Legal Issues
This guide was compiled by S.T. Alexandri and is intended for private, non-
commercial use only. I do not, however, claim property to anything that can
be readily accessed by anyone playing the game, so feel free to do with it
as you will. If you want to pass the original guide off as your own, then at
the very least change this section:) If you just want to post this guide at
your website, feel free to do so, as long as it is provided on a non-commercial
basis. Note that any contributions are credited to their submitters, check with
them if you want to use it.
UPDATE Notes: Finally, an update! Wow! Just to note that due to my financial
capability (or rather the lack of it) it will take a considerable interval
between updates (and new publications, too). Rather than editing the original
guide, I’ve decided to place any and all updates in their own section, to make
it easier for those who have read the main guide. Also, I forgot to mention
this in the earlier version, but please put faq as the subject if you decide to
contact me about this (or any other) faq. My apologies if anyone have written
in but did not get any reply, as I may have accidentally deleted your mails. I
would appreciate it if you’re willing to re-write.

FORE-WARNED
Majin Tensei is a tactical RPG by ATLUS set in the same? setting as their
Shin Megami Tensei series. While it is not as popular as Persona, another
spin-off of the Megaten universe, it is quite good in its own way. And,
being a tactical RPG with most of the menu in English, easier to play than
its parent series, as well as being somewhat better than its first
incarnation.
FULL-MOON
This is an items/equipments list to Majin Tensei 2: Spiral Nemesis for the
SFC. I have listed all the kanji, (tentative) translations, and most
effects, as well as the hex identifiers. The item identifiers starts at
address 7e0700?? (PAR) and 1313 (save state) for the 1st item with an
increment of 1 afterwards (i.e. 7e0701?? for the 2nd item, 7e0702?? for the
3rd, etc.) Simply replace the ?? with the identifier codes given in the
leftmost column. The address for items quantity starts at 7e0800?? (PAR) and
1413 (hex) for the 1st item, again with an increment of 1. For quantity, try
not to exceed 99 (63 in hex). Note that the codes work on ZSNES, I'm not at
all sure if it holds true for all emulators. While the list is quite
complete, I hope to update it as soon as I have more information on the
translations and effects of some items (yes, that was a !HINT!). Some weapons
appear to be slayer-type weapons (indicated by *number in their stats), good
against certain types of enemies. I have included the explanation (in kanji)
and my rough translations under the NOTES section of the list, if anyone can
confirm or refute it, please do so. On with the list:
NOTES:
UPDATES:
02 ませき Maseki (Heals 100 HP)
"Maseki" was translated as "Magic Stone" in the original Persona title, and I
believe it's the same in the SMTs although I forget what was used offhand.
1e アメノムラクモ Amenomurakumo? (Att 135, Acc 105, VIT +3)
Ame-no-Murakumo. It's a sword. It's traditionally in all of the SMTs. You can
actually find it in one of the tombs in SaGa Frontier, actually.
24 レーヴァテイン Levatein? (Att 112, Acc 85)
Levantine.
3b ローズエストック Rose Estock (Att 60, Acc 105)
Estoc, please.
bd ドラウプニル Doraupuniru? (Def 6, Evd +5, WS +5)
Draupnir, although I could be wrong on that.
Also, your "Yakuto" stuff is actually "Jagd" stuff.
I'll let you know more as work begins on Spiral Nemesis. It ain't starting 'til
the first Majin Tensei's done, though, and that involves deciphering the bloody
EVIL demon dialogue format. Auch, my brain!

CONTACT:
While I have been gaming and writing guides for quite a while, this is the
first that I actually submitted for publication, and I would welcome any
comments or suggestions. I can be contacted at stiale-at-yahoo-dot-co-dot-
uk (please put faq as the subject), while Megaten Haven members can PM the
smooth one (uhh, Silk, that is).
PROJECTS:
In case anyboy’s interested, I’m currently working on both the stage and
demons guide for Spiral Nemesis, and I welcome any input (especially
translations). In addition, I’m also trying to memorize my katakana and
hiragana :), in case you haven’t noticed already, I don’t know Japanese.
GRATEFULNESS:
- GameFaqs just for being
- Aeon Genesis for the excellent translations, I wouldn’t touch any game
in Japanese if not for those fine introductions.
- Glenn Rosenthal for JWPce, without which, this guide would be
impossible to do.
- Weemar for being a friend, Freakyno for being a, well, freak, and
Winsiy for letting me hog his PC night after night after night...
- Anybody who wrote in, you know who you are
- "Evil forces are always afoot. They're lousy fliers"
HISTORY
- v0.9 1st version, finished by June 22nd, submitted to gamefaqs at 25th.
All items and codes with most efects listed. I did however forget
to re-edit the document for universal publication, hence...
- v.091 2nd version, finished re-editing by June 25th, replacing all the
TABs with spaces and a fixed-width font, changed encoding to
Shift-JIS. Added more item effects.
