Introduction
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dragonball Z Legend of the Super-Saiyan is, in my opinion, the best
Dragonball game to date. It tells the story of Dragonball Z up until
Goku defeats Frieza. It has even the slightest details of Dragonball Z,
from Piccolo jumping in front of Nappa's KI blast to save Gohan, down
to Guru raising your characters BP. It begins when Radditz comes and
kidnaps Gohan and demands that Goku kill 100 humans before the next day
or Gohan will die. Piccolo then comes to help Goku stop Radditz from
conquering Earth. This is where the game begins.

This is my first FAQ, so don't complain if my titles aren't elaborate

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Characters
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Goku
Appearance: Wearing an orange gi and has black hair sticking out all
over the place.
KI attacks:
2 KI: A fast, invisible KI blast shot from the hand.
4 KI: Goku shoots a single-handed KI blast, four consecutive blasts, or
a large two-handed blast depending on the card strength.
6 KI: Solar Flare: The targeted enemy is unable to attack this turn.
8 KI: Kamehameha: Blast that's charged up and fired.
10 KI: Kaioken: Receive after training under King Kai. Raises BP. The
stronger the KI card, the more BP gained.
20 KI: Spirit Bomb: Available when using Kaioken. Charge up for a
number of turns. Before each turn, it will ask you if you want to keep
up Kaioken. Choose "Yes" (the top one). It will then ask if you want to
throw the bomb (Top) or continue to charge it (Bottom). The longer you
charge it, the stronger the blast.
Goku is the strongest character you'll ever control, unless you train
the others REALLY hard. He is the main character of DBZ, and is the one
who goes Super-Saiyan. However, you hardly get any chance to use him.
If he dies, it's game over

Piccolo
Appearance: You'll know him when you see him. He's green.
KI Attacks
4 KI: Same as Goku's 4 KI attack,
10 KI: Special Beam Cannon: A powerful spiral beam shot from the
fingers.
A long time rival of Goku, Piccolo is the second strongest character.
He is who you use to kill Radditz. When on Namek, he can fuse with
other Namekians to make his BP skyrocket. If he dies, it's game over

Gohan
Appearance: The little black haired kid.
KI Attacks
4 KI: Same as Goku and Piccolo's 4 KI attack.
15 KI: Masenko: Gohan's trademark attack. Similar to Kamehameha.
Gohan, the son of Goku, is pretty good he's strong, which is darn good
'cause you won't have Goku, Piccolo, or Vegeta most of the game. You
play as him most of the time, in the sense that he's the character you
guide around all over Namek. If he dies, it's game over.

Krillin
Appearance: Bald guy wearing a gi similar to Goku's.
KI Attacks
8 KI: That one attack Krillin used against the Saibamen.
6 KI: Solar Flare: Same as Goku's.
8 KI: Kamehameha: Same as Goku's.
12 KI: Destructo Disc: Throws an energy disc that cuts clean through
the opponent. Very Strong.
Krillin is the probably strongest human fighter that you will control,
and is Goku's best friend. He has about the same BP as Tien, but Tien
has better attacks. When getting ready to fight the Saiyans, he's
directly below you. His suit kinda blends in with the sand, so he's not
that easy to see. He can die and you can still continue the game.

Yamcha
Appearance: Orange gi, long hair, two scars. Pretty basic.
KI Attacks
8 KI: Kamehameha: Guess what it does.
12 KI: Multidirectional Fireball: Shoots a fireball from his hand.
Always hits.
Yamcha is a long time friend of Goku's. He can be useful in battles,
with Multidirectional Fireball. The problem is that his BP's
pathetically low, so Tien's automatic hit is a better use for a KI
card. When getting ready to fight the Saiyans, he's in the middle of
some rocks east of Krillin. He can die and you can still continue the
game.

Tien
Appearance: Man in tank top and green pants. Oh yeah. He's tricloptic.
He has three eyes.
KI Attacks
4 KI: Unless noted, all 4 KI attacks are the same.
6 KI: Solar Flare: Same as all the other Solar Flares
20 KI: Tien uses psychic powers to break up some rubble and send it at
the targeted enemy. It can miss, though.
15 KI: 4-Man Attack: Tien splits himself into four Tiens and they
either all shoot a blast at him or do the more powerful attack above.
Either way, it always hits.
Tien was one of the characters introduced later in Dragonball, along
with his best friend Chiautzu. He has about the same BP as Krillin,
maybe a bit higher, which is good 'cause you'll be using 4-Man Attack A
LOT. When getting ready to fight the Saiyans, he's with Chiautzu in
some rocks south of Yamcha. He can die and you can still continue the
game.

Chiautzu
Appearance: He's pretty easy to see, as he's CHALK WHITE with red
cheeks.
KI Attacks
8 KI: Fingertip Blast: Shoots blast from finger. Same as that killer
thing Frieza uses.
6 KI: Same thing as Solar Flare, excepts holds them with psychic
powers.
16 KI: Self-Destruct: Unlike the T.V. show, he doesn't really blow
himself up. He grabs onto the enemy's back and discharges a load of
energy. Pretty strong.
Chiaotzu is pathetic. Plain and simple. He's useful for cannon fodder
and doing small, extra amounts of damage. That's about it. He's the
worst character in the game. His BP is lower then any other character,
save Dende. His attacks suck. His one good attack is hampered by his
low BP, usually causing a miss and a waste of a good KI card. Still,
he's cool to have around, he's cute, and he's extremely useful against
Frieza stage 4. He's with his best friend Tien when preparing for the
Saiyans. He can die and you can still continue the game.

Vegeta
Appearance: Spiky hair is all that distinguishes him.
KI Attacks
2 KI: Same as Goku's 2 KI attack except uses two fingers instead of
hand.
4 KI: Think about it.
8 KI: Same as Tien's 20 KI attack, except weaker and hits EVERYONE
active this turn, even your fighters.
12 KI: Destructo Disc: Same as Krillin's.
20 KI: Gallet Gun: Similar to Kamehameha, but WAY stronger. Strongest
attack in the game.
Vegeta starts out a bad guy and is one of the Saiyans you battle.
However, on Namek, he joins you after getting the one star Dragonball.
From then on, he's one of the strongest characters and will save your
butt many times. He can die against Frieza and you can still continue
the game.

Dende
Appearance: Kinda like a mini Piccolo. He's also green.
KI Attacks
None
Dende has the lowest BP of any character, starting at 10 and never
rising. However, at level 3, he has the ability to heal one character
per turn without using any KI or cards, making him still more useful
then Chiaotzu.

Nail
Appearance: Looks A LOT like Piccolo.
KI Attacks
To tell you the truth, I've never used his KI attacks. Coming soon.
Nail joins you for a very short time after defeating another Namekian
in the same room of the cave he's in. He has a pretty high BP for you
when he joins, making it a big disappointment when he leaves right
away. Later, he'll fight Frieza stage 1 and lose, of course. In the
near future you'll search him out as Piccolo and fuse with him, raising
Piccolo's BP significantly. At the point when you get him, you'll have
to work real hard to get him killed, but if you do, game over.

Namekian #1 (I don't know his name)
Appearance: Another Piccolo look alike.
KI Attacks
4 KI: Think real hard about this one

Namekian #2 (I don't know his name)
O.K., this is just another Namekian that helps you. His KI attack is
the 4 KI one. He joins you with Namekian #1.

Namek Child
Appearance: Basically a carbon copy of Dende.
The guy can't fight, so what's the point of going in depth?

Walkthrough
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is a walkthrough of the game. I would suggest trying to do it on
your own first, but this is Japanese. It's hard to get anywhere without
a walkthrough.

The Worlds's Strongest Team
---------------------------
The game starts out with Radditz kidnapping his nephew Gohan, ordering
Goku to kill 100 humans by the next day or Gohan will be killed.
Piccolo then shows up to help Goku get his son back. Now you take
control. Go inside the house and talk to Bulma to get the Dragon Radar.
Then talk to Krillin and Master Roshi to get a Unigame card and 40
points to buy cards with. Now go outside and fly around fighting
Saibamen 'til you get to about level four, give or take a level. I made
it to Level 3 before I got bored. Anyway, Northwest of Roshi's Island
is a small almost town with a house, healing station, and card shop. To
the north is a cave, and to the west is a house with Mr. Popo being
held hostage by five Gold Saibamen. You'll step outside. Beat the crap
out of them to receive a Gohan card from Mr. Popo. Now, if you made it
to Level 4, Radditz will come to fight you. I'm guessing it's been a
day since he gave you your "mission." If not, go up to the cave. Walk
up, left, up, and right to find Radditz. Beat the crap out of him,
using strong offense and defense cards. Pretty hard, eh? You ain't seen
nuttin'. But now that Radditz is dead-What the Hell?! A Saibaman? Yep.
You got 50 lousy EXP for going through hell for NOTHING! Well, go
outside and go up. It's your big brother there by a Saiyan Pod. And
it's really him now. Go up to him. You'll now fight.

Boss: Radditz
BP: 15,000

The rest of his stats don't matter 'cause you can kill him on full
health with ease. Use your Gohan card right away. Now use the highest
Defense cards available. Don't use KI attacks or high attacks. Look!
You can't hurt him! Now pray that you survive and before the turn is
over, Gohan will power up. Look out Uncle Radditz, cause here he comes!
Gohan now tackles Radditz and shatters his armor. Next turn, Goku will
be unavailable to use in battle. Have Piccolo use Special Beam Cannon.
At the beginning of the turn, Goku grabs Radditz, immobilizing them
both. Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon will tear right through them, and
they both die. Another option is to beat them down 'til Goku is almost
out of HP (under 10), as Goku takes damage from Piccolo's attacks too,
and use a Kami card to level him up. You still must use Special Beam
Cannon to kill Radditz. After they die, it shows a little cinema. Onto
the next section.

The End of Snakeway
Catch Bubbles!
-------------------
Now you take control of Gohan in a cave. Piccolo has been training
Gohan the last few months. Now it's time for battle. Go talk to
Piccolo. You fight him. A high powered Masenko will heavily damage or
even take down Piccolo. You can use the same trick as used above with
Goku with Gohan now, as I've heard you can lose and keep trying again.
I also think you can stop fighting anytime and heal. The pool below you
can be used for healing. I don't know this stuff, as I've had no
trouble with Piccolo whatsoever. After winning, you see a little cinema
of Goku flying along Snakeway. Now you control him on King Kai's
planet. Talk to King Kai to train against the gravity and catch
Bubbles. You tap the arrow keys to train. Here's a little key of what
to do:

When Goku faces you, then jumps straight up, tap up.
When Goku jumps straight up while facing right, tap right.
When Goku slides along the ground and offscreen, tap up.
When Goku starts kicking, tap up.
When Goku jumps from side to side, tap the way he's going at the
current moment.

You need to get the health meter thing down to catch Bubbles. When it's
down, you've gotten used to the gravity. After a couple rounds of this,
you fight King Kai. He's really easy, and isn't even considered a boss.
You are now wished back to Earth, and the Saiyans arrive.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
How to Play Like the T.V. Show
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Basically, this tells you who to let die when to make it like the T.V.
show. This makes the game easier at some points and harder at others.
Since noone is revived in the T.V. show except those revived in the
game, it will make it exactly like the T.V. show.

Battle of the Saiyans
---------------------
Before using Gohan card against Radditz, fight one turn.
Kill the lone Saibaman with Tien alone.
Let Yamcha die against the next Saibamen after killing one. No big
loss.
If he's strong enough, use Krillin to kill all of the rest.
Let Chiaotzu die against Nappa. This should be easy and is not even
considered a loss on my part.
Here's what I hate. You now must let Tien die against Nappa. This does
make Nappa easier, however, as while he's killing those two, it gives
Goku a chance to get there. Make sure to not make it so Goku arrives
right away, as it won't be like the T.V. show. Against Vegeta, either
wait until he goes Oozaru and use Moon/Tail or use it on Gohan to make
him go Oozaru. Either way works. Always use Kaioken 3.

Namek's Dragonball Hunt
-----------------------
Use the Vegeta card on either Kui or Dodoria. Since he kills them both,
you can't do it exactly like the T.V. show. I suggest using it on
Dodoria since that tub of lard is so strong and Vegeta's a BIG help.
Then just continue 'til you make it to the Ginyu Force. Beat up Guldo,
Recoome, and Burter, then finish them using Vegeta. Then when you make
it to Ginyu, make sure Ginyu Body Switches with Goku. Then beat up
Ginyu with Krillin and Gohan and kill Jeice with Vegeta. The Namek hunt
is harder without the extra characters, especially Tien.

Battle With Frieza
------------------
Just take on Frieza normally. Don't bother finding the Namekians, as
you'd keep Dende anyway. It's harder this way, but all you need to do
is only have Piccolo fight and heal him with Dende every turn. When
Frieza turns stage 4, he'll kill Dende (NOOOOOOO!!!!). Now send out
Vegeta with a low defense card to kill him. Make sure Vegeta has some
damage to ensure his death. Now Goku comes. Send out Krillin alone with
a weak defense. He'll probably die right away. Good. Goku will go Super
Saiyan. Now just  give Frieza a massive beating. Congratulations. You
just beat the T.V. show.
