------------------------------ [ Introduction ] -----------------------------
=============================================================================

 This has got to be one of the best games I have ever played! Castlevania:
 Symphony of the Night plays just like this game, but a bit different, but
 nonetheless Super Metroid fans WILL get a kick out of CV:SotN. I've played
 this game in Austrailia and there is ONLY one difference that I can note
 of from the American version which will be discussed in the FAQ. And note
 that you will have to sometimes give games a chance, and its pretty much
 safe to say that you will get a kick out of this game as you start to get
 into the game. Thanks for listening and enjoy the FAQ!

=============================================================================
---------------------------- [ Tips and Tricks ] ----------------------------
=============================================================================

 - For those of you familar with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night's
   controls, I suggest you set you controls in this way:

   Jump:          B Button
   Dash:          X Button
   Shoot:         Y Button
   Cancel:        A Button
   Aim Down:      L Button
   Aim Up:        R Button

 - However if you have not played CV: SotN before, take some time at the
   beginning to practice a little with the controls until you can adjust.

 - Whenever you acquire a new item that you have seen for the first time,
   YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE TO USE IT IMMEDIATELY. Why? This was how the game
   was set up, it does this to allow the player to be comfortable with the
   new item and it helps them later in the game. For example:

   You acquire your first set of missiles, immediately once you enter out
   of the room, you are promted to use it against the pink doors.

 - Let the intro past by and watch the game in action by the CPU, it will
   show you some tricks that you can use later in the game.

 - Stuck? Why not look around? Bomb a few floors or walls and you would
   be surprised at what you may find.

 - Remember key areas, like green and yellow doors and also hard to reach
   places. You can come back later in the game and acquire the items.

 - Save often. You should save mainly when you have accomplished a certain
   task(I.E. defeating a boss). You shouldn't try to save your game too
   often because you can ruin the batteries(assuming of course you have the
   actual cartridge). Saving 10 times in 1 minute is called "over-saving"
   and it can affect your batteries in a bad way.

 - When you encounter a new boss, you often don't have time to prepare
   yourself because you are unfamiliar with its strategy. This is why its
   important to find a save point near the boss, then you can memorize
   the strategy and become successful in its defeat.

 - When your low on energy don't try to reach an energy recharge unit. These
   units are sparse around the world of Zebes. Shoot enemies around you and
   they will usually leave behind and energy ball or missiles and bombs so
   that you can refill your items and energy. The ONLY TIME they will not
   drop anything is when you don't need anything, meaning you are already
   carrying or sustaining the maximum amount of energy and weapons you had
   acquired.

 - PAY ATTENTION to animals around the room, usually the ostrich and the
   little elves(the names escape me as of this moment) will show you how to
   get out of a certain room.

 - Bomb your way through. Often you can see a small passage or a high ledge
   that you can't reach. Use your bombs continuouly and bomb through and
   it will propell you to the top. But note, usually when you cannot reach
   an area at the point, its the game's indication that you do not have the
   tools neccessary to reach or acquire the item yet. The bombs usually
   lets you acquire the item early instead of later.

 - Know your limits. When your energy is down, don't try to attack and go
   berserk trying to shoot down everything you see. Its good to escape and
   fight weaker enemies to refill your energy and then come back.

 - Sometimes when you can't reach a certain area, you need to turn off some
   of your special suit enhancements or weapons. For example:

   There is a small area in Brinstar in the waters, you cannot jump to the
   platform unless you turn off your High Jump Boots.

   This happens SELDOMLY. You won't see it very often, but it can help you
   at times.

 - Finally, use your X-Ray Scope when you are certain that there has to be
   something around. It will sometimes reveal an area you skipped earlier
   and it can help your overall percentage.

=============================================================================
--------------------------------- [ F A Q ] ---------------------------------
=============================================================================

1Q. How come my game won't save?
1A. Your game probably has old or no batteries. Or it might be one of those
   1/13000 occurances where a SNES game does not save.

2Q. What is the difference between the Austrailian version and the American
   version of the game?
2A. The only difference besides the cartridge shape is the fact that when you
   fight Phantoon in the Austrailian version, you can avoid its row of flames
   (he usually does this when he is about to go, its a giant blue flame wave
   that comes at you from left or right) by rolling into a ball in the
   corner, instead of charging your weapon and jumping over them. It doesn't
   work in the American version strangely.

3Q. Why must you place your tips in your FAQ? I thought your walkthrough
   was suppose to tell us what to do.
3A. The reason why I put tips in my walkthrough is because you can't always
   follow the walkthrough. You might be at a certain point in the game where
   you have done things differently than I have in the game. This is unlike
   any RPG or adventure game where everything goes in sequencion. You might
   have forgotten a few pointers that I have listed.

4Q. If your walkthrough doesn't help or is unclear, can you tell me some
   other guides?
4A. Sure! Take a look at the various guides at www.gamefaqs.com.

5Q. After I've completed the game, is there anything else I can do?
5A. You can get a better time. The best time I've ever gotten while beating
   the game was 1:42 with 77%. 2:01 with 100% However I suggest you take
   a look at marshmallow's exceptional Speed Guide, its pretty amazing
   getting everything in 1:30.

6Q. What can you say about this FAQ?
6A. Well its important that you take notice that this FAQ was meant to help
   the player beat the game from the beginning to the end. This FAQ wasn't
   made to help the player mid way through the game. However you can check
   the FAQ if you are stuck. Just check the other FAQs first, then check
   mines.

7Q. Why don't you give us the names of the monsters?
7A. Well for one reason its better to describe them than to call their names,
   why? Because basically 80% of all Super Metroid players do not know the
   names of the enemies that you will see in the game. When I describe
   enemies, it makes it easier to follow through what I am talking about.

8Q. Why doesn't your FAQ include those other neat moves and getting 100%
   items?
8A. The reason is because this is only a walkthrough. Check marshmallow's
   fabulous guide to acquire everything.

9Q. If I followed this walkthrough, what percentage should I have and what
   ending should I get?
9A. You should get a 74-76%, and you should get the ending where Samus only
   takes off her helmet.

10Q. How do I get 100%? Do I need to fill in the blue areas on my map?
10A. You get a 100% by collecting ALL the items. Meaning you collect all the
    missiles, super missiles, and power bombs. Filling in the blue squares
    does not affect your overall percentage.

11Q. Is there someway that I can use the HYPER BEAM from the start of the
    game?
11A. Disappointtingly no. If you have a Game Genie you may do so.

12Q. Can you tell me what the doors mean?
12A. Sure:

    Blue door      -  Can be opened with basically any weapon.
    Pink door      -  Can ONLY be opened with 5 missiles or one Super Missile
    Green door     -  Can ONLY be opened with a Super Missile
    Yellow door    -  Can ONLY be opened with a Power Bomb
    Metal door     -  Can only be opened when all enemies are destroyed on
                      screen or when the boss of that area is defeated in
                      that area. The door will flash once your task has been
                      accomplished.

13Q. What are those gates? The ones with a metal post in front with a light
    near them.
13A. They are called gates(often I will describe them throughout the
    walkthrough) and there are only two kinds of gates. The green ones can
    be opened with a Super Missile, but you cannot shoot the other side of
    them. The blue gates can be opened with your gun, but with the Wave
    Beam you can open it from the other side.

14Q. How come I can't reach past the(insert specific area here)?
14A. Because you have not acquired the tools(suit enhancements) to reach that
    area or item yet. Come back later after acquiring a new item or suit
    enhancement.

15Q. Does the percentage effect the ending of the game?
15A. No it does not, your time does. Look at the end of this FAQ to look
    for the specific times to acquire that certain ending.

16Q. What happens when you do not escape successfully escape when the self-
    destruct sequence initiates?
16A. You'll see.

=============================================================================
----------------------------- [ Walkthrough ] -------------------------------
=============================================================================

 Pick a file that you want and then make your settings. You start out with
 the storyline, it takes Samus back to the time when she had first clashed
 with the Space Pirates. It also then that she had stopped Mother Brain's
 plan from attacking galatic civilization. The scene takes you back to the
 very first Metroid game where Samus destroyed Mother Brain. Samus had
 decimated every single space pirate except for the little Larva, which had
 followed Samus like a "confused child." The scene then flashes back to
 Metroid II. She then delivered the Larva back to the Galatic Research
 Station at Ceres where scientists could study its energy producing
 qualities and they found out that the powers of the metroid can be used for
 the benefit of mankind. When all was well Samus left the base but before
 she could go any farther she had picked up a distress signal and the Ceres
 station was being attacked!

=============================================================================
Space Colony: ALERT! ALERT!
=============================================================================

 When you first enter here go down and keep going until you meet up with
 the Larva, when you see the Larva prepare yourself against a familiar foe.
 Basically in this battle let your energy drop to 29 and Ridley will fly off.
 After that a 1 minute time bomb has been set, so get the heck out of there
 now! The Space Colony explodes as Samus rides off away from the station
 barely scathed. She then arrives at the planet Zebes where she had followed
 Ridley to.

=============================================================================
Criteria to Brinstar(Part 1): THE BEGINNING
=============================================================================

 When you reach the planet, note that you can ALWAYS go back to your ship
 to refill your HP and any weapons as well. Now head to the left and keep
 going until you see a drop to the bottom, don't worry about the doors to
 the right and left, keep going down and shoot the blue door to the next
 room. In this room is a giant vertical shaft, drop down and shoot the door
 on the right and keep going on to the next room. When you reach here you
 will notice that the door to the left is closed off, keep going to the
 right. You will reach an elevator, go down and go to the left to pick up
 the MORPHING BALL, don't worry about the light it can't harm you. Now
 duck and shoot the small block on the right and press down twice and roll
 through and keep going to the right. When you reach this room there is a
 pink room to the right. Ignore that room and shoot downwards and then roll
 to the room to the left and shoot the item on the chozo statue to pick up
 your first set of MISSILEs. Now head out and back to the pink door and shoot
 it with your missiles(press the select button then your fire button). Go
 through and keep going to the right to pick up another set of MISSILEs.
 After that head out back to the elevator, and be prepared to face a few
 Space Pirates. It takes one shot to take them down, you will eventually
 enter the vertical shaft and have to face the space pirates as well. Once
 you head out of the vertical shaft go upwards and to the right and you
 should see a pink door, shoot that door and enter through to get a map of
 the entire area. Now head out of the room and then head upwards and roll
 into a ball and keep going to the right and you will drop down below.
 Shoot the door to the right but before you destroy the little bugs take
 out the pink door with your missiles and then shoot out the little bugs
 to refill your missiles. Now enter the room to the right and shoot the item
 on the right and pick up the BOMBs, but then you can't leave, UH OH!
=============================================================================
BOSS BATTLE: Chozo Statue
=============================================================================
 This battle isn't entirely too difficult, your missiles will make for a
 quick fight but you must jump to shoot him. You will have to take a few
 hits, but keep shooting the Chozo Statue in the chest. IT should take only
 8 missiles to kill it.

 After the battle pick up all the items and then head back up using your
 bombs. Now keep going to the left until you see a wall, use your bombs to
 destroy that wall and then enter through to the left. Keep going to the
 left to pick up your first energy tank. Past the left are Space Pirates
 that are stronger than before, use your missiles to destroy them. You will
 see a pink door to the right and a blue door to the left at the bottom, you
 won't need to blast the pink door for a LONG while. Head to the blue door
 and past this next room and you will eventually reach an elevator. Head
 down that elevator to Brinstar.

=============================================================================
From Criteria to Brinstar(Part 2): NEXT STOP, BRINSTAR
=============================================================================

 When you reach here take the next right pink door and shoot it. Go up and
 dash across, the door will prevent you from advancing further but you can
 at least pick up the MISSILES in the room. Now head out and to the left
 is another pink door, blast that door open and go through to get a map of
 Brinstar. Once your done head out and to the next left pink door is a save
 room, so you may want to save your game. Now when you reach the bottom
 shoot the next door on the bottom right, ignore the room to the left for
 now. Enter here and keep going to the right until you reach a block wall,
 bomb that wall and keep going to the right past the blue door. From here
 head to the right and then drop down and keep going to the bottom left.
 Pick up the set of MISSILEs and then bomb the odd looking blocks to the
 right and roll down below to pick up the CHARGE BEAM. Now head up to the
 very top of this room, there is a small passage to the left in which you
 can reach through as you roll into a ball, that will lead to a save room.
 IT isn't neccessary to save your game just yet, but you can. Now head out
 and keep going to the right, you will reach a room with those giant
 insects. Destroy them and then enter the room at the top right and prepare
 for a boss fight.
=============================================================================
BOSS BATTLE: Spore Spawn
=============================================================================
 This battle isn't too hard, it just takes a lot of patience. Take either
 the top left or the top right platforms and roll into a ball, you can NEVER
 get hurt while you are like this in a corner. Then when the Spore Spawn
 lets open, shoot him with a missile. When you run out of missiles you can
 use your charge beam(hold down the fire button for a second and then
 release) or you can shoot the little tiny spores for missiles. It takes
 about 11 missiles to destroy this sucker, also note that it will start to
 turn a darker color(green to brown) and it will go faster. But its still
 not a problem.

 After the battle pick up the remaining remnants and then head upwards to
 the top right. Keep going until you see the second green pipe up against
 the wall, step on top of that and you will drop down a LONG way. At the
 bottom to the right is a Chozo Statue holding a SUPER MISSILE, pick that
 up and head to the left. Now in this next room is a green door to the left,
 shoot the door with your Super Missile, DAMN! Did you see the force? Even
 the enemies at the ceiling fell! Now keep going to the left until you see
 a small block in the way of your passage, destroy that little block with
 a Super Missile. Now you will reach out here again, go to the bottom where
 you had picked up the missiles from this area earlier and then head to
 the right(you will have to use your bombs to propel you through that small
 gap as you turn into a small ball). Keep going until you reach a room
 with a small cactus plant on the floor, head up the platform and DASH your
 way through. At the end use your super missile to blast open the door.
 In this next room, drop down and you can destroy the red floor with your
 regular beam but watch when you destroy one brick, a small little creature
 will attach itself to you, use your bombs to blow it up. Then keep going
 to the bottom, you will see a green door to the left, blast that open to
 reach the energy recharge room. After that head out and to the right,
 watch for those little claws in the waters, it will grab you into the
 spikes, but note that the claws can never hurt you. Its a pain to get out,
 now keep going to the right and when you look at your map at the top right
 corner, you will notice that it will change a bit, that means you have
 entered Maridia, but you can only visit a few areas(mainly the area you're
 in right now) and in the next room past the giant glass tube, you can
 bomb your way upwards to the hidden path but it won't do you any good.
 To find the path shoot the ceiling, if your blast goes through then you
 can enter through. Now keep going to the right and take the elevator
 downwards. When you reach Norfair, drop down to the left until you see a
 pink door, shoot that door open. Inside pick up your second energy tank,
 now head to the left and you should drop through, keep rolling to the left
 until you reach a blue door, shoot that door open and inside shoot the top
 portion of the wall in front of you. Then collect the item on the Chozo
 Statue to pick up the HIGH JUMP BOOTS. Now head out of here and go to the
 top, but wait for the little orange spiky thing after picking up the
 MISSILEs at the top, kill it to let the metal door be shootable. Now DO
 NOT HEAD TO ANY OTHER ROOMS ON THE RIGHT, your suit was not made to sustain
 such high temperatures as your energy will steadily drop at an alarming
 rate. Now head back and upwards to the elevator and return to the room where
 you saw the claws try to grab you in the water. At the top left of this
 room is a destroyable block, shoot that block with your gun and jump up
 there and keep going until you reach the room with the SPAZER BEAM, which
 is the 2nd strongest beam in the game. Now head back to the elevator room
 leading to Norfair BUT DO NOT GO DOWN. Instead hit the right wall with your
 Super Missile and go through.

=============================================================================
RAID ON KRAID
=============================================================================

 Once you reach through here jump to the top through the sturcture of
 Kraid's mouth and keep going to the right. In here drop down and bomb the
 right wall and go through the bottom and to the next room. In here destroy
 the insects and go to the far right and drop to the small opening and bomb
 the wall and head through to the right which leads to a save room. Save
 your game and then head back to the room with insects and then bomb the
 middle of the room on the floor and it will drop you below. When you reach
 this next room destroy the Space Pirates and at the end you will see a
 Mini-Kraid, you can kill him with one Super Missile and then refill your
 Super Missiles from what he leaves behind. In this next room shoot the
 top ceiling and it will lead a path to an Energy Recharge and a Missile
 Recharge. After that head back down and to the right, you will see a small
 eye on the door, shoot it with three regular missiles or one super missile
 when it's eye opens. Then enter through to a boss battle.
=============================================================================
BOSS BATTLE: Kraid
=============================================================================
 When you reach here give Kraid a while to rise up, shoot him in the eyes
 to make him open his mouth, then shoot a super missile in his mouth.
 When you damaged him long enough the entire ceiling will crumble except
 for a few platforms. Use those platforms to reach Kraid's mouth and then
 hit missiles or a charged Spazer beam into its mouth after shooting it in
 the head. It takes only 4 Super Missiles to destroy Kraid, but watch for
 the small projectiles that are flying around and the spikes on the floor.
 You can shoot the little claws for some missiles or energy.

 After the battle pick up what is leftover and then to the room to the right
 pick up the VARIA SUIT. Now head out of here and when you will eventually
 reach the metal door that is open that you couldn't reach earlier. In this
 room there a little creatures that hop onto you, destroy them with bombs
 and then in the ceiling is an ENERGY TANK hidden, shoot the ceiling to
 reveal it. Now head back to the elevator leading to Norfair and go down to
 Norfair.

=============================================================================
JOURNEY THROUGH NORFAIR
=============================================================================

 In here you can take the next door to the right, in here head to the
 bottom and then to the top right, shoot the pink door open and then
 continue on through. In this next room on the third crevace lies a set of
 missiles in the lava, if you have below 70 energy units, then don't bother
 trying to get the missiles(you will neat to shoot the wall revealing it).
 Then continue to the right and take down the green door and continue on
 through. In this next room the whole area will shake, but don't worry
 about it, its nothing much and its really there to scare you more than
 anything else. Continue to the right(and for those of you who played the
 original Metroid you will notice the familiar structure) and when you see
 a small area between two poles, drop a bomb that leads to the pipes and
 keep bombing your way through. You will eventually see two blue doors to
 the left and to the bottom. Take the bottom door, in this room there is a
 blue door to the right in the middle there is nothing in that door so take
 the bottom right door and continue on. Now keep going right, you will
 eventually see a room with a path to the bottom, ignore that and keep going
 right until you reach the room where a small earthquake occurs. Make your
 way to the right quickly and avoid the little "Alien(TM)" heads that you
 see on the wall. Keep going upwards and to the left blue door. In this
 room you will see a little green lift, take that lift across but roll into
 a ball to avoid getting knocked off. Now continue on and make your way to
 the very top, ignore the doors to the right and keep going to the top left.
 Now when you reach back out here to the green structures, take the top
 right and blast your way through with a Super Missile. In this room you see
 three pteradactyls at the top, destroy them and shoot the wall at the top
 to reveal a passage way. Then shoot through the top and go to the right,
 in this room just dash ALL THE WAY across until you see a pink door. Before
 you shoot the pink door, shoot directly above the pink door to reveal a set
 of MISSILEs, then shoot the pink door. In here pick up the SPEED BOOSTER
 and then head out. When you reach out here its time to take your SPEED
 BOOSTER for a test drive, hold onto the dash button and keep going and you
 will eventually turn into an unstoppable blue streak of energy that is able
 to decimate all that is in its path, you'll go so fast...ah forget it.
 Once you reach out here, head past the pteradactyl room and back to the
 giant green room. Go save your game at the middle left. Now continue outside
 and go back to the path where you had to bomb through the pipes, and when
 you end up to the place with two blue doors, take the left door and keep
 going left until you reach a save point(there will be a room where you will
 have to use your speed boosters). When you reach the save point head back
 to the vertical room and go upwards to the left until you see a green
 door(its green if you did not shoot it earlier, otherwise it will be blue)
 and then shoot it and enter through. Don't move any further, now dash
 across to the other side of the room, you should make it and then land on
 the barricades with bomb symbols on them. Then enter through to the left
 and keep going to the left until you can reach no further. From here
 go to the top and you will see a blue door at the top right, don't go
 through the door just yet, but instead shoot the floor in front of the
 blue door and roll into a ball and drop down until you can go through to
 the other side of the room and you will see a blue door. Shoot that door
 and pick up the ICE BEAM that is inside. Now head back to that room and
 then enter the blue door at the top. In this room you see a lava pool in
 front of you and a small hole across that can only be passible if you roll
 into a ball. Watch for the little yellow things that pop up, freeze them
 and use them as platforms until you get to the end. Then you will have
 to freeze the flying red crab, after that continue onwards. After you have
 dropped down, head out of this room by bombing to the right and return
 back to the elevator that leads back to Maridia.

=============================================================================
Brinstar and new artilery: NEW ACQUISITION OF THE POWER BOMBS
=============================================================================

 Now keep going to the left until you reach the long vertical room where the
 only room to the left is the energy recharge room. From here freeze the
 flying crabs with your newly acquire Ice Beam. Keep going upwards, but
 don't bother entering back to the forest of Brinstar, keep going upwards
 as you will have to freeze more flying orange/red crabs with your Ice Beam.
 You will eventually enter a blue door at the top right. When you enter
 this next room BE CAREFUL. There are spikes and fly traps that will eat you
 up. Keep going right but watch your step, make small jumps by tapping your
 jump button lightly. Now when you reach outside, shoot the floor below you
 and enter through to the bottom. You will see a green door, shoot that door
 and enter through. Freeze those yellow blobs and pick up the POWER BOMBs
 at the left. Now before you start to head outside, place a Power Bomb
 in front of the statue, it will decimate the wall behind the Chozo Statue
 and reveal a small passage to the Missiles. Now head out of here and go
 to the top and at the top right there is a save room through the blue
 door. You can save your game if you wish, then head out and go to the top
 left and you will see a green door. Blast that door open and watch for
 the giant Hoppers. Destroy the Hoppers first and then go to the left end
 of the room and use a Power Bomb, then drop through the plant, yes you
 heard me, drop through the plant and then pick up your other set of Power
 Bombs. Now head upwards through the elevator back to Criteria.

=============================================================================
RETURN TO CRITERIA
=============================================================================

 When you reach here, head to the left and dash your way through to the
 left. When you reach back to your ship, take a running start from the blue
 door to the left then JUST PRIOR to reaching your ship press the jump
 button WHILE STILL DASHING. You should land pretty high up, in fact you
 should be at the top right portion of this place and you should find a
 yellow door to the right. Bomb it and enter through to pick up your next
 set of Power Bombs. Now run off the platform you are standing on, you
 should be on the other side, now jump up and QUICKLY roll into a ball and
 place a Power Bomb, you should see the wall up top decimate. Now, YOU DO
 NOT HAVE TO ENTER THROUGH because it is a bit risky. If you do, you can
 pick up an extra Energy Tank and when you reach the end path there are two
 missiles to the sides but you can only get one at a time and you will have
 to enter through again to get the other set. After that you will end up
 in a familiar place where there are Space Pirates in the room with a blue
 door to the left and a pink door(or previously pink door if you shot it with
 your missiles) to the right. Keep going to the left and go back to Brinstar.
 NOTE: You can just keep going to the left to reach here if you did not
 attempt to go through the top path earlier.

=============================================================================
RETURN TO BRINSTAR
=============================================================================

 Now when you reach here take the next blue door on the right, you should
 remember this room because you got the pair of missiles but could never
 go through. But now since you have the Speed Booster you can advance to
 the right and pick up a RESERVE TANK. Now before you head out, roll into
 a ball and through the pipe at the bottom and pick up another set of
 missiles to the right. Now bomb that wall to the right and pick up yet
 another set of missiles. Now head out of this room, however the metal
 barricade closes before you even have the chance to get out. However, shoot
 the ceiling up top and go through. Shoot the enemies and collect the
 Super Missiles at the end and then drop down on top of the Super Missile
 platform. Not bad eh? That's a lot of stuff you had just acquired. Now
 head out of the room and drop all the way down, before you go through
 either door, you can bomb the whole platform below you with a Power Bomb.
 Now drop all the way down and through the door to the left. Keep going
 until you see a room with a bunch of silver blocks. STOP! Now move slowly
 forward and shoot the floor to see which portion of the floor is a fake
 floor. If you can shoot through it, its a fake floor. The Energy Tank is
 to the left, but the three blocks in front of the Energy Tank are false
 floors. Now take a running start from the end of the right side and then
 run and time your jump(you must jump at the same time as you are still
 dashing) to jump over those three blocks by taking a jump off the 5th
 block from the right of the Energy Tank. When you jump, you should reach
 the Energy Tank, then shoot the green door to the left and pick up the
 set of Super Missiles, then afterwards you can drop down outside in the
 silver blocks room. When you drop, the blue door to the left contains a
 save room, save your game and then head out and roll to the right.
 you will eventually reach a room with those little elves that show you
 how to reach up there. All you need to do is bounce off the walls and
 as you just hit the walls press the jump button again. It will bounce
 you off the wall in a zigzag like motion. But don't bother wasting your
 time, you can just bomb your way upwards and reach the first platform.
 Then head out of there, but mind you, it is a very difficult task to do.
 Also if you have a rapid fire controller, you can propell yourself on
 the right side of the wall using bombs in your morph form. If you do
 successfully get yourself up there, you can pick up a set of Power Bombs
 to the right, but its VERY FUSTRATING without a rapid fire controller.
 For now just take the first platform your see and roll out of there and
 head back upwards. Now head to the right back to the path to Maridia
 again, try to avoid running this time because you will open up a path to
 the bottom. However there is a bird in here that teaches you how to get
 out, take a running star and then when you turn blue, press down and then
 jump and you will zip out of there.

NOTE: You can let the bird out, but its no use anyways because you get
     nothing special.

 After the battle head to the right and keep going until you reach the
 large room of Brinstar. In here head to the right and go down and you will
 see a yellow door, you can blow the door if you like but you don't have
 the tools yet to get the item. Just head to the bottom right, and go
 through the door to the darker green areas of Brinstar. In here at the
 top right is a yellow door, blow that door up to pick up another set of
 Power Bombs. Then continue through the right until you see a room with
 green pteradactyls, in the ceiling is an Energy Tank in which you will have
 to shoot to reveal. Now head back to Brinstar and make your way downwards
 and keep going to the bottom right BUT there is another set of Missiles
 in this very room, the same room with the yellow door at the top right.
 You will have to freeze an insect and then jump up there(you must be
 spinning while jumping) to the green pipe just below the yellow door you
 had blasted earlier. Then continue onwards to the bottom right. You will
 eventually see a yellow door in the red area of Brinstar, ignore it right
 now because you don't have the tools to reach the item. Keep dropping
 downwards and to the right and head to the elevator that leads to Norfair.

NOTE: When you reach the waters and you can't seem to get through, try
     turning off your high jump boots.(Go to the screen by pressing start
     then press R and highlight your High Jump boots and press A)

=============================================================================
Defeat of Crocomore: RETURN TO NORFAIR
=============================================================================

 When you reach here head back to the room where you had to run through
 with your Speed Booster to get the Ice Beam(its the first door to the
 left). You will eventually find the Power Bomb barricades, bomb that and
 then go to the bottom left. Then drop down and head to the right, when you
 see the olive green colored background, just dash through this place.
 At the end, there is a green door at the bottom and a blue door to the
 right. First head upwards and then save your game in the room to the top
 right. Then head out and back down and shoot the green door then prepare
 for a boss fight.
=============================================================================
BOSS BATTLE: Crocomore
=============================================================================
 This battle is pretty easy, Crocomore has an infinite amount of life. Your
 only bet is to shoot him in the mouth and just push him back with your
 charged Spazer beam, missile or Super Missile. Eventually he will step on
 the weaker light brown platforms and drop down to the magma pit, which will
 eat Crocomore alive.

 After the battle ignore whats to the right and head to the left, WAIT! I
 thought Crocomore was gone? Don't worry it can barely stand up and it will
 knock down the wall in front of you and its bones will drop. Head to the
 left door. When you reach in here, go to the bottom right and save your
 game. Now head out and to reach the pink door at the top left part of this
 room, wait for the little red bugs to come out of the pipe and jump up
 so that they will try to match up at your height, then freeze them.
 Use the little critters as platforms to reach the pink door and inside
 contains a set of Power Bombs. Now head out and to the bottom blue door.
 When you reach here you can't do much inside the blue door to the left,
 so drop down the LONG vertical path and once you reach here there is a
 pink door which leads to a set of Missiles. Now head out and shoot the blue
 door at the bottom, in here place a Power Bomb to clear out the small
 blocks. Now from the right, take a running start and then quickly charge
 down as you reach the end of the platform and then quickly jump up and to
 the top right is a set of Missiles. Now head back to the running platform
 and charge and perform a super somersault jump(dash, and as you turn blue
 press the jump button as you reach the end of the runway. You should reach
 the blue door and inside here is a GRAPPLING BEAM. Now head to the top
 and you will have to use your Grappling Beam to reach across. Note that
 you will have use the Grappling Beam to reach across until you reach the
 room with a blue door at the top. Now head to the top right and in the
 room where Crocomore was killed use your Grappling Beam to the right and
 pick up the Energy Tank. Now head up and to the right and keep going
 until you reach a room with an energy recharge unit. You will eventually
 reach a room where you will have to grapple over lava with those claws
 trying to grab you into the spikes. Then when you reach the next room,
 go to the top right to the next room, in this next room an earthquake
 erupts again like it did before. Head upwards and to the next room
 continue to the left. When you reach a room with Dragoons popping up and
 Multiviola(those little red balls that makes wierd sounds), head to
 the top right room. When you reach here you will have to watch your step,
 then pick up the missile and keep going across with your grappling beam
 and then pick up the WAVE BEAM. Now head out of the room(you can drop
 down below, some of the spikes are fake) and continue to the top and
 then go to the top left part of the room and then use your grappling beam
 to get across to the green door. Blast the door and in this room pick up
 the Missiles and shoot the lava floor on the bottom left and a metal
 lift will open up, wait until the lift reaches its peak, then jump to the
 top and roll into a ball and bomb the wall to the left, it will open up
 a path to the left, shoot the blue door and inside and then at the end
 pick up a Reserve Tank, BUT shoot the small green and red platform closest
 to the Reverse Tank and pick up the Missile, and then head back outside
 to the large room of Brinstar. Now head to the bottom left blue door and
 keep going left until you reach the room with the elevator leading back
 to Brinstar.

=============================================================================
PATH TO THE WRECKED SHIP
=============================================================================

 When you reach up from the elevator head to the left and back to the room
 with the long vertical shaft where you have to shoot the red crabs to go
 upwards. Freeze them again, then remember that yellow door in the small
 left corner? Bomb that door and enter through, don't destroy the lightning
 bugs, otherwise the room will go dark. Go across with your Grappling Beam,
 and don't worry the little flying claws cannot knock you off. Keep going
 across until you see the pink door, blast it and inside pick up the X-RAY
 SCOPE, use it to view any hidden passages in any room. Now head out of the
 room and back outside to the red wall area. From here head straight up like
 you did before past the room with flesh eating plants and spikes and go
 upwards to the elevator. It will lead back to Criteria, head up the blue
 door and this time go to the right and kill the giant flies. Enter the room
 to the right and pick up the Missile using your Grappling Hook and continue
 on through to the right(watch for the shattered Grappling Hook platforms,
 they will only be able to sustain you for a few seconds). Eventually you
 will be outside, and note that you can use the flying green crabs as
 Grappling Hook platforms to get yourself across. When you reach the Green
 door, blast it open.

=============================================================================
SYSTEMS DOWN?
=============================================================================

 You've arrived at the old Wrecked Ship, the crew members are all dead and
 power seems to be down since you can't save your game. When you reach the
 long vertical path, go all the way down and blow up the floor, it will
 reveal a passage further downwards. Blast the green door open and enter
 through, in this next room bomb the bottom right path and roll through
 and blast the eye. Uh-oh, you know what this eye means. Blast the eye three
 times with your missile and enter through and prepare for a boss fight.
=============================================================================
BOSS BATTLE: Phantoon
=============================================================================
 This boss is going to be pretty tough, get your weapons charged up and be
 prepared. The tough part about this boss is that you can only hit him in
 the eye. However it's unpredictable when it will open its eye and even if
 it does open its eye it opens it for just a split second. Watch for the
 blue flames that it drops, you can shoot them but 1/7 will they ever drop
 something for you to refill. It takes about 6 Super Missiles to destroy
 him, but you can use your charged beam or your regular missiles to attack
 him if you run out. It will start to change to a darker color like Kraid
 and the Spore Spawn did. ALWAYS keep your weapon charged, once Phantoon
 throws out the row of flames, jump through them WHILE CHARGING your weapon
 at the same time. Then continue through at the same pattern.

 After the battle collect the items left behind and head out, you will also
 notice that the room is now brighter than before. This is because Phantoon
 was draining all the power to feed himself. Now head out of here and go to
 the left to the blue door and inside is a map room, update your map and
 then head out. Now head back up the way you came through the bombable
 floor. The metal doors you saw earlier are now flashing, take the next
 available door at the top left and pick up the Super Missiles inside and
 head back out. Keep going to the top, and the ceiling will be destroyable.
 When you destroy the ceiling, keep going and past the blue door. In here
 destroy all the enemies so you can enter through the doors, after
 destroying all the enemies go to the right path and pick up the set of
 Missiles inside. Now head out and take the left door, when you are outside
 head to the left and don't worry about the bottom right door. Now when
 you go to the left head to the small dot that you see on your map,
 when you reach there there is a small block on the floor which can be
 blown up by a Super Missile, jump up and point your gun down and blow the
 block and drop through and pick up the set of Missiles. Now head back up
 through the gap you shot the Super Missile with and keep bombing the floor
 to the right, you will eventually find a hole on the bottom floor. Now
 roll to the right and continue to the right past the next doors and you
 will reach a room with spikes on the floor and Grappling Hook icons at
 the top. Use your Grappling Hook and get across there and you will find
 a Chozo Statue in a stance figure, roll into a ball onto its hand and
 let it take you the rest of the way. When the Chozo Statue takes you down,
 take the bottom path first and bomb your way through, knock the robots
 into the spike pits and then grab the missile at the right Chozo Statue.
 HOWEVER, place a Power Bomb and blow up the Chozo Statue. It will create
 a long runway, so run through and then use your super jump to reach to
 the top. When you reach there pick up the Reserve Tank but watch for the
 hidden floor, otherwise you will have to start over again. Now head out
 and then go to the left back to the Chozo Statue that had brought you
 down here earlier. Now enter to the left door and pick up the GRAVITY
 SUIT, which allows you to move freely in water, cuts damage down by 75%
 and it allows you to take no damage from lava. Now head out to the left
 and you will drop downwards. When you drop downwards there is a set of
 Missiles underwater to the left. Now head to the top left and keep
 running to the left, CONTINUE TO GO LEFT until you reach the elevator
 leading to Brinstar.

=============================================================================
RETURN TO BRINSTAR AND THE PATH TO MYRIDIA
=============================================================================

 When you reach here head to the down right path and keep going until you
 reach the long vertical room of Brinstar(check your map). When you reach
 here here there are two places that you can go to, remember that yellow door
 that you saw earlier? Head inside and use your Grappling Beam to land on the
 Grappling Hook Icon and shoot the blue electronic door, then use your
 Grappling Beam again to head upwards on the platform. Inside here is an
 Energy Tank(which should be your 7th or 8th one, depending how you had
 followed the walkthrough). After that head out and use your beam and
 destroy the Hoppers and shoot the floor below to reveal a metal lift,
 which will help you to the top. Now head out of this room and go to the
 top left and use your Grappling Hook to get across and pick up the set of
 Missiles. NOW, use your Power Bomb and it will decimate the bottom floor.
 Now, do you see the black path to the left wall? Jump through and you will
 enter the next room, and at the end you should see a small block that
 doesn't exactly mesh in with the floor. Destroy that block with a Super
 Missile and drop down and pick up the Power Bombs. Now shoot the wall to
 the left and the metal door will lift, then head out of here. Now take the
 bottom right path and return to the giant glass tube you saw earlier in
 the game.

=============================================================================
THROUGH THE WATERS OF THE DEEP
=============================================================================

 When you reach the glass tube, place a Power Bomb in the tube and after
 the detonation, you will shatter the tube, which in turn allows you to go
 to Myridia. At the bottom is a save point, and to the top is a path further
 into giant Myridia(by that I mean its the largest part of the game). Now
 enter the door to the top, when you reach the giant ocean floors, head
 straight up to the top and go to the right door. When you enter through here
 turn into a ball and roll to the edge without falling over, now turn TURN
 OFF your Gravity Suit. Now roll off the edge and hold left on your
 directional pad. You will eventually roll to the room to the left, which
 will lead to a set of Super Missiles. Now head out of the small area and
 when you drop down, take the second door from the left and shoot the blue
 door and into the next room. From here head to the left and drop down to
 the first crevace from the left with a lavender colored Space Pirate.
 Down here head to the right through the invisible passage which will lead
 to a pink door, destroy that pink door and enter through. In this room
 ignore those cute little turtles(aww!!) and stand on top of the gaint
 turtle and it will lift upwards. Get your Grappling Hook ready and then
 jump upwards aiming your Grappling Hook to the Grappling Hook icon. Note
 that depending on where you step on top of the giant turtle determines
 where the giant turtle will lift straight up. Up above is an Energy Tank,
 and you will have to swing around to get it, but it can take a few practice
 tries. Now before you head out of the room, go to the right end of the
 wall and stand on the turtle and then keep shooting up the wall until it
 reveals a set of Missiles, you can get the Missiles without morphing into
 a ball. Now head out of this room and when you reach the Space Pirates
 room, head back to the upper right and into the room that you were in
 before.

 Now when you reach here, head upwards to the top right by using your
 Grappling Hook, and you will have to grapple onto those gold mutated
 balloons or whatever. And then grapple onto the Grappling icons above,
 ignore the blue door to the top middle of this room though. Then grapple
 to the right and to the next blue door(note that it might take some time
 before you actually succeed since there is timing involved). Now when you
 enter the next room, shoot the floor down below and then head to the
 right and you will see a green door, blast that open and then continue on
 through. Now Power Bomb your way down and to the left is a pink door
 which contains a save room, after saving your game head out and start
 dashing to the right and charge down until you see the last opening to
 the right. Super jump through that and it will lead to a set of Missiles.
 Now keep going to the right but use your X-Ray Scope to check the floor
 in front of the Super Missiles, jump over that floor and pick up the
 Super Missiles and then drop down. You will notice a blue door to the
 right, don't worry about that door there is nothing inside it. Now head
 back out to the long runway, but this time super jump upwards to the
 path just infront of the entrance where you had came in. And at the top
 left shoot through the blue door and enter through. You will notice a
 familiar foe(for you Metroid veterans), mainly the Metroids. In this room
 go to the top right and shoot the wall and it will break through and then
 shoot the bottom and shoot the right side. Now when you drop down, you
 will have to take a running start from the bottom left and then dash
 towards the right and it will break through the Speed Booster icons.
 Then enter the next room for a boss fight.
=============================================================================
BOSS BATTLE: Sea Dragon(forgot name)
=============================================================================
 This battle isn't hard, all you have to do is aim missiles or charged
 beams at its head. It will go through the holes and sometimes it will
 shoot out little green fireballs from its mouth, but take the time to
 aim for its head and just keep aiming for its head.

 After the battle the right wall will explode and aloow you to go through.
 In this next room DASH through to the right side(you will see an Energy
 Tank, ignore it for now) and then continue through. Watch for the Metroid
 it will latch on to you if you do not kill it quick. Now morph into a
 ball and roll to the bottom right and it will lead to a Missile Recharge,
 if you don't need it then don't bother. Now continue through upwards and
 watch for three Metroid larvas, destroy them and grapple your way to the
 top right door. In this next room watch out for the Metroids, and then
 jump down and grapple forward. Don't stay in the quicksand too long,
 there are spikes down there. Keep going forward to the right and you
 can kill the Metroids with your Grappling Beam. However note that it might
 take some practice to get across to the top right. When you reach the
 top right, enter through to the save room and to the right of that save
 room is an energy recharge room. After saving your game head out and to
 the bottom right path and shoot the green door and enter through.
 In this room walk(yes ALL THE SPIKES HERE ARE FAKE) to the far right and
 shoot the right wall for a Missile. Now head back to the first set of spikes
 near the entrance of this room, drop through(yes they are false spikes) and
 shoot the eye and be prepared for a boss fight.
=============================================================================
BOSS BATTLE: Dragoon
=============================================================================
 Now when you first enter through here shoot out all three side panels with
 your missiles to both the left and right. You might want to use it later
 on. Now your main goal is to hit Dragoon in the stomach, keep shooting him
 but watch for the little white spores that come after you. If one of them
 latches onto you, Dragoon will grab you and repeatedly hit you, but if you
 shake hard enough and fast enough(basically go crazy on your controller)
 you can shake free. If you have about 110 missiles at your disposal, shoot
 them like crazy aiming for his stomach, even if he shoots out those little
 white spores, you can still over power them and hit his stomach about 10-
 30 times a round! That should make for a quick killing, however if you want
 to kill him a fast but painful way, then follow this: First equip your
 Grappling Beam and let Dragoon grab you, wait until you reach the side
 panels and then use your Grappling Beam and latch on, it will shock you
 but it also drains down a lot of Dragoon in a matter of seconds! Its the
 quickest victory possible but you must have at least 7 full Energy tanks.

 After the battle head to the left and pick up the Space Jump. Now Space
 Jump your way to the top right and head out of here(press the Jump button
 constantly to propel yourself). When you head out of this room, you can
 save your game. After that Space Jump your way out of here to the left
 and back to the vertical room with the Metroids. Destroy them and the
 metal door to the left you saw earlier is now open. Head through that door
 and continue on through. In here watch for the shooting cactus plants,
 destroy them and keep Space Jumping through to the left and continue
 through. In the next room head down and keep going to the left, and when
 you reach the area where you see small green plants on the floor, head
 upwards to the top middle of this room(use your space Jump) and you
 will eventually find a path that only your Space Jump can get to in the
 middle. Enter through the door and then Space Jump to the top right and
 continue on through. You will find a room with Space Pirates, but you
 can't kill them with the weapon that you have now. Head to the bottom
 right of this room and pick up the PLASMA BEAM. Now lets get some ass
 kickin done, you'll be amazed by the power of this gun. Destroy the Space
 Pirates and then head out of this room and back outside to the long
 vertical room where you used the Space Jump to get here, now head out
 to the left and then drop down and take the left path and you will
 see a green door. Shoot that green door and then drop down through the LONG
 pipe. Now when you enter this room destroy the floor and take the right
 path and keep going until you see a Grappling Beam Icon at the top.
 Grapple onto the icon and then enter through to the top and Space Jump your
 way all the way to the top right(watch for the little bugs that try to
 knock you down though). Now when you enter here, keep going down until
 you see the next door to the right, BEFORE YOU GO IN, select your
 Power Bombs and morph and roll inside, now quickly detonate a Power Bomb
 so that the right wall blows up and DO NOT DESTROY THE CREATURE. It will
 plow a way through to the right and only it can paved the way. Now keep
 going to the right and in this room pick up the SPRING BALL, and to
 head out of this room you must use your Spring Ball, which will allow you
 to jump in morph form. When you head outside this room, drop downwards
 and keep going to the left and eventually you will see red crabs come
 from the opening on the floor. Roll down and into that opening in the
 floor and then keep going to the left and you will have to open the gate
 with a Super Missile. After that head downwards and then go to the left
 and save your game at the bottom. Now head upwards and back to Norfair
 on the elevator.

=============================================================================
RIDLEY'S HIDEOUT
=============================================================================

 Now head down and to the bottom right door that leads to a save room. Then
 in the room to the right, dash your way across into the next room. In here
 drop down below and then shoot the gate to the bottom left and enter through
 the door. Keep going down until you see a door to the right, enter that door
 and into the large lava spike pit room and Space Jump across(you've been in
 this room before) into the next room where you will see a blue gate. Shoot
 that gate and roll through to the room and at the bottom lies a yellow door,
 blast it open and enter through. In this room drop to the lava down below
 and Space Jump your way across to Ridley's stone structured mouth at the
 top left. To the left is a save point, you might want to save your game
 because there are some pretty tough suckers in Ridley's Hideout. Then take
 the elevator down, and notice the music change. Now head to the left
 and keep going(NOTE: This place is full of magma, which is too hot for your
 current suit to handle very long) to the next room. In here there is a magma
 pit, Space Jump across to the Chozo Statue hidden in the bricks, Power Bomb
 through and roll into a ball onto its hand. The magma pit will drain by
 itself and allow you through, then continue to the bottom right AND STOP
 IMMEDIATELY ONCE YOU GET TO THE NEXT ROOM. You will see a set of Missiles
 across, Space Jump to get them because the floor will collapse once you
 step on it. Now drop down and prepare for a boss fight, but move slowly
 to the right as the Gold Chozo Statue will drop on you.
=============================================================================
BOSS BATTLE: Gold Chozo Statue
=============================================================================
 This boss battle isn't too hard, use your charged Plasma Beam and it should
 take only 10 shots to kill him. When he drops those small fire bombs, shoot
 them for items when you need it.

 Now go to the right room and get the SCREW ATTACK(you should have all the
 suit enhancements now) and return back to the room you fought the Chozo
 Statue in. At the top, Screw Attack your way up to the right and place
 a Power Bomb to clear the debris and pick up the set of Super Missiles.
 Now head down and to the right(where you got the Screw Attack) and then
 Screw Attack your way upwards to the next right room and recharge your
 energy and head out and keep going upwards to the top right door. In here
 there are a lot of flying crabs, freeze them and continue through past
 the green gate and continue through and keep going right until you reach
 a room with an earthquake. Screw Attack through the old structures and keep
 going to the right. In this next room, Screw Attack your way up the vertical
 room, but before you enter the door to the top right, shoot the ceiling
 and enter through the door at the top. Now in this room shoot the first
 block and when you drop to the next platform BOMB ONLY THE LEFT MOST
 BLOCK and roll through to collect the set of Missiles. Now head out and go
 back up(if you keep going down, you will eventually meet where you had
 started earlier) to the top right room(be careful though, the blocks to
 the right will drop you down below). Here continue to the next room and
 Screw Attack your way across, but becareful though since you don't have
 much time as the magma will quickly rise. In the next room, shoot and
 blocks down below and bomb the floor and continue through the bottom.
 You will see a blue door to the right, save your game and then head out
 and continue to the bottom. Bomb your way through until you reach a
 yellow door, bomb that door and drop through. In this next room shoot
 the spikes and a metal gate will lift and allow you to roll through to
 the left. Now once you destroy the enemies, bomb the bird statues BUT,
 roll to the bottom left and pick up a set of Power Bomb. Now continue
 on down past the green door and enter through. In this next room, you
 will face(yes believe it or not) kung fu Space Pirates. You can only hit
 them while they are yellow or throwing something at you. It takes two
 shots to take them out, then continue through to the left. Now keep going
 to the left and you will eventually see an eye at the door. Shoot it and
 prepare for the battle where you and Ridley left off at the Space Colony.
 Remember, your fighting for keeps!
=============================================================================
BOSS BATTLE: Ridley
=============================================================================
 This battle will be pretty tough, it takes 20 Charged Plasma shots to take
 Ridley down. You can use Missiles and Super Missiles but that would take
 too long since a charged Plasma Beam is the strongest weapon you have(well
 besides of course your Screw Attack and your Speed Boosters). Keep shooting
 at him with charged Plasma Blasts and watch for him to pick you up, you
 can shoot him when he picks you up though(unlike a certain someone, hack
 cough, Dragoon). Note that you will probably lose a lot of energy in this
 battle, but that's okay if you win :)

 After the battle pick up all the remnants left behind and enter through to
 the room to the left. In here the Metroid Tube is broken, but shoot the
 lower right of the room and pick up the energy tank. Now return back to
 the spike room, and keep going upwards and go back to the last save room.
 Save your game and then head upwards to the right blue door. In this room
 you see an Alien(TM) head to the right, go behind it and drop down below
 to pick up an Energy Tank. Now head back all the way to the top and you
 will see a blue door to the top right. Ignore that door and head to the
 left wall(its an invisible passage) and shoot the blue door to the left.
 Now in this next room, head to the top right and pick up the set of
 Missiles. Now use your X-Ray Scope and check the wall to the right, you
 will notice that you can advance past the wall through the narrow paths,
 use your X-Ray Scope to help you get across to the next blue door at the
 floor. In this next room pick up the Power Bombs and head to the left
 and back into the room you picked up the Missiles in. This time take the
 top left blue door and in this next room to the far left is a set of
 Missiles. However you will have to bomb the first platform you step on
 to get into the room that carries them. Now head out and back to the
 upper left and in this next room you will be back in the upper parts of
 Norfair. Head out of here back to Brinstar in the elevator room(if you
 still get lost, then I just don't know what to say).

=============================================================================
FINAL CONFRONTATION
=============================================================================

 Now keep going to the left and just return to Criteria(through the elevator
 in the green parts of Brinstar). Along the way back, you will come to the
 place where you had picked up the Charge Beam from earlier in the game.
 Go back there and bomb through and you will eventually pick up an energy
 tank. Now continue back to Criteria and when you reach the elevator room
 in Criteria, keep going to the right until you reach the room with Space
 Pirates on the upper platforms. You will see a pink door(or previously pink
 depending if you shot that door or not), enter through to the room with
 Golden statues of the four bosses in each area. After the statues do their
 work, the floor will collapse and let you through to the bottom elevator.
 Now when you enter down, save your game to the bottom right and then head
 out to the left. You also wonder "why do I already have a map of Tourian?"
 well in the original Metroid, Samus already visited here. Keep going
 through(its pretty linear) until you reach a room with giant blue hoppers.
 You can't destroy them at all(!), not even with your current weapons.
 Keep going into the next room and you will see a blue hopper come at you.
 Then suddenly a HUGE ASS Metroid sucks the life out of it and then sucks
 the life out of you. However, it only leaves you with one energy left,
 wonder why. Oh well, keep going through and check your map and you will
 eventually see an Energy Recharge and Missile Recharge room. Recharge your
 supplies and then continue on through, past the eye guard and then save
 your game. In the next room shoot the orange parts of the wall, you must
 destroy them quickly, otherwise the walls will reform back. Then at the
 end destroy Mother Brain with MISSILES ONLY, mainly because your beam will
 render in effective. You can freeze the energy rings so they stop coming
 at you. However, the battle has just begun as Mother Brain rises upwards
 and becomes this huge fugly dude with amazing powers.
=============================================================================
FINAL BATTLE: Mother Brain
=============================================================================
 In this battle just keep aiming for its head with everything you've got.
 Avoid its attacks and eventually Mother Brain will power up this intense
 beam and then sucks away four energy tanks away from you. It will continue
 to do so and you can't do nothing about it, just when you are about to go,
 the giant Metroid you saw earlier sucks the life out of Mother Brain and
 then gives the energy back to you. However, Mother Brain has so much power
 that it steadily regains its vitality on its own, even when the Metroid is
 still recovering you. Then Mother Brain attacks the Metroid until it dies,
 *sob* however, it releashes energy and gives it to Samus far supererior than
 what she is holding. Check your stats and LOOK! LOOK! you've got a friggin
 awesome and 10x times powerful than a Charged Plasma Beam HYPER BEAM!
 Fire it at Mother Brain and just watch the power as it punches her head
 back like an uppercut! Just keep aiming and don't worry about her
 projectiles.

 After the battle, you still have to get out of here! A 3 minute bomb has
 been set, head to the left and keep going back to your ship. Also remember
 the room where you had gotten the bombs?(you will eventually meet there)
 Inside that room blast the right door and leave, you will save your friends
 earlier that helped you get out of a certain room. Now head back to your
 ship and watch the fireworks fly as the entire planet of Zebes explodes
 and also watch the right part of your screen as you will see a tiny dot
 zoom by. That's the friends that you have saved earlier flying away in a
 little ship.

 Now watch the credits scrool by and you will get a percentage at the end.

NOTE: There are three possible endings, one has Samus still in her suit and
     shooting you, another has Samus take off her helmet, and the last one
     has Samus in JUSTIN BAILEY or just in swimsuit. Below are the times to
     acquire the endings, especially the last one you pervert you (^_^).

  Under 2:30 - JUSTIN BAILEY
  Under 10:00 - Helmet off(still has underhelmet gear though)
  Above 10:00 - She stays in her suit.
