PART 1: INTRODUCTION
-----------------------------------
~*****~

Version History:

Version 1.00 - Basic layout of the FAQ, includes a full start to
finish walkthrough of the game as well as a usable character list and a
spell list for the usable characters.

What's to come - Items, weapons, monsters and the odd typo/grammer
fix.

~*****~

Dual Orb 2 is a turn based RPG game that is similar to the Breath
of Fire series.
It runs around 20 hours of game play if you mainly just try and make
your way through the game.  If you take your time, explore and do
everything you can, the game time will obviously increase.

There are balancing problems here and there throughout the game,
mostly at the beginning.  Sometimes the monsters hit too hard or not
hard enough.  Usually, if you take your time and make sure you level up
and train before you head out, you shouldn't have too much difficulty.

I am playing this game in ROM format because I cannot get it
otherwise.  I will not supply anyone with this ROM or information
regarding how to find it.  It's out there, so just keep looking.

Also, I am writing this FAQ as I go along playing it and will make
the necessary changes and modifications that I need to if I supplied
incorrect information.  Which brings me to my next point, if you have
any information regarding the game that is important enough for me to
include in my FAQ, contributions are accepted and you will be noted as
the giver of that information.  So, on that note, do not expect to find
every single treasure or item possible by reading this FAQ, however, I
am giving you a full walkthrough from start to finish with details on
how to get every treasure that I can find.  More information on the
game will be added when it is known to me.

PART 2: LEGAL CRAP
-------------------------------

This FAQ is copyright 2003 Ryan Allen and cannot be used on any
site other than www.GameFAQs.com without my permission.  This
permission can be obtained from me via e-mail and I am lenient and will
most likely let you use it as long as you don't claim it as your own,
so just ask.

PART 3: WALKTHROUGH
-------------------------------------

*******
NOTE:::
I will provide the things you need to do to accomplish the game, if and
when you feel you need to stay somewhere to get stronger or wish to
explore on your own, without the use of this guide, please feel free to
do so.  However, I will list the treasure you can locate in the towns
and/or dungeons in this walkthrough.  If there are places I did not
mention in this walkthrough, it is most likely because it is not
necessarily important in finishing the game, so if a place catches your
eye that I did not mention, go and check it out.  But, like I said, I
will list the treasure you can get if there is any to get in the
towns/dungeons.
*******

You first take control of the game through the character Aleth.  He is
a boy that was given to the High Priest by a group of dubbed "divine
messengers".
You're out in the forest with your friend hunting a rabbit creature.
After chasing the curious rabbit down, you get sidetracked by your
friend Langus and find some sort of wing.  Lagnus wants it a secret,
just between you two, so keep it one! To seal the promise, you decide
to build a secret fort between you two. Aww, how sweet.

With the fort made, you and Lagnus go inside to celebrate and cheer to
the building of the fort and your friendship!
Now, to get things warmed up, Langus offers to start some sword
training with you since he has just recently ditched his private tutor.
Go back into the fort and open the two chests to get a Stick and Cloth
and as well as an Herb.  Don't forget to equip them!  Now, head outside
and talk to Lagnus.  After he starts a fight with you, just keep
attacking him with your big bad stick until he beats you down.

After all this is said and done, you seen some mysterious characters
plotting something on the kingdom of Garade.  After the cutscene,
Lagnus tells us that he does not wish to become the next King of
Garade, but to become a valiant knight instead.
However, it is getting late so you two wish to make your way to the
castle. Simply walk to the right and head down, you will be in a screen
with only one path to go, so it'd be a good idea to take that path.
Halfway down you will run into some bandits, eek.  They wanna fight but
you don't get the chance to once they drop some nets on you. But what's
this?  Someone has come to your aid and freed you, time to get the
bandits! Cassius sure does possess some strength, well now that the
fight is over and you gained a level and learned yourself some new
spells, time to head to the castle.  A guard informs you that the king
is looking for you, so it would be a good idea to go and see him.
There are shops and other places of interest, but we can get to those
later on.  Simply head north from where you are to reach the castle and
you will be guided by the Minister to the King.
The King sure isn't happy with Lagnus and dismisses you both.  Lagnus
one way, you another. It seems the Kingdom Cassius comes from is in
some hard times and seeks some help, Garade is too small of a Kingdom
to provide military assistance, but Cassius believes with the
excavation of the technology in the nearby ruins, that would be able to
help.

And after all the talking, you're on your way to Saleth.  Search the
castle at your leisure, there isn't much to be gained for now, however.
If you feel the need to have more herbs with you, you can visit the
item shop in town and pick up a few, but once you're ready to head out,
leave town by heading south.

Now that you have your party assembled and are on the world map, feel
free to explore a little and get used to the fighting.  Also, if you
are the one to train up plenty before heading anywhere else, feel free
to save up gold for a long sword or leather armor that can be purchased
in town for 500 gold.  But when you are feeling ready, head north and
you will reach Saleth quite quickly.

Once you enter Saleth,  head east on your starting position inbetween
the trees until you reach the end and you'll find a Panacea there, they
come in handy. Head north and into the temple.  Cassius informs you
that he must do something first and leaves you two to explore the
temple a bit.  Head north to found out that the door is locked.  Head
down a bit and to your right is a room where you can save if you need
to.
Leave the temple and head to the beginning of town and just to the left
of you will be the tavern, go inside and talk to the Drunk, he's to
your right.  Say "No" to his question and then tell him you want to
hear his story.  He'll give you the key to the locked door in the
temple, so get ready and head to the door in the temple. Make your way
down the stairs and head into the cave.

This cave is a little tough at first, so don't feel bad if you need to
flee from some battles.
This cave is quite linear, so just press on through.  Finally, half ay
through the cave or so, you'll find a Spear +1 in a chest.  Time to hit
some damage finally.  With this weapon, you'll be able to do the fights
*a lot* easier.  I advise you to use this new weapon to gain some
levels and collect money, the boss up ahead is not very nice.  By the
way, remember that save point and that water pool at the entrance of
the cave?  Well the water will heal you full HP/MP, so use that to gain
levels if you need to.  Once you feel ready, make sure you've recently
saved and head north from the Spear +1 and make your way into the blue
structure.  Get ready for the Green Guardian!

Boss: Green Guardian

He doesn't do anything special really, just hits pretty hard, but if
you are a decent level and have decent equipment, you should be fine.
Also, at this point you should have two or more panacea, which can
revive your party members, don't forget about these when fighting
the boss.  Just use Aleth for Light Heal (Unless you have a Sword for
him and can do some decent damage) and have Lagnus attack.  Green
Guardian might heal once or twice, but you should be able to drop him
fairly easily.  Once you do beat him, your health and magic points will
be restored, so don't be afraid to give it all you got.
After you beat the Green Guardian, you will have a door to the north of
you open, go there.
The Green Crystal Aleth took seemed to have released the hold on the
imprisoned Goddess.
After she collapses, you will be instructed to take her outside the
cave, so do just that.
Once you get back to the temple, the priests are waiting for you and
inform you that you have violated the sacred grounds and will have to
go and see the Abbot.  After the discussion with the Abbot, you are
escorted to the guest room for some rest.  Once you wake up, talk to
Lagnus.  He tells you to go and speak with some priests.
Leave the room and talk to the priests including the Abbot then return
back to the guest room with Lagnus to see Cassius there, during the
discussion you are told of a rumour of a foreign army advancing towards
Garade!  You must head there immediately after you speak with the
Abbot.
Well, feel free to buy some new equipment and power up your existing
weapons now that you have some money.  Also, it would be wise to level
up Cassius and Serra a few levels, they're going to need it in some of
the fights up ahead.

Once you arrive in Garade, you'll notice that a lot of the men have
been taken away because of them resisting, including the shop owners.
Head up to the castle.  Going through the entrance would be too
dangerous, so Lagnus leads the party to an alternate route.
Once inside, you have two options, upstairs or downstairs.  Head
upstairs and confront Prof. Hardwick.  You end up being thrown in he
dungeon, but while you are in there, the High Priest
uses his magic to speak to you and informs you of the situation at the
castle and what you must do.  Flee.  The High Priest's last wish is for
Aleth, Cassius and Lagnus to escape Garade.
Make your way out of the jail until you are interrupted by some violent
interrogation, it's the King!  Time to fight some of the soldiers now,
they can be tough if your party members aren't leveled up and your
equipment hasn't been powered up.  Lullaby that Cassius can use is
helpful as well.

Once you beat up the soldiers, head up and to the right going up the
stairs.  Go up this next set of stairs.  Go up the red carpet and the
room on the right of you has a save point in it, if you feel the need
to save your progress.  After that, head up some more and check out the
Tapestry (flag, banner, etc.) at the end of the hall... well, time for
some more soldiers!

After you kill the soldiers and are behind the tapestry continue your
way on through.  This tunnel is quite linear so you shouldn't need
directions.  However, once you do get an option of where to go, head to
the top right door to go to the Black Dragon Ruins.  Head to the bottom
left door to get some good ol' treasure.  In the room you'll find a
Long Sword +2 (Good for those who didn't buy one when they had the
chance... like me *sniffle*) a Herb and a Panacea.  Time to
head back to the Black Dragon Ruins.

Once inside, you'll see a save point.  They didn't put that there for
nothing, make sure to save before heading on in.  Head on into the next
room, grab the Herb in the chest and continue on to the next room.  In
this room, you'll see that there's a mighty fork in the road.  The left
path takes you to a chest which has a Selacon (deals electricity damage
on a target) while the middle path leads you to an Iron Spear +7 (!)
and the path on the right takes you to where you have to go next, so
head there after you get both treasure.  You'll get to another room
where you can go either way, head down and grab the treasure chest for
a Dragoon +0.  As of now, it's weaker than your Iron Spear +7, but only
by 16, which is two upgrades.  So the Dragoon has the potential to be a
lot stronger once you can power it up.  Once you head down a bit, take
the path to the right.  Continue down this tunnel into the other room.
Make your way through this room and grab the Surcoat in the treasure
chest.  It's up to you who you give it to, but it's recommended to give
it to the party member in the front, since he/she gets hit most often.
Continue on and through the other room until you reach a familiar room.
This blue stone wall can only mean one thing.  Well, continue on
through the room and when you come across the room with a save point,
make sure to save.  After that, head on up.

Hmm, seems someone has followed you... it's Professor Hardwick!
Lagnus' lust for power seems to be a little dangerous and that armor
looks kind of menacing... regardless, you are now going to fight Torath
and Lagnus has a new cool look.

Boss: Torath

There isn't much to this guy. When Lagnus' turn comes around... check
out some of his new spells.  Energy Blast will deal around 1500 damage,
so blast him with that and boost Lagnus' defense and strength with
Bless and Protect and make sure he's healed and Torath'll fall easily.
Easy 500 experience.

Lagnus will fall over after the battle and Hardwick orders his soldiers
to grab Lagnus when he is vulnerable.  Cassius gets in between them and
orders Serra, Aleth and Lagnus to head to the hole in the back of the
room.  Three soldiers rush Cassius, it doesn't look good.  But Hardwick
mentioned "he is no ordinary bard", we'll have to wait and see, won't
we?

Once you get control to move again, head out of this screen and through
the forest into the town of Tassar.  There are some stuff you can do
before heading on, visiting the armor shop, item shop, inn and the
church if you need any of the services there.  But since you need to
get to Colodus, Garade's Sister country, head south to leave the town.
This forest is a great place to get some money and experience together.
Lagnus can easily whip these guys and there is an inn and church close
by.  Anywho, fighting around for some cash might be a good idea since
this town has a Black Market.  You can get some nice stuff in this
town.  To get there, go into the tavern and talk to the guy standing
next to the door.  The Black Market has an armor shop, a weapon shop
and a large selection of items.  Buy what you need, whether it's new
weapons, more items or some new armor.  Once you're done filling up,
head to the right into the Thieves' Guild Office.

You're told by the guildmaster that Saladin might be able to help you,
and with the introduction letter, it might make it easier to acquire
some help from him.  Before you go anywhere, head to the right and
check the dresser for some Jelly Fish.  To get to Saladin's, leave the
tavern then go up and left.  It's the building beside the armor shop on
the left.  Saladin agrees to help without too much trouble, but he
wants 500 gold for his services... not too bad.  If you need
the 500 gold, head into the forest south of town and fight around for a
bit,if you already have it and are ready to leave, talk to Saladin
again.  Now that Saladin has joined your group, it's time to head into
the Thieve's forest which is south of town.  You might want to move
Saladin to the back row, he doesn't possess the defense that Lagnus
has.  Head to the right once you enter the forest and continue on until
Saladin stops you and shows you the way to Colodus.

Once you enter Colodus, visit the necessary shops that you want. (If
you're in need of experience and money and are willing to fight some
tougher enemies, head south of Colodus and fight in the desert).  When
you're ready to move on, head up and into the Castle.  You'll have some
discussion and eventually will get control of your character again,
head out of the room and up going down the stairs.  Head down and
outside of this room, then head left and go into the building, head
down the stairs and you will be in the jail.  At the bottom of the
jail, there will be a pink haired girl in the cell, talk to her and
accept her favour.  Head out of the jail and go down.
Leave the town once you are ready.

Head west from Colodus and go inside the cave.  Once inside, you have
three doors you can enter.
Take the left door to get a Long Sword -1, it is cursed however, so you
might not want to equip it unless you plan on going back to town and
getting it uncursed (which you can do at the church).  Take the middle
door now and continue through.  You'll be in a room with two ways to
go, take the left door and go straight up to get the Shell Armor in the
chest, then head to the right and go into the door.  Once again,
another room with two doors to choose from.  Take the right door
and move up onto the next room.  This room has three doors to choose
from, sensing a pattern here.
Choose the left door to grab an Iron Spear +7 and head to the middle
room for a save point.  Once you're ready, take the right door and get
ready for a boss.

Boss: Najiri
Naijiri HP - 2500

This boss won't give you too much trouble if you did a little bit of
leveling and powering up beforehand.  He stands at 2500 HP and will hit
around 200-250 to Lagnus (who should be in your front row to take all
the hits).  Attack with your fighters, use Flame with Lagnus (if you
don't have it, use next best) and use Wind Cutter with Serra and watch
this guy drop quick.  It turns out Najiri is a Gurika and he takes
Serra to the safety of the Gurika village.

After a discussion with the Chief, Najiri joins you to go and save
Shiara.  Naijiri is uncontrollable but all he will do is attack anyway.
Head outside the cave and back to Colodus.

A little quiet in here, isn't it?  Head up into the Castle and into the
main doors.  Go up and head upstairs, then head to the left.  So this
is where the party is.  Walk around everyone and go down the stairs to
the middle part of the room.  Public execution is going on for the
Gurika.  Seldam realizes he has been found out and informs you of
another secret... he was the one who guided the attack on Garade!

Boss: Seldam & Company
Seldam HP - 5000
Squad HP - 1250

This guy can be a little difficult because of the soldiers, so it'd be
wise to knock them out first.  Might be in your interest to throw a
Bless or two on your party to help them out a bit.  But Aleth will be
needed for his Half Heal spell, it comes in handy.  Flame is going
to be your best friend in taking out the soldiers, one attack on each
soldier and Flame should knock them out.  If and when Seldam uses a
spell that puts a little bubble over Lagnus' head, use Cure on him or
he's gonna start wailing on you and you don't want that, especially if
you have been powering up his weapon a lot.  Keep attacking Seldam and
make sure to knock out his squad first and you should beat him okay.

With the destruction of Seldam's staff, the control over Colodus is
free and that mysterious black robed man disappears.

After the discussion, you are told to go to the Flame Ruins which are
in the South-Western Forest.  Well, first thing is first, head to down
and buy any items or powerup any weapons before we head out.  When
you're done, leave the town.

As the name states, head Southwest from Colodus, around the mountain
and into the middle of the forest there to get to the entrance of Flame
Ruins.

Continue your way into Flame Ruins until you have a choice to go north
on a bridge or to go south, go south and grab the potion in the chest
and make your way up then head up (there's
a chest to the left, but it's empty) take the bridge on the left and
grab the Shot Gun in the chest.  Finally, head down to leave the room.
In the next room there will be a chest on the left, feel free to get
it, but it's a Spear -1 and it's cursed.  There is a lot of
treasure in this room and most of them are in view, so collect the
treasure you want and move on to the next room.  The treasure you get
in this room is - Troll's Gate
- Iron Spear (Iron Spear -1, cursed)
- Potion
- Bomb Seed

The chests on the other side you have to get by coming out on the other
side, to get there go to the top of the room and into the door.  The
tunnel here will bring you to the other side of the room, the treasure
in this room are as follows
- Chain Mail
- Soul Sabre +8
- Selacon
- Potion

Now that the treasure room is all done, go to the next room to find a
treasure chest across the bridge, in there is a Potion, grab it and
move on.  Head through the next room and you will arrive in a room with
a save point, save your game and head on.  In this room, head right
then go straight down, go left if you want a Long Sword +9, a Panacea
and a Troll's Gate, if you don't want these, just head down instead of
left.  Head through the blue stone rooms until you reach the boss.

Boss: Red Guardian
Red Guardian HP - 8000

This guy isn't too bad, just he has a lot more HP than other bosses,
his normal attacks aren't too powerful, though.  The attack you wanna
watch out for is his Energy Bullet, it can hit from 1400-1600, but a
Half Heal can cover most of that damage back.  He is also quite
resistant to magic so you're best bet is to lay on all your powerful
physical attacks and keep yourself healed.  It's all about endurance in
this match.

After you beat the Red Guardian you'll acquire the Red Gem, hurrah!
Time to head back to Colodus.  Either walk out, use a Troll's Gate or
use Exit if you have it.

Once you get to Colodus, go to the castle and speak to some people then
come back to the town and about halfway through the town a black shadow
will appear then disappear.  Once that happens, head back to Gurika
Village, don't worry, you don't have to do the cave again,
someone will be waiting for you at the entrance to the cave.

The black robed man makes a return appearance but this time in his true
form.

Boss: Gilzath
Gilzath HP - ?????

Just die.  Honestly.  This battle isn't one you can win, so don't
bother wasting items on reviving or anything.  You won't be game over
after you die since you're supposed to.

Saladin shows his moves by using some magic and he is recognized by
Gilzath.  Before Gilzath retreats, he snatches Serra with him and
disappears. The "frenzied" search begins.

Saladin will ask if he can stay with you and you want him to, so say
"No" to him not being a problem by coming with you then head to the
Tavern.

Ooh, what timing, a bard has been hired and it's no other than our good
buddy Cassius.
After you explain what has happened, Cassius wants to go speak with the
Minister, so head on to the castle and do just that.
Cassius reveals to us that he is actually a spy from Claydon, which,
after all the information he has, it makes sense.  Well, it's time to
go visit Claydon by finding it in the Darl Desert.
Leave the town once you are ready and head southeast until you find the
desert.  Walk onto the oasis looking thing and you will enter the main
part of Darl Desert.

The desert is pretty linear so just make your way through it.

Once you get into Claydon you can explore a bit and check the shops,
but whenever you are ready to move on, just head up into the door above
you.

Quite the interesting plot twist that goes on in the throne room.

Well, after that argument and a half, Aleth, Serra and Saladin are all
stuck on a mountain who knows where.  Might as well find a way down,
first off, you better save it and equip the shotgun on Serra that you
found earlier.  Enter the door just below you and continue on
through the tunnel.  Keep going and grab the Ice Knife in the treasure
chest, except, don't equip it because it's cursed and -1.  Go a little
more through the mountains to reach the town of Karole.

The bottom barrel of the two beside the Weapon shop has a Jellyfish in
it, so grab it if you want to.  The Armor shop has Ringmail, which is
slightly better than Chainmail if you want to pick that up, also the
Weaponshop has +8 Longswords and Soul Sabres as well as Blacksmiths
if you need to power up any weapons.  Make your way to the Elder's
house, which is on the right side of the armor shop just up the stairs.
In the room behind him, the dresser there has a Potion and he has some
nice goodies upstairs, so go get those.  Exit the house and head
over the eastern bridge and enter the cave.

Head up into the door above you and grab the Bomb Seed in the chest.
Go back to the previous room and go right and into the door.  Keep
heading right along the linear paths.  You'll see a chest below you
eventually, go to it and grab the Protector out of it.  Continue
through the caves.  Grab the Long Sword +8 to the left of you but take
the right path first to grab a High Potion.  Go back to the previous
room and take the left path.  Keep on heading left and you will soon
reach where you need to be.

One of Kordosa's officers is plotting something with the pirates.

Don't worry about the soldier seeing you, he won't attack you, he'll
just say that you don't look familiar and cannot let you pass.  But
that's okay, just head in the room beside him and take all the
treasure.  The Soul Sabre on the top left is a Soul Sabre +10 whereas
the Soul Sabre in the top right chest is a cursed -1, so be careful.
Leave the cave by heading to the left.  Finally, go west some and enter
the town of Trados.

You can go behind the Item and Armor shop to get to a barrel, it has a
Panacea in it.  The weapon shop has some pirate weapons, so it looks
like someone new will be joining soon, so make sure to check back at
the weapon shop if you're looking for a quick weapon for the newcomer.
Check the barrel beside the inn for a Potion.  Inside the Inn there is
a room behind the counter, go in that room and check the dresser for a
Potion.  Go upstairs and check the dresser in the first room for a
Potion, finally, leave the Inn and head left.

Check the left barrel that are just below the stairs for some Eastern
Wine.  Go down the other set of stairs to see a little fight with the
Pirates and a woman.  After the fight, you run after the Pirate who has
caputured Eliott but do not make it in time.  Karina and you decide to
help each other, therefore she joins.

She recommends you search the town and talk to townspeople to gather
information on the pirates.
The tavern is the place to go, so head on there.  Talk to the left
bartender then to the man on the ground.  Funny what a little money
will do to someone's decision.  Well, head on down to the
harbor (where you fought the pirates) if you're ready to leave.

Well, it's nice to know Saladin and Karina are getting along just fine.
After a brief chat between Aleth and Serra, the pirates show their ugly
mugs.
Well, it seems these pirates can be helpful to some extent.  Being a
pirate ship, it does have its share if some treasure on board.  Head
into the door on the right and then head left to the end of the
hallway, go down into the room and grab the Scale Mail and Panacea in
the chests.
Head up to the top of the ship and speak to the Captain.  Time for a
little puzzle, you have to push the six barrels on the white circles,
but you can only push them, so don't get yourself caught in a corner.
If you mess up, speak to the pirate and he will reset it for you.

Here is the way I did it:
    O O

    O O

    O O
Bottom Left - up
Bottom Right - up
    O O

    O O
    O O
Top Right - down
    O
      O
    O O
    O O
Middle Left - left, down, right, up, right, down
Middle Right - left, down, right, up, right, down
Top Left - down
Top Right - down
Top Right - right, down
Bottom Right - right, down
Top Right - left
Bottom Right - left
Top Left - right, down
Bottom Left - right, down
Top Left - left
Bottom Left - left

And there you have it.  When you're all done, go speak with the Sailor
and he will bring you on deck because we're right about to land.  The
Captain will invite you to his house.
Go to the house on the far left and talk to the sailor, he will say
almost all the barrels are empty... yeah, *almost*.  Head upstairs and
check the barrels on the left, one will have a nice 5000 Gold in it.
You're all done here, head down to te wharf.

Time for a little switcheroo, Bargan took Karina's spot for now.
Nothing wrong there, he's level 35, has 3600 HP and a Cutlass +15
(which we will lovingly get later).  Head up into the cave.

Go to your right and into the door here and get all the treasure in
here.  Leave the room and head up and into the door there.  After you
here the pirate yelling at the prisoner, head up and see what's going
on, talk to the pirate and fight him.  After you save Elliot, head out
the way you came in. (If you want the Cutlass +15, make sure to take it
off before you leave the cave)

Boss: Organa
Organa HP - ?????

This is another fight where you have to lose, so just let her beat you.

Bargan sounds his distress signal through a horn and the Cadmus pirates
come to your aid!
The tables have turned and Organa, the Kordosa General retreats.
After you all sail back to Cadmus after bringing back all of the beer,
they just end up dumping it all overboard.  Sounds kind of crazy until
you see a giant turtle come up and eat all the barrels and you learn
that the turtle is Cadmus and the base is built on its back.  Cadmus
drills through the Kordosa blockade and the way to Hilandia is open.

When Karina leaves to the castle, head to the right and check the
barrel closest to the water for a Selacon.  Go up the stairs and head
left.  When you're done visiting the shops that you need to, head up to
get to the castle.  Like all the other castles, just head up and up the
stairs that you need to, to get to the throne room.
After the discussionm head down the stairs to the first floor and head
left up the stairs.
Go down and into the room where the maid is in.  After your talk with
Elliot, speak to the maid and go to sleep.
We learn a little about Bargan in the next bit of how he had a daughter
and lost her at sea due to a fierce storm.  Lina had a horn and Organa
reacted oddly when Bargan blew his horn. Hmmmmm.
When you get back, you're in the throne room discussing what to do
next, they want to accompany you to Gassa to learn more about the Three
Gems and to make an alliance with them for military support due to the
fact Gassa holds strong mages.  Karina is back with you, so head out of
the castle.  Head down once you're in town to leave.

If you don't feel the need to level up, get in the floater and head
West across the river and you will see the town of Gassa right away.

Head up into the city, enter the left part, which is the library and
check the dresser near the bottom of the stairs for a Panacea.  Head
right and go down then go up the stairs.
Go in the door and you will begin talking with the Mages.
Head back to the first floor and talk to the guard, he will move out of
the way.  Head on down the stairs.  Continue through the room to enter
the Ruins of Time.

First a save point pops up, so you will want to take advantage of that
and save your game.
Head up a bit and the first chest on the right has a Potion, the second
chest has a Long Sword -1.  Keep on heading through and you'll see a
blue sparkling thing, stepping on it will recover all HP/MP, awesome.
Head through the right door and grab the Selacon and Troll's Gate in
the chests.  Head to the previous room and take the left door.  Head up
through the room.  Go left and then up, grab the Potion in the chest,
then head right.
Walk past the stairs until you see a chest, grab the Blaster inside of
it and put it on Serra.
Head left and down the stairs.  Continue through the room, grabbing the
Long Bow +12 before you head down the final set of stairs.  Continue
through the blue stone rooms and Head up the stairs grabbing the Plate
Mail and saving your game along the way.  Continue Through the next
three rooms.  On the fourth room, you can either go straight or left,
go
Straight and grab the High Potion, go to the right and grab the Guard
Talisman.  Head back To the entrance of this room and take the left
path.  Continue through the next room to reach the boss.

Boss: Blue Guardian
Blue Guardian HP - 15000

This guy is a huge knight who has a very strong melee attack of around
1500.  Good use of Aleth's Half Heal or Full Heal is going to be needed
to stay alive on this boss.  He has a lot Of HP so it will take some
time to bring him down.  The Blue Guardian is surprisingly fast Due to
his looks, so Plant Net will be good to use to slow him down.  He has
strong Magic defense so your best bet will be to keep your HP above
1600 to survive his melee Attacks and to just give him all you got with
your physical attacks.  If you feel the need to Use Bless or other
spells to increase defense and attack, feel free to do so, but they are
not Necessarily needed.  Haste is another spell that can be used.
After a good long fight, this Guy will fall and the Blue Gem will be
yours!

After learning a bit about the Orb and Serra's past, you're instructed
to go back to Marilyn In Gassa to learn more about what is to happen
next.  Leave the room and use Exit to leave the Ruins.

Once you enter Gassa, the Councilor has bad news... Kardosa has already
attacked Gassa!  Follow the Councilor and go help Marilyn.  After
heading upstairs, we see our old friend Gilzath.  Saladin once again
draws some old faint memories and you see Marilyn and her Brother back
when they were children.  Also, you learn about Gilzath and what he
did.
Gilzath takes Marilyn's brother into the void.
The screen shifts back to present day and a ball of light knocks the
void away from Marilyn.  It's Saladin.  Saladin was a mage and brother
to Marilyn all along, which is Why he found Marilyn and the statue of
Elena so familiar.  Gilzath casts magical Flames that cannot be
extinguished and just as they close in on you, the Gems awaken
Elena from the statue.  The time to knock Gilzath out of the picture is
now!

Boss: Gilzath
Gilzath HP - ?????

First of all, you will want to cast Haste on everyone, Aleth first,
because his healing will become very handy in this fight.  His spells
are strong if used on Aleth or Karina, But if used on Saladin or Serra,
it does around 1000 and 10, respectively, which is easily curable.  His
defense is lower than the Blue Guardian so you will be able to do more
damage.  Gilzath this time around is not as formidable as he was back
when you last fought him.  If you are having trouble with the damage he
is doing with his spells, equip the Guard Talisman on whoever you want
alive the most, it protects against magic a lot.  Gilzath also has an
instant death spell on one of your party members, so have revive or
Panacea ready for that.  After hitting him around 20000 HP, you will
have beaten him.

After a discussion, Marilyn invites you to her tower to tell you about
the Gems and The Orb some more.  In the mean time, let's take a rest.
Head to the right and up the Stairs and then left up the stairs.  Head
to the right, then go up into the door.  Head Left down the stairs and
then down the other set of stairs.  Talk to the innkeeper and
Take a nap.  Go back into the room where you slept in and check the
dresser for a Selacon.  Head back up the stairs and go to the right,
check the dresser for a Freeze Bomb.  Head back down the stairs and out
the door.  Visit any shops that you need To and when you are ready,
head to the top left corner and enter the tower.  If you are in the
Blacksmith shop, check the dresser for a Bomb Seed.

Once you try and enter the tower, your old friend Lagnus will appear
and speak to You.  He gives you a chance to join Professor Hardwick's
scheme.  Lagnus has been corrupted by the Evil Armor.

Enter the tower and check the dresser for an Awakening Water in the
dresser.  Head up to the third floor and talk to Marilyn.  After the
discussion, it's clear That you all must make a trip back to Garade to
have Serra and Aleth learn more about themselves which will help lead
them to the Orb.

Once in Garade, head to the castle and go inside.  Head up past the
stairs and then Head right and go up the stairs.  Enter the room with
the beds in it and talk to the Priest inside, he will tell you that the
High Priest has a message for you, but you Must climb the Eastern
Mountains in order to hear it.  He gives you a key so that you may
enter them.  Leave Garade once you are ready and head east to
Go to the mountains.

The fights hear aren't too bad, so just make your way through the first
few Rooms.  When/If you encounter a Deadly, you might want to flee.
However, If you do kill it, you will be rewarded with 8000 experience.
Use Fire attacks To kill it the easiest.  Eventually, you'll come
across a treasure chest.  Grab It for a Potion and head to the right,
leaving the room.  Head through this Screen and into the next room.
You'll see a save point, so you'll want to save your game before
heading on.  Head into the next room and continue through the following
room.  There's some snow on the ground now, grab The Cross Sword +0 and
continue on.  Head into the next room and walk to the middle of the
white platform.  Head into the newly opened door.  Continue through the
following rooms.  You will reach the top and some Townspeople that seem
to know you are there to greet you.  You find out that these people are
the ones that had you and entrusted you to the High Priest of Garade.
Head to the right once inside the building and down the stairs, take
the treasure here then leave the house by going Down.  Go right and
into the building and take a nap in the Inn if you Need to.  Then head
down into the house and grab all the treasure Inside of it.  Finally,
head into the cave by going up.

Now inside the Tower of Memories, head up then left and grab the
20000 Gold inside the chest.  Go to the same spot on the right and
grab the High Potion.  Head up the stairs.  Go into the door and head
left and grab the Dragon Killer in the blue dresser and the High Potion
in the  chest.  Head up the stairs to the third floor, then to the
fourth floor.  You will then see a representation of Alex, the last
scientist.  Now dead, He will tell you the information you need.  Head
out of the tower and Back to Lobos.

Now in Lobos, go back to the Mayor's house.  You learn some valuable
Information here, especially that there is a flying machine buried in
the Ground near Garade and you have the ability now to operate.  How
cool Is that?  Anyway, time to head back to Garade.

Remember near the beginning when Lagnus said something about a "wing?"
Well head into the middle of the forest and make your way back to your
old Fort.  Wow, talk about a nice find.  You can fly this puppy
anywhere you want So go exploring a little.

Once you are done exploring, fly over to Hilandia and go to the throne
Room.  Just like Karina says, head to the room where you slept before
and Rest.  Head down through the door and head left going down the
stairs.  Continue going down the stairs to get to the first floor.
Head down Through the door and then go left through the door and up the
Stairs.  Head down into the room with the maid and talk to her
To rest.
After a cut scene with Serra and Karina, we're brought to Kardosa
Where Hardwick is talking to some strange spirit in the wall.

Back to the King's room, we learn that Kardosa has launched an
Assault on the northern city of Hardos and that Kardosa are using
A metal soldier that can move freely.  Karina volunteers to go and
fight.

Leave the town and go on your airship.  Head a tiny bit north over the
Mountain and enter the town there, that's Hardos.  A monster who is
Made of steel?  Sounds like Lagnus.  Walk or fly up north and enter the
City here.  Head up the stairs and make your way to the door, enter the
Building.

After finding out Karina is not here, he tries to kill you with two
Bouncers.  Take 'em out.  Kind of lonely without Karina here...
Head up into the door and take the stairs going down.  Head to the
Bottom of the jail and speak to the familiar face.
Saladin can't unlock the door with no keyhole, so Bargan instructs
You to go and find a switch for the door.  Head to the top of the jail
And there is a switch on the wall behind the desk.
Go back to Bargan.  Head back up the stairs and then take the stairs
Going up.  Head to the right and grab the Herb and Potion in the
dresser.
Go down and grab the Long Sword +16 and Full Plate Mail in the chests
Then head down, going out of the room.  Bargan will call Cadmus to come
And help you.  Now it's time to head into the Kaldoria canal to save
Karina.

Head up and save your game, then continue into the door above you.
Go across the bridge and grab the Killer Wing +0, then head to the
Upper door.  Continue through this room.  Head either left or right and
You will see some stairs leading into the water, like the first Ruins,
this is A healing spring.  Head up into the door.  Head up across the
bridge And take a look at who it is... Lagnus.
Lagnus will ask you the question again, do you with to join him?
Saying "Yes" will have Lagnus laugh at you and call you a liar,
Resulting in the same consequence of you saying "No", Organa will
Now be sent to kill you.  Along with the big red guys.

Boss: Organa, Eliminat x2
Eliminat HP - 7000
Organa HP - ?????

This fight is friggin' hard.  Organa has incredible speed.  Not to
Mention attack and magic. The first and hard thing you will want
To do first is to knock out the Eliminats.  After the Eliminats are
gone This fight is much easier.  Use haste to your advantage if you can
Manage to squeeze it in there and keep healed while doing damage
Here and there.  Bargan's Sub command is good for Serra since she
Can hit around 1000 on the Eliminats.  After the battle is done, you're
Awarded 22000 experience and 19000 gold.  Not bad.
Bargan decides to stay with Organa after realizing that Organa is his
Daughter.

Head west into Claydon.  Head up into the door and up the stairs, then
Go down into the door and up the stairs to the throne room.

Cassius is waiting for you, alive and well and so is the King of
Claydon.
Cassius sure hasn't... changed.  He is going to be a lower level than
Everyone else so you should put him in the back row and upgrade his
Weapon until he catches up some.  When you are ready to move on,
Go to the right of the first floor and talk to the guard in purple
armor.
Go down the stairs and make your way through the hallway, going
Down the stairs when you see them.  Go straight up and fight the
Batalion and beat him easily.  Make your way back to the second floor
And talk to the guard infront of the door, he will let you in.  Time to
Get into Kardosa.  Head outside and enter Kardosa.

Once inside, head to the left until you reach the stairs, go up them.
Head to the right and keep going and you will see four chests, grab the
Potion, Crab Shell, and Soul Sabre -1 from them.  If you're looking for
Gold, look for the Gold Beetles in here.  Each give you 15000 gold and
It is possible to fight them in a group of 3.  Head back a bit and
enter The large middle door, go up the stairs above you.  Head down
then right And into the door and up the stairs.  Head down and left to
reach a save Point.  Then head up and right, through the gate and into
the next room.
You're now in Kardosa Ruins and you can see the Gassa mages inside the
Capsules.

Head up the stairs and continue through this room to face Sindra.

Boss: Sindra
Sindra HP - 30000

Ow, sharp sword alert.  He will hit around 3000-4000 with his normal
Attack and he can also cast Plasma, which isn't too bad.  He is
electric Element, so using Stone Lance with Saladin would work best.
He isn't As fast as Organa so you shouldn't have too much trouble
reviving/healing Your party after he attacks.  Sometimes he gets a
double attack in there, Which can hurt.  But if Aleth has a +20 weapon
he should be able to do Around 2000 damage and so can Stone Lance from
Saladin.
Cassius makes a brave sacrifice to save you.
You have full HP/MP again, so if you need to go back and save, I
suggest you do so.  Head up the stairs when you are ready.
Time for a little bit of treasure, head to the left and in the room and
Grab the High Potion, Potion and Guard Blazer.  Go right and grab the
High Potion, Rapier, Awakening Water, Panacea and Dragon Scale. Head up
And go up the stairs.  Head down and up the stairs.  It's Lagnus,
Hardwick And Odorath.

Boss: Odorath
Odorath HP - 45000

Okay, I wish I could have big snakes come out of my hand and do that.
He will do around 3000 damage with his melee attack and has slightly
more Defense than Sindra, plus more HP.  He uses some magic, but
nothing to be Afraid of, his Poison Needle can get annoying.  If you
have a strong Cross Sword, use that against him.  After you beat him,
it bides Chandler enough Time to take over Lagnus' body.  The tower
rumbles and is on the verge of Collapsing as Hardwick and Chandler
escape.  Hardwick's ship completely Obliterates Hardos and Hilandia.
It's time to get the Lindblum ready to Meet up with Kardosa's flying
fortress and end Hardwick's reign once and for all.

Head to the reactor room and grab the Forcetite so that the Lindblum
can Fly up into space.  Get the Forcetite and board your giant bird
ship thing.  Elliot will tell you that this is the final battle.  Make
sure you are ready.

As the Lindblum flies sky high, Saladin almost expresses his love to
Karina, but she stops him just before he can say it.  He'll get the
chance when this whole mess is done with, though.

This place is nasty.  I hope you have a lot of healing supplies.  Go
down into the door and head left, go down into the door and grab the
High Potion.  Go to the same spot on the right side to get another High
Potion.  Head out of this room and then head down then head to the
right, going down the stairs.  Head left and keep going left, head down
the stairs.  Grab the Plasma Gun from the chest and equip it on Serra.
Head back up the stairs.  Head right then go up and you'll see some
doors to your left and right.  Head into the bottom left door for some
Holy Plate Armor.  Then head up, away from the rooms and into the door
going down the stairs.  Go down, through both doors and then into the
third one below you.  Then head left and down, stopping infront of the
big doors.  Heal up, then head in.  Hardwick's mad scheme has gone long
enough.  And so has his bad taste in robotics.  Let's take him out.

Boss: Hardwick
Hardwick HP - 50000

Hardwick has a decent melee attack of around 3000-4000 damage, nothing
new.
He isn't very fast but his defense is high and has 50000 HP to boot.
If you have +20 weapons, you shouldn't have too much difficulty dealing
damage.  Since he is slow, you can take a heck of a lot of advantage of
that.  Haste a character who has a +20 weapon or whoever has the
strongest, let them get red HP and keep whacking him to hell with your
Tech.  If they die, just use normal revive or a Panacea to keep them in
red.  Other than his melee attack, he also has a quite powerful flame
attack which hits your entire party.  If you have the Dragon Scale
equipped, it will heal Aleth.  After a reasonably easy fight, you
crumple the robot up into a can.  Weeeee!  Hardwick is now dead.  But
another threat remains.  Where is Chandler?  Step onto the
blue platform to hunt him down.

Boss: Lagnus1
Lagnus1 HP - 12000

Uhhh... easy.  Fight him as if he were a normal enemy.  Also a good
time to haste and use other beneficial spells for his upcoming forms.

Boss: Lagnus2
Lagnus2 HP - 15000

He's a little uglier, but not much harder.  Starting to look a little
like a... hmm, well any guesses?

Boss: Lagnus3
Lagnus3 HP - 18000

As you've probably guessed it, he looks like a big ol' dragon.  Got the
Tiamat Blade or a high level Dragon Killer?  Time to whip it out.  He's
a little stronger and has a little more HP, but still crappy defense.
If you can manage to use your Tech with the Tiamat Blade, smile at the
9999 damage you can do.

Boss: Lagnus4
Lagnus4 HP - ?????

Okay, okay, so he's big now, you can't see his HP, his defense is heck
of a lot better, and he can hit somewhere in the range of 9999.  No
problem, right?  Reminds me of silly Lagnus back with his Wooden Spear.
Okay, ow.
You're supposed to lose this match, so just let him beat ya down.

Serra uses the three gems and the spirit nucleus to create... the Orb.

Boss: Lagnus
Lagnus HP - ????? (Estimated 40000 HP)

He's hell of a lot harder than his other three forms so prepare for a
big fight.  Since he doesn't hit 9999 like he did before, don't worry
too much keeping them healed full.  If you can manage to squeeze in
some Tech with Aleth with his Tiamat Blade, you're gonna have this
battle go in your favour quite quickly.
You will be doing around 5000 damage with it.  Oh yes, did I mention he
likes the spell Nova?  Instead of just breathing fire at you, he's
switched over to Nova.  This will smack you around for around 3000-4000
damage on your entire party, so keep an eye out for that.  But still,
he isn't very fast so it's nothing you can't come back and heal.  Just
keep blasting him and blasting him with Tech and you will eventually
win the fight.

Lagnus is back but Chandler makes an unwanted appearance... time to
take him out, once and for all!

Final Boss: Chandler
Chandler HP - ????? (Around 50000)

This guy doesn't have melee attack at all, he will hit around 1500.
But his speed is higher than of Lagnus.  He has a flame spell that is
no different than Lagnus' third form.  Other than those two moves, he
isn't much, surprisingly.
Keep attacking with Saladin (with Shiva Blade) and Aleth with Tiamate
Blade and keep yourself healed and the battle is as good as yours.
Congratulations!

Now, sit back and relax.  You've done well, it's time now for the
ending sequence...

Just want to say thanks to those who read the FAQ and the ones who will
help provide more information as I continue to work on this FAQ.
