
active member. Press A to shoot a spark and the door will open. Walk through
and get the chest (Grimorum). Unequip the Sorcerer's Ring for now if you want.
Now walk down the stairs to the next room.

 Here, the door is already open, but DON'T walk through it yet! Once you do,
it will close on you. See a big switch thing to the right side of the screen?
Stand 2-3 steps in front of the door and walk right. Having walked through the
wall, you can now step on the switch and turn it on. Now you can go back and
walk through the door. The door at the top leads to outside again with the same
Lavender items. Go right to the next screen.

 Outside again. If you seriously want an Orange Gummy, you can walk to the
right and back inside. Go up the stairs and get the Gummy. Notice that this
part is where the door was locked before. If you walk through the door, it'll
close and you'll have to start over. So anyways, from the screen where you're
outside, go down.

 You're in another room with a generator. The sign below says there's a secret
passageway to the right of the stairs... But anyway, if you equip the
Sorcerer's Ring again (if you took it off earlier) and try to shoot sparks, the
door will only open a tiny bit. So you need to walk into that little room and
pull the lever. Now stand to the right of the light bulb near the door. You
need to shoot sparks at the 2 coils lined up in a row; the other 2 won't work
now that you pulled the lever (the circuit is changed). Walk through the door
before it closes. If you can't seem to make it in time, equip Jet Boots and you
can run. To the next room...

 2 items in the this room (Apple and Bread). Walk through the door and you'll
see yet another generator. The sign near the generator says there's a secret in
this room... The lever next to it is broken... So your logical plan would be to
equip Jet Boots, shoot sparks at the generator, and run like hell before that
door to the left closes, right? Wrong! If you try that, you'll NEVER make it.
EVER. The secret is the thin wall to the right of the generator: You can walk
through it. Walk through the wall and you get step on the teleporter if you
need to exit the dungeon for some reason (low on health and out of items).
Otherwise, stand to the left of the wall and aim at the right coil (where 2 are
in a row). Shoot sparks and run with Jet Boots through the wall and pass that
door. There's an invisible barrier to your left, so just walk up.

 In this room, walk up through the door and pull the lever. This will open up
the path to the left of the generator back in the other room. Come out of that
room and walk to the right and up for a Sylph Broom. Now exit this room by
walking down. You're now back in the generator room.

 Walk through the wall again and keep going left; you'll see a new path opened
up to the left generator. Don't try to shoot sparks and run pass the door;
you'll never make it. Instead, pull the lever at the top first. Now, equip the
Jet Boots again if you took them off, and also use a Holy Bottle. This will
help you run to the door without getting into a battle. Shoot the coil that's
closest to the stairs (not the 2 coils in a row) and run like hell. Now walk up
to head for the next room.

 This room probably takes the most "work", but it's not hard at all (or at
least shouldn't be). There's a save point, so save if you need to. The plan
here is to turn on all 3 generators so the door will open long enough for you
to run pass. The good thing is that you won't encounter any battles in this
room, because that would just be too evil (you'd lose your rhythm and your time
will run up). So anyway, you need to start at the right most generator. You'll
definitely need Jet Boots for this, so have them on. Stand between the sign
near the teleporter (emergency exit) and the generator. Keep in mind you can
shoot at ANY coil for these generators. But aim at the left coil of the 2 in a
row. Shoot and run to the generator next to it. Quickly shoot the right coil of
the 2 in a row before the energy runs out! If you did it right, the light will
be brighter. Now run to the left most generator and do the same thing again.
Finally run pass the door before your time's up! Hopefully you didn't have to
put up with lizards blocking your way...

 You're done with all the puzzles!! Now get ready for Volt. The 2 chests
aren't tangible until you beat Volt, so don't worry about it. Now do whatever
you need to to beat Volt. I won't be giving tips on how to do it; there are
tons of other strategies out there anyway. But at least one thing should be
obvious: no electric or light spells/skills (unless you want to heal Volt). So
no Luna, Ray, Indignation, or Lightning Bolt skill. And of course, don't equip
a light/thunder elemental weapon on Cless (like Moon Falx). Once you beat Volt
and get your contract, Arche will go and pick up the items in the 2 chests
(Star Cloak and Jade Ring) when you try to leave the room. So all that's left
is to take the teleporter in the generator room and exit the cavern.
