In this FAQ I have typed up the dialogue and story related text that appears
in Pocky & Rocky for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

* Opening *
********************************************
Some time ago,
the Nopino goblins
went on a rampage,
however,
Pocky had put
an end to that,
and
they had been quiet
since then.
One day,
all of a sudden
Rocky the Raccoon,
a Nopino goblin,
came running to
Pocky's shrine.
He said
Rocky: Something terrible
has happened.
Pocky: What happened?
Rocky: My fellow Nopino goblins
have lost their minds.
When I woke up,
they were very agitated.
When I tried
to calm them,
they came after me.
Pocky: Why?
I thought that
they were cured.
Rocky: I don't know either.
In any case, I can not
handle this by myself,
I need your help.
At that moment
a goblin appears.

* Level 1 & Cut Scene 1 *
********************************************
Boss 1 (Goblin): Ha, ha I am your adversary.
*******************
Boss 1: Where am I?
Pocky: Looks like
he is cured again.
Rocky: What happened?
Boss 1: .........
It was about last night,
we were having a party
in the woods,
when a stranger wearing
a black mantle appeared.
I tried to talk to him
.........
(We see the stranger shooting lightning
from his hand)
Boss 1: That was the last thing
that I remember, and when
I awoke, I was here.
Rocky: Who is this
Black Mantle?
Pocky: The goblins in the forest
must be in danger.

* Level 2 & Cut Scene 2 *
********************************************
Boss 2: Do you want to know where Black Mantle is?
Then you must defeat me...
*******************
Boss 3 (Octopus): Hey, that is enough Nopino goblins,
after all you are of no use.
I will take care of it.
*******************
Pocky and Rocky
listened to the story
told by the cured goblin.
Goblin: I don't really know who or
what Black Mantle is.
I saw him talking to
a strange goblin.
It was at the cemetery
below the river.
Rocky: At the cemetery,
huh!
Goblin: That octopus
must have been
one of them.
I don't know what’s out
there, so be careful.
Pocky: Thank you.
The fog is thick
and a certain
creepiness is in the air,
as Pocky and Rocky
run toward the cemetery,
to chase Black Mantle
and
his Goblins.

* Level 3 & Cut Scene 3 *
********************************************
Boss 4: Oh!you have found me.
Not bad for a Nopino goblin.
Let me give you a reward.
*******************
Boss 4: Bothering us would be unforgivable,
coming from a Nopino bumpkin like you.
Let us show you our strength.
*******************
Rocky: They were the Gorgonzola
goblins, coming to invade
the Nopinos.
So they cast a spell
on the Nopino goblins,
and they are in the way.
Pocky: If we leave them,
it will be a disaster,
hurry!
After clearing
the underground passage,
a creepy looking ship
appeared.
and off in the distance was
the fortress of Gorgonzola.
Pocky: There's the Gorgonzola
fortress. I bet Black
Mantle is there too.
Rocky: If we get on this boat, we
can make it to the fortress.
Pocky: Let's go.

* Level 4 & Cut Scene 4 *
********************************************
Boss 5: Black Mantle is in the castle,
however you won't be able to get to him,
as you will die here.
*******************
Pocky: We made it
to the fortress.
Rocky: Somewhere in this fortress
must be
the evil Black Mantle.
*******************
Black Mantle: You made it all the way
here, but this is the end
for you.
This fortress
will be your grave.
********************************************
* Level 5 & Cut Scene 5 *
********************************************
Boss 6: Your friend Black Mantle told me.
I could use you for my experiments
when I catch you.
*******************
Pocky: Everyone OK?
"Thank you, we are fine."
Rocky: Now run off, all of you.
Pocky and Rocky go to
the depths of the fortress
for the final battle.
********************************************
* Level 6 *
********************************************
Black Mantle: You came all the way here!
I underestimated you,
but now this is the end for you..
********************************************
* Ending *
********************************************
"Huh,
what was I doing?"
"Where am I?"
"What happened?"
Rocky: The Gorgonzola goblins
had been under the spell of
Black Mantle.
Pocky: Black Mantle is gone,
the curse has lifted.
The Gorgonzola goblins
went home.
Rocky: They were
good little goblins
after all.
Pocky: Let's go home too.
The Nopino goblins
return to normal
and go home with Rocky.
Pocky goes home
to her shrine.
and as if
nothing had happened,
the sun sets.
She will dream better
than usual tonight.
