Introduction
____________

This Faq will be going through Dinocity, for SNES. This Faq will not include
secrets or short cuts. This will get you thorough the game and provide you
with tips and hints for bosses, levels ect.

This Faq will be updated, and will include a secret and short cut section
so you can get everything in the game as quick as possible. Now that that
is out the way, enjoy the Faq and the game >:)

Game basics
____________

Before I get to the walkthrough I am just going to list a couple of hints
that should help you along the way. If you're like me and don’t like to read
the instruction booklet for only a couple things this should help.

~ Pressing the "R" button allows Timmy to get off Rex (The dino)
and on his back to jump and reach higher places.

~ Pressing "R" again allows Timmy to get back on Rex.

~ Being falling off a cliff or getting hit by a baddie will result in a
loss of a life no matter if your on Rex or off him.

Game controls
_____________

The arrows on your SNES controller obviously control which way he goes,
back, forth, up, down. "B" and "A" are both commands to jump and "Y" and "X"
are for punch. That settles that, now lets get on with the walkthrough.

The Walkthrough

Stage One
*********

Ok you will appear in some kind of tropical land and you will be riding
a Dino called Rex. Move forward and you will see cavemen coming after you.
There will be five of them, the best way to avoid being hit is to just
jump over the first three one at a time, then the next two by jumping on
there head. After them keep going forward until you reach downward steps
that have little baddies that open up with spikes. Jump all the way down
to the third step and then jump off onto the bottom. Be ready because at
the bottom a charging caveman is waiting for you.

Just jump on his head a couple of times, or just jump over him and let him
fall off the cliff. Now jump onto the next platform and be ready to avoid a
jumping cavewomen just wait for her to land then jump on her head and pass
her and continue on forward. Then you should see two doors one on the top of a
platform and one straight ahead. Ignore the one on the top and go for the one
straight ahead. Press "up" on the arrow key to enter the door. Ok now you are
on a ledge and can see a moving platform. Jump onto it when it is nearest to
the edge then ride until you see the next and jump onto it. Ok now dont
jump off it just yet, wait until you see the caveman waiting for you
then jump so you can be ready to jump on him. Ok now that he is out the
way jump right on to the caveman throwing rocks. Now if you land on anywhere
but the middle the cliff will slide off so be ready to jump quick if you
miss the middle.

Now standing on the middle platform you should see a moving platform
to jump on, make sure you time this well because the cliff you step
on to reach the moving platform will slide off, so make sure you time it just
right. So now you’re on the moving platform just continue to jump across each
moving platform until you reach a steady one. Now you should see five Dino
eggs and one life heart above you, now walk forward and let the little
piece of ground shake out from underneath you and jump back to the place
with five eggs and a heart. So now you have a open cliff and a pile of boxes
to jump for. You wont reach them by just jumping so now you have to move
Rex (Your Dino) to the edge as close as you can with out falling off. Now
that you are by the edge press "R" and let the boy stand on Rex.

Jump with the boy on the tall pile of boxed and then jump back to Rex.
(The boxes will fall) then just jump right across the ledge to the open space.
As soon as you land on the new open space twp cavemen will be coming
for you, don’t jump just punch then with "B" and go to the edge.
WAIT!! Don’t jump, wait until you see two steps appearing and disappearing
jump onto the first one, then the second one then to the middle of the
next platform. Now wait again on the middle and you will see more disappearing
steps, now just jump onto each of them till you reach the other platforms.
All the next platforms slide off so don’t stop and just keep jumping and
jumping. Now once you reach the end you will see another two doors,
ignore the top door again and go to the one on the bottom. Ok so now
you end up in a forest like level, you will a whole row of the baddies that
open up with spikes, just wait for them to close and then jump so you can
avoid there spikes.

Now once you reach the end of them you will see a blue
step, this step moves as soon as you touch it and will bring up to
the monster at the top if you don’t jump off in time. So now that you know
jump onto the blue step and jump off before you reach the monster. Now you
are on a pile of boxes, they are going to fall so ride them to the bottom
and jump on the next blue step. Same as before jump off before you reach the
top. Ok now just slide down this platform and jump on the tiny moving step.
From there just keep jumping on each little step until you reach the platform
with a caveman and more of the baddies who open up with spikes. Jump on the
caveman so you don’t have to worry about him and move forward until you see
a caveman throwing rocks. Wait until the little step appears and jump on it,
then on the caveman who is throwing rocks. Then slowly slide down the next
platform and wait for the little step, jump on it and ride it until you see
a blue step.

Now don’t jump for it, just walk off the little step onto the
blue step so you don’t get eaten by the monsters at the top. Now just walk
straight and go in the door on the bottom. Now your in ice caves, just slide
down the first platform and wait for the statue blowing ice and fire to blow
ice so you can walk across the water. Now you made it across the water and
onto the next platform, a caveman will be falling down so just jump on him
and continue up the ice hill. Now slide down the other part of the ice hill
and again wait for the statue to blow ice so you can walk across. Now there
is another hill you have to go up and down on, this hill will have slug
time baddies falling down on it, just jump over each one (It's easy) and
go down the hill. Now continue to go up and down the hills that have the
slugs rolling down until you reach another cross road, this time head for
the top and wait for the statue to blow ice so you can walk across. Now
that your across you will see skulls that have there teeth on the bottom
and there face on the top, they will try and catch you with there teeth so
just jump on there head and continue forward. After the two skulls wait again
for the statue to blow ice and walk across. There will be two doors at the
end, choose the bottom one and go in.

Now you end up on a short ledge with a caveman directly underneath you, jump
onto the little piece of ground and then onto the caveman. Then just go to
the bottom and get on the blue step and ride it to the top and jump off onto
the right ledge. Slide down the cliff but go fast because as soon as you start
a big boulder tries to run you over. Then go down to the bottom and jump across
the blue steps, ride the third blue step to the top and jump off to the
right ledge again. Ok so now you see the baddies that have spikes, but
this time they also have wings. An easy way to get past them is to just
jump into the air and press "R" this will let Rex fall and curl and just
crush them. Do this until you reach the bottom. Now go forward till you see
more baddies with spikes, you can just do the jump and R trick and jump
your way up to the top. Now that you're at the top just slide down the
ledge, and go all the way to the right so you don’t get crushed by the
boulder. Now go to the bottom and ride the blue step, jump off and go
to the left. You will land right by a door go in and now it’s the level
one boss.

BOSS ONE
**--**--*

Boss Tip- To avoid rocks best go to the very left of the screen, then walk
three steps to the right. At this position no rocks will be able to hit you.

This boss is pretty easy; all you have to do is avoid the rocks he blasts
at you, when he goes down to pump more, you run to them and punch the rocks
with Rex and the rocks will break on him. You have to hit him eight times.
Then he falls, you climb up the latter and go into the door.

Stage Two
*********

Ok so after defeating the boss and climbing up the ladder you end up staring
at an edge with an egg. Now be careful because as soon as you grab the egg the
platform will move and three baddies will fall from the top of the screen.
Crush them and jump onto the steps and go to the top. Now you’re on the second
platform if you need it, grab the heart. Now you see a ledge you just can’t
reach so just tap the "R" button and jump with the kid and stairs will fall
down for you to jump on. Go up the stairs and jump to the top. Now go forward
and two little baddies will fall down, jump over them or punch them, but do
not jump on them. Now you see some caveman throwing rocks just time it and
jump right on down.

Now when you reach the bottom the bottom platform will start to move but don’t
worry about it and go forward. Now just jump to the top and you should see a
door, go in it. Now you end up with a little surf board type thing in front
of you, jump on it and dodge the incoming baddies. For the first baddie don’t
do a thing, it will jump right over you. For the second one just jump right
over it. Then you come to a stop. Jump on the pile of boxes when they start to
fall jump back onto your surf board. Now you see a skull and its teeth just
jump onto its head and then back onto your surf board. After you pass him
just jump on the next platforms. Now continue forward until you see another
surf board, jump on it.

Now this time just ride it, you won’t have to jump for the skull, but as soon
as you pass the skull jump into the water and you should on the bottom door.
That is the one you want, not the top door. Ok so now go in the door.
Now move forward and watch out because the floor will start to fall apart and
baddies will come from the top, either punch them or jump over them quickly
and continue on forward. Now there will be a skinny platform for you to stand
on till you get yourself together. Now be ready and jump on the next platform
much like the first one it falls apart and the same type of baddie comes from
the top so be careful. Now just go forward until you reach another one of them
skull baddies now get of the dino with the kid and go under the skulls teeth,
now once under jump on the skulls head with the kid. Make sure you leave a big
space so now Rex (the Dino) can get by too.

Now once you both can get by you approach a set of skulls, do the same thing
except this time you have one on top trying to chomp you so only stand on the
head for a short period of time just to be safe. Lower it enough and go right
on by. Now that you’re past that you have yet another falling apart platform,
run by it and jump from the baddies falling. Run along and keep running right
under the next skull, after the skull choose the bottom door and go in it.
Now you’re in a ice cavern, go forward and you will see blocks of ice with
cavemen in them, be careful because the cavemen poke there spears through the
ice, after you climb up the ice blocks slide down the ice hill and jump onto
the ice.

Now hurry before the statue has a chance to blow fire and melt the ice, do the
same when you jump over him. Now continue forward and you will see ice step in
the air but these ones don’t fall. The only thing is a bird baddie, but just
jump over him. Now as you go forward you see two more ice hills slide down
them and on the second one hold you self and be ready for a caveman throwing
rocks. Once you pass him you will see a set of more skull baddies, just time
there teeth and go right under them, but make sure you go way early because
the ice really slows you down. Now continue to go forward and you will see a
top level and bottom level, choose the bottom level punch the caveman and go
through the door. Now you end up in a desert, and you see eggs in a shape of
an arrow pointing down, just follow them and jump on down. Now you will ride
a blue step and be shot out back on the top. Now when you see your next cliff
just jump back down and hold right on your controller. Now your back
underground now just go forward and keep under until you see a door, it will
be the only one so just go in it and be ready for a boss fight.

BOSS TWO
**--**--*

Boss Tip- Always watch the ground to see when to jump, watching the ground
will make this boss much easier.

Boss- Ok so this boss may look hard but he really is not. There are two parts
to him. First off he likes to go under the ground so beware of that. Now when
he pops up from the ground he is going to shoot out a blue shock wave every time
just jump over it. Now when he is done shooting his blue wave he opens up his
mouth, when he does this jump to him and punch him. Then he goes back under.
Just jump over his wave and hit him and he will be done soon. See? That was
easy.

V.-Closing
____________

This FAQ will soon be updated to take care of more levels, Dinocity has
seven levels so I took care of about .25, I know it's not much but seeing as
there is nothing up on Dinocity I thought I would submit a little at a time
to help people incase they need help on the first few. Expect a couple more
levels with in a weeks time. So since the FAQ is not done yet, I better get
back to work =)
