                             3) Walkthrough
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
~Hmmmm... I shall call this level "Highway of Dooooooommm!!"~

Okay, basicly just go through the level blasting things.. And you might have
to do the wall jump a couple of times though. When you get to the end, you meet
the boss...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                                 =VILE=

You don't have to do anything here, although I like seeing how many times I
can shoot this bugger. After you get paralyzed, VILE will pick you up by the
neck and insult you!! Then you will here a gun charging, followed by a blast
blowing of VILE'S machine arm!! Yeah! Zero will pop onto the scene, and talk ta
ya. Now you can pick a Maverick's stage to go to.

Small Note- I am listing the Maverick's stages as you probably should
visit them. Of course you can visit them in any order you please, but I
suggest that you visit CHILL PENGUIN'S stage first, so you can get the Dash
Boots.

*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*

                            ~CHILL PENGUIN STAGE~
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE DASH BOOTS-
Actually, just follow the path until you see a capsule. Dr. Light's hologram
will apperar, and after much talking, he will give you the DASH BOOTS!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE HEALTH TANK-
After you beat Flame Mammoth, follow the main path until you have to part with
the huge robot machine thing (like VILE had). Then DASH BOOT wall jump (by
holding A while pressing B) to the upper area. Destroy the two Igloo type
things with Fire Wave and under one of
them there will be a HEALTH TANK.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                       =FIGHT WITH CHILL PENGUIN=

If you have Fire Wave, just keep using that. If not, shoot CHILL PENGUIN with
charged shots and X-Buster pellets while you can. If he shoots ice pellets at
you, wall jump on one wall while charging your gun. When he gets done, jump
down and blast him! If he starts making ice statues, charge up a weak blast an
pelt him with it before he gets done. Destroy the ice statues if he tries to
shoot ice pellets at you. If he jumps up and grabs the string, dash in the
direction of the wind and wall jump until the statues are destroyed, then jump
down and blast him. If he tries sliding through the statues, wall jump on one
side and wait for him to stop, then jump down and blast him.

ARGUEMENT: "I disagree with the strategy for destroying the ice penguins Chill
makes with his breath. They actually provide good shielding cover from his ice
pellets.  Okay, so you can't hit him, but it is better than trading hits with
him when he fires those pellets."
ARGUEMENT Submitted by "Tahna Los"
=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=

                          ~STORM EAGLE STAGE~
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE HEALTH TANK-
(You must have the DASH BOOTS) From the start, go to the moving platforms and
get as high as you can. At the top, dash jump to the left and keep going left
and you'll fall on a platform with the HEALTH TANK.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE SUB TANK- Keep going until you reach the part with the
Vertical moving platforms. Go left instead of right, and blast through the
glass. Jump up and acquire the Sub-Tank.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE HELMET-
(You must have the DASH BOOTS)Go past the part with the vertical moving
platforms until you reach a big high tower type thing. When you get to the top,
go down instead of jumping on the platform. Slide down about to the middle of
the tower type thing,
then dash jump to the right. Destroy the explosive tanks and go into the
chamber to find the capsule containing the helmet.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                        =FIGHT WITH STORM EAGLE=

EASY!! Okay, if you have Chameleon Sting, use that, if not, the X-Buster works
just fine. At the start of the battle, he'll try to blow you away by flapping
his wings, keep dashing back towards him and blast him with  charged blasts or
normal pellets. After awhile, he might try one of two things. The first, he'll
shoot a tornado at you, blowing you away. Just dash until you get away from the
tornado, then blast him with all you got. The other thing he might try is he'll
fly up, (at this point he might throw an egg down, with four birds hatching
from it) and start using a diving attack. Just jump to avoid his attack, and
blast him if you can. Eventually he'll head back down (he might throw an egg
here) and either try to blow you away with a tornado or flapping his wings, or
he might just go back up and do some more diving attacks. Blast him when you
can 'till he dies.

*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*

                         ~FLAME MAMMOTH STAGE~
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE X-BUSTER-
(Must have HELMET and DASH BOOTS) Okay, go past the  part with all of the
conveyer belts, and go to a place where you see icy looking blocks on the
celing. Go right to the next platform, and dash jump to the blocks. If you hit
one of the blocks, keep dash wall jumping until
you reach the top and the capsule to reach a powered up version of the
X-Buster.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE HEALTH TANK-
(Must beat CHILL PENGUIN'S STAGE first) Go to same part with the platforms as
you did to get the X-Buster. Instead of climbing up the platforms, go under
them to the right to receive this
stage's HEALT TANK.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE SUB TANK- (Must have HELMET and DASH BOOTS) Go to the
platform area, and instead of going up and towards the right, go to the top and
dash jump to the very left until you get to an area with blocks you can destroy
by wall jumping them. Collect the SUB TANK.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                        =FIGHT WITH FLAME MAMMOTH=

Use the Storm Tornado for this battle. Get as close to him as you can, and
then blast him with the Tornado. Reapeat until he dies. In the event you don't
have the Storm Tornado (shame on you!) then you can still kill him with your
trustsy X-Buster. Dash under him when he jumps and blast him with a charged
shot when he lands. When he starts throwing fire at you, just wall jump on the
nearst wall. When he gets done, blast him!!

If you have the Boomerang Cutter:
"Use it on Flame Mammoth and his Trunk falls out. He can't slime you with it,
and unfortunately, he can't change the direction of the movator. This is bad if
you want to use the weak spot at Flame Mammoth's Foot."
Submitted by "Tahna Los"

ALTERNATE STRATEGY:
"There is a spot in which you can hit Flame Mammoth without getting hit one
bit. Stand directly in front of him as close as possible. That way, you are
stepping on his foot (don't worry, you won't get hit), and when he fires his
oil slick and fire bursts, he can't hit you. You can only do this for a few
seconds, as he either jumps, or the two of you are getting close to a wall.
Stay at that point and power up your X Buster. You can get as many as 10
charged shots into him without having to move or getting hit."
ALTERNATE STRATEGY Submitted by "Tahna Los"

Note- From here you can go one of two places, STING CHAMELEON STAGE (if you
would like to get powered up armor) or SPARK MANDRIL STAGE (because you cankill
him easily). STING CHAMELEON is really really tough if you don't have the
Boomerang Cutter. I am going to take you to STING CHAMELEON's level, so you can
get the armor.

=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=

                       ~STING CHAMELEON'S STAGE~
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE ARMOR-
(DASH BOOTS NEEDED) Follow the path until you get to the part with a three
different places to go. (Up, down, right) Dash Jump up to the edge of the cliff
and wall jump to the top. At the top you'll meet a pretty tough mini-boss, so
be careful. After you destroy him, the
capsule will appear containing the Armor.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE HEALTH TANK-
(DASH BOOTS needed, LAUNCH OCTOPUS' stage needed to be completed, HELMET
needed) When you get to the part with three different paths to choose, go down.
Destroy the blocks by wall jumping, and when you touch the ground, Dash Jump to
the edge with the HEALTH TANK.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                     =FIGHT WITH STING CHAMELEON=

If you have the Boomerang Cutter, use it. If not, follow this startegy. When
STING CHAMELEON hangs on to the celing by his tongue, shoot him with the
X-Buster as many times as you can OR blast him with a charged shot. When he
goes up to one of the top corners of the room, go directly diagonal from him
and wall jump up the wall and blast him. When he gets close to you, blast him
while avoiding his dangerous tongue. Good Luck!
ARGUEMENT: "Don't bother trying to win the draw when he turns invisible and
moves really close to you. His Irontongue has a dead-on accuracy, and it is not
really worth trading hits. Other than that, you can simply use the other
techniques you mentioned using the X-buster to defeat him."
ARGUEMENT Submitted by "Tahna Los"

*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*

                       ~SPARK MANDRILL'S STAGE~
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE SUB TANK- (Must have Boomarang Cutter attack) Go forward, kill
the rocket launching machine, go up the ladder, to the right and down that
ladder, kill the machine, get close to the wall, jump up and use the Boomerang
Cutter attack to collect the SUB TANK.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE HEALTH TANK-
(DASH BOOTS help) Go along until you come up to the part with the rocket
launching turtle. Destroy it, and go to the right most wall. Wall jump up and
get on the platform with the HEALTH TANK and collect it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                     =FIGHT WITH SPARK MANDRILL=

Just use Shotgun Ice on him. I have never fought him without it.

ALTERNATE STRATEGY: "The objective here is to stay away from him without
grabbing the walls because he can knock you down from them quite easily. The
only time in which you can nail him from the wall is when he grabs the ceiling
and uses it to "carry" him towards the other side. You can nail him with 2
charged shots, as he "carries" himself quite slowly. When he "carries" himself
close to you, dash underneath him, otherwise he will land on top of you. He can
also jump towards you, in which you have to dash underneath him as well, then
nail him with a charged shot.

Other than that, stay away from the walls. This is because he does a
dash punch on the wall which will knock you into him and cause damage. The only
way to stop this is to be on the ground, and as he starts charging, just fire
at him. The force will simply knock him backwards, and out of the punch
animation. Doesn't matter if you fire a fully charged shot, or a puny pellet.

Finally, he uses his spark technique which crawls along the floor and walls.
Just jump over the sparks, and stay away from the walls and hit him with more
charged shots."

                      ~ARMORED ARMIDILLO STAGE~
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE SUB TANK-
Go to the part with the first huge machine that destroys the land. Let it pass
you and go into the chamber where it was to get this SUB TANK.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE HEALTH TANK-
Go to the part with the second huge machine that destroys land. Pull out your
Fire Wave attack and destroy it quickly. Go along the path, and you'll see the
HEALTH TANK. (Guess how to get it).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE HADOKEN-
(You must have every Maverick defeated, all SUB TANKS, HEALTH TANKS and
capsules found + 6 or more lives) Go to the boss door and climb up the cliff
and collect the health capsule. Now jump off the cliff and die. Repeat about
five times to find a hidden capsule containing the HADOKEN. You must have full
life to pull it off. Press down,
down+forward, forward and Y.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                      =FIGHT WITH ARMORED ARMIDILLO=

(Note- I have not fought this guy without Electric Spark) Use Electric
Spark to shock off his armor, then dodge his attacks while using Elecric Spark.
ALTERNATE STRATEGY: "You COULD defeat him using only the X-buster. But you can
only fire one pellet, he blocks the rest. And you can only hit him after he has
reverted to his normal form after bouncing across the
screen. Unfortunately, this takes too much time, and your great-grandkids would
have had their own great-grandkids, so I wouldn't recommend it. If you want,
you can use the Electric Spark to shake off his armor, THEN go after him with
fully charged X buster shots. Very easy that way, but that's kinda like
cheating."
ALTERNATE STRATEGY Submitted by "Tahna Los"

*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*

                         ~LAUNCH OCTOPUS STAGE~
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE HEALTH TANK-
Go past the second ship like thing, and on the surface of the water will be a
huge submarine (like the one on the cover of the cartridge). Destroy the
submarine and stay on as it takes you to the depths of the ocean. Go into the
small crevice and fight a dragon thing. When it dies, go farther right to find
this TANK.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                      =FIGHT WITH LAUNCH OCTOPUS=

(Note- I have not fought this guy with-out the Rolling Shield attack)

At the start of the battle, bust out your Rolling Shield, and attack
LAUNCH OCTOPUS with it. Dodge his missles he shoots out, and when he tries to
suck you up with a vertical tornado, walk/dash in the oppisite
direction. Blast him as many times as you can.

If you have the Boomerang Cutter:
"Use it on Launch Octopus and his arms fall out. He can't fire the 4
homing fishes, and he can't suck the life out of you. Easy way to even
the score."
Submitted by "Tahna Los"
ALTERNATE STRATEGY: "Despite the fact that you have the rolling shield, you
need to excercise a strategy for it as the missiles that he launches can
disperse of the shield rather quickly. Soon you'll be left with no shields to
fire. So, try to hit him at an angle; just simply jump up and fire. The rolling
shield will fall directly into the boss. This is especially useful when he
fires the fish at four different angles. As for fighting him with the X-buster:
Fire lots of pellets to disperse the missiles. One or two pellets will hit the
boss. The best time to hit him with a charged shot is AFTER he tries to suck
you in. If he tries to jump after performing this move, just jump up and hit
him on the way up."

                       ~BOOMER KUWANGER'S STAGE~
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ACQUIRING THE HEALTH TANK-
(Boomerang Cutter required) Right before your final climb to the top of the
stage, you'll notice a HEART TANK just out of reach. Use the Boomerang Cutter
to get this HEALTH TANK.
ALTERNATE STRATEGY- "As for the heart tank in Boomer's stage, you can
charge up S. ICE to create a sled for X to slide on. Use this on the
platform just below the tank, and this will give X leverage to jump on the
platform above."
ALTERNATE STRATEGY Submitted by "Tahna Los"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                      =FIGHT WITH BOOMER KUWANGER=

(Note- I have not fought this guy without the Homing Rocket)

Pull out your Homing Rocket, and let 'em loose!! Just dodge his attacks and
let the Homing Rockets do the rest!!

*At this point in the game, collect all of the stuff you missed, such as HEALTH
TANKS, SUB-TANKS and Enhancements.*

*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*

                            ~SIGMA STAGE 1~
TROUBLE SPOT: Near the begining, when you have to jump on those moving
platforms, you should charge up a Rolling Shiled and let it go, creating a
small force field around you that will destroy those annoying little bats!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                                =VILE=

At the begining of the fight, just let him paralyze you like before. Zero will
then break free of his prison and self-destruct on the back of VILE, destroying
his machine thing. For the second part of the battle, pull out your Rolling
Shield, and let loose like there's no tomorrow!!

ALTERNATE STRATEGY: "The Homing Missile works wonders. And since it
tracks your opponent, all you have to worry about is dodging his attacks. As
for dealing with him using the X-Buster, just simply avoid his attacks, and hit
him when he hits the ground."
ALTERNATE STRATEGY Submitted by "Tahna Los"

After you destroy him, talk to Zero and if you didn't collect the X-BUSTER in
FLAME MAMMOTH'S stage, Zero will give it to you for free!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                    =RE-FIGHT WITH BOOMER KUWANGER=

(For all of the refights, I will just put the above stratigies down here, so
you don't have to scroll up!)

Pull out your Homing Rocket, and let 'em loose!! Just dodge his attacks and
let the Homing Rockets do the rest!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                       =FIGHT WITH BOSPIDER=

The spider will come down from the top of the screen to the bottom of the
screen on strands of green spider web. When it gets to the bottom and opens
it's red part on it's abdomom, blast it with Shotgun Ice. Sometimes it will let
down spiderlings, just destroy them with charged X-BUSTER blasts.
ALTERNATE STRATEGY: When fighting the Spider boss on the first Sigma stage,
you can tell where it will go, if your eyes can scan fast. I noticed that it
takes EVERY green connecting line it comes to. The best strategy (works for me)
is to stand in the middle and charge your X-Buster. When the green connecting
lines pop out, quickly follow, starting from where the spider is, the path it
will take. If you can scan fast enough, move to the EXTREME OPPOSITE side of
the room from where it will go. When he gets to the ground, time your X-Buster
shot so that it hits him. *Also, it speeds up gradually as you damage it,
making it progressively harder (*I can't remember, but you might have included
that).

                           ~SIGMA STAGE 2~
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                    =RE-FIGHT WITH CHILL PENGUIN=

                     =RE-FIGHT WITH STORM EAGLE=

(Note- I suggest not using Chameleon Sting, save it for the main boss of this
stage)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                      =FIGHT WITH RANGDA-BANGDA=

Okay, this boss is pretty darn easy! When a eye opens up, blast it with
Chameleon Sting as many times as you can. When the walls start closing in, wall
jump to stay up and away from the spikes, all the while shooting the floating
thing. Reapeat the process until all of the parts are destroyed.

                          ~SIGMA STAGE 3~
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
(Note- I forget the exact order in which these bosses appear, but these are
pretty close)

                  =RE-FIGHT WITH STING CHAMELEON=

                   =RE-FIGHT WITH SPARK MANDRILL=

This is because he does a dash punch
on the wall which will knock you into him and cause damage. The only way to
stop this is to be on the ground, and as he starts charging, just fire at him.
The force will simply knock him backwards, and out of the punch animation.
Doesn't matter if you fire a fully charged shot, or a puny pellet.

Finally, he uses his spark technique which crawls along the floor and walls.
Just jump over the sparks, and stay away from the walls and hit him with more
charged shots."

                 =RE-FIGHT WITH ARMORED ARMIDILLO=

(Note- I have not fought this guy without Electric Spark)
Use Electric Spark to shock off his armor, then dodge his attacks while using
Elecric Spark.

Very easy that way, but that's kinda like
cheating."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                  =RE-FIGHT WITH LAUNCH OCTOPUS=

ALTERNATE STRATEGY: "Despite the fact that you have the rolling shield,
you need to excercise a strategy for it as the missiles that he
launches can disperse of the shield rather quickly. Soon you'll be left with no
shields to fire. So, try to hit him at an angle; just simply jump up and fire.
The rolling shield will fall directly into the boss. This is especially useful
when he fires the fish at four different angles. As for fighting him with the
X-buster: Fire lots of pellets to disperse the
missiles. One or two pellets will hit the boss. The best time to hit him with a
charged shot is AFTER he tries to suck you in. If he tries to jump after
performing this move, just jump up and hit him on the way up."

                   =RE-FIGHT WITH FLAME MAMMOTH=

                        =FIGHT WITH D-REX=

Okay, use the Boomerang Cutter for this fight. Attack the upper part. When it
chomps down, make sure you are in mid-air. Some-times it will charge up a shot,
which takes about 5 seconds to charge. Blast him before he blasts you, and then
go back to the wall. Repeat until well done.

                          ~SIGMA STAGE 4~
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                     =FIGHT WITH SIGMA'S PET=

Not so hard. Just blast him with Shotgun Ice. Avoid his Ice-Blasts and
Fire-Blasts. Also make sure not to stay in one spot for to long.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                        =FIGHT WITH SIGMA=

Sigma is kinda weak against Electric Spark, so use that. Wall jump about to
the middle of the wall, and Sigma will follow. Jump down right when you can
face him so you will blast him in mid-air. Repeat untill he dies.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
                     =FIGHT WITH SIGMA'S HEAD=

You must bust out the Rolling Shield for this fight, because nothing else will
hurt him. When one of the claws comes down towards you, JUMP ON IT. Blast the
head with Rolling Shields, and try to stay on the hand as long as you can,
avoiding the heads fire and electric blasts, at the same time avoiding the
claws vertical lightning bolts. Use Sub-Tanks when you have about a sixth of
your life meter left. Destroy him and you beat the game!!

Thanks to [email protected], who pointed out that you can hurt Sigma with
a charged X Buster Blast.

ALTERNATE STRATEGY -
"Actually, this isn't just easy, it's pretty cheap. Pull out Rolling Shield and
wait. When a claw comes down, jump onto it and stand to the side facing Sigma.
Slowly(but not too slowly) walk across the claw towards Sigma and stop when
only X's back foot is still on the claw. You won't get hit by the lightning
from the claws! The only thing you have to worry about is it the other claw
charges at you. If you notice the other claw coming at you, dash off the claw
your on. Avoid the fire blasts by standing to the far right or the far left and
avoid the lightning balls by dashing between two balls(hopefully, you've got
good timing). There's only one time where you can jump, fire Rolling Shield,
and land back where you were and that's then the claw stops to fire lightning.
Of course, you can also fire whenever you want and get back onto that part of
the claw, but you have to be quick because you can't memorize when the claw's
going to fire lightning. The Hadoken doesn't work because the claws never take
you high enough long enough to pull it off. Plus, you'll take damage and will
probably end up wasting your Sub-Tanks trying. If you run out of Rolling
Shield, a Level 3 charge is the only other thing that damages it. Continue
until Sigma dies."

                               4) FAQ
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the part where I will ask your questions.

Q: How do I use my SUB-TANK???

A: Well, I'm not exactly sure on this, as I lended my game out, but I
believe that first you highlight the name "SUB-TANKS" in the menu and press B.
The game will autmaticly use 1 SUB-TANK.  Could someone please send in the real
way to do this? Thanks.

A: About using the Sub-Tanks, you're half-right.  You highlight one of the
tanks (only tanks with at least some energy are selectable; if they are all
empty, you cannot select any) and press B. Whichever tank you selected will
then COMPLETELY empty its contents, filling your life bar as much as it can,
regardless of how much life you need. The game must REALLY like to be
organized, because if you choose one other than the one in the upper-left, it
shifts the rest up and left.

ACQUIRING THE HADOKEN-
(You must have every Maverick defeated, all SUB TANKS, HEALTH TANKS and
capsules found + 6 or more lives)In the Armored Armidillo stage go to the boss
door and climb up the cliff and collect the health capsule. Now jump off the
cliff and die. Repeat about four* times to find a hidden capsule containing the
HADOKEN. You must have full life to pull it off. Press down, down+forward,
forward and Y.

*Corrected by "Steve Gavazzi"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ALMOST UNLIMITED 1-UPS-
Also in the Armored Armidillo stage, near the begining, there is a fat bat. One
of a kind. If you shoot it at the right time, it will give you a 1-up. Go to
the left just enough so that the spot where the bat hangs, then come back and
it will reapear!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
ENERGY REFILL-
There are two areas that I would like to point out to refill your energy when
it gets low. In order for this to work you need to fully charge your Rolling
shield so that it surrounds you.

Sigma Stage One: Just after you beat Boomer Kuwanger, there are lots of
hard hats, spiked wheels, and Bats. All can be dispersed of by the Charged
Rolling shield (except the hard hat when he drops his head). You can get lots
of power ups and refill your sub-tanks and weapons here.

Sigma Stage Four: Where the Catarpillars are. I don't think I need to say any
more.

That may be it for now, but who knows.

EASIER HADOKEN:
No prob, I just said that for the hadoken move, you dont have to go through all
the trouble of pressing down, down+foward, foward, and y. Simply press
down+foward, then y! that saved me LOTS of time of trying to beat sigma. To
beat sigma with it, just have all sub tanks full, then jump on the wall so he
follows you, when he jumps up once, fall back down and hopefully he wont land on
you, then shoot him with hadoken and he wont block it. if he DOES land on you,
then just jump back up and pull out a sub-tank.

I found that the Haduken move can only be executed when you're at full
energy. Also, if you die 5 times in the pit *before* collecting all the heart
capsules you can collect them and then return to the level and the Dr.Light pod
will be there. It's nice to know the game is flexible for these sorts of
things. It'd also be a good idea to mention that the Haduken is incredibly
powerful and can beat Vile in his normal state (without his big rotbot suit) in
one hit.
