1. Intro _____________________________________________________________________
Hello. This is my first FAQ. First let me tell you about Kirby's Avalanche!
Kirby's Avalanche is kind of like Tetris, except there are levels and instead
of the bricks there are blobs. Battle through the levels and become the Ava-
lanche Champion!!!

3. How to Play _______________________________________________________________
The object of Kirby's Avalanche is to try to get your opponent's third column
from the right to get to the top. Once that happens your opponent loses. In
order to do that, you have to create boulders (black blobs) by getting 4 blobs
of the same color all touching one another. Then, they will all explode (If
there are some boulders surrounding them, the boulders will get destroyed too)
To get many boulders on your opponent's area of the screen, you can try mak-
ing "chain reactions". Chain reactions are when 4 blobs explode and then that
causes another quadruplet of blobs to explode and you can keep doing. The game
says weird things when you make chain reactions such as "yeah", "cool", "ex-
cellent!", "watch out!", and "here it comes!". So that is how you play Kirby's
Avalanche.
3.5 Controls _________________________________________________________________
D-Pad - Up does nothing, left and right will move the blobs left and right.
Down makes the blobs go down faster.
A Button - Spins the blobs
B Button - Spins the blobs
X Button - Nothing
Y Button - Nothing
Start - Starts the game, Pauses the game
Select - Nothing
3.7 Types of Chain Reactions _________________________________________________
"Yeah" = Single Chain Reaction (1)
"Excellent" = Double Chain Reaction (2)
"Watch Out" = Triple Chain Reaction (3)
"Here it Comes" = Quadruplet Chain Reaction (4)
4. Competition Mode __________________________________________________________
There are 4 modes on the main screen. The first one is Competition Mode. In
Competition Mode you are in a competition with many of Kirby's enemies to be-
come the Avalanche Champion! There are three levels in Competition Mode, be-
ginner, normal, and hard. Now let me walk you through the levels.
Beginning Level
Stage 1
Waddle Dee
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 1
Waddle Dee is the easiest you'll ever challenge. He usually will just try to
explode his blobs, hit him with a few chain reactions and he'll be gone in no
time!
Stage 2
Bronto Burt
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 2
Bronto Burt will hit you with a couple of "yeahs" but nothing more. You have
to get a good "excellent" on him, and then he'll be down.
Stage 3
Waddle Doo
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 2
Waddle Doo will also hit you with a lot chain reactions. You need to hit him
with a good "excellent" or maybe even a "Watch out", because if you don't,
the boulders will keep piling and piling and piling until it reaches the top
Normal Level
Stage 4
Poppy Bros. Senior
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 2
You don't really need to make a lot of chain reactions to defeat this guy,
just make a couple of "yeahs" and he'll be defeated. He doesn't make many ei-
ther. Once in a while he'll make a "Yeah" though.
Stage 5
Wispy Woods
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 3
Wispy woods starts the game by making 4 rows of blobs. While he's doing this
quickly hit him with an "excellent" or "yeah". Once you've done that, hit him
with an "excellent" and then you'll win. However, if you take too long to make
the "excellent", then Wispy Woods will get you with a big chain reaction.
Stage 6
Kabu
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 3
Kabu is very sneaky. If you take too long while you're making your chain reac-
tions, he'll get you with a big chain reaction. Make 2 "excellents" FAST, and
that'll defeat him.
Stage 7
Broom Hatter
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 3
Broom Hatter starts the game by filling the left and right columns with blobs,
do many "yeahs" to defeat her.
Stage 8
Squishy
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 3
Don't take too long making a big chain reaction because if you do, he'll make
it quicker than you and he'll defeat you. To beat squishy, make an "excellent"
fast, and then make 2 "yeahs". That will defeat squishy.
Stage 9
Lololo and Lalala
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 4
Be prepared for a hard battle. Lololo and Lalala are fast when making chain
reactions! You have to be faster. To beat them, you need to make many "yeahs"
and "excellents".
Stage 10
Bugzzy
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 4
Bugzzy's strategy is that he makes huge chain reactions piling his blobs al-
most to the top! You need to prepare an "excellent" and when he's almost at
the top... trigger the chain reaction!!! That'll defeat Bugzzy, just be sure
not to wait to long or he'll activate his chain reaction first!
Stage 11
Paint Roller
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 5
Paint roller has the same strategy as Bugzzy except Paint roller is much
quicker when making chain reactions. You need to make your chain reactions
quicker too. Try making an "excellent" and then a few "yeahs" and that should
defeat him!
Stage 12
Heavy Mole
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 5
Heavy Mole hits you many times. You need to counter his attacks by making many
"excellents" and then triggering them all at the same time, followed by a few
"yeahs". That should defeat him!
Stage 13
Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 5
Shine and Bright like to connect blobs together and let them explode. The best
I can tell you to do here is to give then a couple of "excellents" and that'll
defeat them.
Stage 14
Kracko
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 6
Kracko also likes to pile blobs high and make big chain reactions. Try making
a couple of "watch outs" and trigger them when kracko is near the top of the
screen. That'll defeat kracko!
Stage 15
Meta Knight
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 7
Meta Knight makes many "yeahs", you need to make many "excellents" and "watch
outs" and bury him in boulders because if you don't he'll bury you first.
After you've buried him, he'll try to make a comeback (and most likely succeed
) so you need to make another "excellent" quick, and that should defeat him!
Stage 16
King Dedede
______________________________________________________________________________
Difficulty: 8
Well, you've made it to the final battle. Congratulations! Okay, King Dedede
is a little slow with making chain reactions, so that's your chance to do one.
Just make small "yeahs" every time he tries to make a chain reaction and even-
tually it'll bury him.
______________________________________________________________________________
Congratulations you've beaten the game!!!
5. 1 & 2 Player Mode _________________________________________________________
In 1 & 2 player mode you can battle a second player. First, you need to choose
the speed of the blobs. There are 5 choices, mild, medium, spicy, hot, and
Cajun. They go in order of speed from least to greatest. After you select that
then you can start playing. Have fun!
6. Practice Mode _____________________________________________________________
Practice Mode is kind of like 1 & 2 Player Mode except, you aren't versing
each other. You're just practicing your Avalanche skills. 2 Players can prac-
tice together. First, you need to select the speed of the blobs. There are 3
choices, I'll list them from slowest to fastest. Mild, spicy, and Cajun. After
that, you can start practicing. Happy Practicing!
