I. Introduction:
Okay so the basic premise of it all isn't very complicated:

"Back in the distant past (way Back-Like when "Rock and Roll" was just "Rock"
and "fast food" was dinner you couldn't catch, lived two cave dudes named Joe
and Mac.  Whether it was dinosaur demolition derbies (tyrannosaurus rex), or
pterodactyl hang gliding (peakin' the beak), life for the boys was cool.

Cool that is, until a bogus bunch of Neanderthal nerds, crashed their villaged
and scared off all the cave babes (Neanderthals still hadn't discovered
toothpaste)...Now all the cave babes are out there somewhere, lost and
lonely...it's up to Joe and Mac to get em back"

Joe and Mac is one of those games that well, seems like every other one in its
time. It's basically a normal side scroller that sits in the shadow of greater
games such as Super Mario.  Joe and Mac is short, and has nothing really
innovative other than 2P Super game, but it's still mildly difficult and
necessitates me writing a FAQ about it.   ^_^

On with the FAQ, indeed.

II. Game Modes
1P game: A normal, side scroll, beat the bosses.  Pretty straight forward
2P game: Just like 1P, except the people play and take turns and switch off
2P Super Game: Two people play simultaneously.  This introduces the element of
jumping on each other's heads to get special items and such.
Game options: Change the game to your needs, options include
Difficulty: Easy Normal Hard
Controls: allow you to change the buttons to either shoot or jump.  You can
have all shoots, but that wouldn't really work.   The default controls are also
here:
X: Shoot
Y: Shoot
A: Jump
B: Jump.
Music: Change between Stereo and Monaural.

V. Weapons Guide

Club:
Pros: You don't have to pick it up to get it.   It's also very accurate ^_^.
Cons: It does very little damage, and you must be right next to the enemy to
hit them with it.   You cannot use it by itself after you pick up another
weapon.

Bones:
Pros: Picked up early on, it's better than the club, has a moderately high
firing rate.
Cons: All other weapons are better in most circumstances.  The boomerang does
as much damage, and also goes farther.

Boomerangs:
Pros: Does as much damage as the bones, and stays out in play much longer.
Very good for hitting people from far away as it does not go downwards like
fire and Bones do.   You can have as many of these in play as bones (but these
stay out for longer).
Cons: Doesn't do a lot of damage.

Fire:
Pros: Does a LOT of damage. Very nice for picking off Neanderthals and for
doing tons of damage on bosses.  It also explodes on contact with the ground.
Cons: Only one can be out at a time, and it doesn't go very far without
dropping.

Stone Wheel
Pros: Does a significant amount of damage (for every 4 of these, it takes 3
fires to do, which says a lot).   It also rolls, until it falls of an edge or
hits something, which can be very nice as you can hit something without even
realizing it.
Cons: only two can be out at a time, and not as powerful as fire.

In general, try to use fire and the wheel a lot.  Boomerangs have their uses in
certain cases, but fire and the stone wheel are almost always your best bet.

Press Start to come to the world map.  You only have one choice of where to go.
 Head into the first stage.

Level 1:
Start off by heading right and jumping on top of the yellowish-brown
pterodactyl.   Then do a big jump (jump+up) to get on top of the ledge with the
brown egg.  Smash it open to get the boomerang upgrade.  Up ahead there will be
some more pterodactyls, hit them with the boomerang or your club and pick up
the big piece of meat if you need it.  On the very bottom of the screen there
will be a Neanderthal carrying a brown egg.  Hit him with the boomerang or your
club and smash the egg open for the bone upgrade.   You can switch back to the
boomerang by hitting select.   Continue to the right killing the pterodactyls
and then jumping over a ledge.   Here there are two Neanderthals and a piece of
meat.    Kill them both and take the piece of meat if you need it.  Before you
jump to the next "platform", a Neanderthal will try to jump over.  To prevent
him hitting you, hit him with bones or boomerangs.   Then hop over to the next
platform.   Here there are more pterodactyls.   Make sure you kill the purple
pterodactyl and then hop down off the ledge.  Kill the cavemen and crack open
the egg.

If you did everything right you a pink pterodactyl should come out of the egg
and carry you to a different section of the level (if you didn't scroll down):
here take the pieces of meat that you see and crack open the egg for a one up
and take the key when you are done.

If you did not get flown away by the pink pterodactyl/completed the secret
area:

Kill the purple pterodactyl or jump on top of them to get the fire upgrade
(very nice as it kills Neanderthals in one hit), and keep jumping across the
platforms.   You might want to do big jumps, as they are slightly easier to
control.  Continue up the ledges and kill the cavemen (he may drop meat so take
it if you need it).  Do a big jump off of this ledge to get the piece of meat
floating in the air, and land on the back of a large dinosaur.  Kill the
pterodactyls and cave men as you go across its back (I suggest not going down
as it seems more dangerous).  Jump over the rock that the Neanderthal throws at
you and continue across killing the cavemen and pterodactyl near the sleeping
dinosaur's head.  As you continue right, a small t-rex will approach you.
Throw fire, bones or boomerangs at it and it should fall fairly easily and
leave a nice reward.   Now it's time for the boss fight

Boss Fight 1:
Description: Large T-rex-esque dinosaur
Life bars: 5
Strategy:

Pretty simple, I usually stay on the upper ledge and throw fire or my most
powerful upgrade at him.
His attacks consist of charging at you with his head (easily countered by
simply running backwards and throwing more bones or fire or boomerangs at him),
or throwing Neanderthals out of his mouth (this is more dangerous for the
bottom row usually, because he rarely throws one at the top row (it will bounce
on the ground first)).   Just keep throwing stuff at him and he will fall very
easily.

GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at the main map, you finally have a choice of where to go.   I suggest
heading up to a continue spot (I don't see why you wouldn't), and then going
back down and to the right to the next stage.

Level 2
Start off by heading to the right and dealing with the cavemen here.  Drop down
to get the fire upgrade (you don't really need to if you already have it).  Hop
back up and kill another Neanderthal.  A gray pterodactyl will fly to you.
Wait until it is over solid ground and then kill it as it drops and egg.  Take
the bone upgrade inside of the brown egg and jump onto the surging water and to
the next platform (big jumping is very convenient for this part of the game).
To the right of this platform there is an electric fish, hit it with a bone or
boomerang and continue across the next few platforms doing the same thing.
Eventually you will get to another surging water, jump on it and onto the next
ledge, and do the same with the next two.  Hit the egg and open the egg.
Continue right killing everything in your sight and jumping up the ledges.  Now
you will meet some new enemies, little, green plants.   They are nothing to
worry about as they are easily killed in one hit by everything.  Jump down into
the pit and avoid the large rock that the caveman throws at you.  Then jump up
to the next platform and do a big jump to get on the higher platform and get
the big piece of meat.  Then jump over the far platform (it is safer), kill the
Neanderthal that tries to jump over you or let him fall to his death.  Then
jump down and break open the brown egg for another bone upgrade.  Now time for
the boss fight

Boss fight 2:
Description: Large Carnivorous plant
Life bars: 5
Strategy:
This fight is extremely easy if you have fire.  Toss the fire so it hits the
ground near his roots.  It will explode and do a lot of damage in just one hit.
Make sure you don't hit him in his mouth or he will eat the fire and spit it
back out at you.  With any other weapon just hit him in the head avoiding his
large mouth.   His attacks consist of throwing seeds for those smaller plants
that you saw in the level (just hit them once and they die), whipping his arm
at you (just duck), and as previously mentioned.  Spitting out your own weapons
against you (just avoid throwing weapons at his mouth).  He should drop pretty
quickly, even more so if you have fire.

GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT!
!!!!!!!!IMPORTANT!!!!!
Note: go back and play this level again, and try cracking opening some of the
eggs in this level (i.e. where you'd normally find the red egg) you might find
the stone wheel.  Which makes boss battles significantly easier.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at the main map you can choose to go forward for another continue spot and
if you have a key you can open the first locked level.

Locked level 1:
Lots of meat will fall, keep picking it up and you will definitely get to full
health.  Now avoid the 1 up and then slide across to get all 5.

Now continue on to the third stage, one of my least favorites

Level 3:
Okay,  head up the tree killing all the pterodactyls that you can.  Now you can
do this level in one of two ways with the beehives.  You can try to get a high
score and kill all of the beehives (not really much strategy for me to tell you
other than or you can do it the cheap way.
The high score way:
You will see three beehives use boomerangs to kill the bees and their beehives,
you can also use fire to take out the hives very fast (but make sure you don't
get hit by the falling hives!).   Then kill the two cavemen and  the two hives
on the screen above.

The cheap way:
The second you get to the beehives, with great haste, make your way up the
tree.  You can kill the Neanderthals to get some score and some places to jump,
but if you get hit make sure to take advantage of the invincibility time that
you get after you are hit.

Either way, you will probably lose at least  one heart in this level, unless
you are insanely skillful.   At the top of the tree you will have to fight a
boss

Boss Fight 3
Description: Green-Flying Pterodactyl
Life bars: 8
Strategy:
This guy isn't too hard.  Just equip your strongest weapon (it should be fire).
He'll swoop down at first and give you a free shot at him.  Just remember,
that you can hit him almost always whenever you see part of him on the screen.
He usually takes his time getting off the top left part of the screen and he
can't really hit you so just jump and hit him with your weapon.  Sometimes
he'll slowly just fly across the bottom part of the screen.  Run to the
opposite side of the screen and throw your weapons at him.  If you did it
correctly he should fly up right before he gets to you giving you even more
time to hit him.   One of his more annoying attack sis the one where he drops
down from the sky and blows you across the screen.  He is vulnerable when he is
coming down so do a small jump and toss a weapon.  He'll also speed across the
screen, so just jump over him quickly when he comes towards you.  He should
fall pretty quickly, as the only real way you can get damage from him is by
getting hit by the birds from eggs that he drops (just kill them really
simple), or if you jump into him or he runs into you.

GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at the main map, you can choose to go to the second locked secret area.

Locked Secret Area 2:
This is first, choose the right egg level.  Just pick one to get a weapon or a
1 up.

Then go to the next level
Level 4:
Ahh yes, the forced scrolling right level, gotta love em.    Head right killing
and avoiding the fish that jump at you.   Break open the brown egg on one of
the first platforms for a bone upgrade.  Continue jumping across the platforms
killing a Neanderthal.  There will be a series of platforms and there will be
two Neanderthals.  Kill them both and drop down to get a big piece of meat.
Continue right killing the pterodactyls on the top row and the fish that jump
up at you.  You'll meat up with another Neanderthal on the top row of
platforms, so do away with him if need be.  At the end of this long platform
another Neanderthal will jump at you from a smaller platform, do away with him
for some points.  Jump from his platform to another, and fight another
Neanderthal next to a water surge.   Jump on that and avoid the fish and jump
on another platform, jump up and you will be on a platform with a bunch of
Neanderthals, do away with them. if you killed all of them you can open the red
egg and be taken to a secret level by a pink pterodactyl

If you got the pink pterodactyl:
You'll be dropped off on  a series of ledges, jump up on each of them and below
you, you'll see two 1 ups.   Drop down  (jump+down) and you can get both.  Head
to the left and jump back up, at the top of the ledges jump and get the key.
The pink pterodactyl will drop you off right next to the boss.
If you finished the secret level/didn't get the pink pterodactyl:
Continue right killing the Neanderthal in a vehicle and the fish and
pterodactyls that come at you (bones and fire will do fine, but if you went
back and got the wheel, you will be very happy).  Kill some more pterodactyls
and another guy in a car to the right and you will eventually get to boss.

Boss Fight 4
Description: Series of "ill tempered" Jurassic dolphins
Life bars: 10
Strategy:
There isn't much strategy to this I don't think.  Just use the boomerang, and
just keep throwing and make sure that you avoid them jumping up.  Try to time
your jumps so that they don't hit you while you are in the air.  Don't be
discouraged by the plethora of life bars this boss has.  It ends pretty
quickly, but this boss is one of the hardest in the game, without a doubt.
Eventually he'll fall
GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
You only have one choice here, and that's to go down to the fifth level

Level 5:
Almost as annoying as the third level, probably more so because there is no
cheap way around it.   Now head as far down the screen as possible.  I find it
is best to zig zag across the screen but in a downward diagonal motion.  The
further down you go, the easier it is to see when the rocks are coming, which
facilitates the dodging process.  Make sure you DODGE the ledges that can cause
you to lose lives if you get stuck.   After this your health is probably very
low, but too bad, there is a boss too fight.

Boss Fight 5
Description: large aquatic dinosaur
Life bars: 8
Strategy:
This guy isn't too bad.   Especially coming from the level 4 boss.    Use fire
on him or the wheel if you got it.   He doesn't have too many attacks, and they
are all easy to dodge.  First he'll come out of the water and do some weird
seizure-> rock back and forth deal. Hit him in the head with your strongest
weapon.    Keep firing even as he goes back down.  He shoots out some water so
it's probably best to stand near the left of him (or opposite side of what he
comes in on) and throw your weapons right under his head.   Sometimes he'll
just try to take you out by running his head across the bottom of the platform.
Just jump over him.  He'll also try to spit fish up.  Get down on your knees
and throw bones at his mouth and he won't be able to get any out of them and
you'll be able to get a free hit on him at the end most likely.  Be careful, he
also, like the carnivorous plant, can also eat your weapons and spit that back
out at you.  So try to stay under him.  He should fall pretty easily.

If you happened to have picked up the stone wheel, this will come in handy as
you can kill this guy before he goes back into the water for the first time (or
when he comes up for the 2nd time).

GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
You now have the choice of unlocking another gate, but you can see it's just a
save point, so you probably shouldn't even bother.   Just continue towards the
sixth level.

Level 6:
When you first enter this level kill the guy carrying a brown egg.  Continue
heading right and kill the Neanderthals that are here.  Do a big jump to the
left where  a Neanderthal had jumped at you before, and get up on a ledge.
Continue right  to pick up a big piece of meat.  Go back right.   Do a big jump
to get an egg with a bone upgrade in it, the one on the bottom has a bone
upgrade too.    Continue right and jump over to the next ledge.  Here there is
a baby t-rex and some Neanderthals may try to jump you.   You can take care of
them fairly easily, especially if you have the wheel.  Do a big jump to the
right and find two cavemen with rocks.   Stay on the bottom and avoid them
both.   Then stay on the middle ledge and do a big jump to the other side.
Here there will be some rocks over some spikes.  Jump on the rocks and then try
to jump again and land on the safe parts of this platform.  It's somewhat
difficult but can be done.  Then jump up on another ledge.  To the right is one
difficult jump if you don't want to lose any life.  You have to jump right down
the middle.  Continue right and avoid the jumping cavemen (or kill them) and do
away with any other Neanderthals in your way.  If you kill the rolling
Neanderthals they will give you some meat so I suggest killing there is a brown
egg below the rolling Neanderthal platform and inside there is a fire upgrade,
you can get to it by going up on the platform and jumping down.    I prefer to
stay up on that platform and then drop down when the platform ends.  DO NOT
take out the two Neanderthals  on the ground.  Jump on their heads and take the
one up above them.  Continue to the right for another boss fight

Boss fight 6:
Description: A wooly mammoth-esque dinosaur.
Life bars: 10
Strategy:
This is a pretty simple boss fight if you know what you're doing and if you
have fire.  Stay to the left for the beginning part of the battle.  When he
charges throw your weapons, when he throws rocks destroy or avoid them.   You
do not have to wait for him to charge to throw your weapons, you can do  a
small jump to the right to and throw your weapon and then head back to the left
so you won't get impaled, and you will do some damage.  About half way through
the battle there his tusks will snap off.   This prevents him from impaling
you, but opens up a new attack for him (he can now stomp on the ground causing
boulders to fall from the sky.  While he is doing this attack do not be afraid
to avoid the boulders and get in his face with fire, because he is extremely
vulnerable at this point   At this point in the battle you can duck under him
when he charges at you.    When he has 2-3 life bars left, part of his face
will disappear.   Just do what you've been doing for the rest of the battle and
he will fall to the ground

GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
you now have no choice but to proceed to the next level, unless you want to go
back and play a level, that is

Level 7:
Start off by jumping up the ramps.  Watch out for rolling rocks and
Neanderthals.  As you head up keep avoiding them and you'll get to a platform
with two Neanderthals, and a guy with a big rock.  Do away with them and avoid
the humongous rock and keep heading up.  You'll eventually reach the end of
this extremely short level and you will be forced to fight another boss.

Boss Fight 7:
Description: Red-Flying Pterodactyl
Life Bars: 10
This one isn't too hard.  He'll start off by flying down, just throw your
weapon at him.  Then he'll start flying back and forth.  He'll either fly
across the bottom where you can still throw your weapon at him, or he'll fly at
a moderate height where you can throw weapons at him and then duck.  His health
will drop rapidly if you are using fire or the stone wheel (fire is especially
effective).

GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
back at the main map you have three choices of where to go.   Two are bonus
levels (one has a continue point) and the path to the next level (also contains
a continue point).  The bonus level with the continue point will be referred to
as locked level number 3, and the other, locked level number 4.

Locked Level 3:
T this level you have a choice of one of four eggs.   They all contain power
ups, there  is a one up in the 2nd to the top one.

Locked Level 4:
Okay this is a locked level that requires you to fight. Kill all the enemies
here and you even get a kiss and a
GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT
You're health will be fully recharged.
Now head towards level 8

Level 8:
head to the right (of course), and break open the brown egg.  If you haven't
gotten it already, you'll see the wheel upgrade.  Woohoo! Kill the caveman and
the pterodactyls and jump over the fire.   Next there will be a series of rock
ledges that go up and down.  This series it is probably best to go one at a
time for these things.   This is because one ledge goes down as the one to the
right of it goes up.   Make your way across here and get rid of the two
Neanderthals and the green pterodactyl.  Continue to the right and you will see
some lowered ground.  When you see this, get ready because a gigantic rock will
slide down the hill up ahead.  Destroy it or jump up it.   At the top of the
hill there is a fire with a large piece of meat in it.    Do a big jump and
land it so that you brush by the meat and don't hit the fire.  Even if you
happen to hit the fire, you will still have a net gain of life.   There will be
another big rock, which splits into two if you kill it, jump over it or destroy
it and head up again.  There will be a bunch of insanely small dinosaurs.   Do
away with them and then crack open the red egg.  A pink pterodactyl will carry
you off to a bonus level.

If you got the pink pterodactyl:
This is pretty simple, just go to the right, jump up the ledges and come back
left and get the wheel if you need it.  Then hop back up the ledges and go
right and get the key.

If you didn't get the pink pterodactyl or after you beat the secret level:
Head right and kill the yellow pterodactyls.  There is a piece of meat in the
fire to the left of them.  Continue up the hill to another series of rock
pillars.   Jump from pillar to pillar and when you get to the last one make
sure you stay on it until you get the one up.  Right when you get it do a big
jump to the right so you do not die. Once you head to the right a boss fight
will trigger.

Boss Fight 8.:
Description: T-rex head with a very long neck made up of big gray circular
objects
Life bars: 10

Fight this guy the same way you would the boss in level 5
Stay under his face and throw your weapons upwards.  You can basically hit him
in the face/chin every time.  The only time you will ever face the chance of
getting hit is when he lowers his neck, but just slide out of the way.    If
you do not stand directly under his face,  he will spit out Neanderthals at
you,  which are easily avoided, but still much harder than just sitting under
him and tossing your weapons at his face.  You can also stand close to his
right and you will have  a lot of success just throwing your weapons at him.
This shouldn't be too hard, but he does have a LOT of life.

GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
You only have one choice here, and that is to go to the next level.

Level 9:
There is a  red egg  right at the beginning of this level.  Below is a tiny red
dinosaur, which will probably kill itself.   Up ahead are some platforms and a
green pterodactyl.  Hop across these until you get to a small t-rex spawning
point.   Kill it and the rolling Neanderthals and continue jumping across the
platforms on the bottom (watch out for those pillars of fire! You can't step on
them as you would the water pillars.).   Up ahead are some ledges laid out like
stairs, which rolling cave men come down on.   Kill them and get a medium sized
piece of meat for each one.   Continue across and either take your chances by
riding on the purple pterodactyl's back or do a big jump over the pillar of
fire.   Do that again and you will reach a platform over two brown eggs.  These
eggs have little green pterodactyls in them.  Don't break them open unless you
want to fight them.    At the end of the platform is a Neanderthal in a
helicopter.  Take him out and jump down on to the platforms and continue right.
Keep jumping over the platforms and the fire pillars, and kill the lone
Neanderthal that drops a small piece of meat on two platforms.  There will be
yet another Neanderthal in a helicopter and  a small platform below him.   Take
him out and jump down.  Continue right and take out some more rolling
Neanderthals.  Keep right and eventually you will fight another boss.

Boss fight 9
Description: Red Hedgehog-esque dinosaur with spikes on  his back
Life Bars: 5
One of the easier bosses in the game.  Wait for him to roll around the middle
rock.    And  avoid him at all costs.  When he gets out of his ball, and stands
up, hit him with the strongest thing you have (fire works wonders).   When he
flies off the screen get to a side.  HE will slam down in the middle. He will
start jumping high or low (if low he will roll).  If he goes high, roll under
him, if he goes low , roll under him.   Even at low life his strategy is the
exact same.  Just use fire and it will take around 1 life bar for every hit.
Pretty simple.  Eventually he'll fall of the screen.

GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now if you have a  key head upwards, and straight into the fifth locked level.

Locked Level 5:
This one is lame.  You fight one small t-rex and get a
GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT.
And your life bar will refill... great....

On to the next level!
Head downwards and to the right too the next red square.
Level 10:
Head right and deal with a rolling Neanderthal and a green small t-rex.   Try
to stay under things in this level, because as you will notice there is
lightning.  Keep heading right and crack open the red egg, and kill a flying
pterodactyl with a rock (the Neanderthal that was next to the egg jumps off the
platform and dies usually).   Keep going right and do away with two more
Neanderthals.    Here there is the option of going on the upper or lower level.
Head for the upper level and then drop right away so the big rock doesn't hit
you.   Take the three small pieces of meat.  Once the rock falls big jump back
to the left and across the top row.  Take the large piece of meat here and kill
the Neanderthal.   Now kill everything to the right, and jump down on to a
brown platform.  This is one of the more difficult plat forming parts of the
game.  I try to avoid getting on the purple pterodactyl because I feel as if I
have less control, so do what you want.   Doing  a large jump will definitely
aid you in this.   I like to kill the purple pterodactyls as they get in the
way of jumping.   After jumping across all the platforms jump on solid ground
again.  Dodge the two rocks that are thrown by Neanderthals and then jump on
the head of the Neanderthal walking towards you.   Do a big jump off of his
head and on to the platform above to get a large piece of meat.  If you
accidentally kill him you can also use the small t-rex that comes right after
the Neanderthal.  Keep going right and you will have to fight yet another boss

Boss  Fight 10
Description: Skeleton of a dinosaur
Life Bars: 10
Strategy:
Watch out this one is somewhat difficult.   Throw either the stone or the fire
at his skull and it will do damage.  But be careful every once and while when
you do enough damage his head will fall off causing a blizzard of his neck
bones to crash down on you.   Not very convenient.   Occasionally just his head
will fall.   It will chomp after you, just jump over it.  His head will fall
for the last time and you will complete the level.

GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at the main map you have the choice of going to either a bonus level
(similar to the locked levels), to the next level, or through a locked gate.
All that's behind the locked gate is a continue spot.

Bonus level:
This is very similar to the first locked level.  Just get the meat the drops
down.

When the time comes that you think you are ready, go ahead into the "final
level"

Level 11:
Start off by killing the Pterodactyl, jumping over the fire and collecting all
of the weapons in the game (very convenient!).  There will be yet another small
t-rex that comes at you, kill it and head to the right.  Jump on the yellow
pterodactyls back and get the large piece of meat above.   Then kill it and the
Neanderthal for some points.   Go to the right and kill 3 more Neanderthals and
gaze at the piece of meat between two fires.   Hop up on the platform, and drop
down from directly above the large piece of meat.   Then jump back up and
continue right.  Jump across these platforms (I usually don't even bother with
the flying pterodactyls because their rocks are too dangerous to avoid when
trying to jump over all of the platforms).  These platforms start out pretty
fat, but eventually they  became pretty skinny so time and aim your jumps
right.

Continue to the right and avoid the large boulder.  Now continue right and
stare at the large pit of lava and prepare for a very difficult sequence.  Hop
on a purple pterodactyl's back and then make a big jump off of his back and try
to land it on another one.  Continue across the entire pit like this only
taking a break if you need to at one of the pieces of ground sticking up.  It's
really not that hard because the purple pterodactyls usually conveniently
appear under your feet. Continue right, kill two Neanderthals, and you'll fight
the "final" boss.

Boss Fight 11
Description:  The exact same model as the dinosaur in boss fight 8, just
orange.
Life bars: 10
Strategy:
He has a lot of health, but he is basically the exact same as before, except he
alternates spitting out either a Neanderthal or a rock.    Just use your fire
or the stone wheel,  because I know you have it.    Try going back and forth
and noticing his patterns, what he does exactly before he drops his head closer
to him or far away so that you know where to go when you fight him.  Eventually
he will drop after a long fight.

GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT!

And then Joe runs into the mouth of the dinosaur, for the real final level.

Final level (12):
At first throw your wheel at the guy in the vehicle, and continue right over
the ledge coming out of the floor.  Kill the rolling Neanderthal for a medium
piece of meat.  If you are worried that you don't know what Is coming around
each corner, throw two wheels at once and just let them roll, they will take
out some bad guys making this level a lot easier.  Eventually if you keep going
right you will get to a point where Neanderthals drop from the top of the
screen run to the right as fast as you can so that they don't fall on you.  If
there is one in front of you take it out.  Continue right and you'll see a
wheel upgrade if you somehow didn't pick it up in the last level.   Head right
and kill the two Neanderthals.  Continue right and kill a few rolling
Neanderthals who drop medium sized meat.   You can just roll the wheel if you
want, and take them out very quickly.  Head right and avoid the gigantic
falling rock.   You'll  see a heart pounding, and the final boss fight will
start, wink wink.

Boss fight 12
Description: A miniature devil with the trident and all...
Strategy:
Form 1
The first thing he does is drop two heads of the carnivorous plant that you
fought in one of the first levels down.  They die pretty easily if you just
throw a few wheels at them.  Try to aim it right so that the two you throw stun
them both
When those two die, he'll drop another two.  If you ever get stuck between one
of their mouths and the side of the screen, remember that you can jump on their
heads and not get hurt.
He'll drop another two, just keep throwing those wheels.
After the final batch of those, he shows himself again.   Switch to fire...
He'll fly back and forth for the first little bit, and you can hit him with
fire.  Eventually he clones himself and makes a Mac clone for you to fight.
Throw stuff at it BEFORE it turns into Mac, and it should go down very quickly.
Switch back to fire.
He also will come down to your level and fly back and forth try to stab you
with his trident.  You can still hit him.   Just run to the opposite side from
the one that he is coming from and throw fire at him.   Another one of his
moves is that he will stab the air causing rocks to come down from the top of
the screen.  These aren't too hard to avoid, and when you have avoided them
throw more fire at him.  A trick with that is also, to just stay under him
because the rocks NEVER fall on him.
Eventually he'll drop and you'll get a kiss and a
GREAT! YOU'VE DONE IT!
But you haven't done it yet

Form 2
Well he really didn't change forms, just colors, so this should be round 2, but
whatever.    The first thing he does is split into four and become purple.   In
this form he starts off by throwing fire.  All he does is from left to right so
just avoid it.  He'll also throw a little fire circle at you.  Just do a big
jump over it.   In addition, he pukes out a bunch of fire, which when it lands
on the ground explodes like your fire does.  He sometimes emits 5 circles of
fire. You don't really have to worry about the 2nd two if you just stay to the
right for the first three and then run under him after.  It takes a while but
eventually he falls.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
After devil falls you get to see the extremely goofy credits. Woohoo.

VII. Boss Guide
Joe and Mac is about half plat forming and half bosses.  All off the ways to
beat bosses that I have spoken about in  the FAQ are also here so people that
don't feel like reading through the entire FAQ to find what they want in the
guide can just look through here.

Just keep throwing fire or boomerangs at him and he
will fall very easily.

Boss Fight 4
Description: Series of "ill tempered" Jurassic dolphins
Life bars: 10
Strategy:
There isn't much strategy to this I don't think.  Just use the boomerang, and
just keep throwing and make sure that you avoid them jumping up.  Try to time
your jumps so that they don't hit you while you are in the air.  Don't be
discouraged by the plethora of life bars this boss has.  It ends pretty
quickly, but this boss is one of the hardest in the game, without a doubt.
Eventually he'll fall

Boss Fight 7:
Description: Red-Flying Pterodactyl
Life Bars: 10
This one isn't too hard.  He'll start off by flying down; just throw your
weapon at him.  Then he'll start flying back and forth.  He'll either fly
across the bottom where you can still throw your weapon at him, or he'll fly at
a moderate height where you can throw weapons at him and then duck.  His health
will drop rapidly if you are using fire or the stone wheel (fire is especially
effective).

If
you do not stand directly under his face, he will spit out Neanderthals at you,
which are easily avoided, but still much harder than just sitting under him and
tossing your weapons at his face.  You can also stand close to his right and
you will have a lot of success just throwing your weapons at him.   This
shouldn't be too hard, but he does have a LOT of life.

If he goes high, roll under
him, if he goes low, roll under him.   Even at low life his strategy is the
exact same.  Just use fire and it will take around 1 life bar for every hit.
Pretty simple.  Eventually he'll fall of the screen.

Boss Fight 10
Description: Skeleton of a dinosaur
Life Bars: 10
Strategy:
Watch out this one is somewhat difficult.   Throw either the stone or the fire
at his skull and it will do damage.  But be careful every once and while when

bones to crash down on you.   Not very convenient.   Occasionally just his head

orange.
