1.) INTRODUCTION
--------------------
Breath Of Fire 2 is an extraordinary game that can keep you busy for
dozons of hours on in. Not only can you build three types of towns with
two different endings but the reply value is exceptionally good as you
can choose different options, change your dialoge answers to get
different responses that could open new info to the game you did not
know existed. My ultimate goal for this FAQ is or it to be one of the
most informational on the web. This game may be five years old but it is
one of my all time favorites and can still compete in some of today's
newer RPG's. This FAQ is only at Gamefaqs.com right now so check there
to find it. I hope you enjoy this FAQ, as well as the game itself.

3.) HINTS AND TIPS
---------------------
- You should always save your game whenever you are about to face a boss
of any skill level or when Ryu and crew are about to enter a long and
tedious dungeon. I mean hey, ya never know when a little sibling is
going to barge in your room and turn your system off. Plus there's
always the chance of it crashing. The save spots are listed below:
Dragon Statues Saint Eva Churches
- Whenever you obtain weapons, helmets, or armor you should immediately
equip it and sell or put your old weapons, helmets, or armor in the
bank.
- In Bof2 you will encounter an enormous amount of enemies, ranging from
Gongheads to K. Sludges. This being said you should always be prepared
for enemies by looking at the green gremlin on the menu. Green Gremlin
has four stages, they are; super active, active, semi active, and
asleep.
- Take full advantage of the banks that you find throughout Bof2. If you
happen to lose a battle, the total cash supply you have would be divided
by 1/3, so use the banks!
- You should always put your strongest character in the front of the
group as far as defense goes. Here is an example:

As you can see Rand is the strongest as far as defense. Ryu is above
average while Katt is mediocre. Of course, Nina is dead last, but has
great attack magic. Remember, use good strategy and you'll go far!
- Make sure to recruit many useful residents to Township because many
can provide very useful services such as opening up shops in which you
can buy items. Make smart decisions!
- In the beginning of the game, while you are looking for Suzy, you will
most likely be short on cash. Therefore you should take full advantage
of Bow's field ability, which is hunt. When you kill a pig or deer,
there's a good chance it will be a roast. And roasts sell for 200 Z,
which is a nice chunk of change!
- Before a battle situation occurs, always make sure you have essential
items such as LifePl's or Wfruits. And never forget to save your game
before crucial parts in the game.
- Whenever a character says something in red it is important and should
be remembered.

4.) CHARACTER PROFILES

Name: Hero/Ryu
Weapon: Sword
Occupation: Ranger
Top 3 Spells: Anfini, G. Dragon, and one of the other 3 dragons.
Rank: A-
Battle Ability: Guts. Restores some of Ryu's HP, but rate of success
depends on how often you use it. The less you use it the more HP it will
restore.
Field Ability: Fish. Ryu can fish for fish and also fish for treasure
chests that contain valuable items and hit the action button.
Notable Shaman Combo: None, Ryu cannot bond with the shamans because he
is a Dragon Clan member.
Description: Ryu is an above average character in everything except AP
capacity. But that does not matter as his dragon spells drain all of
that anyway. As a lad Ryu lost his mother and strangely his town all
forgot him one day after he took a nap under a dragon in which his
sister, Yua suggested. Plus, his father, Ganer, and Yua also disappeared
when Ryu returned. When he stayed at the church alone and scared that
night he met a free sprit thief named...
Name: Bow
Weapon: Bow
Occupation: Ranger/ Thief
Top 3 Spells: CureX, RenewX, and Cure3
Rank: B-
Battle Ability: Shot. With shot you either kill the enemy or you take 1
HP off them.
Field Ability: Hunt. Use Bow to hunt animals with his bow. You can do
this by entering the grass patches on the overworld map.
Notable Shaman Combo: Devil + Wind
Description: Bow is a good character that has an impressive amount of
AP. Bow does not have a very high attack rate though. You can change
that by giving him fifty Pwrfood, though. He has known Ryu for ten long
years where they have experienced much together, and it would be
appropriate to call Bow Ryu's best friend. Bow would accurately be
described as a ladies man. Bow, also, will be the first of the two
healers to join the group. The second is...
Name: Rand
Weapon: Knuckles
Occupation: Coliseum Worker/ Former Farmer
Top 3 Spells: Cure3, 8.0, Missile (learn from Barbose)
Rank: B+
Battle Ability: Wake. Attempts to hit a downed party member to revive
him/her for 1 HP. Only useful in the first five minuets you get him.
Field Ability. Roll. He rolls making the trip to destinations shorter.
If you run into something while doing this you will have a 49/51 percent
chance of battle.
Notable Shaman Combos: Earth + Fire/Water
Description: Rand is an extraordinary character that is a worth addition
to your healing arsenal. He has an insane amount of HP. Rand's defense
is high and strength is high, but his strength does not fully go to his
offense. Rand is a simple 9'0 foot ex. farmer who was born in Farmtown.
Rand wanted more from life so he headed to Coursair where he worked at
Coliseum and met the ambitious...
Name: Katt
Weapon: Staff
Occupation: Gladiator
Top 3 Spells: Bolt X, Fireball, Hail
Rank: A-
Battle Ability: Dare. This brilliant cat woman dares people to hit her.
But with her low defense she often gets massive amounts of damage during
this.
Field Ability: Hunt. Same as Bow, except with a staff.
Notable Shaman Combos: Devil + Fire/Water
Description: Katt is the best physical attacker in Bof2. Plus, only Bleu
matches her agility and speed. The low points are her below average HP
and horribly low AP. In fact the lowest of any character. She learns the
best spells in the game but does not have the AP to use them until
around level 40 and shamanized. Katt is a gladiator who likes to keep to
herself, but Katt will eventually warm up to Ryu and his friends. During
the "hunt for Patty" Katt and Ryu will encounter...
Name: Nina
Weapon: Ring
Occupation: Student at M. School
Top 3 Spells: BoltX, Hail, Fireball
Rank: B- with a smile :)
Battle Ability: Will. Recovers AP usually around 16 or so.
Field Ability: Call. She will call the great bird for flight
transportation across the world.
Notable Shaman Combos: Holy + Wind
Description: Nina's a an excellent magician. But I can't say the same
for her defense, offense, and HP. She has the lowest HP of any
character. But she still has some great spells that make her an attacker
with magic. Nina was banished from Windia as a princess because of her
black wings. Nina is probably the most caring and considerate of the
group. Windia is also where you meet the fool monkey...
Name: Sten
Weapon: Dagger
Occupation: Magician/ Former General
Top 3 spells: Missile, Fireball, and Flame
Rank: C+
Battle Ability: R.i.P. Sten literally "plays possum" so the enemy will
thinks he's dead. Although if he is hit, Sten takes 1.5 times more
damage then usual.
Field Ability: Extend. Sten uses his arms to pull the party across short
distances.
Notable Shaman Combos: Wind + Fire
Description: I have one word for Sten, AVERAGE. He is average in
anything and everything under the sun. If you want him to be a good
attacker you'll have to dump lots of Pwrfood into him. Sten ran away
from a great Highlander battle when he was a general and never returned
again. He meets Ryu and the gang in Windia where he attempts to make Ryu
disappear. Like Bow he is in love with any women that crosses his path.
Sten has great luck, but nothing compared to...
Name: Jean
Weapon: Dagger
Occupation: Prince. Perhaps a cook and painter?
Top 3 spells: Renew, Death, Angel
Rank: D
Battle Ability: Jab. Jean hits all enemies for a hilarious amount of
non-damage.
Field Ability: Hop. Jean transforms into a frog and hops across the
land.
Notable Shaman Combos: Earth + Water
Description: Jean is a horrible character plain and simple. His Jab
ability is just plain shit. The only thing he shines at is luck, which
is very high. Jean is the Prince of SimaFort. His Shaman form is
acceptable though. The only thing he is useful for is getting the second
set of dragon powers. He is the worst character thanks to...
Name: Spar
Weapon: Whip
Occupation: Tree
Top 3 spells: Def-upX, Freeze, Exit/Warp
Ranks: C-
Battle Ability: Nature: Spar will call out to the nature in different
areas and nature will help in several different ways.
Field Ability: Walk. Spar walks through the forest.
Notable Shaman Combos: Water + Earth
Description: Spar is a bearable character. He is a status magician with
spells like, Def-up and Agil-up. He has lots of HP and AP like a real
tree. But he could have better offense, defense, and strength. Spar is
the carnival's main attraction but the manager would have killed him if
Ryu and company had not come along. He had the ability to leave but was
looking for someone to come save him or something. I like Spar.
Name: Bleu
Weapon: Ring
Occupation: Magician
Top 3 Spells: BoltX, Hail, Fireball
Rank: A+
Battle Ability: Shed. Bleu uses Shed to restore all HP.
Field Ability: Hunt. Bleu can hunt like Bow, but she burns everything to
charcoal.
Notable Shaman Combos: None, Bleu cannot bond with the shamans.
Description: Bleu is the so-called " hidden character" in Bof2. You
obtain her at level 35 where she has already has a huge arsenal of
spells. She is the only character that continues to obtain more
experience all the way to level 100! Visit the Side Quests section to
find out how to obtain her. Now, on to the walkthrough!

5.) WALKTHROUGH

SECTION ONE: PROLOUGE TO SPAR
Location: Gate/Cave
Party: Ryu, Bow
Level: 1
Enemies: Beak
Items: TreePl, Herb
You start out with the picture in black and white (don't worry that will
change). Ganer, you're dad, is searching for you're sister Yua. Ganer
will call you so exit you're room (don't forget to get the TreePole from
Ryu's shelf). Proceed down the stairs to Ganer. He tells you that Yua
has disappeared again. Ganer then asks:
"Ryu, please go find Yua"
Yes No
Choose yes. Exit the church to find two women talking. Speak to the one
on the right. She'll tell you Yua plays at the back mountain. Therefore
go to the north and you will find a bush. Press A and proceed to the
forest. Continue further and the color will be inserted! You find Yua
next to a dragon's skull and kaboom!
Boss: Beak
HP: 50
Obatin: 5 exp. and 5 coins
Party: Ryu
Difficulty***(3)/**********(10)
Est. Battle time: 20 seconds
Strategy: Continue to attack until you're HP reaches four, then Ganer
saves you with S. Boom.
Watch the cinema. Ganer will now state:
"If I had more strength things would have been different..."
Right! Not True!
I'll leave this one up to you. Ganer and Yua then depart, but Yua comes
back and says, "You might have a dream about mom too!" So either take a
nap or return to the village, it's up to you. When you return no one in
the village recognizes Ryu! Head to the church to find father Hulk (What
happened to father Ganer!) who tells you that you're welcome to stay.
Ryu wakes up to find a young thief stealing a candle. You'll have a
short conversation about moving to a bigger town where you can steal.
The thief, Bow, then asks you,
"Are you going to stay here?"
Yes No
Pick Yes because Bow will join you anyway. Bow joined the group! Next,
sneak out of the village by exiting through the gate a man was guarding
during the day. You will find it raining so take shelter in the
northwest cave. When you enter it's pitch black, so Bow uses the candle
he stole. Now you're set! You soon find yourself following a tail that
soon leads to a monster, Barubary!

Strategy: None, Barubary's impossible to beat. Just let him kill you.
Like I said before, there's no way in hell you can defeat him. After he
kills you the introduction begins:
It was like waking from a long dream...
But, now his father and sister have disappeared and no one recognizes
him...
He dreamt of a horrifying demon who ripped his heart and body apart...
But it remains just a dream. Yet, the vision remains strong. Deep
Within the corners of his mind, he hears it calling.
A different world...
A world of silence...
A world of darkness...
He moves toward it, feeling both fear and exhilaration. He succumbs and
the darkness welcomes him.
"You are the one!" The demon screeches. Reaching deep within his own
heart, he realizes that it is true. Then, in that moment, reality
washes away and the dream begins to take shape...

Ten years later...(you're still at level 1!) You start off asking the
elder to provide you with work. He finally agrees and the work is to
find a pet! Bow refuses this until he meets the pet's owner, Mina. So
once again you're off, just don't forget the LifePl from the shelf in
the elder's room because it's expensive to buy. Exit the Rangers' Guild
to Hometown. You can rest in you're room or pay 10 coins for the Inn per
night. I would recommend you stay away from the Armory for a while, as
you'll not have the money.

At the easternmost part of the town is a Dragon Statue that will save
your journey (game). Now exit the town and level up in the fields to
around level 5 or so. Try to go for the Gongheads because per one of
those equals eight experience points. Now that you've level'd up a bit,
go southest of Township to...
Location: Mt. Fubi
Party: Ryu, Bow
Level: 5 and up
Enemies: Gongheads, Widows, Leeches, Corpses, S.Goblins
Items: HelpBL
Go a little northwest in the mountain to an opening where there is a
healing fountain. You should level up here to around 6 or so. Watch out
for the widows for they have some pretty nasty poison attacks, so use
Bow's CurePsn. Now proceed through the mountain until you come across...
Boss: Palo, Peach, and Puti (Harpy Sisters)
HP: around 60 each
Obtain: 150 exp. and 27 coins
Party: Ryu and Bow
Difficulty: *****(5)/ **********(10)
Est. battle time: 5 to 7 minuets
Strategy: First, they will start arguing over Ryu by attacking each
other at 10 HP each. Now have Bow cast Def-Up on Ryu because he is the
one they will continue to attack. Next, just pound away on them with
physical attacks and use Bow's Cure1 on Ryu. Try killing them in this
order to make it easier: Palo, Peach, Puti.
After defeating the sisters proceed through the mountain until you come
across a rock. Move it out of the way and you'll see a little humorus
scene. Go once again in the mountain, collect the treasures, until you
meet Azursa who's a hunter. You can proceed out by going south and then
west. Once out of the mountain go to the run down house on the map.
Enter to find pests everywhere! You'll then engage in battle with six
pests. Not hard, one attack kills one pest. After killing them the
mother ship comes to rescue them!
Boss: Roach

Obtain: 64 exp. and 12 coins
Party: Ryu, Bow
Difficulty: ***(3)/**********(10)
Est. battle time: 3 minutes
Strategy: Not hard at all, just continue to hit him around five times or
so and the disgusting bug will be out of you're way. Also he may
resurrect after you kill him once for a few more rounds of battle.
Niro, the owner of the house, asks if you're hungery. It seems he's
having pig. Bow asks to examine the collar and discovers the pig is
actually Suzy! Take Suzy back to Hometown. You find out Mina is
returning to Windia. Then the super generous Elder rewards you with 500
coins! Great job! Exit the Ranger Guild and Bow will ask,
"Lets get some rest."
Yes No
Choose yes to go rest. There will be a scene while Ryu is sleeping. A
man named Kilgore comes in with more work! It's a proposition to go take
back an item called [The Magic Hood] from a man named Trout who stole
it. Bow accepts, without waking up Ryu.
Location: Hometown (night)
Party: Ryu
Level: 6 and up

Ryu wakes up to find that his pal Bow is charged of unarmed robbery!
Walk around town and talk to some locals. After a while you'll come
across a batwomen. Ignore her and go to Kilgore's mansion. Talk to him
and he'll tell you that it's his fault Bow is in trouble and asks you to
protect him. Go back to your room and Bow will be in there. He will ask
you if you believe that he stole [The Magic Hood] so naturally pick no.
Bow will then tell you his side of the story and how the batwomen is the
real thief. Just then a solider will knock on your door. Bow cunningly
hides in a trashcan while the Soldier interrogates Ryu. After the
soldier departs, Bow has the idea that Ryu should take him to the
hideout, until Ryu can prove his innocence. Exit the house and talk to
the soldier to the south he'll ask you something like,
"What are you holding?"

Whichever one you choose he'll allow you to pass. (Note: Bow will not be
capable of battle during this time). You know the route, so enter Mt.
Fubi and proceed to the hideout. Bow will explain everything to Niro,
but Niro will only cooperate if you provide him with food and
construction labor while Ryu tries to prove Bow's innocence. Niro
suggests going to Coursiar to question the townsfolk there. So it looks
like you're off to...

Level: 6 and up
Enemies: Devilkids, Biruburus, Eatermens.
Items: Smoke, Herb, Bum's sCL
On the road to Coursiar, the enemies can be extremely tough. So make
sure to be at least at level 7 and have Ryu's Cure1 spell because it is
very useful. Coursiar is due north of the bridge, which is northeast of
Mt. Fubi. When you arrive you will find an inn, so heal up there if
you've had a though time getting here. Also I HIGHLY recommend you
purchase a RangerCL that raises Ryu's defense by six units. (Reminder: *
indicates suggested equipped armor/weapons/shields.)

Next, wait until night and visit the Pub to the east of Coursiar. You
will meet a huge armadillo man named Rand. He tells you the tickets are
sold out. But you can still compete if you compete in Baba's (a
combatants) place. So now head to TagWoods where he is said to dwell.
Location: Tagwoods
Party: Ryu
Level: 7 and up
Enemies: BugBears, Docadens, and Harpys
Items: 100 coins, Herb, Gold, Smoke
This place can be hard but it is also very efficient to level up here. I
should note there are some worthwhile treasures here as well. First go
to the logtower northwest, climb up it and the trolley will take you
north. Exit this tower and head east to the next log tower that takes
you east. Finally exit this tower and proceed west and then south to a
little miniature maze where at the end lies...
Boss: Baba
HP: 180
Obtain: 150 exp. and 100 coins
Difficulty *****(5)/*********** (10)
Party: Ryu
Est. battle time: 5 minuets or less
Strategy: Not to terribly hard if you've got the RangerCL and The
BronzeHT. Continue to pound away at him until your hp decreases to
around 25 or so, because on occasion he feels the need to strike twice.
After 4 or 5 regular hits and a special he'll be all washed up.
After you defeat him, Baba admits to being weak so he tells you to take
his place. Following that he gives you his axe! So head out of Tagwoods
collecting any treasures you may have missed and return back to good ol'
Coursiar.
Location: Coursiar/ Coliseum
Party: Ryu
Level: 8 and up
Enemies: none
Items: Herb, Smoke, Bum's sCL, 1000 coins
Arrive at Coursiar during night and head into the Pub. Talk to Rand and
he now thinks you're Baba! Leave the Pub and go to the Coliseum. Proceed
to the right path to find an attendant. She says you have to pass a test
in the middle of the room. Here's goes nothing...
Boss: Dir.HR
HP: 160
Obtain 169 exp. and 1 coin
Party: Ryu
Difficulty: ******(6)/ **********(10)
Est. battle time: 4 minuets
Strategy: Not to hard, the Dir will say (.EDUCATION...HOBBY...TALENT...)
and then slap you. He's not too hard, just attack and heal when needed.
After you win you will pass the exam. The attendant will tell you to go
to the manager's room to the right. Proceed, and the manager Augus, will
explain the fight to you. Supposedly he is going to shoot poisoned
arrows at the opponent! He tells you that you will be more then
motivated when you see you're pay. Exit, and take the left route to
Ryu's, I mean BABA's locker room. DO NOT TALK TO THE GUARD, instead take
the 1000 Z and exit to the bank and store it. When you come back talk to
the guard and he will leave. A little later Rand will come in and Ryu
will explain what is going to happen. So Rand has this brilliant idea
for you to give him the 1000Z to buy two antidotes for Ryu and Katt.
Like I said earlier that's a rip-off from hell as one costs 12 Z and he
won't give you the change. Since its in the bank give him the money you
don't have 0 Z, and he will buy them anyway! It seems Katt does not
believe Rand so you are going to have to knock her out. Once Rand leaves
proceed to the door to the north and its battle time!
Boss: Katt
HP: 240
Obtain: 200 exp. and 80 coins.
Party: Ryu
Difficulty*******(7)/**********(10)
est. battle time. 5-10 minuets
Strategy: Relatively hard. Katt attacks at around 12 hp each and has a
slam attack that does 20 or so damage. She will also taunt you, which
will decrease your strength by 97% or so, so use that time to heal. It
will take a while to beat her but like you know, that's the name of the
game.
After you knock her out QUICKLEY save her, or she will be unable to
battle against Augus. You wake up in the inn with Katt apologizing to
you for not believing you. But now you have to concentrate on whooping
Auguse's butt! I recommend you go to TagWoods and level up Katt to nine
and Ryu to ten so you will be prepared. Also buy Katt a SteelAR and
HexedST. Now head to the Coliseum to Auguse's room. Rand will be there
confronting him. All of a sudden Augus turns into a monster after
speaking of some god!
Boss: Augus
HP: 480
Obtain: 300 exp. and 300 coins
Party: Ryu, Rand, Katt (if you saved her)
Difficulty: ********.5(8.5)/**********(10)
Est. battle time: 7-12 minuets
Strategy: Augus is one tough cookie! Your continuing strategy should
have Katt and Ryu attack and Rand heal. Of course there is an exception,
often it will say, "Augus is saving strength!" And after one round he
unleashes one, sometimes two brutal attacks that take off around 50 HP
each! Also this is the only part in the game where I believe Rand's Wake
ability comes in handy so use it.
Once you defeat him Katt asks to come with you to the hideout, as does
Rand. So proceed to the hideout where you explain everything to Bow. He
agrees to let Rand stay and help, but believes Katt may be a problem. So
Katt will come with you to find the thief. Rand mentions something about
a girl with wings at M. School...
Location: M.School/ J.Hideout
Party: Ryu, Katt
Level 9 and up
Enemies: Ghoul, Trickster, Hood, Bloodskr, and Willowisp
Items: SilverDR, Luckcndy, 100 coins, 1000 coins
You should know that M. School is located in Hometown so head over
there. When Ryu and Katt arrive there seems to be a 3:11 in progress!
You will see two jokers break into the gate, but a woman with black
wings disposes of them with attack magic! You may now proceed into M.
School. Head up the stairs to the right room where you find the women,
Nina talking to Yuji the headmaster of M. School. Once again the jokers
come into the school to tell Nina that they have kidnapped her sister
Mina! Mina, of course, is the woman you retrieved the pig Suzy for. Nina
is forced to come with them if she wants to free Mina.
J. Hideout
J. Hideout is located northwest of the "look out for hoodlums" sign.
Once you enter Mt. Rocko you will encounter a Hood. Dispose of him, and
head to the opening farthest northeast. Proceed in and the hood will ask
you the following question:
"What.... are you an acquaintance of the boss?.. Then tell me the boss'
nephew's name!"

The correct answer is Pain. If you get it incorrect you must battle him
and press the switch to lower the gate yourself. Proceed further and a
joker will tell you the switch to the gate is inside the hole. Depending
on whom you put in front they will be poisoned. You must now confront
the hood and the P.Spider. Go into the next section of the cave. It will
contain Luckcndy and SilverDR. Equip the SilverDR on Ryu to replace the
BronzeSD, which increases his attack power from 51 to 57. Head into the
next room and proceed up the stairs. The jokers' main hall is here.
There is a Hood here, so destroy him. The cinema will show the hoodlums
further harassing Nina. Katt convinces Ryu to help her. You firstly will
confront four hoods, they are not that hard just continue to attack.
With them out of your way Nina buries Joker in rocks with magic. Nina
will thank you but not before Joker returns!

Strategy: This boss is the toughest you've faced yet. He has a psn.
attack that does an average twenty-one HP damage as well as the psn.
status change at the same time. As usual attack with Ryu, heal with Katt
occasionally, and have Nina use Tornado whenever possible. If Katt is
killed, and you have no LifePL's, then heal with Nina using a
combination of Herbs and HelpBLs. It will take around 20 regular hits at
30 hp each to take Joker out.
At the end of the fight Nina thanks you and prepares to embark to
Windia. But before she goes, Katt volunteers her and Ryu to accompany
them. Nina, Ryu, and Katt are off to Windia! Windia is northwest of
Tagwoods and there are some formable foes like the W. Bear so watch out!

When you arrive the guard refuses you're presence, until Mina presents
herself. He explains why a maze is built around the castle/town. The
maze isn't that hard just go left, left, left, down, right, down, and up
the stairs in the room. You meet the queen. Who thanks you for bringing
back Mina, but strangely avoids Nina. You are escorted out of the castle
to Sten's Magic Show! After failing miserably at getting a date with
Katt or Nina, repays you with joining the group! ** Sten joined the
group! ** Now I recommend you blow all you're money at Windia's Armory
as it will help you out. I am assuming you have 5000 Z or more.

Windia's item shop has the exact same contents as Coursiar's. Now think
about going to Captain, which is due west of here. Go outside and level
your party to around 13 or so. Make sure Ryu is at 14. Also make
absolutely sure Nina learns S.Boom, because it is the most useful spell
you can get a hold of now. When you're finished proceed to Captain…
Location: Captain/Well.

Before heading into Captain, head north into the woods. There is a hut
there with a nanny. Proceed to her shelf and take the LifePL. Head back
to Captain and talk to the locals. It seems some kids have become
trapped in a well! Go into the well and investigate. You meet a man
named Ray. Ray kills a creon( nasty little suckers with an impressive
hp)and asks you to help. You'll be forced to accept, just before being
attacked by a creon! Kill it, and Ray will lead you into a room where he
is faced with a creon. He tells you to go on without him. In the next
room are turtles in which will transport you. Ryu and the gang will only
have to fight one creon here. I suggest you take the second turtle to
get the Van.Ext, which heals 120 HP of your whole party. When you get to
the little squirt you are confronted by a Terrapin!
Boss: Terrapin

Difficulty: ********.1(8.1)/ **********(10)
Est. battle time: 5-15 minuets
Strategy: This Boss's toughness depends on your party's level. If all
are level 12 or 13 and above you should be relatively fine. If not I
suggest you continue to level up until you meet my guidelines. Just
stock up on HelpBl's and Antidotes, because Terrapin has a poison attack
that affects all party members. For Nina, continue to use S.Boom and
heal when appropriate. For Sten, use his bomb spell as many times as
possible, and attack when his AP dwindles. Katt will be the designated
healer, as she will counter if she is attacked. Ryu, of course, will
pound down Terrapin as much as possible. If Ryu has an attack of around
60, A special attack can do around 115! Good Luck!
After he is defeated go back to Ray and discuss what's happened. Soon a
flood will almost washes you away but, Ray uses a protect spell. Now you
must save all of the villagers in the well. Press the "action button"
when you find one. You will have to battle them if they have a cruion or
something on their face. Never attack the villager but rather the
cruion. You know you succeeded when you destroy 5 cruions. After you're
done return to Ray and he'll ask:
"Save all the villagers?"

Duh, pick whichever one pertains to you. Once you insert Yes, Ray will
release the force field! Worry not, you wash up safe on top of the well.
Ray thanks you and wishes to reward one of your party members. So take
him to the place where all the "members" meet. Better known as the
hideout! ( Wonder how Bow and Rand are doing?) Head back to the hideout
by putting Sten in the front and using his reach ability to cross the
cliffs. Proceed to the hideout. After talking to Ray he will ask you
upon whom he shall administer the Renew spell on ( if you did not save
all the villagers from the well it's cure2). I always pick Nina, you may
be thinking she does attack magic not recovery magic. Lets think about
your options:
Ryu: His AP will be tied up doing dragon spells.
Rand: He will learn the renew spell anyway.
Bow: Refer to Rand.
Katt: Has terribly low AP.
Sten: Only has enough AP to execute it once.
Nina: Correct choice. She should have enough AP to execute it eight
times by now.
After that continue back to Captain. Put Ryu in the front of the party
and talk to the women, Sana, standing in between the inn and the house.
She says something about borrowing Ryu. You open your eyes to find
yourself in a hut. Sana and granny explain how to join shamans and other
peoples' powers. Step into the middle of the circle and it begins! Sana
has wakened the dragon power within Ryu. Unfortunately, You burn down
their house, as well as the forest. So take Sana and granny to the
hideout. After Bow announces that he has finished their room, Sana and
granny take it. They then demand a carpenter to build a joining room,
its looks you're off to Captain again. When you arrive you can either
pick the ''normal house''(I did) ,the log tower house, or the house
farthest left. I recommend the normal house because it comes with the
cook that makes wiseballs for close to nothing. Next stop by the item
shop and pick up 10 smokes or so. Now that's finished you can take the
boat in Captain to the other side. Exit the boat until you come across
all of these frogs at a pond. Then one gigantic one emerges from the
water. He says that the witch has put a curse on him and asks you to
help. Looks like you're off to...

The witch's tower is north of the water city Simafort. I suggest you
level up to 15 or so and rest in the open where that man tends to a
fire. When you arrive put Ryu in the front and you will be confronted by
a series of enemies. Defeat them and I suggest you use all your smoke
here because it becomes extremely annoying to have to fight every single
enemy. Now go to the right door when you enter. Also I once encountered
three monopeds and I received a FireRG that increases Nina's attack to
fifteen more then she had! When you come across six lifts take the one
furthest left (The one furthest right leads to Seso the water shaman who
is not accessible now). You will arrive shortly to the one and only...
Boss: Nimufu

Obtain: 1600 exp. and 400 coins
Party: Ryu, Katt, Nina, Rand (suggested)

Est. battle time: 5 minutes
Strategy: I did not find Nimufu to be all that hard because two of my
characters were sleeping and I finished her with brute force alone.
Anyway she does have excellent magic. Have Nina cast S. Boom and Renew
if anyone goes down. In the first two rounds also have Nina cast Def.
Down and Pwr.Down on Nimufu as it works 80% of the time. Have everyone
else unleash physical attacks on Nimufu and she will soon expire. Also
you may want to use one of your dragon spells to make the battle
shorter. If you finish her quick enough you will receive the WizardRG!
After she loses, the party discovers that a woman must kiss the fat frog
to release the spell! Head back to the woods and put either Nina or Katt
in the front. Depending on which one you pick there will be a different
cinema. The frog, Jean, has returned to his most unusual form. The frog
prince says you have been kind and will take you back to SimaFort. Now
is the time to get the Chop-Chop technique so check my side quest
section. Also before you go to Simafort there is a waterfall you can use
to take Ryu down to a cave where the old man will give Ryu his second
set of dragon powers.

You will arrive at SimaFort with Jean. But it seems he is an imposter!
The real prince will ask you to leave immediately. Do so and you will
meet Penelope outside and there will be a long ass cinema. Ryu wakes up
in the inn after Penelope had thrown him and the party in the water. She
will apologize and ask you to take care of the imposter, after giving
you gills that allow you to enter water for a designated amount of time.
Don't forget to grab the Dluxpole. You'll probably want to visit the
Armory.

Make your way north and continue until you arrive at the back of the
fort. Proceed down the stairs and you will find Jean in the cell. You
will have to fight the guard to get to him. Petape will come down and
you brainstorm the ideas to prove he is the real price. It seems he has
a royal ring, but Nimufu has it. Leave Simafort but do not go to Witches
Tower. Instead go to the wildcat café. There will be a ton of witches
there. Nimufu is in the bathroom. Soon you will discover she dropped it
in the toilet! Proceed down the toilet and you will find it in the
water. Return to Simafort with the ring and Jean will insert the throne
room. Jean shows the imposter the ring, but the imposter has one of his
own! Then Petape will have Jean challenge the imposter in a cooking
contest. Jean will tell you he must have the most delicate ingredients
to cook a extraordinary meal. So you must obtain three items, worm meat,
cockroach meat, and the Golden Fly. Exit the room and go up the stairs
on the left. Proceed up the long flight of stairs until you come across
Tata, it seems he is thirsty. Go back down to the pool where his
girlfriend is and she will rush to his rescue. Return to Tata the same
way as you proceeded to before. The guard wishes to reward you. Tata
will ask,
"Is there anything I can do?"

He will give you a windmill key that unlocks door to a chest with 1000Z
with whichever answer you choose. Now go down to the basement by using
the buckets.

First, go into the room at the end of the path and you will be met by
the Gold Fly. You will fight it and after a few rounds it will flee.
Continue following the path until you walk across the wooden bridge and
are confronted by...

Strategy: Have Ryu cast one of his dragon attacks, while Nina should
restore his AP so Ryu can perform another dragon attack. Rand should do
the healing, and Katt should perform normal physical attacks. Just make
sure he doesn't put too many characters asleep and Giant Worm will be
down for the count.
Now you will receive the worm meat! The fly will now show up for a funny
little scene and the leave. Follow the fly by proceeding back to room
where you first met the gold fly and this time take the north door. In
here you will find only blue cockroaches that aren't edible so fight
your way through them. After the second blue cockroach room you will
come across...

Strategy: Immediately have Ryu cast a dragon attack. Then use a Wfruit
on Ryu to have him cast another. Katt should be attacking while Rand is
healing. Nina should use S.Boom frequently and if a party member falls,
have her use the Renew spell on him/her. This battle should not be too
hard just watch out for G. Cockroach's physical attack.
Congratulations, you caught the cockroach! Now heal and get ready to
battle the toughest enemy you've faced yet!
Boss: Gold Fly
HP: 600
Obtain: 1560 exp. and 400 coins
Party: Ryu, Rand, Katt, Nina (suggested)
Difficulty: *******.5(7.5)/**********(10)
Est. battle time: 5-8 minutes
Strategy: Gold Fly has a very high attack damage so you're going to have
to take him down fast! Have Ryu use one dragon attack while everyone
else attacks. This should be enough to take him out before he attacks
and counter-attacks. Just finish him fast!
Now you have the three ingredients so hurry, and rush to Jean as fast as
you can. Jean will thank you and ask you to wait in the dining room. Do
so and the taste test will begin. It seems that Petape is displeased
with the decision so she threatens to blow up the castle! Push the lever
in the bathroom one floor down. Go left to a room, which you have not
yet explored yet. You find Jean on the floor saying that Petape is in
the next room. When you enter the imposter is really a monster who wants
you dead!
Boss: Kuwadora
HP: 1,650
Obtain: 4800 exp. and 800 coins

Strategy: Kuwadora has a shimmy attack that does massive attack damage
to all party members so watch out. Have Ryu use his dragon attacks while
Katt replenishes his AP with Wfruit. Rand and Nina should heal members
whose HP drops under 50 HP.
Kuwadora now threatens to blow everyone up if he must die. Jean comes in
and explains that it is where the legendary sword is placed rather then
an explosive device. You can take the SoleSD if you desire. He thanks
you and he and Petape depart. You are now transported to the thrown room
where you are thanked and awarded. It seems Jean wants to join Ryu and
his friends. Jean joined the group! Before you leave take Patty, the
real thief who is attending to the cockroaches, to Hometown so Bow can
be in the clear. You may also want to go to the treasure room where you
can collect the treasures there.

First take all of your money and put it in the bank. Take Patty to
Trout's mansion to clear Bow's good name. Patty will now accuse Trout of
keeping thieves in his basement to increase his fortune. Trout will ask
you to search the house so do so. When you find nothing Trout will ask
you to leave. Now Kilgore comes and asks for you to bring Bow back so e
can apologize for the mess he has caused. Go to the Dragon Statue and
get Bow. When you enter the mansion put Bow in front and talk to
Kilgore. He apologizes and rewards you with a feast. Bow now volunteers
to stop Trout. Although this time Bow asks,
"Do you want to come with me?

Pick yes to make this fight against Trout much easier. You start out by
fighting a Footman, the only enemies in Trout's mansion. You may want to
battle until Bow reaches lv.10. Now make your way to the basement. When
you find nothing there come back up to find that the mirror is actually
a door to the real basement! Proceed down to find the thieves and Patty
locked up. After a short chat, Trout asks Bow to work for him. After Bow
refuses Trout turns into a monster!

Strategy: Remember when I told you to put your money in the bank? Well,
that's because whenever Trout strikes he will take about 12 coins from
you! Aside from that just have Ryu cast one dragon attack and Bow attack
once to put Trout down for good.
Patty thanks you and gives Bow back the Magic Hood. Back at Trout's
place they discuss what is going to happen to the world. Bow
appropriately asks,
"Do you think something bad is going to happen?"

Whichever one you choose will have the same cinema. Silvia will now ask
you to come to the guild immediately with her. It seems that there is a
large demon in Gate. Could it be Barubary? It seems you need the help of
the Grass Man to find out why the forests died. Your next destination
though is Whale Cape, which is southeast of SimaFort. Use Jean to
navigate down the stream until you arrive there. Make sure you have Katt
in the group. Go inside and buy some cakes if you wish. Talk to the man
and he'll thank you for saving him from Trout and moves out of the way.
Go outside and enter the hole. Once inside use Katt's field ability to
break the fence and enter the second hole to find a guy named Maiyora.
It seems grandpa, the whale, is sleeping because of a stone doll in his
stomach. Better investigate...

Just continue to go to the northernmost door in each room and it will
eventually lead to the doll you're looking for. Just watch out for the
Fastman in pairs as they can cast S. Boom. If you've been following my
instructions then you've probably come to...
Boss: Munmar
HP: 950
Obtain: 3450 exp. and 2000 coins
Party: Ryu, Katt, Nina, Rand

Est. battle time: 3 min.
Strategy: Munmar will be using a sleep attack many times throughout this
battle that can put all members to sleep at once. First have Ryu cast a
dragon attack if he is not put to sleep. Next just have everyone who is
not asleep focus all their attacks on Munmar until he's dead.
When you defeat the "nightmare," Grandpa the whale doesn't wake up. Make
your way to the front where his Adam's apple is and use Kat to hit it.
Grandpa will now wake up and thanks you for waking him up. Go to the old
man who lives at the ocean shore and get Grandpa's bell, which will
summon Grandpa whenever you're at the ocean shores to ride him. Now you
can finally go to Tunlan where the Grass Man lives in the circus nearby.
SECTION TWO: CARNIVAL TO INFINITY
Location: Carnival

When you arrive at the circus you discover the grass man will be fed to
a demon due to popular demand. Pay the people 100 coins and check it
out. The Chief plans on feeding the Grass Man to a demon. He will
reconsider if you bring him an Uparupa or 900,000 coins. We'll 900,00
coins is out of the question so go to the Monster Hunters' house to get
some food for the Uparupas.

When you arrive none of the monster hunters are home but there is a
diary. Read it and continue to the back of the forest. There you will
meet the girl. She wants to fight other then sing!

Strategy: Ok, start out by using a dragon attack from Ryu. Have another
party member, preferably Katt, use Wfruits on him every time he does
this. Rand and Bow should either be using there healing magic or healing
items to recover other members HP.
Now that you've defeated these pests use Grandpa to swim into a Water
Cavern that is located under the bridge, which is south of Coursiar.
Don't forget to pick the five Owlfruits before you leave.
Location: Uparupas' Cave
Party: Ryu, Rand, Sten, Nina
Level: 20 and up
Enemies: Arubans, Sireen, Stinger, Uparupa

The enemies in here are tough so be cautious. Keep making your way into
the cave picking up the treasures as you proceed. Soon you will come
across three hunters who say that the Uparupas are too ferocious to
catch. The next room has no enemies except the Uparupas. The way to
catch them is to place the Owlfruit in front of their hole and wait for
them to come out. When an Uparupa swallows it quickly approach it. Only
one in this cavern can be caught is the one farthest right on the
highest floor of this cavern. After you defeat it you can either catch
it or let it go. I suggest you let it go because it leaves you a
BusterSD. Also, you have to fight the Chief even if you catch it. Head
back to the carnival.

Pay the fee to enter the carnival. Go back and talk to the chief and
he'll ask,
"Bring money or Uparupa?"

Choose that option, and the Chief becomes mad and turns into a monster!
Boss: M.C. Tusk

Obtain: 5400 experience points and 1300 coins
Party: Ryu, Rand, Sten, Nina

Est. battle time: 3 minutes
Strategy: Start out by using Sten's Flame attack on M.C Tusk to take
around 120 HP off him. Now have Ryu use a dragon attack followed by a
Wfruit from Nina. Repeat this process, healing only when M.C Tusk "gets
mad" and unleashes a brutal attack on the whole party.
Now that he's dead, Spar will release himself from the cage and tells
you to go to the Great Wise Tree. Put Spar in front of the party and go
down to the forest south of Simafort. There should be a large tree in
the middle of it. The Great Wise Tree will tell you that he forgot what
he was supposed to tell you and asks that you go to Tunlan to get the
Therapy Pillow. When you arrive there a young man says you can't
communicate without a flute. He also says there is a famous one in
Highfort. Next stop...

Party: Ryu, Sten, Bow, Rand
Level: 20 and up
Enemies: D. Brnger, C. Sludge, Pharaoh, Soulflick, Basilisk, Ralooba

Highfort is located on the southwast of Township. Once you arrive use
Sten to swing you're way to the entrance. When you enter you will learn
much more about Sten's past. You will now control only three members
after Sten goes to catch up. Go to the center of the castle to find
Shupkay during a War Plan meeting. He discovers Ryu and his friends and
lures them into a pit trap. Now you will have control of Sten who is
worried about them. First, go to the basement to get the treasures. I
strongly suggest that you stop by the Item shop and then save. Follow
the path Ryu did before. Halfway there Trubo catches up with Sten,
insults Sten, then challenges you in battle! He's not hard just heal
after every time your HP lowers under 50. After Sten beats Trubo they
join forces to take down Shupkay for good. Trubo tells you to go left
but follow him to the recovery spring then save at the statue. Now
proceed to your planned position. Keep proceeding through the basement
until you come across Shupkay. It seems he was expecting Sten and used
the old pit trap trick. Sten is now rejoined with his friends after
falling in the same room they did. Keep following the maze until you
come across three transporters. Take the middle one to be transported to
a wounded Trubo. It seems he can't get past the door. Again, I will not
be classifying the Portal as a boss because it is far too easy. Just
cast two dragon attacks in a row and the Portal will be defeated.
Proceed through the door and through the last of the maze until you come
across Shupkay and the princess.
Boss: Shupkay

Obtain: 7223 experience points and 1250 coins
Party: Ryu, Sten, Bow, Rand
Difficulty: ***(3)/**********(10)
Est. battle time: 3 minutes
Strategy: You think Shupkay would be hard for a demon! Anyway, follow
the same routine of dragon attack, Wfruit, and then healing. You
probably couldn't be killed by Shupkay if you tried.
Shupkay will now try to blow up the castle, kind of like Petape. Trubo
has this brilliant idea to bang on the controls and, of course, it ends
up working. The castle ends up crashing and Sten stays behind to work
the elevator. Everyone thinks he's dead until you meet up with at the
entrance. But hey, the princess gave you the Famous Flute! Time to head
to Tunlan! When you arrive Ryu and crew find out that the queen is
overweight and can only be saved by Gedd. He was banished to a small
island northwest of Hometown.

When you arrive go into the first cave you see. In here put either Katt
or Nina in the front of the party, because Gedd will only talk to pretty
girls. After some convincing Gedd will accompany you to Tunlan. After
further research Gedd will realize he's needs your help again. He will
give you a letter to take back to his assistant in Mt. Maori. When you
return to Mt. Maori the assistant will tell you to pick a specific
mushroom, so memorize it. Make your way to the top of the mountain using
Sten to reach across the stakes. When you reach the top the mushroom you
want is on the little island on the pond. Take it to the assistant and
he will give you the mirror. So it looks like you're going back to...

Bring the equipment to Gedd and he'll explain what he is planning to do.
He intends on shrinking your party and sending them into the queen to
fight the fatty. Once your inside you MUST defeat every monster in every
chamber. You will know when Green Gremlin on your Menu Screen is
sleeping. When you have defeated all the enemies Gedd will thank you
plus Granny will give you the Therapy Pillow! Time to head back to
Gandoroof and bring Spar.

Enter Gandoroof's Mind, and you will see the old Inheart town on the
west. Buy some armor if you like. Go a little east and you will come
across Middle-aged Inheart. Here you can learn many legends about
various things. Continue north until you come across young Inheart. Here
in the inn you can recruit Barbose to Township for his great spells. Now
stock up on HelpBL's and other things. Head back to the first town that
turns out to be...

This place will drive you crazy. You can only see three feet in front of
you and this is the most active monster site in Bof2. When you enter
make your way to the old man farthest north. He will escort you to the
entrance for 100 coins so pay him. Pound your way through the enemies
here reviving all downed members with LifePls or Nina's Renew spell.
It's only three floors before you get to a room filled with old men. The
room after this contains a boss so heal. When you enter the old man says
he was the one who destroyed the peoples memory in Gate!

Strategy: All Aruhamel knows to do is make you forget you magic so
beating him should be extremely easy. Is it just me or are the enemies
getting easier as the game progresses?
Now that you're done with him, have Nina cast Exit to leave the dungeon.
Go to the young Inheart and talk to the boy at the bank to leave the
mind. Now you can ask Gandaroof many questions if you wish. Now go to
Fog Valley, which is south of here. The guy says that it is too foggy to
pass through. To clear up the fog you must go to Sky Tower, which is
located in the water west of Gate.

When you arrive the man will ask you if you're ready to go in. Your
destination here is to get to the Wind Shaman. From the entrance go
west, north, up the stairs, south, east, up the stairs, north,
northwest, up the stairs, up the stairs, and up the stairs again. You
will meet Spoo the Wind Shaman. She returns the weather to normal and
heads to Granny. You may want to collect some of the equipment here. Now
you can head back to Fog Valley. Pass through the valley and go south
to...

When you arrive put Rand in the front of the party as its his hometown.
Talk to some locals to find out more about Rand. When you're finished
enter Rand's mom, Daisy's, house to find her throwing out a member of
St. Eva! Enter the house again and Daisy says she expects you to plow
the fields! Just defeat all of the things in the field WITHOUT using
magic whatsoever. After you do this, go to Namanda on the hill and pray
for a good harvest. Then donate at the shrine twenty times in a row.
Congrats, you have just followed all the steps of getting the Earth
Shaman for now. Head back to Daisy's house to find the same messenger
that was giving Daisy a hard time. Rand will get upset and engage the
messenger with force. Rand will defeat him in at least five rounds. Ray
will then come and take the messenger away. You need to find a way to
fly if you want to defeat ST. Eva. What better place then Windia?

Put Nina in the front of the group and talk to the guard in the front of
the castle. He will say no, but Hina will come out and allow Nina in. Go
to the king's bedroom and talk to him. There will be a flashback scene
that explains why Nina was abandoned. Nina will ask Gramps to release
the basement gate. He agrees, so proceed to the basement. First, I
suggest you get the StormRG by taking the north corridor in the basement
other then the west one. When you acquire it retrace your steps and take
the west corridor that leads to the test. If you are ready to take the
test say yes. Now you will only have control of Nina in this place. Try
to avoid the stones and make your way to the northernmost room. You also
might want to pick up the WindRB and In here to become the Great Bird
you have to defeat Nina's great, great, great, great grandmother and she
will give you the mark of the wing! Exit and go talk to the king. It
seems Nina is really going to turn into a bird. There will now be a
scenario where Mina steals the Mark of The Wing while Nina is sleeping!
Go to the ceremonial room and there will be a cool cinema. Mina turns
herself into The Great Bird! Now that you can fly, head to Evari, which
is south of Coursair.

So this is Evari! Talk to the people to learn a little about St. Eva.
Now when you try to leave, you find out you can't! Talk to the people
and they are saying it's cold. Go to the house in the center of the city
and talk to Claris. She shows you a way to get out through the toilet.
This place is tough! It will only take you a couple of minutes to get
through if you cast Smoke and jump down all the holes you see in this
maze. When you are through Ryu and the gang end up in an inn on the same
continent. Now go to Cotland, which is south of Farmland, like Claris
suggested.

Put Katt in the front of the group to break the rocks with her staff.
The guard will now let you pass. It seems all the people here are part
of a resistance against St. Eva. Go into the house and talk to Tiga. He
says that he cannot fight St. Eva right now, because he doesn't have any
money. He also tells you that his sponsor went to Thieves Tomb which is
located southwest of HighFort.

Go down the stairs from the first room. Let your party fall from one of
the moving holes in a room with face expressions as tiles. Misfortune
will come if you get an angry face such as poisoning. If you have a
smile good things will happen like getting money. A healthy face is a
recovery where the party will all regain full HP. With a strange
expression there is no telling of what will happen. What all this means
is when you step on one of these while triggering a battle, the emotion
of the face decides what happens to you. Make your way to the north
room. Release Patty by stepping on the right switch. Now follow her in
the other room. Examine the treasure to find a switch and then activate
it to find a passage to the real treasure. Inside is evidence you can
sell to raise money for the resistance. Cast Exit and head back to...

Go to Tiga's house and their will be a scene with Katt and Tiga. Tiga

another scene involving Katt and Tiga. In the morning it is time for you
to head to Bando, which is south of here. First, go to Township and
shaminize Nina as well as add Bow to your group.

You arrive at Bando with the unit there searching for Father Manson.
Katt gets mad and uncovers a passageway with her staff. Tiga,
unsurprisingly, sends Ryu's group. Go in and explore the room. Further
investigation leads to a confrontation with a Footman. Dispose of him
and proceed further. Go down the stairs to two levers. Stand on the left
tile once to reveal a chest with a SnakeST. Stand on the left lever two
times to reveal a room with four prisoners. Stand on the left lever
three times to reveal a room with two prisoners. Stand on the left lever
four times to reveal a room with stairs. Go down the stairs and proceed
north. You will now be in a grave room. Go to the center to find Father
Manson who will send three zombies at you. Kill them with a Missile
attack as well as physical hits. Manson now turns into a monster.

Strategy: Ok, this guy can be a pain in the ass. He can and will cast
Death many times throughout the battle so use LifePLs. It is also
appropriate to tell you that Necroman is immune to holy, so don't use
Angel! If you have many Wiseballs or WFruits I highly recommend that you
use them for Ryu's Dragon Attacks. Have Rand and Bow heal while Nina
uses her most powerful attack magic.
After the battle a chest that contains EvariRD appears in front of you.
You may now visit Evari without the fear of being kept there eternally!
You can now exit the basement, and don't worry the enemies are all gone.
When you exit it seems Father Mason is still alive! Naw, it's just Katt
and Tiga messing with you. You now must prepare to act as followers of
St. Eva. You can learn the teachings by donating at any church.

When you arrive immediately go to Claris's house. Talk to all the
resistance members to get a feel of what your up against. When you're
ready talk to Tiga. At the entrance of the Grand Church the members will
all be asked different questions. You Armored Monk will ask you,
"What is the real name of St. Eva's god?"

If you do not pick Evans you will have to fight the Armored Monk who
isn't hard. You may now enter the church. Wow! Look at all the people in
here. There will now be one of the best scenes in the game. Claris is
taken hostage and Tiga comes to save her. But it is in vain as Habaruku
kills both of them. Time to kick some St. Eva arse! Follow him to his
chambers. Habaruku summons Ray to kill you!

Strategy: All you have to do is pull of one Dragon Spell and Ray will
give it everything he has. Ryu will now have access to G. Dragon. Use it
and Ray will be defeated.
There is now a sad scene where Ray dies. Go up the stairs and follow the
path. On this floor flip the switch to release Daisy. Use Rand's roll
ability to take down the wall and proceed up the stairs. There are two
chests here so grab them and go out the east door. Now take out the wall
in this room by using Rand's roll ability once again. There will be a
scene where Rand sacrifices himself to save his friends but his mom does
instead. In this room grab the BlastKN and equip it on Rand. Go up the
stairs. Here is Habaruku and he'll ask,
"Would you like to quit now?"

Whichever one you pick you must fight his subordinates. Kill the (easy)
Archers and follow him. The coward will jump down the roof into the
basement. There are three ways to go. The northwest way leads to the
DnmdBR, The west way leads to the front of the church, and the northeast
way is the way you need to go. Take the RainbowRB and go up the stairs.
No enemies here, just a pain in the ass platform. I have substituted the
arrows for numbers that indicate the order of the correct stepping.

Strategy: Do not kill the old man if you want the "good" ending. Doing
so will give you the "lousy" ending. Instead have Ryu use his puppy
attacks on each individual Guardeye. All other members should be
healing. Go for the Guardeye on the old man's left side because it will
continually cast Cure3. Bow should cast DefupX, and Nina can cast
Freeze. Some people take the easy way out by casting G. Dragon, but
doing so kills the old man who has a vital role in the ending.
The old man will thanks you but is interrupted by a quaking noise. The
old man teleports you out of Evari safely. There will be a cinema. The
old man is Ganer! After you shed a tear or two you need to begin
preparing for the end.
Preparations
Solo the Earth Shaman: To get Solo you must have followed the guidelines
listed earlier in this FAQ. Head to FarmTown and she should be in the
fields you plowed not so long ago.
Seny the Holy Shaman: Head to Bando and enter the basement. When you
come across the room with the panels, step in the first room. Seny
should be here.
Night Rider Island: This island is located east of Evari. Here I suggest
you fight the Nightriders that give you a hearty amount of experience. I
also recommend you fight them to get the MedusaSH and the NoTwinRP.
Also, the most powerful armor shop is on this island. I suggest you buy
as many as you can.

Getting powerful equipment: Much of the powerful weapons will be in
Baretta's Armory in TownShip but you do not have access to it yet.
_EmpireSD_ To obtain this sword use the Great Bird to fly east of
Township on a strip of land where only the Great Bird can land. After
you fight an enemy a fishing spot will appear. In this fishing spot is a
chest that holds the most powerful weapon in BoF2.
Gaining experience: To gain sufficient experience you should either go
to Night Rider Island located east of Evari or go to Monster Island
located northeast of Captain. I suggest you bring Sten in his Fire/Wind
shaminized form so he can switch enemies if you run into K. Sludges.
Flying TownShip: To get Township to fly you need to examine the well in
Township. Ganer must be alive for this to work. Now head to Guntz and
enter the largest building. There is a passageway behind a bookcase that
you can enter. In this room is Eichci. Talk to her and she will head to
TownShip. Go to TownShip and talk to her. Ganer will now come in and
volunteer to work the machine. You can now fly TownShip! Beware though
it's VERY slow. When you've done all this get ready to revisit Gate.

Welcome back to Gate. Head to the back of the forest where you found Yua
all those years ago. Father Hulk should be there setting a bomb to
destroy the dragon which he believes is destroying the forest. His
theory is proved wrong when it is clear that the dragon was protecting
the town. Father Hulk needs to talk to Patty so exit Gate. You will not
have access to the Great Bird because of the demons. Have someone cast
Warp to CotLand. The guard tells you she went to a restaurant so warp to
Simafort and head to the café. Now, head to the Thieves Tomb. After that
head to the big house in TownShip. Patty should be there. Talk to her
and head back to Gate. There will be a scene. Hulk is Habaruku! It's no
wander he wants to fight.

Strategy: Overall Babaruku is not too hard. He does have some nasty

Floor#1: Head left from the door. You will be spiraling around until
you come down two flights of stairs. After the first stairs, head right
to get the ShinyBR. Come back and go down the second stairs that lead to
the second floor.
Floor#2: Here there are only two places you can go which lead to the
third floor. I suggest going through the door so you can acquire the
ShinyHT.
Floor#3: There are many treasures here but they are unavailable at the
moment. Simply follow the path and head down the stairs.
Floor#4: Nothing here but a path to the fifth floor.
Floor#5: Same as floor 4 but you're headed to the sixth floor.
Floor#6: Keep moving you're almost there! Well, maybe halfway there.
Sorry for getting you people all excited :+} Follow the path to the
seventh floor.
Floor#7: Continue through the strait forward path. Just watch out for
the Big Hands!
Floor#8: Wow, these floors are getting repetitive. Follow the direst
path.
Floor#9: Follow the path.
Floor#10: Ignore all other paths and head left and grab the ImmortalRG
and FinalKN on your way. Welcome to Dologany!

You will be welcomed to Dologany by the elder. You will learn a great
many things here. When you leave the building you will take control of
Valerie, Ryu's mom, many years ago. Say your good byes and return to the
elder. Valerie will now leave Dologany. There will now be a long cinema
explaining Ryu's past and what happened to Gate. At the end you will
again take control of Ryu. Save your game and have a rest. When you are
ready, head into the second part of Infinity.

Floor#1: Ignore all rooms and head for the only door here. Drink from
the alter and talk to all the Dragon Men. Now, talk to the one dressed
in red. He will take you to obtain the power of Anfini. Talk to all your
friends and then yourself. He will ask you whom you have chosen to
sacrifice. Keep saying you have chosen no one is worth the Anfini and
the power will be yours! Go back out and down to the second floor.
Floor#2: Head through the door and to the right. Head in this door and
down the ladder.
Floor#3: Go right and to the ladder.
Floor#4: There should be a transport here, take it. The door in front
of you will contain Barubary so heal! Barubary, the huge behemoth you
had to fight as a child is right in front of you!

Es. battle time: 15 minutes
Strategy: Ok, here we go. Start out by using G. Dragon with Ryu. Katt
and Rand should be healing while Nina uses Wiseballs on Ryu. After 1200
HP of damage to Barubary he will challenge Ryu to a one on one match. I
suggest you decline but if you're still pissed about what he did to you
as a kid then go for it. Use G. Dragon, heal and use Wiseballs for the
one on one fight. If you decline use the same strategy as at the
beginning.
Leave north and take a much needed save. Use the Dragon Spring and get
on the transporter. There's only one room that you're looking for here.
Go to the only northern door and prepare to face Ryu's destiny. Evan
will talk to you about his plans and kill each of your companions while
Ryu watches it all. Ryu will be binded now. You must move the control
pad around like crazy and he will be free. It is this time that Ryu
charges Evan in wild rage. When you fight Deathevn immediately use
Anfini. You will now have all your party members.

Strategy: Time to defeat God! Let me start out by saying that Ryu should
be the only means of attack throughout this fight. Rand should always
use Cure3 and Katt should use Wiseballs on Ryu along with Nina. It is
most likely that a party member will be killed by his death spell, which
will work 90% of the time so use a LifePl on them. Also Deathevn will
use this thing that erases ALL spells. When this happens please restrain
from throwing the controller at the screen because it will not affect
Deathevn. Don't worry, in time Deathevn will fall.
Now the ending credits will roll. The ending will be different depending
on whether you got TownShip to fly. I myself prefer the one where you
don't get TownShip to fly as it makes more sense. Anyway, I won't ruin
the ending for you. Congrats, you beat BoF2!

Q: Where is the MeowST?
A: In the lower levels of Infinity, you'll have to fight the Carms. It
took me killing around fifty of them suckers to get it.
Q: Where is Bleu?
A: First, go to the sand-hut southeast of Thieves Tomb. Talk to the
sprites, and the will tell you Bleu is out (don't forget to get the
Tolen in the back room). Next go to M. School in Hometown and talk to
the girl in the upper left room. There Bleu will be forcefully join the
group!
Q: Bow is a good healer but a bad attacker. Do you have any suggestions
on how to raise his offense/strength?
A: Yes, here is a recipe for Pwrfood. 3 ShaveIce=1 Pwrfood. You can
obtain ShaveIce by buying it at Guntz. Or just level him up, and
shamanize him.
Q: Where is Nightrider Island and Monster Island?
A: Monster Island is north of the monster hunters' house. And Nightrider
Island is east of Tunlan.
Q: I am in Captain and can't decide what houses to have built, help!
A: The most common is the "regular houses" because of the cook, as he
can cook Pwrfood and Wiseballs. You can get the loghouses, which are
good for looks, and you can use your Tolens for precious items. And the
fancy houses have a bar where you ca be told various things like how
long you have been playing.
Q: What would your party be for Infinity?
A: Ryu, Rand shamanized, Katt shamanized, and Nina shamanized. Make sure
they are at level forty-five and above. Plus, dump some Pwrfood into
Katt to make her an unstoppable attacking force!
Q: Who, in your opinion, is the best character?
A: This is a hard question, as each character seems to be a specialist
in something but I would have to say Bow. Bow already has good defense
and agility. You can raise his wisdom, guts, and most importantly his
strength/offense. Plus his shaminized ability is pretty damn cool.
Q: Why are Bo and Karn on Monster Island?
A: I have no idea. Perhaps they enjoy battling monsters with insanely
high strength.
Q: Where is the EmpireSD?
A: It is on a little strip of land east of TownShip. Land on it with the
bird and walk around until you come across an enemy. Defeat it and there
should be a fish spot. Enter it and use the CharmRod you obtained from
the inn on the same continent as Evari.
Q: I just defeated the well scenario in Captain but I can't take Ray
back to the hideout. Please help!
A: Ok, go south of Windia where there is a narrow cliff with stakes on
each side. Now put Sten in front and use his field ability, reach.
Q: Where can I find the rom of Breath of Fire 2?
A: Emubox.net. It's a great site with no broken links and a hell of a
lot of ROMs.
Q: How long did it take you to write this?
A: About 16 or so hours.
Q: I have already entered SimaFort for the first time and Jean has been
taken captive. Can I still get the second set of Dragon Powers?
A: No you cannot get the Dragon Powers at this time. When you have
defeated the false prince and acquired Jean, then you can.

8.) RECIPIES

Let me start out by saying that you will be unable to cook at all if you
did not choose the carpenter that constructs the "regular" houses.
Second, recipes are an essential element in BoF2 to raise your
characters' strength, luck, wisdom, and guts but you can also get items
that are rare and hard to find by cooking these recipes. The most
important ones are listed below.

NOTES:
- You have noticed that Frizbee, ShaveIce, and F.Spice are used in quite
a bit of the recipes listed above. West of Township is an island that
contains the city of Guntz. In Guntz's Item Shop you can but an
infinite amount of those items.
- The chance of acquiring a charcoal while cooking is 1/7.
- Recipes, such as Pwrfood, permanently raise your stats thusly, par's.
- You can sell Goldbars for quite a bit of money. Yet they have no real
purpose but to be sold.
- Cooking is the ultimate way to max out almost all your stats and
eventually become rich.

9.) SIDE QUESTS
------------------
Second set of Dragon Powers: There is a waterfall just east of The Wild
Cat café that is accessible by using Jean's field ability. You will see
an old man and two treasure chests. First take the treasures that
contain a SockletAR and a KmikzeBL which are very useful. Next put Ryu
in the front and talk to the old man. The old man will now give Ryu the
second set of Dragon Powers! They are:
IceDrgn: Ice attack that removes 512 HP from all enemies.
ThndrDrgn: Thunder attack that removes 512 HP from all opponents.
FireDrgn: Fire attack that removes 512 HP from all foes.
Getting the Chop-Chop technique: Before attempting to uncover the false
prince at SimaFort, you should head northwest of there to a place called
"The Wild Cat Café." Once there you must proceed through all of the
rooms and do what they instruct. Once you arrive at the one that tells
asks you how you want your meal, answer rare. The next room you step
reveals that you are the meal! You will be cooked however you ordered
for. After the wild cat himself comes out!
Boss: Wild Cat
HP: 540
Obtain: 2000 exp.
Party: Ryu, Katt, Rand, Nina
Difficulty: ******(6)/**********(10)
Est. Battle Time: 1 min.
Strategy: All you need to do is use one of Ryu's dragon attacks and he
should be finished.
The Wildcat will retreat, so follow him. Now he will ask you;
"You're not mad I tired to turn you into steaks?"

"You are soft-hearted aren't you?"
Yes <<<<<< No
Now he should be grateful and agree to teach you the Chop-Chop
technique, congratulations. On a recommendation on who to give it to, I
would have to say Sten as he is mediocre in everything. By the way,
Chop-Chop takes 60-70 HP off any enemy with the cost of 0 AP.
Getting the Boombada Spell: When you have finished the FarmTown sequence
you can return to Namanda (Northwest of Farmtown). Proceed to the prayer
room where there is a huge set of chimes. Talk to the person standing
next to the chimes to find out his partner is missing and wants to know
if you want to replace him temporarily. Answer yes and he will tell you
the consecutive steps in which are needed for the Namanda's prayer time.
This, to me, is the most difficult part of Bof2. I can only wish you
luck in administering the steps correctly, as I never have. If you do
so, you will be rewarded with Boombada which takes one half HP away from
an enemy at 0 AP.
Two Appealing Islands:
Name: Monster Island
Location: Northeast of Windia
Info: On this island there is a hut that is home to Bo and Karn, (Bof1)
and monsters such as K. Sludges, and Chorkings that offer a hearty
amount of experience.
Name: NightRider Island
Location: East of Tunlan
Info: NightRider Island has THE best armor shop in the game but you
better have a big'ol wallet to afford just one piece of armor. Also
there are Night Riders but they are extremely difficult to locate.
