I recently played through Secret of Evermore and found myself
constantly needing to know 3 things which were not readily available in
the guides I could find. So I thought I'd put these things together for
quick reference. They are:

I. Exactly What to Buy in Nobila
II. Bargain Hunting (where to find the cheapest ingrediants)
III. Ingrediant Requirements (necessary ingrediants for each spell)

I. *Exactly What to Buy in Nobila*
======================================================================

Here's what I'll do: I'll tell you exactly what you need to buy so you
can get everything you should in Nobila and later, Gothica.

NOTE: I highly suggest that you get your spice and rice free from the
invisible whirlpool outside Nobila. It's just to the left of the Nobila
entrance. It should be right below the large rock. You know you're in
it when you start spinning around. Keep spinning until you go
underground and get 99 spice and 99 rice. You'll need to eventually do
it twice because you're gonna need a lot of spice.

From the Whirlpool get these:

150 spice
99 rice (you'll actually only need about half this amount)

19 Beads
8 Perfume
1 Spoon
3 Gold Jackal
4 Tapestry
2 Limestone Tablet
4 Jeweled Scarab
5 Chickens

So that you can get:

1 Jade Disk

1 Moxa Stick
1 Silver Sheath
1 Ruby Heart
1 Bronze Gauntlet
1 Obsidian Helm
1 Stone Vest
1 Centurian Helm
Tiny to throw the stone (need a Mud Pepper)

Sometime before leaving Antiqua you should also buy these:

So that you can later get:

II. *Bargain Hunting*
======================================================================
This section is for finding out where the best price for each
ingredient is. You can compare, for example, how much an ingredient
costs in Prehistorica to how much it -should- cost in, say, Gothica.

Terminology:
* marks the lowest price in the game for that item.
++ indicates that the price is the best, but is only temporary

Keep in mind that:

1 Talon=1/2 Jewel 1 Jewel =2 Talons
=1/4 Gold =1/2 Gold
=2 Credits =4 Credits

1 Gold =4 Talons 1 Credit=1/2 Talon
=2 Jewels =1/4 Jewel
=8 Credits =1/8 Gold

NOTE: After I made this part of the guide I found something very
similar to it by Carson Lee at RPGamer. I know that sounds
really lame to say "How could I rip him off if I didn't know
about it?" But I figure that since

a) it's not exactly an original idea to want to compare all
ingrediant prices in Evemore and

b) GameFAQs doesn't have something like this and

c) RPGamer is not exactly the place people go for gameplay help
anymore so Carson Lee's FAQ is probably not going to see a
whole lot of action (that's not to say that this one will
either since so many people hate this game)

d) I honestly did make this on my own

I'm, therefore, justified in including this portion of the guide
