Sailor Moon S & SuperS Fighting Games (SNES) -- Moves Quick Reference

Key
===
U, D, B, T: Directions (Up, Down, Back, Towards)
Weak Punch, Strong Punch, Weak Kick, Strong Kick: Attack Buttons (A, B, X and
Y respectively)
L, R: "Shoulder" Buttons -- used only in "Easy" mode.
Charge: Hold position for at least two seconds.
(S Only): Motion only works in S game.
(SS Only): Motion only works in SuperS game.


Universal Moves
===============

Reverse Dash: B, B.
Throw Recovery: D+(A+B) when grabbed. If you do this right, you'll take
around 50% of the usual damage. You must hit and HOLD the buttons AS SOON as
you realise you've been grabbed. This move works with a large majority of
throws, ground and aerial. If the throw tosses or bounces the character into
the air (Moon's Judo Toss, Mercury's DDT, etc.) then chances are that it can
be escaped from. Command throws like Jupiter's Giant Swing and Uranus'
Diving Gaia Crash can't be escaped from. Throws that don't toss the opponent
into the air (like Mars' Slap Throw & Venus' Coconut Crusher) can't usually
be escaped from.



Individual Special Moves
========================

NOTE: All these moves assume you're playing in "Normal" mode, not "Easy"
mode. In "Easy" mode, use L or R (L = weak and R = fierce -- "shoulder"
buttons, not direction) plus an attack button (A, B, X or Y) to pull off one
of the special moves. Press L+R to do the Desperation Move.


Sailor Moon/Super Sailor Moon
-----------------------------

(S Only): Moon Spiral Heart Attack: D DB B + Strong Punch or Punch (in air)
(It's possible to do this during a reverse dash -- if you're quick enough)

Moon Tiara Action: D DT T + Strong Punch or Punch.

Sonic Scream: Charge D then U + Strong Punch or Punch.

(SS Only): Moon Gorgeous Meditation: D DB B T + Strong Punch or Punch.

Head Butts: T + Strong Punch.

Judo Toss: T + Strong Kick (Works in mid-air.)


Desperation: Ginguishou (aka Ginzuishou): D DT T DT D DB B + Strong Kick.


NOTE: Sailor Moon (S) and Super Sailor Moon (SS) can both dash forward by
using T, T.



Sailor Mercury
--------------

(S Only): Shabon Spray: Charge B then T + Strong Punch or Punch

Mercury Aqua Mirage: D DT T UT + Strong Punch or Punch.

Reverse Break Step: T D DT + Strong Kick or Kick.

(SS Only): Mercury Aqua Rhapsody: D DB B + Strong Punch or Punch.

DDT: T + Strong Punch (Works in mid-air.)


Desperation: Watery Bullet: T DT D DB B T + Strong Kick.


NOTE: Mercury can wall jump in both the S and SuperS versions. Jump into the
side of the screen and then jump away -- just like Chun Li from the Street
Fighter series. Mercury will jump higher this way. And you can confuse your
opponent, who may not be expecting you to wall jump.



Sailor Mars
-----------

(S Only): Fire Soul Bird: B DB D DT T + Strong Punch or Punch

Mars Snake Fire: B DB D DT T + Strong Kick or Kick.

Flame Heel Drop/Flaming Axe Kick: D DB B + Strong Kick or Kick.

(SS Only): Mars Flame Sniper: T B + Strong Punch or Punch.

Slap Throw: R + Strong Punch.

Frankensteiner: R + Strong Kick (Works in mid-air.)


Desperation: Mars Snake Flare: T DT D DB B DB D + Strong Kick.
(Looks identical to Mars Snake Fire, but the Snake head rises and hits
several times if blocked. Can be absorbed by Pluto's Fierce Punch Fatal/Dead
Scream)



Sailor Jupiter
--------------

(S Only) Supreme Thunder Dragon: Charge B then T + Strong Punch or Punch.

Jupiter Coconut Cyclone: T DT D + Strong Punch or Punch (in mid-air.)

Jupiter Double Axle: D DT T + Strong Kick or Kick.
(It's possible to move whilst doing this move -- use Left & Right. Jupiter is
immune to projectiles whilst doing this move -- she is NOT immune to ground
projectiles like Neptunes's Deep Submerge (after it reaches the ground),
Uranus' World Shaking and Mars' Snake Fire/Flare and she is NOT immune to
air-ground projectiles (like Saturn's Press Crash or her own Coconut Cyclone,
so be alert.)

(SS Only): Jupiter Oak Evolution: D DT T A + Strong Punch or Punch.

Giant Swing: T DT D DB B UB U UT + Strong Punch or Punch.

Power Bomb: T + Strong Punch (Works in mid-air.)


Desperation: Lightning Strike: D DB B DB D DT T + Strong Punch.



Sailor Venus
------------

(S Only): Crescent Beam: D DT T + Strong Punch or Punch.

Venus Wink Sword: Charge D then U + Strong Punch or Punch.

Venus Love Me Chain: T D DT + Strong Punch or Punch.

(SS Only): Venus Love and Beauty Shock: B DB D + Strong Punch or Punch.

Coconut Crusher: R + Strong Punch.

Reverse Leg Toss: R + Strong Kick
(It's like Mars' Frankensteiner, but she doesn't slam their head into the
ground.)


Desperation: Venus Wink Flare: B DB D DT T DT D + Strong Punch.



Sailor Chibi Moon/Super Sailor Chibi Moon
-----------------------------------------

Pink Sugar Heart Attack: Charge A then T + Strong Punch or Punch.

Swinging Marshmallow: D + Strong Kick or Kick (in mid-air.)

Head Pummel: R + Strong Punch.


(S Only): Desperation: Luna-P Attack: DT D DB B + Strong Punch or Punch (in
mid-air.)
(SS Only): Desperation: Twinkle Yell (aka Twinkle/Twinkling Air and Twinkle
Bell): A DA D DT T D + Strong Punch or Punch.



Sailor Uranus
-------------

Forward Dash: T, T

World Shaking: T DT D + Strong Punch or Punch.

(SS Only) Space Sword Blaster: D DT T + Strong Punch or Punch.

Diving Gaia Crash: T DT D DB B UB U + Strong Kick or Kick.

Shoulder Toss: R + Strong Punch.

Backflip (Close): R + Strong Kick.


Desperation: Destructive Carnival: T DT D DB B DB D DT T + Strong Kick.



Sailor Neptune
--------------

Deep Submerge: D DB B + Strong Punch or Punch.

Splash Edge: T D DT + Strong Punch or Punch.

(SS Only): Submarine Reflection: Charge B then T + Strong Punch or Punch.

Shoulder Toss: T + Strong Punch (Works in mid-air.)


Desperation: Dragon Rise: T D DT T D DT + Strong Punch.



Sailor Saturn (SuperS Version ONLY)
-----------------------------------

Silence Blast: D DT T + Strong Punch or Punch.

Silence Glaive: T DT D + Strong Kick or Kick in mid-air.

Death Reborn Revolution: D DB B + Strong Punch or Punch.

Silence Slam: T + Strong Punch (Works in mid-air.)

Gut Kicks: T + Strong Kick.


Desperation: Death Drive Break: B DB D DT T B + Strong Punch.
(Allegedly, Saturn can cheese with this move, perform it, then as Saturn
finishes it, finish the motion and Saturn will do it forever. I haven't been
able to do this though ;-)



Sailor Pluto
------------

Dead Scream (aka Fatal Scream): B DB D DT T + Strong Punch or Punch
(This move has two versions, the weak one acts like a normal projectile, but
the fierce one doesn't move anywhere. It's double the size, had full-screen
height and acts like a shield. It can absorb projectiles like Jupiter's Oak
Evolution and some DMs like Mars' Snake Flare. Other projectiles like
Jupiter's Coconut Cyclone WILL pass straight through, so be careful when you
use this move, as it has a _really_ bad recovery time. Use sparingly.)

Stork Sweep: Charge B then T + Strong Kick or Kick.

(SS Only): Cronos Cyclone: T D DT + Strong Punch or Punch.

Gut Knees: R + Strong Kick


Desperation: Dimension Dance: T DT D DB B T + Strong Punch
