Hi, This is a Walkthrough/FAQ for the SFC RPG GranHistora by Banpresto/
GranHistoria Project. I use some Japanese Encoding in this, so if you wish
to view I reccommend that you get a program like NJStar Communicator or
MView. Here is the URL <

When you get to the title screen just press any button and you should
come to a screen that looks like this:

When you choose to start a new game you immediately will be taken to the
opening scene. If you choose to continue you will then be allowed to choose
the game from which you want to contiune. After you do that a message will
come up:

In GranHistoria you have a lot more options on your status screen than you
normally would. When you bring it up this is what it should look like:

Now here is what all those do:
-Status
This tells you about your characters. The screen looks like this:

All this should be self-explanatory, so I will move on.

When you use this you will get another menu.

When you choose the first two you will be taken to a menu that shows
all the items that you have. In the bottom right corner there will
be a box that shows what the items does. If you clicked on [Use] then
when you click on an items you will be asked who you want to use the
item on. If you clicked [Throw Away] when you click on the item you
will be asked if you want to throw it away. The Bottom answer is No,
Top answer if Yes.
-Formation
I will write this later.
-Memory Sphere
This will allow you to save the game. Here is what it looks like.

If you choose Save, then you will be allowed to choose which slot you
want to save, then will be asked if you want to save. Again Top is Yes,
Bottom is No. Load is exactly the samething.
-Abilities
This will show you all of your characters abilities.
-Equip
This allows you to equip/de-equip your characters. When you first
select it you will be taken to a screen like this:

If you want to de-equip somthing, then just select the item, then
choose the bottom option. When you want to equip somthing just select
it and choose the top option.
-World Chronicle
This gives a ton of info(so much in fact that I gave it it's own
section). This will give you two choices [History] and [Characters].
History is the top, Characters is the bottom.
-BGM
This will allow you to sound the games sound. It can either be Mono(the
top choice) or Stereo(the bottom).

solve some problems and add some problems. I have just put down all the

Now here is all the characters that you can find on the status screen.
Just so you know, I listed the characters from Top Left to Bottom Right.

Gainastar[ガイナスター]:
From the West Castle in Asashina's West Region. He is the Leader
of the Evil Street Thieves.

Tand[タンド]:
The Top Subordinate to Gainastar, and can use the G God Power. He is
a staff officer in the Evil Street Thieves.

Asashinea The VI[アサシネア6世]:
He suffers from being sick. He is the current King of Asashina.

Queen Lemunu[レムヌ妃]:
The Wife of Asahinea the VI and the mother of Prince Coonon.
When she came to the Kingdom she was a very expensive bride.
She was orginally from the Kingdom of Juzalia.

Prince Coonon[クノン王子]:
Son of Asashinea The VI. For being from a Royal Family, He
doesn't seem to have any Leadership qualities.

Pladdock[パラドック]:
The Brother of Asahinea the VI. And as such he has the typical
attiude of royalty. He is afraid of Women, and is a very timid
person.

Kaiser[カイザー]:
He is Asashinea The VI ONLY Royal Counseler and is an Official in the
Kingdom. He has ambitions to be much more.

Xenobia[ゼノビア]:
A Woman, and the 2nd In-command of The Order of The Royal Knight's.
When her orders are not followed she gets very violent.

McKeeny[ミケーネ]:
The Commander of The Order of The Royal Knight's. He is a very Honest
and Trustworthy Man. He has complete trust in all his Knights.

Great Priest Mijua[大神官ミジュア]:
The King's Priest who runs Za God's Temple and is a priest of Za
God. All people on Asashina look up to him.

Priest Rodey[神官ローディ]:
He has Mijua complete trust. He is an advisor at Za God's Temple.

Priest Lizara[神官リザーラ]:
The Female Advisor at the Temple of Za God at Dolluck. Mijua has given
the advisor the important task of protecting the Temple from the
Oppresion. She always seems to have a few special powers up her sleves.

Saman[サマン]:
This Mysterious Woman is a thief. She always is moving around a lot.

Ibusuki[イブスキ]:
Currently the King of Asashina has banned him from living in the Kingdom.
So he now lives on the Outskirst, but his current whereabouts are
unknowen.

Fall[ファル]:
She is living with Ibusuki outside of Asashinea's control. She is
Ibusuki's Younger Sister. She really cares for her Older Brother.

Princess Donea[ドネア姫]:
The Princess of Gramania. She is currently searching for her brother, who
has dissappeared.

Rivolgun[リボルガン]:
The King of Juzalia and and important figure in Manamigal. He is the
brother of Queen Lemunu.

Backlayer[バーキュレア]:
Willing to fight a battle anywhere at anytime, she is a female soilder.
She is a leader of the Manamigal's King's Corps and will lend her power
to it's cause.

Calia[カーリア]:
Leader of the Order of the Knights in Manamigal. He has a foundness for
Queen Julias.

Julias[エリーュス]
Living the West Castle, She is the Queen of Manamigal. She currently runs

2.5)Battles
-----------
The Battle System in this game is fairly unique. When you get into battles
you can be attacked on 4 sides at once. That is what that little Circle in
the middle is. You will see a White dot on the circle when there is an Enemy
there. Now there are also two levels(Earth and Sky). In order to hit a Sky
Enemy you will need to move you aim up. Anyways here is what the screen looks
like.

Here is what all the choices do:
-Attack:This will cause you to use a Physical attack against Enemies. You
will have to choose the enemy and the level of which you want to
attack.
-Skill:This will allow you character to use any Skill that they may have.
-Item:This lets you use an item that you have in your inventory.
-Run:This will make your characters run. You can't run when a monster
blocks your way.
or
-Defend:The Character will shield themselves and take less damage.

4)Walkthrough
=============
*There currently isn't much of a walkthrough. It will maybe take your
through 3-4 hours of gameplay.
Here is a complete walkthrough of the game. I've included the story for
those of you whose Japanese isn't that great. The only times I do complete
translations is at the opening and ending scenes of the game. Also I did
this opening scene fairly quickly, so there are probably a few errors in
it.

4.1)Opening Scene

[Scene opens up with two people standing by a Grave.]
Toll:Father, I wish you were here tommorow to attend my Wedding.
Lu:Well Toll, I'm going to go set up for our wedding. I just want everything
to be perfect.
Lu:Toll, My Uncle and Two Others are going to go help setup.
Toll:Lu, At first I wanted to get out of this but, Now I don't.
Lu:Okay Toll, You hurry home and get some sleep and I will see you tomorrow.
[Lu will now walk off the screen]
Toll:Father, I'm now ready to give my heart to Lu, Please watch over us.
[Toll will then turn around]
Toll:Well...Time to go.
[Toll walks a little forward then find's somthing on the ground]
Toll:What it this?
Toll:This is the Crest of Ge God!
[Toll looks around]
Toll:Why would the Tailsman of Za God be here...
[The screen will now shake]
Tand:The Ge God...Gave Us that Power, That Guy has our Power.
[Toll's Body will now flash]
Toll:What? I can't move my body!
[Three men will now walk on the screen]
Thief:It's Here! The Tailsman of the Ge God !
Tand:Hmm...We finally collected it!
Tand:Take care of that Man.
[Tand then walks off the screen]
Thief:Don't think were bad. We are from the Evil Street Thieves and we have
a mission. And we are looking for these things.
Thief:The Ge God's Tailsman, look at our greatness. Now Your Dead!
[Second Thief rushes forward]
Toll:Uahh...
[Toll starts blinking]
Toll:I must...Lu...
[Toll walks to the bottom of the screen]
Toll:Lu...Happiness...You'll Never...
Toll:Lu...
[Toll then dies]
Thief:We Really have it! We have The Crest of Ge God!
Thief:Sorry about that.
Thief:Come on, We have somthing important to do tomorrow.
[The Thieves will then leave, After a while Toll's Body will start to
levitate. Then A Red and Blue Sphere will float down.]
World Sphere:This Man's Name is Toll. He was to be married tomorrow. Then
some Thieves killed him. He should be our Carrier. And then
when the Thieves attack tomorrow at his Wedding, we can protect
him.
Red Jewel:Ok Then.
World Sphere:At the Marriage Ceremony The Town Za Priest should be there, but
we need to talk to him.
World Sphere:Well, In the Name of the World then let's do this, but what
should call us.
[The Sphere's will then become one and enter Toll's Body. After this is
done you will be asked to name the characters.]
World Sphere:Toll, You've been given a gift for 20 Years. You will need to do
things to same the World.
[You now have control of Toll. You need to head to the bottom right and
enter the town. When you walk in a scene takes place.]
Lu:What's Wrong Toll? Where Were you.
Toll:That doesn't matter, Where where you Lu?
Lu:Are you trying to be funny Toll?
Toll:I...I'm Sorry. Anyway Lu, Where can I find the Priest's House?
Lu:You can find the Priest's House to the Right of the Temple, But why do you
want to talk to the Priest. What's Wrong Toll? Are you tired?
Toll:It's...It's Nothing Lu, Thanks. You should go home and get some sleep
tonight.
Lu:Really? Well, I guess I will go sleep.
[Lu will start to walk away.]
Lu:You get some sleep tonight too!
[Lu will walk into her house. You will then see the History of what
will happen. "The Evil Street Thieves will break into the Temple".]
Toll:Toll looks like hes going to married. That Mysterious Woman...Well lets
go get some sleep.
[Well, Now your free to explorer Elia. However you can't really do
anything, so just head to the priests house and talk to him.]
Priest of Za God:What Wrong Toll, what did you do this time...Are you
Tired?
Toll:Priest, I have something I need to talk with you about.
Priest of Za God:You don't need to worry, The Great God of Za will protect
you. Now hurry and go get some sleep.
[Now you need to head to your house. It is the house on the bottom level
of the town at the top right. When you enter a scene will take place.]
Toll:Well...I might as well get some sleep.
[Toll will then hop in bed and the scene will fade out.]
World Sphere:Time to goto the Wedding. Remember your History, Your life is
in Danger.
[The Scene will now fade back in.]
Toll:I still need to talk to the Priest.
[Now head back to the Priest's House.]
Priest of Za God:Oh Toll, I didn't see you. Do you happen to have the flowers
for the bride.
Toll:Priest, This...Marriage Ceremony...
Priest of Za God:What's that look on your face? This is a Great day for the
God of Za. Lu! Come on out.
Townsman:Well Lu! It's time to visit the Priest and Toll.
Lu:Yes...
[Lu will walk out.]
Lu:Okay Toll, You look like your feeling a little better...Are you nervous
too?
Toll:Your Beautiful...Your Face radiates Beauty.
Preist of Za God:Toll! What are you waiting for? Let's start the Marriage
Ceremony.
[The Scene will then shift to the Temple.]
Lu's Mother:Lu, You look Great.
Lu's Father:Toll, Your face looks happy.
Townsman:Good Luck!!
[The Priest will walk forward.]
Priest of Za God:Let's Start the Marriage Ceremony.
Priest of Za God:Now that Everyone is Here! Lets Pray to Za God!
Townsman:The Evil Street Thieves!
[The Thieves will then come up and take out all of the Townsman.]
Townsman:The Evil Street Thieves!
Thief:Shut Up!
Priest of Za God:Wha...What do you want!?
[Gainastar and Tand walk up to Toll.]
Thief:We are the Evil Street Thieves. There is somthing in this temple we
need.
Gainastar:Speak Up, Your Not Frozen? Hey, Tand...What's Wrong?
Tand:Lord Gainastar! This temple seems to be protect by the body of God.
[The screen will then show the church and the come back down.]
Gainastar:So that's the Power of Za God, I wasn't expecting that...Okay, I
got it! We will destroy it!! We can get rid of Za God's power for
an Eternity!
Tand:Oh, That's a Great Idea!
[Toll the goes to the thief.]
Toll:What are you Doing? Get out of Here!!

Strategy:This will be your first battle. You can't really lose this one, so
take a little time to get comfortable with the battle system. Just
use physical attacks and the battle will be over in 4 rounds max.
Tand:Shit! You Bastard!
[Tand will walk over to Lu.]
Lu:Gyaa!
Toll:Lu!!
[Tand will start to walk away with Lu.]
Tand:Quit or we will Kill the Girl.
Gainastar:Do what he says! Drop the Weapon!
Toll:Okay, Okay, Let the Girl Go!
[You will see Toll Drop the Weapon.]
Gainastar:Die!
Toll:Aaghh!!
[Gainastar will then kill Toll.]
Lu:Toll...Toll!!
Priest of Za God:Oh Toll...What did you do...!
[Tand then walks over.]
Gainastar:Tand, Is somthing Wrong?
Tand:Yes, That Man...I thought I killed him yesterday...
Gainastar:What does that mean?
[The screen will fade out again.]
World Sphere:Toll
Toll:Huh!? Am I dead?
World Sphere:Toll, You died from the hands of the Thiefs.
Toll:...
World Sphere:You must Choose History to prevent the destruction of The
Kingdom of Asashina.
Toll:I must choose the future...
World Sphere:You must Rewrite History to prevent the Destruction of the
World.
[The Screen will fade back in, and you will be in the past.]
Lu:You Hurry home and get some sleep.
World Sphere:This time we will meet them where they are.
Toll:What's That...A Dragon?
World Sphere:It can travel through time. Well...Let's start our journey to
change history.
[The Screen will then fade to black. And you will wake up in a forest.]
Toll:Where is this?
World Sphere:It is the Forest of Thieves.
Toll:Wasn't Elia Village Attacked?
World Sphere:You were killed by them, but before they can launch their
attack, we are going to stop the Evil Street Thieves.
Toll:Before they attack...
World Sphere:The Thieves have a Hide-out deep inside the forest.
[You now have control of Toll.]

4.2)The Forest of Thieves
-------------------------
Treasures:Holare Feather, 50 Nell, 40 Nell, 20 Nell, Earth Medicine,
Enemies:Forest-Half, Forest-Kelon, Forest-Ju,
Before I start anything I recommend that you gain to at least 3 or 4 in
terms of levels. It isn't that hard, but if you want to be safe I would do
it.
Anyways from where you start head down the first ramp and then take a
right. Walk around those trees and you eventually reach a little Waterfall
and if you search that red thing next to the Waterfall you will find a
Holare Feather. Now head back to where you started and this time go all the
way down and the take a left. You will the find yourself near 4 treasure
chests. Then continue to the left. When you start up the ramp a scene will
take place.
Toll will notice someone is comming and jumps behind some bushes. Two
Thieves then appear. One of the thieves will discuss how funny it will be
when they attack. Then a third thief will come out. He will discuss how this
is job is important. Toll recognizes them as The Evil Street Thieves. World
Sphere tells you that this is just after they killed you. Toll then gets very
mad and attacks the Thieves.

Strategy:This battle is like the first battle, Only you have to deal with
3 Thieves instead of 2. All in all a very simple battle.
After you win the battle you will here Tand's voice. He will laugh saying
it was stupid for you to come here. Toll's is supprised. Tand then says that
he has the Power of the Ge God. Tand then freezes you in place like before.
And Toll notices this. Tand will say that you look familiar, and will then
recognize that he killed you before. Gainastar will ask what he's talking
about. He then says that he killed you before. Gainastar will laugh and say
Toll is nothing. Tand then warns Gainastar. Gainastar makes starts annoying
Toll, but then Toll can move his body. Gainastar will tell everyone to get
back to the hide-out. An Underling will ask why they aren't going on to
attack Elia Village. Gainastar says it isn't the right time, he want's Toll
to come to the Hide-Out for a little fun.
By doing this you are able to change 2 History Items. World Sphere will
say that you prevented the attack on Elia Village. When you are ready head
to the left.

4.3)The Thieves Hide-Out

Treasures:
As soon as you enter the Thieves Hide-Out a scene takes place. You will
walk up to Tand and Gainastar in front of a Giant Statue. Gainastar will
ask what you name is. Toll the replies. Gainastar then says that he is the
Leader of the Evil Street Thieves. Toll asks them why they wanted to attak
Elia Village. Gainastart will then say that the reason he wanted to attack
the Village is the the Za God Priest has something he wanted. Gainastar
will then recognize you from the Ceremony. Toll will wonder about the
Ceremony. Tand then asks for Power from Ge God to defeat you. The Screen
the dims and Toll wonder what's going on. The Statues will say that your
Time has come and that you need to learn your power. You then gain your
first ablitiy. Toll asks if the statue is talking. Gainastar will then say
that Ge God protected you during the ceremony. Tand then says you must be
somthing special, since you didn't die during the Ceremony. Tand then says
the Ceremony is over, That you are now a Evil Street Thief. The Subordinate
asks if they are going to attack Elia now. Gainastar then comes up with a
differnt idea and ask Toll to come with him. He then walks away. Tand is
mad with you being accepted, and then shoves you out of the way when he
leaves. However with this the History is now changing. Anyways your free
to explorer the Thieves Hide-Out.
You can finally start shopping. Here is what you can get:

When your ready, Head into the house in the top left. When you talk to
Gainastar he has a few task for you. Go talk to the Cook. After you talk to
the Cook head back and talk to Gainastar. He will then ask you to talk to
the Lookout. Just head to the exit and talk to the right guard, he will leave
and a new man will come up. He will tell you about what the King is planing.
Head back to Gainastar and he will ask you to find more info. Do the same
process over again and you will hear about Rabel Mountain. Anyways go back
to Gainastar again and this time he says you should get some sleep. So head
to the Inn. When you get in there Toll has trouble deciding what bed to
use. The Attendent says it doesn't matter, just hurry up. When you wake up
head back to Gainastar. This time he will ask you to goto the weapons store
and get some supplies. You will get a Automatic Gun, Leather Shield,
and Earth Medicine. Anyways head back to Gainastar for the last time. When
you go in, they say that the King has left the Ribal Gold Mine unguarded.
So leave and then you will find yourself on the World Map. You don't
really have any choice as where to go, so just head straight to the cave.

4.4)The Mountain Pass

Now, Here is where I took a little while to gain up to Lv.10, I don't
know if you need to be that high, but this next part was much easier.
Anyways, Just follow the path(there really is only one path to take.
After you past the Waterfall you see Gainastar, Tand, and a couple of
Thieves. Go up and talk to Gainastar. He will be supprised to see you, and
ask what your doing here. Gainastar will tell Tand to use the Ge God's
Power. Tand agrees and then asks for the Power of Ge God. The screen will
then shake. You will then be told to go.
You will now be on the screen with a train. A Thief will tell you that
this is the train that the Army use. Gainastar will be happy, but then he
notices. McKeeny shows up and indentifies you as the Evil Street Thieves.
Tand then notices The Order of the Kings Knights. Tand then blams Toll for
selling them out. McKenny will then bring out a Giant Robot.
Gainastar says that in order to beat the it they will need Toll's help.
World Sphere says that you have to change History here. So you need to
decide. This is a Major Choice in the game. I have currently only helped
Gainastar. However I will keep a Save Game just before this to see what
happens. Anyways this is what happens if you help Gainastar.

Strategy:Well...This is where being at least at Lv.9 helps. Earth Shout
will level these guys. You will probably have to heal. I didn't
have too much problems with these. So I think it is all in having
Earth Shout.
After you beat the Knights McKenny will send the Machine after you.
However Gainastar joins your party to help you. You will then get to fight
the Sleep Walker.

Strategy:This is the first real boss in the game. But it isn't very hard.
Just use physical attack's. You can tell when you get close to
killing it because the machine will slowly break apart. Besides
you have Gainastar and he is very strong.
After the battle you will see the Sleep Walker blow up. Gainastar will
taunt McKeeny and his Knights. McKenny says he will never let you win.
Gainastar says that he will attack the Kingdom. Toll will then tell McKeeny
that he needs to take care of Prince Coonon. Gainastar will ask what Toll
is saying, and that you should go. The World Sphere will say that you need
to head North East. So Walk to the North-East.

4.5)The Kings Castle
--------------------
When you approach, Gainastar will say that this is the Kings Castle and
that the people here are very faithful to Za God. The World Sphere tells
you that the attack on the Kings Castle is happening. You will then be
asked if you wish to follow Gainastar. Toll will then say that you need
to save the castle from destruction. Gainastar says that Za God protects
this world and there is nothing to worry about. When Gainastar walks up
the Guard stops him. Gainastar talks his way out of it by saying that
he is the Son of Asashinea the VI. The Guard buys that and lets you
pass. Gainastar then asks why they are not letting anyone pass. The Guard
says that a group of thieves attack the Order of the Knights. Gainastar
will the tell Toll to come with him. The Screen will then get black. Toll
asks what that Giant Thing is. Gainastar says it looks like a ship in
the sky. Guard will comment about how he was finally able to see it. Toll
asks what it was. The Guard says that it's a flying passenger ship. The
screen then gets light again. Gainastar then says that it's time to go.
Your now free to explorer. So here is what you can get at the shops.
