updates:

version .1 - started putting it together.  added: howto section, items, stats,
location, equipped items, money, changing characters, and month,
            date, and year.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

things you will need:

       hex workshop
       inindo rom
       emulator (preferably zsnes)
       inindo .srm file

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

how to edit

first thing you need to do is open up hex workshop.  once it is loaded up,
open up your inindo .srm file.  what you see in front of your face is what is
called hexidecimal code.  this is where the information for the saved game is
stored.  now you will need to go to the next sections of this faq to find the
offsets (location in file) and the 2 digit combination for the desired effect.
now just take the 2 digit combination (found in front of the desired effect)
and replace the 2 digits that are already in place in your .srm file.  edit
all of the locations you desire.  once everything is plugged into the .srm
file, you will need to do a checksum on the saved game.  to do this, highlight
all of the info from offset 0 to 3863 (dec.) or F17 (hex.).  now click on the
checksum button up at the top (it has a checkmark on it).  a new window will
pop up.  click on "Checksum (16 bit)" and "Selection".  now press the generate
button at the bottom of that window.  the result will be put in the bottom
right frame in hex workshop.  now, for the weird part.  you are going to put
that result into the .srm file, but you are going to put it in backwards (look
below for an example).  the result goes into the offset 3864 (dec.) or F18
(hex.) to 3865 (dec.) or F19 (hex.).  now just save your file, and everything
should work just fine, if not, go back and try again.

8A and on are dummy items?  i tried a lot of them, but the most i got out of
them was one popped up a menu and went "tick, tick".  others act like
they are items, but i just got "no effect".  if anybody gets ANY
effects out of them then please email me the results you get.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

location on map (very partial)

somewhere between offset 6 (dec.) or 6 (hex.) to offset 25 (dec.) or 19
(hex.).  if anyone figures this out, please email me the information.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

stats

character 1:

201 (dec.) or C9 (hex.)  resist

202 (dec.) or CA (hex.)  power

tateoka
from 1622 (dec.) or 656 (hex.) to 1642 (dec.) or 66A (hex.)

gou ikuma
from 1302 (dec.) or 516 (hex.) to 1342 (dec.) or 53E (hex.)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

money

from offset 27 (dec.) or 1B (hex.) to 28 (dec.) or 1C (hex.)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

changing characters

offset 29 (dec.) or 1D (hex.) is the number of people in your party.  if you
are going to just use one person in your party, set it to 01.  if you are
going to use two people, then put in 02.  you can set this up to 03, any more
and the game goes nuts.

-=note=-
whenever i played a game where i hadn't gotten any other characters yet, it
would mess up when i would try to put more characters into the game.  but if i
had already gotten other characters in the game, it would work bug free.
