1. Why I made this.
I made this because I always wanted to have all those things
that I can't normally get in the game. So now thanks to me, I found it
all out and I am giving all this info to whoever reads this. I was also
very bored.
Another reason was that it might help people who are having a
hard time beating the game and it might encourage more people to play.
The things that you need for hacking are a hex editor like
Translhextion or Hex Workshop.

2. History
v2.0 Kind of a small update but oh well. Added troop editing and
some misc stuff. Fixed some small spelling mistakes.
v1.0 My first version out. Character and item editing so far.

3. How to do this
Things that you would need.
1. A Zsnes savestate of Der Langrisser
2. A hex editor
3. Basic knowledge of hexadecimals.
Steps
1. Make a savestate at anytime while playing.
2. Open the hex editor program and load the savestate.
3. Locate what thing you want to change in the guide. (Stats, items...)
4. Locate where it is found in the hex program.
5. Then change the byte to whatever you want it to be.
Example
Let's say that I want to change Elwin's class. I first make a savestate
while playing DL, I locate my hex editing program Translhextion. I then
open my savestate. I right click, then click on jump to. I then jump to
BC13 as it says in my guide. I then change the current byte to a different
one. I start up Zsnes and open my savestate. Oh my gosh!
Elwin is a different class now. There you go!

If you change a characters X,Y position, it makes two of that
character appear after the turn ends. (One in the original position
and one in the changed position.) But they still act like one character.
I won't go into any more character stats cause it gets rather
confusing.
