This a move list for the SNES game "Hokuto no Ken 6".  This was the first Fist
of the North Star fighting game in the series. Fist one through to 5 were
action platformers or RPGs and most of them were either really poor or never
got released to the west. Fist of the North Star 6 isn't that great a game to
be honest but as a fan, I decided to write an FAQ for it  It's a fighting game
that may seem confusing at first but when you learn to use the gauges and how
to pull off secret techniques it gets really easy.

Ok, this FAQ is copyright to David Wilson, November 2004. It can only be
hosted on www.gamefaqs.com and www.honestgamers.com and if any other site
hosts it without my permission then you are breaking the law.  If you find
this guide on any other site then please e-mail me at [email protected].
Also, if you have things you would like to add to the FAQ, information that
needs correcting etc. then please e-mail me and I'll make the changes, and add
you to the credits list.

Fist of the North Star  is set in a world, devastated by nuclear war. The seas
have dried up, the land is dry and only a remnant of mankind survived.  It
follows the story of Kenshiro as he searches for his long lost love Yuria, who
has been kidnapped by Ken's former best friend, Shin. Ken is a master of
Hokuto Shinken, a deadly martial art that uses superficial blows on the
outside of the body to cause massive damage on the inside. With all of the
secrets of Hokuto Shinken, Ken can use his fists to rip a mans body to pieces,
to cure most internal injuries and use a fighting style that is the most
devastating on earth.

Ken travels the barren wasteland with his friends, Bat and Lin as he looks for
Shin.  Ken goes on many adventures including him and Shin fighting to the end,
destroying an entire army, fighting bizarre wolf-men hybrids and finally
facing off with his older brother Raoh, another master of Hokuto Shinken who
has used his powers to rule the destroyed world with an iron fist.

(ii) Fighting Styles

There are numerous fighting styles covered in this game, they are

Hokuto Shinken: This is a 2000 year old fighting style that uses the 708
pressure points on the human body. It can do various things, touching one
point may cure blindness, help a mute person speak or make someone in a
wheelchair walk. On the other hand it uses pressure points to destroy the
opponent from within. A man who uses Hokuto Shinken can use 100% of his body's
potential instead of the average 30% and is only allowed one true successor.
Usually, the previous master trains his sons on the basics of Hokuto Shinken
and then picks one to be the master. Only the master is allowed to use Hokuto
Shinken and all brothers who have failed to use the art have their memories
erased or their fists destroyed.

Nanto Seiken: There are 108 styles of Nanto Seiken and unlike Hokuto, it
focuses on destroying bodies from the outside, using stabbing or slicing
movements. Nanto moves can slice people in half, cut them to bits and general
rip people apart from the outside. There are five masters of Nanto Seiken, two
of which appear in this game and each fighter is a member a group known as the
Nanto Roku Sei. The members are:

Shin:            Nanto Koshu Ken   (Nanto lone Eagle Fist)
Rei:             Nanto Suichoken   (Nanto Waterbird fist)
Yuda:            Nanto Kokaku Ken  (South Dipper flamingo fist)
Shuu:            Nanto Hakuro Ken  (South Dipper white heron fist)
Souther:         Nanto Hoo Ken     (South Dipper Phoenix fist)

                                                       (4)

(i) Kenshiro

Fighting style: Hokuto Shinken

Kenshiro is the heir of Hokuto Shinken, the only ray of hope in the desolate
world and perhaps the strongest man alive. Kenshiro is the main character of
Fist of the North Star and is probably the best fighter in the entire series.
Since he has knowledge of the innermost secrets of Hokuto Shinken, Ken has
hundreds of techniques he can use on others which allow him to heal almost
anything from a sprained muscle to blindness. His Hokuto Shinken uses
superficial blows on the pressure points outside of the body which can easily
rip the human body apart from the inside.

Ken has seven scars on his chest which where put onto him by Shin, his former
best friend. Shin kidnapped Ken's fiancee Yuria and left Kenshiro for dead in
the wasteland.  Ken soon recovered and started his search for Shin and Yuria
which was where the story begun.

As a fighter, Kenshiro is probably one of the best here. His attacks are
strong, he has a great jump and is quite fast. The best technique I recommend
to use the Hundred Crack Fist of the North Star move while behind the opponent
because it does a great deal of damage. If it's blocked it can leave Kenshiro
open to be hit so use it behind the opponents as often as you can. His two
special moves are great and are very effective, one is fast set of moves that
do a lot of damage and one is a set of multiple projectiles that forms the
shape of the big dipper.   Charging up the aura to the Yellow level is best
way to go with Ken because he performs the Muso Tensei attack which is great
for two reasons: firstly, it allows Kenshiro to become invincible and perform
stronger attacks. Unfortunately, the aura bar doesn't go up when you perform
this move.

Hyakuretsu Ken:  Charge R button for two seconds and release

This move is the most famous move of Hokuto no Ken: The Hundred Crack Fist of
the North Star. Here Kenshiro let's his fists fly through the air, hitting the
opponent countless times and after this he let's loose a piston powered punch
which serves as the finisher of the combo. Unfortunately, if you perfrom this
move it does not kill the opponent but it does a good deal of damage.  If you
use it when you are behind the opponent then the you'll do more damage because
they won't be able to block you.  However if you use it and miss then it can
leave Ken open for attacks from the behind so try not to use it all of the
time. It is a decent move though and it serves as a good finisher because it
looks pretty nifty.

Tenha Kassatsu: Press L button when Aura Gauge reaches green.

This is Kenshiro's projectile attack and can be quite effective although it
does have a flaw. Basically, a powered up Kenshiro punches seven balls of
energy forward. The seven balls are placed together to form the shape of the
Big Dipper constellation, the symbol of Hokuto Shinken. If it connects the
move is quite good but most enemies seem to jump over it with ease so if you
plan to use the move you'll have to cathc the opponent off guard with it. Try
doing it on opponents who are performing  a combo from far away or on
opponents falling from a jump. It can be a waste of time if the oppoent is
dodging it every time you attack.

Musou Tensei: L button when Aura Gauge reaches yellow.

This move can only be used if the fighter truly understands sadness and love.
Kenshiro and Raoh are the only men who could do this in the series. Both of
them loved Yuria and when Yuria died of radiation poisoning, Raoh learned the
technique but Kne had already mastered and used it as the key attack in his
artillery when he came to fight Raoh again. This move is one of Ken's best
manouvres in the game. His body goes purple and his attacks are a lot stronger
and faster so you can do an amazing deal of damage on opponents with this
move. There are downsides to it though as the move doesn't work on Kaioh, so
you'll have to use a different strategy when you face him and the other
downside is that your aura gauge will not increase with your attacks if you
use this move.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------
(ii) Raoh

Fighting style: Hokuto Shinken

Raoh is the oldest of the four Hokuto brothers and one of the strongest men in
the world. After Ryuuken announced that Kenshiro was the successor, Raoh was
filled with jealously and rage, he wanted only two things, to have the power
of a god and rule the world. Since the world was so desolate and broken Raoh
had no trouble taking over it, after this he changed his name to "Ken-Oh"
which means Fist King. He killed Ryuuken shortly after Ken's succession
because Ryuuken attempted to stop Raoh from using Hokuto Shinken, but due to
Ryuuken's failing heart, Raoh killed him with ease. Then, Raoh built up a huge
army whose top generals included his younger Hokuto brother Jagi and the
deranged impersonator Amiba. Raoh and Ken were destined to fight each other
because they were both Hokuto Masters and Kenshiro had to defeat Raoh in order
to gain succession.

Raoh is not related to Kenshiro by blood but he is the real older brother of
Toki and the younger brother of Kaioh. He came from the east and was
originally a student of Hokuto Ryuuken, the evil version of Hokuto Shinken.
After his former master when mad due to the evil ways of the art, Raoh and
Toki left this land and were both adopted by Ryuken and trained in Hokuto
Shinken.

As a fighter, Raoh is great. His attacks are like Ken's except that they are
more powerful and slower. He has his own version of the Hundred Crack fist in
which he uses his aura to attack the opponent. He can also throw fast and
strong projectiles that do reasonable damage. He is powerful but his moves
take longer to charge  and his immense height stops him from crouching, if
another projectile move from Kaioh or Rei was fire at him then you would have
to perfectly time your jump in order to avoid it. Most of moves are extremely
strong but you'll find yourself away from the opponent, charging you aura so
he can pull off the big moves.

Touki Aura: Charge R button for two seconds and release.

This a pretty good projectile attack and Raoh uses his aura to release a fist
shaped projectile out to hit the opponent. It goes at good speed and does an
average amount of damage. For aura charging it's great and can be used quite
frequently. The speed that it goes at his brilliant, making it hard for
opponents to leap over or to duck under.  If you are against Kaioh, the move
is great because it's hard for Kaioh to dodge it. (Although Kaioh can use a
similar move). On the whole, it's a great projectile attack.

Hokuto Goushou ha: Press L button after Aura gauge reaches green.

This move is a perfect mix of the Touki Aura and the Hundred Crack fist of the
North Star. It does a huge amount of damage on the opponent and can be pulled
off after a few Touki Auras. Raoh lets his fists fly like Kenshiro but he also
fires out Touki projectiles as well. Unlike the other aura move, the
projectiles do not go all the way across the screen but they go a little way
out in front of Raoh. Treat it is a Raoh's own version of the Hyakuretsu Ken
and like Ken's one, the weaknesses still apply. First of all, if you pull it
off from far away from someone with a great projectile attack then they can
easily hit you when you're doing the move as it leaves you open and the
opponent could quickly jump behind you to hit you with somethngi while you
pull that move off.

Tenshou Honretsu: L button when Aura Gauge reaches yellow.

A bizarre yet highly effective projectile attack. Raoh seems to charge himself
and release five projectiles at once at the opponent. This move is highly
powerful and take an opponent down easily. The power and damage that this move
does is incredible and next to Ken and Kaioh's finishers, it ranks almost at
the top. Raoh's finishing move seems to be a little weaker than Kaioh's but it
is still a whopper of a move that does critical damage.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------

(iii) Kaioh

Fighting style: Hokuto Ryuuken

Kaioh is the first Hokuto Ryuuken Rashou and is one of the deadliest fighters
in the world. Kaioh is the blood brothers with two of Hokuto masters, Raoh and
Toki and has a burning hatred for Kenshiro in his heart.  Kaioh's mother was
killed when she rescued baby Ken from peril, Kaioh never forgave Ken for this
and toiled inside him for years and years. His hatred was so immense that he
murdered his own sister and framed Ken with the killing.  Ken's brother, Hyou
was in love with Kaioh's sister and he turned against Ken when he thought he
killed her.

Kaioh is a direct ancestor to the founder of Hokuto Ryuuken and is full of
evil energy due to his mastership of the martial art.  When he fought Ken, he
revealed that Kenshiro's Musou Tensei technique didn't work on him. This is
mainly because of the enhanced armour he wears which defended him agianst
Ken's attacks.   He was beaten by Ken eventually and after the fight he
committed suicide by jumping into molten lava.

Kaioh is like an advanced version of Raoh, his attacks and movement are
similar but he is stronger and has a massive advantage agianst Kenshiro.  Ken
cannot use the Musou Tensei on Kaioh but Kaioh has no trouble pummeling him.
His moves are the same as Raoh but they pack more punch. His aura attack
throws a fireball which goes at a great speed, the damage is very high. He
also performs a move like the Hundred Crack Fist which does an impressive
amount of damage. He also has an amazing projectile attack that is like
Raoh's, except it is stronger and faster.

Matouki Aura: Charge R button for 2 seconds

A handy projectile attack that works in an almost identical way as Raoh's
Touki Aura. Kaioh uses his aura to release a fist shaped fireball projectile
which goes at high speed across the screen. It is stronger than Raoh's by a
little bit although the difference is small. This move is great to use on
poorly charged characters and those who use little projectile attacks like Ken
and Heart. Also, it has great use on Raoh because he cannot duck but Raoh has
a similar move so be careful. If it's used wisely it can cut off charging
attacks and other projectiles.

Seishou Danretsu:  L button after Aura gauge reaches green.

This is the Hokuto Ryuuken version of the Hundred Crack fist. It is stronger
than the other two versions and does way more damage than Ken and Raoh's one.
It blends the Matouki Aura and the Hyakuretsu Ken into one powerful move. that
sends an array of punches out at the opponent. It's a close range attack and
like the others it can be countered from behind or by a projectile attack. If
it does connect it does incredible damage to the opponent but it can lead you
to defeat. Use it carefully and wisely.

Anyruu Ten Ha: L button when Aura gauge reaches yellow

This is an amazing attack, quite possibly the strongest attack in the game.
Kaioh releases his aura energy and fires a handful of fireball projectiles at
his opponent. The attack is so swift and striking that it seems to damage
enemies in less than a second and the damage it does is fantastic.  It works
as a perfect finisher or a momentum shifter due the amount of damage it takes
off. It can be blocked though so the damage will be reduced but other than
that it is very hard to avoid. It comes in two waves so even if  the opponent
manages to dodge one attack he will get hit on the second wave.

(iv)  Souther

Fighting style: Nanto Seiken/ Nanto Hoo Ken (South Star Phoenix Dipper fist)

Souther is a cruel dictator and the strongest member of the Nanto Roku
Seiken.  He was abandoned as a baby and was soon adopted by a man named Ogai,
who was the master of Nanto Hoo Ken,  Ogai raised him and trained him in the
art of Nanto Seiken and Souther bloomed under Ogai's training.  Unfortunately,
dark days were ahead of Souther as in a training accident Souther accidently
killed Ogai. With his dying breath, Ogai told Souther that the whole principle
of Nanto Hoo Ken was that the young were to wipe out the old.

Souther was full of sadness and decided to give up the feeling of love as it
gave him great pain. When Souther became an adult he declared himself the Holy
Emperor and ruled his area with startling force. He stole children from their
homes and made them build a pyramid as a monument to his dead master. Shuu,
another member of the Nanto Roku Seiken created a resistance army to stop him
and eventually managed to get Kenshiro to fight Souther. Souther has a deadly
secret in his body which makes Hokuto Shinken seemingly useless on him.  When
he was born is heart was on the opposite side of his body, reversing all
pressure points. Eventually, Ken managed to overcome Souther and dispose of
his evil ways.

Souther isn't the best fighter in the game for a number of reasons. Firstly,
he has no aura to charge up so he cannot pull of any good projectile attacks
so in order to raise the aura gauge you must use physical punchs and other
attacks which take up a lot of time. If you are up against a character with a
great amount of projectile attacks then you are screwed with Souther. Luckily,
he cannot be damaged by basic punches and kicks from other fighters so it
gives a little advantage to get his power up faster.

Kyokusei Juuji Ken: L button when aura gauge reaches green.

This attack is a projectile that has very poor range and power. It goes almost
inches off Souther's chest before disappearing so in order to make it connect
you have to be up close and personal with the foe. The damage it does is
nothing special and it can be easily blocked or avoided. It takes a while to
build your gauge up to do this move but it's best to just leave it and pull
off Souther's other move instead.

Tenshou Juuji Hou:   L button when aura gauge reaches yellow.

This is an awkward but powerful move by Souther where he flies up like a
Phoenix and charges into the opponent. It looks great and the damage it does
is spectacular.  It may seem a little odd at first but when it connects you'll
be smiling because the damage that this move is almost as strong as Kaioh's
Anyruu Ten Ha. It can be blocked if you are hit by a projectile but normal
moves are victims to the Phoenix Dipper Fist.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------

(v) Falco

Fighting style: Gento no Ken

Falco devoted his life to training Gento no Ken. W      hen Raoh had the world
in his fists he attacked Falco's village. Falco gave his own leg to Raoh to
stop him from destroying his village and used a prosthetic leg afterwards. He
was told by Jakou, a man he grew up with when they where children to eliminate
the fighters of Hokuto and Nanto. He attacked Kenshiro, who uses his Hokuto
Shinken to disable one of his legs to make the fight equal. After this the two
decided to team up to bring the emperor Jakou down and helped save Ken's
friend Lyn from Jakou's son. He was killed by the Shura.

Falco is a pretty cheap character to use as all of his moves are fully
projectile attacks. He can repeatedly pull off his Messatu Dan quickly and
charge up his gauge almost instantly, allowing him to pull off his more
powerful moves to end the fight.  His two special moves are absoloutely
devastating and take almost a quarter of the opponents health off in one hit.
He is the ideal beginner character and easily one of the most powerful in this
game.

Messatsu Dan: Charge R button for 2 seconds

This move is a great projectile attack to use as it is easy to charge up and
does sufficient damage. It can be pulled off  quickly and easily. It's best to
use it on non projectile characters that cannot get close to you easily, like
Heart, Souther and possibly, Kenshiro at a stretch. This move also travels at
a great speed therefore it is hard for the opponent to dodge it. If one is
having problems with Kaioh or Raoh then pummeling them with the Messatsu Dan
is the key way to crush them, they can't duck it and they are too slow and
heavy to leave over it.  Kuroyasha is too small for it though, so use
alternate tactics for him.

Gento Hakuka Dan: Press L button when Aura gauge reaches green

Oh my GOD! This move is absolutley amazing, it looks cool and it's as powerful
as hell.  Falco does the same movement as before but he fires out a countless
number of Messatsu Dan like projectiles. It takes off a huge chunk of the
opponents health and it is quite easy to charge up. This is Falco's greatest
move out of the lot as it as fast, furious and f'ing easy to pull off and to
charge.  This move serves as the ultimate quick finishing move and works well
on big foes with little projectile attacks.

Shou no Rin: L button when aura guage reaches yellow.

Another class act by Falco! On this occasion he fires out two golden wheels
that spiral up and down towards the foe. The projectiles travel at a fast rate
and move up and down giving the opponent a harder chance to avoid them. This
move is quite easy to charge up due to the rate that Falco can raise his aura
gauge very quickly.  This move takes off a huge amount of damage and usually
finishes opponents off. Use it as often as you can because it can nail the
opponent quickly and easily.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------

(vi) Rei

Fighting style: Nanto Seiken/Suichoken (South Star Water Bird fist)

Rei is also a member of the Nanto Roku Seiken and has mastered the art of
Nanto Suichoken.  He was originally a bandit, roaming the land looking for a
man with seven scars. This man had murdered his parents and has also sold his
sister into slavery.  When Rei and Ken met each other they worked together to
wipe out the Fang clan, a group of thugs who plundered the land and tried to
break into the village of Mamiya.  When Ken saved Rei's sister from the Fang
clan and cured her blindness, Rei wanted to repay his debt to Ken by killing
Raoh, a choice that ended his life.

Rei was easily defeated by Raoh and was had a pressure point pressed on his
body which gave him only three days to live. In those three days he hunted
down a man named Yuda, who had betrayed his Nanto Seiken school and had also
killed the parents of Mamiya.

Rei is an amazing character to use and he is easy to grasp.  He has one extra
move that normal which is easy to perform and all of his other moves are very
powerful and quick to pull off.  One push of a button and Rei will throw a
fireball, a quick charge will make him emit an even stronger one. His
movements are sleek and fast, allowing him to charge up his aura gauge quickly
to pull off stronger moves. His Nanto moves are fast striking and multiple
movements such as Ken's hundred crack fist.  He has a fantastic mix of
projectiles and fast-paced  punches. A perfectly balanced character for
experts and beginners.

Shinkuu Ha: B button

This attack is weak but it is very fast and it's easy to perform.  It doesn't
do a lot of damage and it has a very poor range, but it can used quickly and
easily. If you are against Kaioh or Raoh then it can be of some use as they
cannot crouch to avoid it. Also it is a great attack to use when you hae to
fight Souther because it can effect him instantly while Rei's other attacks
cannot. It isn't amazingly powerful as it is just a simple attack. We can't
make everything in life easy.

Great Shinkuu Ha: Charge R button for two seconds

Unlike the Shinkuu ha, this move goes across the whole screen and does a lot
more damage than normal. It does a decent amount of damage and can be pulled
of repeatedly to build up the aura gauge a lot quicker.  Like the Shinkuu ha
it is an arc shaped projectile that cannot be easilt dodged by the likes of
Raoh and Kaioh.  Against other enemies it is highly effective and can be used
to chip away the health of the opponent from far away.  It moves very fast and
can hit slower opponents. However if it is dodged be someone more agile then
it can leave Rei open for a second, this barely ever happens but it's
something that should be considered.

Nanto Koharyuu: Press L button when Aura gauge reaches green.

This rapid and continous attack is one of the most effective moves in the
game. Rei lashes out with countless strikes to the enemy. It's like a Nanto
version of the Hundred crack fist but more devastating.  The amount of damage
it does is amazing, it moves so fast that you hardly see Rei move. It takes
over a quarter off the opponents health in one shot, which makes it one of the
most powerful moves in the game. It has to be pulled off when the enemy is
close to the opponent because if you miss it then it can leave Rei open for a
while, allowing to get hit by a projectiles. Getting hit by Ken's Tenha
Kassatsu is very annoying when Rei is standing away doing this so time it
right, doing so may choose the outcome of the fight quicker than normal.

Sukazu Tenshou: L button when Aura gauge reaches yellow.

Similar to the Nanto Koharyuu but stronger and less open. Rei leaps up in the
air, with a waterbird aura around him. He then proceeds to let loose an
arsenal of Nanto strikes in the air, aiming down to the face of the opponent.
It does a great deal of damage and it cannot be countered easily. The damage
it does is a little more than the Nanto Koharyuu and it barely leaves Rei
open, like the last move.  This move is the most devastating finishing move in
the game and with Rei's easy charging techniques, you'll be slaying opponents
with Rei in under a minute. However, this move doesn't work on Raoh.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------

(vii) Heart

Fighting style: Unknown

Heart was one of Shin's generals, a huge fat man who possessed a deadly secret
fighting skill. His flesh was rubbery and elastic so no one could actually
attack him properly. Ken's Hokuto Shinken was seemingly useless at first
becase Hearts thick flesh was covering all of his pressure points. Out of the
four generals Heart didn't seem like that bad a man, he was seeminhly merciful
towards some of the innocent people of Southern Cross,  However, when Heart
sees his own blood he snaps from a gentle giant to a homicidal madman who
cannot control himself until he kills someone.

Shin used Heart as his last defence against Ken as he thought that Kenshiro
couldn't kill Heart due to his special flesh structure.  However, Heart proved
no match for Ken and the Hokuto master used one of his special technigues to
destroy Heart easily.

Heart is one of the poorer characters to use. His attacks are slow and he
cannot charge his gauge to release attacks. His gauge needs to charged up bit
by bit so he may take a while to develope his potential. He can use his odd
flesh composition to hit opponents and also throw his whole body weight
against foes. He can also perform a body splash move that is easy to pull off
although it isn't too strong. He is an expert only character as beginners may
enjoy playing with Rei or Raoh.

Hara Kougeki: B button

Heart uses his flab to hit his opponent. He presses it together and it pops
out, hitting the opponent. It's an average attack that does a small range of
damage. It is quite slow though so if you're against a quick opponent such as
Rei then I wouldn't recommend using it on him.  In fact, only use when you are
up close to the enemy but make sure that they cannot pull off any multiple hit
moves when you are trying to pull off this one.  It can hot an opponent who is
a short distance away but doesn't reach that far. It can be quite handy for
breaking up a fast moving combination, like the Hundred Crack fisit.

Jumping body press:  Up and B or Y

This is move where Heart jumps up and body splashes his opponent.
Surprisingly, the damage it does is quite low and I thought that a giant fat
man landing on top of you would take a lot of health off but no.  However, it
can prevent characters from finishing off multi hit attacks but apart from
that the damage it does is below average.

Heart Dogou Geki: Press L button when aura gauge reaches green

Heart does have a few good moves, this one is quite a strong attack although
it can be easily blocked or jumped over.  Heart simply charges into his
opponent and knocks them down. However, this version of the move is okay but
not as powerful as what you may think. It's a great move to use but it takes a
while to charge and if the foe leaps over you then it's just a waste.

Great Heart Dogou Geki: Press L button when aura reaches yellow

Pretty much the same as the last move except that Heart moves a lot faster and
will do more damage if it connects.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------

(ix)    Kuroyasha

Fighting style:  Hokuto Ryuuken

Kuroyasha is a successor of the Hokuto Ryuuken school but unlike the three
other masters of the art, he managed to contol the art and use it for the good
of man. He is allied with Kenshiro and uses claws to slash through his
opponents.

Kuroyasha isn't amazing, he has no charging move and he is quite short. On the
other hand he is quite fast and his moves are reasonably strong.  Since he is
short, a lot of projectile attacks simply pass over him and he can quickly
dodge attacks by pulling off a backflip and leaping out of harms way.   At
first, Kuroyasha may seem rubbish and beginners may be better off just
sticking with Raoh or Rei, but when you master the moves of Kuroyasha, he can
be devastating. His claw attacks are rapid and strong and his finishing move
is amazing and unusual.

Back Flip: Press R button

Obviously, this move does no damage to the opponent as it's a defensive move.
Kuroyasha does a backflip in the air and moves away from his opponent. It's
handy if you need to back off from an opponent who is mauling you and it can
give you time to oragnise your attacks by giving you some time to regroup your
thoughts, but that's it. It can be useful to use for defensive action but it
doesn't do much else.

Hokuto Yuugeki Ko: L button when aura gauge reaches green.

This is a good move and does a reasonable amount of damage. Kuroyasha throws
both of his clawed gloves at the opponent, they attack and like a boomerang
they come and move onto his hands. The damage is great and since the move is
so fast paced, it's very hard for foes to avoid it, escpecially if you pull
the move off when you are close up to the opponent. If the oppoent jumps over
the attack then the chances are that when the gloves return they will hit the
opponent. The damage is fairly strong but it's worth just charging the aura
gauge to build up his final move.

Yuushou Sei Bu: L button when aura gauge reaches yellow.

This move is quite possibly the greatest move in the game for two reasons: one
it cannot be blocked at all, not by Kaioh, Raoh or Kenshiro. Also it hits on
four occasions and each attack takes a great chunk of vitality off. It is hard
to raise his aura gauge up to that level but when you do, the wrath of
